This certainly has to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. From the moment we walked in to reception to the moment we left, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The whole hotel is very modern and had all the amenities you could need. A great location in the city, and the nearest MRT is on the corner of the street. With free drinks and snacks during the early evening and a chance to chat with other guests being a bonus. We will definatly be back.

Staff are best! Excellent location. Love the arty feel of the hotel.

Two minor negatives: I stayed on level 11 (below the restaurant and bar), while sound proofing is good, you can hear frequent walking and chairs moving. If you are light sleepers, avoid that floor.

Also, the bedhead uses considerable space of the bed so if you like me (medium height 178cm), you will find your toes to be at the edge of the bed. If you are taller, definitely remove the bedhead!

Would just highlight that the property is not big - the lobby area is small, and all the guests luggage is stored in the lobby: so it feels/looks a bit hectic at peak times. The room design feels centred on practicality for cleaning and low maintenance rather than guest comfort. Our room did have a balcony though with great views. The staff are amazing. A great base for a city getaway.

An upmarket business hotel so not recommend to bring spouse/partner. The room is a little small (hence the business hotel) but has everything.

Heard the restaurant Tavernist is excellent, we couldn't get a table because it was fully booked. Perhaps the hotel can be kind enough to offer/suggest to the stay guests?

Yuck, Pets Allowed!

The hotel lied about having a no pets allowed floor. When I walked in, I was itching a little. Then I got a bite from sitting on the sofa chair. Then my aunt got a rash and bumps on her ankles and itching.

The tile floors had mold and mildew on it.

It's a nice hotel, but too expensive for having to put up with dirty animals in it.

Normally, I would never book a pets allowed hotel, but I didn't have any options around that area. I gave it a try, but will never do it again.

Rather disappointing for one of the most expensive hotels in Taipei.

Room was rather basic (a lot of the plug sockets would not work properly, no wardrobe and few coat hangers on the open space version they had) and clinical although that seems to be the Kimpton brand.

Staff are very nice although check in process is a little fussy and wish could just do it at desk rather than made to sit and wait etc.

Location is great and main reason I stayed here.

I was hoping this would replace my old favourite hotel - Home Hotel Daan (which was around the corner, much cheaper but above this in every way but sadly closed during covid) - for the business trips I do 4-5 times a year to Taipei. Biggest thing preventing this though is that they have no changing room or shower on offer - so no way to wash etc if you have a late flight and checked out. This seems very common at such expensive hotels so surprised here. I did ask the friendly staff how I could feedback on this and given a weblink to feedback on but that link never worked hence the review here will have to do instead (sorry Kimpton!)

Finally, I would also prefer a cheaper \"without longe access\" option as dont get to make the use of that most times due to work and if below the crucial 6,000 NTD a night mark most me and my business colleagues use would be more likely to use and stay in future. As it is they seem very happy to be tourist orientated rather than business

Kimpton is one of my favority brand in the World. This was the reason to chose this hotel in this Taipei travel.
1) Excellence location: If you plan to use TSA (Songshan Airport), only less than 30 min from Airport to Hotel (by Subway or Taxi). And also can use blue (BL) and brown (BR) line subway easily. Can reach Dongmen area by walk or bike. You can rent bike from hotel too. 2) Modern place: The hotel built recently. Overall design and facility place quite new and morden. 3) Pet friendly: Love this point too. Kimpton brand is generaly pet-friendly. No need additional charge and hotel prepare the amenity for your love one (pet) too. This time, I didn't travel with pet. However I could see the time spend with the others having a great time with pet in Happy hour.

This is our first experience staying at a Kimpton hotel. Previously through friend’s invite, I had brunch on the 12th outdoor area, overall was a positive experience. I particularly liked its private vibe. When it comes to value, as the Taiwanese like to quote “value of CP”, honestly it was in the low side for me.

I truly enjoyed all the thoughtful design details in the room. Overall the cleanness fell short. Not very thorough.

The staff were always very helpful and friendly. The breakfast selection was great and with more than good amount in quantity.

We stayed here for 4 nights this trip. While I understood that the room assignments are rather on a first come first serve base, for the clients who stay more than 2/3 nights should have a bit more of the latitude on the floor choices as on those lower floors at this particular location, wasn’t that aesthetically pleasing on general.

Fantastic stay at Kimpton Da An. We originally planned to stay 2 nights and move to W Hotel but we decided to extend our stay after just one night. We were super impressed by the awesome service and excellent location. The hotel is near the MRT exit and is a great licale for foodies with so many excellent eateries nearby.

A special shout out to the Kimpton team of Jeff, Hunter and everyone else. They made us feel so welcome and we extremely attentive and proactive - well done team. 6 star service and we'll definitely come back to visit.

Love love this place! VERY friendly staff, convenient location, and pets are allow!!! As I arrived, I was immediately greeted. The lobby were full of guests checking out and in, but if you have Elite status, please informed them so at least you don’t have to wait in line, be seated and offer a refreshment beverage while the check in process is initiated for you. Everyone here speaks fluent English, eager to please and take cares of you! So BE kind and patience, no one’s can read minds, if you like or don’t like something, let’s them know, I’m sure they will take cares of your needs. One of the most dog friendly hotels in Taipei. I celebrated my birthday here and the staff were nothing short of amazing in caring for me, my girlfriend, and my girlfriends’ dog!
The restaurant on the 12th floor, The Tavernist, also served amazing food for a decent price as well - and they are also very dog friendly! Could not have had a better experience here.

Our new go-to hotel in Taipei

THIS HOTEL IS AMAZING!! It is tastefully designed and the staffs are very attentive and professional! The layout of the hotel room is also very efficient and make good use of the available space. The daily morning kickstart (crossiant and soy milk) and daily evening social hour (complimentary wine) adds a unique touch to the hotel. Location is very good too. A few minutes walk from Zhongxiao Fuxing exit 3 and near alot of good restaurants. This will now be our go-to hotel everytime we visit Taipei! Do note that it's a boutique hotel with the toilet semi/partially open so it will be more suitable for couples instead. ^^

Day of check-in though mentioned will call me when room is ready but didn't and the house keeping needs to improve where items either are not cleaned thoroughly ie., cups with stains & matts with long hair stuck in it. I would like to mentioned two staff that stand out Human at the front door and Judy in-check counter that tried to rearrange my accommodation due to bathroom drainage issue. I would recommend this hotel for location and being one of the newest hotel post covid. However the service overall can be improve on specific areas as mentioned.

Aesthetic hotel with everything you'll need

I booked this hotel for a simple birthday staycation. The location is great (like 5 min walk from 2 Sogos, and 10min from Breeze) and the aesthetic of the hotel is very cool. Everything looked new/modern and CLEAN. You can tell they've taken appropriate additional epidemic prevention measures. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is that the bed and pillows are really soft whereas my husband and I prefer firmer mattresses and memory foam pillows. Also, the bathroom door was freakishly heavy?! The service is excellent and friendly. Since this hotel is so pet-friendly, we got to see lots of little friends in the lobby despite not having one our own. The included breakfast was a great departure from the typical Eastern/Western buffet. You know...the ones with the watered down scrambled eggs and sad congee... The Tavernist is their in-house restaurant with breakfast menu (Eastern/Western options) and tableside service.

I booked a room for 3 adults, following Expedia’s recommendation, the room turned out to be a premier king size room. While the room was spacious and modern, it doesn’t sleep three adults which is disappointing.

After liaising with the front desk staffs, they managed to arrange a roller bed for our room (despite that the hotel was fully booked and all roller beds had been occupied).

We appreciate the assistance from the hotel staff (special shout out to Alex Lee who was very accommodative and definitely put customers’ priority at first). Despite the small hiccups, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is conveniently located, new, spacious and has helpful staffs who listen to their customers’ need and try their best to assist.

A lovely hip modern boutique hotel located in Da'an which is surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Just a 5 minute walk away to the mall and the train station. I particularly like the fact they had a living room concept with free drinks in the morning and evening. The room was large and comfortable. The only issue is that the toliet door is see-through which may not be comfortable for guests. The concierge staff were amazing, super friendly and went the extra mile to help you make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.

The best part of the hotel is the location, right in the heart of the city at Zhongxiao Fuxing. I've stayed in Taiwan many times, running the gamut from 3 star hotels to the Mandarin. In my mind this is near the top - but the small size of room and the quality of towels is not where some of the top places are. Plus, they don't have many breakfast options outside of Western style breakfast, and (like other reviewers mentioned) the bathroom/shower situation is weird. It also seems strange that there is no vent in the bathroom, which seems like it would lead to a mold situation later on. Overall, I thought it was nice but wasn't as impressed as I should've been for the price and for what is supposed to be a 5-star place.

Highly recommend this hotel

I rarely give reviews, but this hotel was absolutely wonderful. Even before I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful. When I asked about a spa onsite (note: Hotels.com states this property had a spa on site; it doesn’t), they said they didn’t but offered two nearby spa suggestions, booked my appointment, and even got me a 20% discount. Everyone I encountered was friendly. The amenities are all top notch and the space itself is sleek, modern, simple, and beautiful. I found a couple of hairs in the sink area but otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the complementary happy hour but it’s a great touch. Loved the Tavernist bar and the bartender and other staff members were friendly and fun to chat with for a solo traveler. I was only there for one night and wish I had stayed for another night or two. Definitely stay here.

THE hotel to stay in Taipei

Pros:
Design: brand new, Scandinavian modern design, sight for sore eyes especially for those into architecture, mixture of wood, matt paint, white tiles, brass/ stainless steel, leather as the elementary materials; top-notch furnishings
Spacious: you can do a cartwheel in the room, open two large suitcases with still loads of space to walk around
Cleanliness: spotless
Sleep: large comfy bed, quiet, temperature control easy
Service: very very helpful and friendly staff, free tea/ wine in the evening at the lobby
Location: 5 min walk from subway station; safe neighbourhood; close to city centre
Dining: you HAVE TO try their breakfast; not buffet style; order to make, the most delicious seafood porridge I have ever had; also the restaurant is very very well designed

Cons:
I dunno any really... Maybe the price? I think it's just a tad above average at most. With what it offers, the price is actually reasonable.
Location maybe, not the closest district to the noisiest and most touristy places, wait is that a pro?
Just trust me and give it a try. Wont' regret it.

We were only here one night, but thought this was a great hotel. The lobby and room were beautiful, staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the location is good. We had a suite room for my husband, teenage son and myself. Everything in the room is thoughtfully designed, and the toiletries were quite nice too. Would definitely recommend!
