Staff are great. They always greet and are very informative. The area is convenient to everything. It right next to a 24 hour convenient store and it is a block away to famous Shida night market, which has great food stalls and hole in the walls type restaurants to cover you from breakfast to supper. It is also 15 minute walk away to MRT stations. There are also multiple bus stops right in front of the hotel.

This hotel is in a safe area. There is a 24-hr supermarket and a police station next to it. It's close to the Shiida night market and Shiida University. The walk to MRT station is about 10 min. Room space is more than adequate at this price point. Wish the bathroom had more hangers for towels and the mattress can be softer. We enjoyed our stay at Goodmore.

Pros:
1) There's a communal space for free tea, coffee, and some snacks.
2) It's close to many cafes and restaurants.

Cons:
1) The room was very humid and smelled due to the high humidity. The fact that it has no windows makes things worse.
2) The wifi was fairly unstable. I had to travel and work during my time there, and it did not allow stable connections. You might need to reconsider if you need good wifi for meetings online.
3) One has to walk about 1km to go to the closest MRT station. You don't have to do that unless you use Uber or take buses all the time.

Quality of rooms, hallways, and especially \"business center\" was unexpectedly low. Had problems with WiFi. Problems communicating with most staff in English. In sum this is a hotel for budget travelers, although the price does not suggest it. For me, as I needed to be nearby, location was convenient.

My second time staying here, and I was perfectly happy since I was a solo traveler. Rooms are small and my room (double twin) didn't have a closet... just hooks and hangers on the wall. But it did have good wifi, quality linens, modern bathroom, a safe, and a small fridge. Staff are friendly and there are complimentary snacks and beverages in the lounge. A small Carrefour supermarket is literally next door. Overall, an excellent value and a great location near Shida and Da'an Forest Park, though it's a 10-12 min walk to the nearest metro (Guting or Dongmen stations); fortunately there are tons of bus stops within 50 meters.

I'm generally satisfied, but I have two complaints.
I chose this hotel because the reviews stated there was a washing machine on the second floor, but today, May 2024, there is no washing machine.
The wifi speed is extremely slow at night, making it impossible to watch videos sometimes .

I booked this hotel because of its very close proximity to where I needed to be. In a city full of kind accommodating people, this place stood out as the complete opposite.. It started with a simple request to separate the bed into 2 singles (the double bed was just 2 single beds joined together). It was late 7pm, so I said I would separate the bed if they can give me an extra blanket and a pillow. First they acted like they didn’t understand my request and then said it can’t be done and when I asked for a different room they said it can’t be done, then lectured me that I should have requested it earlier and they would do it for me. They finally obliged with blanket and pillow but didn’t mention that I needed sheets too. When I asked the next morning for them to separate it for me (due to no sheets), they gave me attitude and said they won’t. When I came back for the day, another staff member said they did it but it would have been a different charge if I had booked 2 singles (ok, so why didn’t they just say it when I first asked). After that, I had to walk pass the grumpy staff every day for the rest of the week which was extremely uncomfortable and not what you want or expect on vacation. At the end of the stay, I accidentally left a gourmet food gift box in the fridge and asked if anyone had found it. It was obviously in there and they said no. I asked if someone can check the room and they said someone has already moved in to the room. Couldn’t wait to get out of there!

There was 1 elevator that was tiny & slow. The room was small, the bathroom was nice but seemed to have no towel racks. Staff was friendly. Our final night there was a planned power outage, which we were informed about, but at some point a lound alarm noise came from the phone and the power never came back on. We had to call the front fesk to have them come to the room to get the power going.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The facility is NOT what I expected for the price (173.58 USD/night). The entrance of the building, front desk area, elevators, hallways, and room floor were old and dirty-looking. The bathroom shower and sink were clean, but there was no water for the shower before 7 p.m. This place is like a youth hostel rather than a business hotel.

By western standards the room is very small and the bathroom clear glass walls were a bit surprising but the curtain in front of the bathroom wall worked and everything was fine. This is a no frills hotel but for the one night it worked. It was a short walk to a small night market that was great. In the morning there were several choices for breakfast including Starbucks and several restaurants. Staff was friendly and spoke enough English to help us get through check in and check out with only English speakers in our party. The one problem was locating the hotel as it doesn’t come up correctly on google maps. We showed the driver the address at the airport and we’re dropped off miles away from the hotel. We had to get a second Uber and just used the name of the hotel and not the address and he drove to the front door. Not really the hotels problem but will use the name and not the address next time.

The hotel has very friendly reception staff, and the rooms are clean and updated. The micro-rooms are definitely small (as I expected), but are comfortable and have big bathrooms. Having a small business area on the 7th floor with snacks, and coffee was a pleasant addition.

I would suggest that a water machine is installed at reception. I don't like to drink bottled water (for environmental reasons), and the business area's machine is only open from 7:00-21:30.

The hotel is near Da'an Park, NTU university, Shida Night Market, and lots of restaurants and cafes. The public transportation options are also very good.

This is my 2nd time staying in Goodmore hotel after 5 years. It doesn’t disappoint! Even better!

Kudos to Narsha! She’s super nice and friendly. She helped me check in. She asked guests if they wanted water. She offerree an umbrella before I asked in a rainy day. She remembered me when I picked up my luggage. She’s awesome! She make guests feel like home.

I needed a room for 1 night on a weekend. Most other hotels were all booked. This hotel was listed as $200USD per night. This hotel is absolutely a $50USD per night room. It is a basic room and the clean towels smelled like cigarettes. This hotel is more on par with a hostile. Be careful how much you pay.

Experienced a few challenges that management was quick to address, such as a nonfunctioning TV and was immediately switched to another room. The room to which I had switched also had problelms and I was given an upgrade.

Management is quick to respond to customer needs.

If you are booking, be sure to get an individual room with an upper bunk. The lower bunks are too close to the floor and easily dirtied.

Very much over priced place.

I paid over HK$4800 for three nights. That’s over two hundred US dollars per night. What I got was a windowless room with the most basis two single beds, a tv, a fridge ,a lamp, one stool and nothing else！ There was no closet, only two cloth hangers on a hook on the wall! No safety box, nothing else. Room was dim and so minimal, And hotel occupies five or six floors in an old building in a residential area. The so called lobby is just a counter in entrance hall of the building. Can’t imagine they can over charge that price for this kind of rooms. Does not worth half of its value. Definitely will never consider this hotel again. No way!

Great location, within walking distance to NTNU, Da'An Park, NTU, and some of the best food and shopping in Taipei! A 24-hour supermarket is next door. Very helpful and accommodating staff who did everything with a smile. Breakfast was abundant - I loved the Taiwanese options especially. Super clean facilities and amenities. Room and bathroom were small, but immaculate, and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable (firm), and had all cotton linens and down duvets. The only downside is that there isn't a dresser or closet, so we just left our suitcase on the floor or on the wide shelf; a few more hooks on the wall would be helpful.

The carpet is not very clean, they need to do a better job at cleaning. In addition, the room is so small, they should never have a king size bed in a such small room. They should just use a duble bed for this room size. Also, the AC unit is bad, it is either very cold or not cold. If you turn the AC off, it becomes very stuff, when you turn it on, it get cold. If you turn the temp up, then the air goes warm. Not a very comfortable stay. There is no closet space; thus, it is not good to stay here for more than couple days.

Not value for money during weekend

We stayed at Executive Double room for two nights during weekend, it's totally not value for money. The room was spacious enough to put wardrobe and sofa but there were no such things being provided. Also lighting was poor, you could only do reading right next to the table lamp. Wifi was not stable. For location, it's a bit far from Guting station and not much restaurants nearby.

A Hotel in the Heart of Everything

This hotel is conveniently located near Shida market & Yongkang Street. Also, it is about a 10-12 min walk to Dongmen and Guting Station. It is a 2 min walk to NTNU. There is a Welcome Market right next to the hotel. This hotel is near great eats and shopping. The reception staff is super friendly & helpful. The option to reserve hotel and free daily breakfast makes everything easy. The hotel also provides free bottled water. It is not a luxury hotel, but is certainly one of the best 3 Star hotels. If you're looking for great value and ideal location, this is the ideal hotel to stay at.

Also I could hear the person in the room next to me, the TV at night and the alarm the next morning. Convenient Hotel for Stay near Shida Night Market

Hotel is closed to the National Taiwan Normal University and the National Taiwan University. The Shida Night Market is within 5 minutes walking distance. 24-hour Welcome adjacent to the Hotel. Despite the hotel is converted from residential building, the room and breakfast areas are spacious. The front desk is very friendly and made very helpful suggestions.

Overall a lovely, modern, clean and modest hotel. Rooms are comfortably small but functional, we really like the new modern bathroom. Staff is friendly and is knowledgeable of transportation network and attractions around the area such as the night market for food. Some can speak fluent English - she helped us book a restaurant. They provide a modest breakfast selection - really enjoyed it's mince pork rice. They were also thoughtful enough to provide tea and snacks at the restaurant during midday/early afternoon, though we couldn't enjoy it often as we were often out and about.

The location of the hotel was good - it's next to a supermarket, night market and a short walk from an MRT station. The staff were mostly very friendly. The cleanliness of the room, however, was very much subpar, and was probably the reason for the low price. The room was very dusty and I had a rather uncomfortable stay; there were patches of mold on the bar fridge in the room, as well as on the wooden cabinet next to it. Even though the hotel is very affordable, I don't plan to come back again as I don't think the management pay much attention to room hygiene.

First time staying and was disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Seems like they never vacuumed nor wip down nor keep the shower clean. The first day condition is same after 3 days stay. Apparently the cleanliness of the room needed to advise the front desk. When inquiring seems like a week stay means a week lack of cleaning. Maybe this was just our room but it could have been better and cleaner. Seems like they lack quality control and the basic condition could have been better.

An okay business hotel.

A typical business hotel. Location is close to national taiwan normal university. Abut 10-15 mins walk to metro. There is a night market nearby, which is very convenient. A supermarket just right next to the hotel. The hotel is reonvated from an apartment I guess thus no lobby basically in this hotel.
The environment is quite and not much to see. The room is clean but may need a bit renovation, as some wall papers fell off. The toilet is very small.
