Staff was extremely helpful, very understanding of everything had great suggestions of stuff to eat or do. They held my baggage for me until my flight and was a breeze to get in and out. Very close to the metro station. My only gripe is that the sound proofing could be a bit better, you can sometimes hear door slamming in the hallway. Altogether still a great stay and would stay again

The hotel is not flash, but it is comfortable, clean and well located. We enjoyed our 5 nights there. The bed was very comfortable. There’s a water refill station. The only small thing is that there is a lack of hooks and hangers.

The windowless room was small but clean and was perfect for a single traveller. Soundproof isn't so great. Doors slam pretty hard and loud. If you are a light sleeper you might get woken up by neighbours who aren't very careful about closing the door quietly.

3-4 doors require room key to unlock but the point is, it only gives you 3seconds to open the door. Very unfriendly when moving in and out with luggages. Same with the elevators. There is no way you can move your luggages to catch the elevator to check out UPSTAIRS. You must leave your belongings behind to catch the lift to check out then ride 2 rounds to move all your stuff to the front desk. For reference I have 1 full luggage and a full luggage size bag tie to my carry on.

Shared shower is very clean. However the lightings in the bathroom are the worst. It will make you very dizzy and see doubles.

The location is very convenient. There is a decent size refrigerator in the room that ACTUALLY WORK AND COLD ENOUGH. The stay 2 days before that in Hong Kong refrigerator can't even fit a bottle of water. This is a plus.

Such a great joy and bliss welcomed in super clean room. We literally “wow” when we first opened the door. Thanks to the excellent house keeping team. Everyday is clean and neat.
We can see 1/3 of Taipei 101. Sound proof of the room is superb, we do not hear any noise from the road even though the room faces main road.
Train entrance is right in front exit no.11, and bus stop is stone away. There are so many nice hidden cafes and eateries around. It is so convenient for food and right smack in centre of shopping district.

Location was convenient, and the room was nice. Breakfast was terrible, a McDonald’s delivery at 7am which was cold. The worst breakfast choice we’ve had in Taiwan. Looking at old reviews, there a lot mentioning the McDonald’s breakfast being awful, management comment that they will address this, but clearly have not.

The room is so tiny but very clean and friendly staff.
The hotel doesn't have an on-site restaurant but there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.
There are malls and department stores nearby. The Taipei 101 is 25 minutes walk.
Also, they should put a mirror in the room and add a microwave in the kitchen area.

Hotel is in a very good location where you can access to a lot of places. Room is clean and the staffs are excellent. The only recommendation is to install electrical outlets next to the beds since it is very inconvenient not to have any outlets for charging the phone or iPad. Everything else is perfect and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Staff is very friendly; however, the WiFi signal in the room is so weak that you cannot do any work unless you go outside your room. Until they upgrade their WiFi network to Mesh, I would not stay here again. WiFi connection is critical for me.

We had a good experience staying at this hotel. Our luggage was safe when we dropped it off in the morning before checking in. The hotel was clean and for the most part we didn't hear noise from the surrounding rooms. It was easy to do laundry but the dryer to the right did not work well. The two washers and dryers required coins, which we could get from the front desk. The metro entrance was right outside the building making it easy to travel around the city. We didn't pay for the breakfast at the hotel but had no trouble finding food nearby.

The water for showering turns freezing cold and burning hot every 2 - 3 minutes. So can't really enjoy the shower time. I feedback to the reception staff, but he told us to just leave the water flowing and wait.

My family booked the family room, but the bright sun ray will shine in and wake us up every morning from 6am onwards.

Good places to spend a few days if you are on a budget and look for somewhere decent in a good location. Two things might upset you: 1. Their wifi signal can be weak if you are in your room (I stayed in single bedroom for man). 2. You might be disturbed by all door closing sounds outside.

The hotel was located in an area with close proximity to the shopping and restaurant area. It was close to major lines of MRT and bus lines.
I stayed in a ladies only area which was safe and secure, however the air circulation in the rooms was not up to par. The air conditioning definitely needed a filter change.
The staff were friendly and other amenities were great!

The staff are very welcoming & helpful. The location is great between two metro stations so to get around was easy. There are also lots of shops & restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious & there's a coffee machine in the corridor so you can help yourself. We skipped breakfast as it was a delivery with limited choice. The WiFi was generally ok, did have periods when it cutout every now & then.

Location location location! Everything is really close including the train line, 2 Sogo malls, all the best eats and shops.

Hotel itself is clean and well kept but very outdated. Paint was peeling off the walls in our bathroom but on the plus side, the toiletries were all Loccitane! Free water bottles in the rooms.

Breakfast i didn’t care much for, no buffet and limited seating in the dining area so it’s always crowded and we ended up eating in our rooms. You only have a choice of 1 food item and 1 drink, either McDonald’s sandwiches/bagels or Traditional chinese breakfast which was not very good. You can always go outside for breakfast since everything is so close.

Otherwise we will definitely stay here again. Good value for money.

I've probably stayed at this hotel 8 or 9 times since 2022 — it's officially become my go-to whenever I'm in Taiwan. After trying a few other hotels in the area (I really like this location), this one won me over for good.

This trip was extra special, as my family and my brother's family came together (to attend cousin's wedding). As always, the staff were welcoming and helpful, making check-in and our stay smooth and pleasant.

The hotel is always clean and well-kept, even though it’s a bit older than some of the newer ones nearby. I appreciate how consistent the quality and service have been with each stay.

Just a heads-up for new guests: as of 2025, they no longer provide complimentary toiletries, so plan accordingly.

10 days in Taipei and loved staying here. It’s occupying two floors of a mixed-use building which is quite popular in Taipei. The staff was excellent in recommending places to get what I wanted. Daily breakfast is pre ordered and brought to the lobby for pick up. (Taiwanes breakfast or McDonalds) there’s an eating area with tea and coffee. The neighborhood is lively with many eateries including DinTaiFung. Many SOGO department stores as well. I would stay again if on a budget. Just don’t pick the rooms without windows.

Great Panorama Suite

The entrance to the building was hard to find but once we got to their simple front desk, check in was in less than 2 minutes! Our room was the panorama suite. Good for 4. With Japanese toilet and separate sink and shower which was very convenient and saved us time getting ready. Nice L'occitane products! No conditioner though.
Our floor (we were on the 13th, lobby was on the 14Th) had a common area with free flowing drinking water, a sink a coffee machine.and some toiletries. No toothbrushes though so make sure you bring your own.
Wish they had a microwave though!
All in all our stay at the Eastin Taipei was pleasant, the staff friendly and efficient. Will stay here again if I were ever to visit Taipei again.

Great Stay with Minor Quirk

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel—the rooms were cozy, and the breakfast offered a fantastic variety of delicious local and western options.

The only small inconvenience was needing to take the elevator just to move between the guest rooms and reception (just one floor), which felt a bit unnecessary. That said, it wasn’t a major issue, and overall, I’d happily recommend this hotel for its comfort and service.
