Excellent location - near the MRT, numerous places to eat, two convenience stores (7-11) and beauty store. Great Taiwanese breakfast across the street (adjacent to the Firehouse).
Very helpful doorman who got us a taxi with delivery to the early check-in for your luggage at the Taipei Main Station. Very nice breakfast available daily with your stay. This was our third visit to Taipei Fullerton Hotel-South.

Staff is excellent: Jonny, Kail, and bellman Mr.Lin. Easy to send/receive packages.
Room: looks like need some upgrade (Curtain, Safety Box is using non-chargeable batteries). Things ate staring to break. Temperature is fixed centrally; not able to adjust cold/hot. So when the temperature drops, had to borrow extra blanket to keep warm.
Breakfast: no tomatoes throughout my 2 months stays. Not much variety.
Fitness room: still leaks when rain. So I take walks in DaAn park nearby.
Location: very convenient to DaAn station and bus stops (right outside of the hotel). Steps away from 永和豆浆。
Been staying here for over 15 years for business/ leisure trips.
Honestly, it is time to upgrade the building. Hope my constructive criticism helps. Thanks.

I erroneously assumed this is part of the Fullerton chain in Asia. It was not! They just named themselves The Fullerton. Not nice.
I booked the \"Fullerton Room\" assuming it was the signature room. It was a small room with one side of the bed only 2 ft away from the sliding door to the toilet/ bathroom.
The bathroom has one switch which turns on/off the lights and heating at the same time. It was considerate to have heating in the bathroom but there should be 2 separate switches for personal choices. We were there for 3 nights, 31°C!!! You get the picture.
The breakfast was ok.
No other onsite restaurants.
The one only positive is its proximity to a major MRT station.

The location is very convenient and steps away from the metro station. While it is on the main road, good noice insulation means you don’t hear the traffic or the elevated trains that go by. Breakfast buffet is just so so.

Location, location, location. The hotel is conveniently located near Da'an Station servicing two major subway lines. Taipei 101, CKS Memorial and Taipei Main Station are all a few stops away on the Tamsui-Xinyi line. You can also ride it all the way to visit Tamsui. Use Exit 4 which has escalator access to exit from Da'an Station. There's a 7-11 and a few tea shops between the station and the hotel. Many restaurants, including a soy milk shop, are nearby. My favorite part is there are two SOGO department stores about 15 minutes away by foot; I prefer the food court and the bakery at the Fuxing SOGO.

The staff at the hotel were personable and helpful; I would give the staff 5+ stars. Breakfast was okay as the hot dishes were lukewarm at most. The only real negative was the windows in the room were quite small and dirty, especially on a rainy day with the condensation. It rained almost every day during my stay.

One of my favorite hotels in Taipei. Close to shopping and restaurants. Metro is in walking distance. Hotel offers free coffee and pastry during the day, in a lovely common area. Room itself is clean with a comfy bed.

This hotel is reasonably priced and in a great location. The Daan subway stop is only 5 minutes away on foot, and the Daan park about 13 (you can also take the subway 1 stop to minimize walking). The fitness center is lacking, but there's a decent gym called Project Fitness that's about a 3 minute walk that charges 1.5 NT per minute (just use your subway card). If you need to do laundry, there's a coin operated laundromat about 7 minutes away.

The included breakfast buffet includes enough variety to satisfy most palates. There's fruit, salad, breads, some hot dishes, scrambled eggs (you can kindly ask for hard boiled or fried eggs), soup, congee, and cereal.

The rooms are comfortable once the AC and dehumidifier are turned on. There's a mini fridge and they give you a bottle of water everyday, which is nice. And there's coffee, tea, and cookies available on the first floor. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return next time I'm in Taipei!

Good location. The breakfast is good. The bed is a bit hard. We arrived the hotel around 7:30am and our room was ready, but we were asked to pay extra TWD1,500 for early check in, which was a bit odd to me. I’ve travelled a lot all over the world but I’ve never been asked to pay an early check in fee.

It’s an ok hotel - overpriced though

The first room I stayed in was very humid and had a damp musty smell to it - I didn’t complain as I was only there for the night. The second room wasn’t humid at all, but was very very cold - I couldn’t figure out how to turn down the aircon, even though I turned it off several times. This is a basic 3* hotel, the breakfast is also very limited, but I could get a cup of tea with scrambled eggs and some fruit so it is sufficient for me.

The location is perfect, the bed is comfy and the shower and soaps provided are great.

Unfortunately the spoundproofing and other aspects of the hotel are dated. The room window is a very thin single pane of glass so street noise can be heard.

The first night i was woken up at 5am by roadworks outside.

The second a drunk guest woke me up at 3am trying to get into my room.

I suppose these are beyone the control of the hotel - but still effected my experience.

I felt rushed at check-in. She talked so fast, i asked her to repeat nearly everything. The room. Ha! Tiny window. There was no air conditioning. July Taiwanese summers are hot. When i called to get help, i felt that i was inconveniencing the staff. Housekeeping and restaurant staff were great. English tv channels were nice. Location is amazing. Value for price was not there.

1) Receptionist is local knowledgeable and helpful.
2) Poor breakfast standard and service. Bad coffee from Cory pot. Very, very limited food selection, rice is not hot even in rice cooker. Staff is in/out pantry but does not offering egg service until you waiting a long time and ask.
3) Hotel does not offering day use rate. We pay full rate in order to check out at 1830 hours as flight leaves at 2345 hours. This hotel is not in our prefer list in future.

The hotel is located at a very convenient location near Daan Station. Easy accessible to all locations in Taipei.
Service staffs were very good, attentive and makes our stay very comfortably.
Everything is to notch other than the breakfast spread could be healthier, with less processes food. But overall food is delicious.
I'll definitely booked this hotel again when in Taipei and recommend friends and relative likewise.

It’s located near the Da-an MRT station (the red line), very convenient to commute to the shopping and sight-seeing areas. The staffs were friendly.
The gym was neat and surprisingly right next to their rooftop garden. The only thing I may add was the running machines didn’t work but that doesn’t affect my experience staying there. I would recommend the hotel to my friends and families.

Desk Staff services was terrible. Curbside staff was good, but room cleaning staff was unacceptable. In the past, new laundry bags were in the closet. This time my wife had to find housekeeping staff and ask for one, only this time it was used and still had a previous room number on the bag.

Pros: Central location. 5min walk to Da'an station, which intersects red line and brown line so within close proximity to CKS memorial hall, Taipei zoo and Raohe Night Market. Friendly staff. Has bellhop. 24/7 access to coffee and tea downstairs. Very good breakfast. They let us store our luggage overnight while we went on an excursion to Jiufen.

Cons: Building although nice, is showing its wear and tear especially in public areas. Requires a renovation. Communication prior to arrival needs improvement. I tried to message them several times through Expedia chat about whether we can store luggage overnight and got no reply.

The lobby launge room is very cozy. I can enjoy a cup of cappuccino while chatting with friend.
The sauna room is very nice as well. However, the hot tub temperature was set too high during my last stay.
The fitness center does not look appealing and had some bad smell.

Overall a good experience. Although only later did I realize it was not related to the Fullerton Group of hotels. During my room selection I indicated I had a baby below 1yo but they gave me an additional single bed which didn’t make sense. Although it was quickly resolved when I called the front desk. The breakfast was mediocre not a very big spread but decent I guess. It had the basics and a Chinese breakfast of sort. Located on the same side of the street n short walk from the train station with many convenience stores around was good so we could get late night snacks. Overall still an enjoyable stay.

It's close to the metro station and great food places. The breakfast is great. The hot spring spa is a nice feature, but the water temperature of the hot spring is too high to enjoy. I think the night shift front desk staff was covered by the security guard, because he was totally unprofessional. He answered the front desk phone with just one word \"Wei\" with a tone sounds like \"What.\" He also got my in-room service order wrong. It was only 9:30 PM on a weekday, but the service quality dropped dramatically. I told the day shift front desk staff, they didn't seem to care much.

It’s a great and affordable place in the centre of Taipei. The hotel is right next to the MRT station and there are many convenience shops and restaurants in the surrounds, where we can enjoy the food in any time of the day.

The staff were very friendly and helped us a lot with the surrounds.

We will definitely return to this hotel again.
