The staff is nice and helpful, and the location is easy access. However, the room condition is terrible, which is located in an aged building and there is a musty smell no matter how you adjust the air conditioning. The price is cheap but still not worth the money and health.

So many ants everywhere, bathroom is extremely old and shower curtain hasn't been replaced in what seems like years, the rings are rusted and old. Bathroom fixtures require refurbishment. Positives: somewhat reasonable pricing, but looks to be very good value if you book not too far in advance (check Google), the staff are helpful and the foyer is nice and clean, luggage hold service available and lift access.

We booked and confirmed a room for 3 adults at this hotel. When we arrived, we were given a small room with one small double bed. We had to ask for another mattress. They supplied a floor mattress that we had to pay for. Otherwise, the staff were kind and helpful: the carpet was dirty; there was somewhat warm water but no hot water in the bathroom; when we tried to adjust the AC, it just stayed at 22 degrees; the elevator was like a service elevator with plywood all around; and there is no place to hang around aside from your room (no lounge, place to sit, etc).

The property itself was cute and clean. The only dislike was getting into the building was a bit confusing for a foreigner. It was hard to understand which button to push, and pushing the buttons did not gain us access. We had to wait until someone came outside in order to enter.

The instructions could be better on this.

Outside of that, great and walkable! It was in a good location that made walking around to food and nearby shops easy!

I did a short stay here (in a window room) because it was close to the airport. Location was pretty convenient for getting to/from the airport and was pretty good for going to tourist sites as well. The staff is friendly and speaks English, which is a plus. Note that the place is on the 12th floor of a building, but they have good signage for you to find your way. Downside would be that the sound insulation isn't great - unfortunately my bed was placed right by where the next room's door is in the hallway, so I always heard my neighbors door when they opened / closed it. The first time I was surprised and thought someone opened my door... fortunately though they didn't open the door excessively or really late at night, and there wasn't any other hallway noise.

Hotel does not offer much facilities.

Hotel is at level 12. There is no carpark available. We have to park in another building which is non-claimable and is charging per hour rate. There is no breakfast provided. The counter staff can't even recommend where can we have our breakfast. We have to roam around searching for food. Room is small even though we booked a three bedded room. The toilet is 5 cm above the bedroom floor. Not suitable for old folks. Hardly any shopping around. Situated at old estate. Not worth for the price we paid for. Would not recommend to stay in the hotel.

Pleasant stay in Taipei!

A very pleasant stay at Urtrip. The location is excellent and it is only 8’ walk from MRT station. Many eateries around the hotel and a Family Mart downstairs. The front desk crew was excellent, they were always ready to help and offerred any assistance with their full heart. The housekeeping was also as good, made the room freshly clean every day. The room I picked is small but is enough for one single person to say without any problem. If it is possible, select the room with window so you know whether you need to bring an umbrella or not.

Good location but be aware that it is a 5-10 min. walk to the nearest station. Walls are quiet thin so that may bother some people who prefer to not hear other hotel guests. Hotel is on a single floor on a building that is next to the cinema building.

Great little hotel!

The room was small but cosy. The room space was overall sufficient. The staff were very friendly and were able to help with all inquiries. The wall was however quite thin and due to this, late in the night, the sounds of televisions and music from other rooms were sometimes heard. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would re-consider coming back in the future.

Our stay was for 5 nights. Convenient location near Nanjing Fushing station. Explored the restraunt scene around Nanjing East Road. Staff is very friendly, room is very clean. We did our laundry here without troubling our relatives! Will plan on staying here again.

Hotel was not bad actually. Location is on the Lvl 12 of a building. Convenient is that there is a family mart just below the hotel and 5 mins walk away from a night market. But small night market. Overall the hotel staffs is great and friendly. There is washing machine provided but only 1 washing machine. Hot water and microwave for us to use at the hotel as well. Cleaniness of room is alright. Make up room is great. Only thing i not sure why there is a bad moudly smell from the room. Maybe the carpet is old or the hotel is old.

Very nice hotel, very convenient to everything

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it will not be my last time. When I am back in Taipei, this will be my place to stay by choice. Really like the location and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room is great and especially the price. From the out side there is no fancy signs or decorations, but as soon as you arrive at the front desk, you can tell this is a great place to call home away from home. I want to thank all the staff for everything and especially for a pleasant place to stay. You all do a great job !

This is a budget hotel. Families, stay away. We reserved a quadruple room for a family of five. Immediately upon entering the room reeked of mildew and felt damp. The quadruple room boasts an elevated wooden platform for extra space, which unfortunately had several nails poking through the floor surface. My son immediately ripped a hole in his shorts while sitting on the floor. This hotel has serious humidity issues. The hall wallpaper and carpet were warped from being wet, and the bathroom shower tile was covered in mildew. So was the ceiling, and the grout around the sink and toilet. Our room flooded the third night. The bathroom floor was covered in water, which leaked into the room and soaked the carpet all the way to the beds and and out into the hall. The room next to ours experienced the same problem. It was evident to all parties that this was a continuing problem. The smell was incredibly bad. We moved rooms, but only after heated and angry negotiations. Room amenities listed on the website include a washer and dryer for each room, but there is ONE washer/dryer combo for the entire hotel with an average 4 hour cycle per load. Be advised, while free with included laundry detergent, it is first come, first serve so do not expect to do much laundry during your stay. Also, there is no iron or ironing board in the rooms. While I did not verify, I suspect there is only one iron and ironing board available at the front desk, so plan accordingly. It was also quite noisy.

The room is great - not big but trendy & simple design, clean, comfortable. Near to MRT station. Staff is friendly and helpful. Provide free laundry service. But sound insulation is bad. We got disturbed by mistakenly pressed room bell twice, once at night and again early in the morning. Then non stop knocking noise.

Good hotel for what it is...

This hotel has a ton of shopping/food nearby. definitely more of a \"backpackers\" hotel. The hotel lived up the \"trip\" part of its name. Both tub/shower and bathroom required huge steps to get in and out. There were also several locations where I hit my head on the ceiling and had to duck to take a shower (I'm 5'9\"). Free laundry machine, nice staff. Bed comfort was ok (for Asia). Quick walk to MTR station. Rooms can get really hot.

We only stayed for one night during a long layover. The room is basic for sleeping. It's clean but no windows. The front desk guy was friendly and helpful with suggesting a late night eatery. The fact that the hotel is only on one floor of a building is strange but the hotel felt safe. A 24 hour convenience store is right next store. Cab ride was reasonable from and to the airport.

Very friendly and helpful staff and owner; feel like staying in a modern-renovated home away from home; eager to assist with travel booking free of service charge; hotel is very clean with excellent house-keeping; 5 mins walk to the MRT; next to buses to Keelung, Jiufen and other points of interest; across from the airport bus stop; about 45 mins. to the Taoyuan Airport; just a few MRT stations from the Taipei Train Station; lots of good food in the safe neighbourhood; close to a night market, high-end, mid-end and low-end shopping areas to choose; very nice overall experience and highly recommended with excellent value of dollars spent and surely will come again

The hotel located at the center of the city, a small night market and some famous restaurant nearby.

Although the room size is not big and with no windows, but the room is clean and well-equipped. The bed is a bit soft, but I think it's really good for me.

Hotel Location is strategic, very close to the Taipei town center, walking distance to 2 of the MRT service, with buses route nearby the hotel area as well. Next to the hotel is a 3D cinema and a convenient store (like 7 eleven), opposite the hotel with some small restaurants.
Hotel provide free shuttle service to nearby places, free water supply, free tissue paper as well free cup noodle. The breakfast is not impressive but is average. (It is not a problem for me, because I would love to try local Taiwan foods rather than hotel foods)

Hotel receptionist is friendly and helpful, the only thing i can complain is the room that i get without a window but is very clean and comfy.

good enough to sleep in. hotel location is good. almost near mrt. walking distance. the hotel smells bad outside. maybe because the trash is near the lobby. and elevator old. tv old. but inside the room, its good enough to sleep in. what i love is the fast internet connection. and also free shuttle service. receptionist very helpful. also they offer free breakfast.

make sure of the location using google map. its not the location that i expected before. its farther. and onestar is different from wonstar hotel.

Don't let the physical look of

Don't let the physical look of the location fool you. It does look run down but when you arrive IN the hotel, it's relatively acceptable with tidy and most importantly, clean rooms. The service is great, they provide free shuttle transport to the city, there's free internet service, free drinks and cup noodles which are replenished everyday and everyone is very helpful, friendly. There are shopping centres, snack shops and public train transport within the area. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a budget or short transit stay!

Towels are old, thin and hard.
Bed is too soft for my liking.
There was still rubbish in the bin from the previous occupant.

Room had a huge moldy smell, luckily the windows open so we can air the room out, the smell had gone after the first day.
