The building is old and the carpet has heavy moldy smells with bleach. So noisy in the morning from the street, you’ll be awake by the car around 5am. Not recommend at all.

A really good stay if you want to be in very close proximity to a metro and many food options. Some rooms won't have windows, but that's the tradeoff for the convenience. Would definitely stay again.

Very Small and I saw it on the ads, but TAIPEI is expensive! Its only good for quick stay business leisure but not for family. DONT GO HERE if you have a car. Parking place is terrible. The place is simple but the walls are not noise friendly.

Place seems to be under renovation. Hallways and common areas not to clean. weird reception area on the 7th floor.Room was very clean but no window makes you feel uncomfortable and unsafe in case of emergency. Nice staff

The hotel is on a few floors of an office building. You need to take the elevator up to the check-in floor.

It's extremely convenient. You can take the subway to or from Taipei Main Station in a few minutes. Street level features convenience stores, restaurants and street food stands.

Good condition and good pricing

Room condition and quality meets the pictures on the website. It's a business travel hotel, so the room is in decent size but very clean. Same for the bathroom, with sufficient space for one person and amenities and design are also pretty good.

Checkin lobby is at 7th floor and the hotel rooms takes a few different floors. My room is at 2nd floor. Going in and out of the hotel is easy, and there's a security guard at the lobby entrance of the building.

I have no problem staying there again for my solo trip back to Taipei.

The location was great but obscure. There were many kinds of shops and many things to see around the area. The staff was mechanical in providing their services. There was renovation going on the 2nd floor but luckily, I was out most of the days. I booked a business double room and got a small cubicle for a bathroom. I had to shower sideways with the shower curtain sticking to my body. I had to upgrade my room which was much better. I will definitely come back to stay in the hotel but not in the 'Business' room. I had a great time there, all in all.

The air conditioner seems broken, after I stayed a week, it still had problem, I finally told hotel people, they found the problem and change the room for me. Also toilet seems had problem too, my husband had went down 7th floor used the public toilet.

The staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful and eager to please. The location was wonderful, easy for us to walk to many places and also near a MRT station.

Our room was quite small, but it was manageable for the few days that we were there. Our biggest challenge was with the WIFI. The staff did try to come and help us, but it never worked (their attempt to help). When the WIFI was working, it was fantastic. Then suddenly, it wouldn't work. I do have meetings at times and this was a bit problematic. If we were only on vacation, this wouldn't have been a problem for me.

Breakfast is just ok. Not bad, not great ~ filled our stomachs! Overall, for the price, it was a pretty good experience.

Location is awesome. Staff are very friendly and helpful, including the cleaning staff. I've stayed here several times before with good experiences, however this time the room I was given was smaller than previous times, it smelled very strongly of citronella, and there was a problem with huge flies the size of my thumb nail buzzing around the room. I killed at least four but they just kept respawning from who knows where. Breakfast wasn't very good, coffee machines were not adjusted right..etc...

the hotel is close to MRT and easy to find. near the shopping area of 忠孝东路. the Room is comprised of a bed and a toilet, toilet is half the size of the room not sure for what. and apparently the room is for handicapped customers because u can only sit down and shower, if you stand, only body parts below waistline can be cleaned. a small window above the bed just to make sure you know if its day time or night.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Service was helpful and polite. Wei provided thorough information about the area. He also upgraded our room because he noticed we were staying for 7 days and wanted us to be comfortable. Location was great - near shopping, nightlife, and MRT (most of Taipei might be like this.) And despite being near a busy road, our room was very quiet. Breakfast was huge! Items changed daily so it was always interesting. Things like buns, fruit, rice porridge, sides, toast, juice, coffee and cereal are offered. Only negative was there was a weird smell in our room, probably from the carpet. It was a bit old and stained. Like most Asian hotels we've stayed at, you need to use your key to turn the power on in the room. We opted to pay a 500nt$ refundable deposit to get a second key that we left in the room, so the room would stay cool. I would definitely stay here again.

The RF hotel is located in a very good location close to a mrt on North and south, high end stores street, restaurants behind the hotel... it is a 2.5 or 3.0rate .. the breakfast is not my favourite food, I wish they had more western food, the room I had was comfortable and quite.. big screen t.v, the water .

the property is within the city. very near shopping areas. likewise with the night markets. taipe 101 is within the distance. the hotel staff were very accommodating and very much to assist you. the room is fairly clean. the breakfast is quite alright, buffet to be specific. tour prices a little bit expensive. taxi fares also very costly. foods were relatively affordable within the vicinity if the property. will recommend to friends and other tourists.

The location is good. There're many restaurants and shops around. For the room, I was surprised when I see the window can't be closed in the bathroom. It's like a metal net thingy that wind can be slipped through. Can't imagine how it is in winter... There's a used contact lense left on the desk, a bit gross....The hotel is very close to the main street. Very noisy actually.

This is a budget hotel suitable for backpackers/ travellers.

I didn’t have a great experience. It was a bit damp. I was originally put in a room with basically no windows next to the lift where you could hear the lift voice all the time. The staff very kindly moved me, but the bed was rock solid and the WiFi didn’t work. There’s also no simple things like a clock or a full length mirror. Also no room service or early breakfast before 7.

We were there for business, so this all wasn’t good for what we needed.

It was clean and staff were friendly.

Great location

The location is ideal for exploring Taipei. It is handy to the mrt giving access to the entire mrt network which covers most of taipei area.
The hotel offers business rooms which are a little on the small side but bearable as most of the time you are out.
Friendly staff and good housekeeping.
Room doors don't lock automatically you need to lock your door using a key. I tended to forget at first as most hotels have automatic locking doors.
Breakfast is aimed more for Asian visitors and a little light in foreign breakfast requirements.

I had a great stay at Hotel RF. So many great things about this place, especially at the price:
- professional and friendly staff who spoke English well.
- good included breakfast. they had both western and Chinese options in a buffet style in their sunny and nicely decorated dining area. I opted for eggs, toast and pork buns each morning. great quality. only suggestion is to include some fresh cut fruit.
- great location. it's in the middle between Zhongxiao Dunhua and Sun Yat-sen Hall stations which is very central to getting around anywhere in the city.
- room was clean. also, felt pretty fresh, with no hint of cigarette smoke.
- wifi. it was reliable and speed was pretty good.
- quiet

why the price is low:
- the room was super mini. I had a double bed which took up most of the space in the room. there was a small bathroom, which was separated from the room by glass. The glass had some privacy film, but maybe didn't cover it completely. note there was a little desk, flat screen TV, place to hang shirts, and a safe.
- beyond where the door opens, the bed and everything else is one step above. So the ceiling was very low. Maybe 7 feet.
- no tub, and shower floor isn't separated from the rest of the bathroom. the floor below the toilet and sink will be a little wet after you shower.
- small window, which didn't let in a lot of light.
- lobby floor is on the 7th floor. The ground floor is pretty drab, but good thing is there is door man there.

This hotel is in a great location close to the MRT. It is a bit odd that reception is on the 7th floor and our room was on the 4th floor. The beds are very hard. This seems to be standard for Taiwan. It was clean and tidy but very small space. Breakfast was included but just a basic continental breakfast with some hot food also but not suited to the Western Palette.

Very tiny room but good location

I booked a twin room as shown in the picture on the website. During my checkin, I was given a tiny room which is good for single. The room is so tiny that u don't even have space for lugguge. The bathroom is directly next to the bed and if you are not careful when bathing, the bed might get wet too. The lobby is located on 7th floor of an old building. The sewage smell is quite bad! Have to keep the bathroom closed at all times.

Tiny, crammed room, no walking area.

This is the second time staying here. The 1st time was good but the 2nd time, we were shocked to see such a tiny room, after putting 2 mid size luggages, no more space to walk! I even hit my head by the ceiling near the window area. My wife has to crawl over me in the middle of the night to use the toilet. We stayed on the 9th floor. Everything was good except the room size. We felt so crammed in the room and with the value that we paid for, it is definitely not worth it. Will not come back for the 3rd time.

Worn-down hotel in lively neighborhood

The room interior was worn. Low ceiling and windows below eye height. There was relocation work on other floors and elevator was packed in carton. Felt more like a warehouse than a hotel. Very limited choice during breakfast. Rooms are noisy. There were hairs from other guests in the bath room and housekeeping did not open curtains after cleaning. In-room safety box did not work. Would not stay here again.

I have book the room without mini fridge. I have done a plastic surgery so I need to use my cool pad for 3time per day. The young cheerful lady staff are advised me change my room to 3th floor .she said that convenience for me use they restaurant fridge it's for me. So I everyday I have pass my cool pad to her or her colleagues who are also helpful and understand my condition. They not mind replied again and again help me with this condition. I really appreciate this. Of course I will stay with this hotel again. Environment is good quiet and convenient a lot restaurant around even 3am I can get food. The cleaned are really helpful too. Love this hotel very much

It is a kind of renovated office building as a guest room. I should have noticed that the address was printed as ~ building \"3/F\". The room is super tiny, only has a space for a double bed(no queen, no king, either), and bathroom door is glass with thin film - furthermore, toilet faucet is just in front of the door! so you can see the silhouette while your partner's pooping thru the door! LoL Pay few more dollars more for better accommodation and enjoy your trip more delightfully.

This hotel is a small business run hotel it is located in an office building on the 3rd floor. It is hard to find for the first time. Once you get to the room, it is ok. It is clean at least especially the washroom. It is convienent to the MRT so you can travel around to most of the attraction.

Convenience hotel close to MRT.

My parents visited me in Taiwan for 5 days. I booked this hotel for them since RF hotel was close to my place and they gave a reasonable price compared to other hotels in this area. Hotel staffs are really nice and service minded, it was clean inside hotel. There were a few thing I couldn't be pleased with. For the first thing, It was quite dark inside room. The second thing was cleaning-room was not well completed on the second day. However, I still wanna recommend friends to stay this hotel! Thank you!
