This hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We stayed during New Years and they served food at midnight and provided rain gear to watch the fireworks. We had an early flight and they packed a breakfast for us. They are just so considerate every step of the way. The rooms were clean and provided everything needed.

Overall, the hotel was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room I stayed in was too small, and there was no space to place our luggage. I didn’t realize that 194 sq. ft. would feel that small.

Additionally, the washers and dryers should be replaced with more efficient machines. I spent more than an hour, and my clothes still did not dry at all.

Recommend getting a room with a window. Windowless room feels claustrophobic. Also, room has a musty smell, so need to run dehumidifier constantly. Hotel has only 1 elevator, so be prepared to wait. Front desk is professional but feel a little bit cold.

Parts of the property is under construction so there’s noise btw 10-5pm & that’s the main reason it’s only a 4 star. I would’ve change my res but it was too late but I’m glad I didn’t. My First impression of the bldg is not great, the front is a 7-11 store & its entrance is on the side. The location is great!!! Located across Daan park & metro station,Close to shopping & restaurants, a lot of great thoughtful perks ie free bottled water, a few snacks & drinks in your room as well as in the reception area,it even have ramen noodle one evening! Breakfast is great too, a little bit of both western & Asian options. Theres also laundry facility available for free which is quite handy. Another great service is the option to book a tour package or ride to/from airport or to the cruise ship port at a reasonable price. I would stay here again. Thanks Dandy staff!

Hotel is nice but a bit dated. They were doing construction on the second floor when I was there so you will hear noise during the day. However, they stop working around 6pm. The rooms are small but has everything you need. Service is nice and they have a really nice breakfast spread. Overall good value with convenient location.

this hotel punched way above its weight. Me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were cozy and clean (and the windows opened for a fresh breeze on the second floor!) Loved the extra amenities including free skewers on the main floor for the new year - they put out hot brewed tea/coffee and snacks normally as well. The buffet was delicious and changed a little day to day, the coffee jelly is not to miss. We got a nice gift box of cookies on checkout due to the new year; there was also pachinko with prizes in the lobby! I think by virtue of being a smaller hotel chain, they care more about their individual customers. Theres a great mom and pop danbing breakfast place across the street (tip: grab a to-go menu and use translate because they don't speak english). Easy access to the red line as well as the subway is right there across the small alley street. Had a great time!

Free laundry was very convenient for our longer stay, although the machines were a bit slow.
No facecloths provided, just hand towels and bath towels.
No heating in room, though this is probably only a problem in the few cold months. We managed (with the advice of the staff) by turning off the fan and reducing the amount of time the window was open.
The rooms and facilities were very clean and well-maintained.
Breakfast was great, with many western and eastern options.
Location is five-star. Right across the street from Da'an Park and close to many great small restaurants and shops.

This place had great staff. They were all friendly and welcoming every time we passed by the lobby. Most of them spoke Chinese and English so I didn't have to worry too much about my broken Chinese.

We had to break our trip up into 2 parts because we were spending a day in Taichung and they held our groceries for us until we got back.

The rooms were very nice and clean. The location is excellent. There's a great park across the street that we took our 2 year old daughter to every day. It's right next to the MRT station.

If I ever need to find a hotel in this area, I'll definitely be returning to Dandy Hotel!

The hotel is very nice and there were plenty of friendly staff and amenities.

Can’t beat the location, excellent with a 7-11 right next to it and a MRT station. Though this one doesn’t have any escalators. Although the next one with an escalator is just down the street.

For the room though, we had some weird configurations where there is plenty of chrome on the ceiling of the bathroom. Which means that you can actually look into the bathroom while someone is using it. The walls are also really paper thin.

Anyway, the next time I’m in Taiwan, I am definitely staying here again

I stayed here for a little over a week when I visited Taipei. Very kind and attentive staff. A large assortment of food available for breakfast. The room I had overlooked Da’an Forest Park, which was a pleasant way to wake up every morning. Room came stocked with water bottles, juice boxes, and a few snacks, and these were restocked each day. I didn’t use the laundry facilities, but they’re available on site.

The location is about ideal. The hotel is right on the red MRT (metro) line, a few stops away from Taipei Main Station (and, in the opposite direction, Taipei 101). It’s only a stop or two away from transfers to other MRT lines. The neighborhood is very safe at all times of day (which is true of every part of Taipei I visited, actually).

Dandy gives the best of both worlds: it’s right in the middle of a happening metropolis, but also right across the street from a peaceful city park, one of the most beautiful I’ve ever been to in a large city. I walked through the park almost every day, either in the morning or after dark, and there were always people walking or jogging, kids playing, teenagers goofing off — a very family-friendly environment, in other words.

I enjoyed my time in Taiwan so much that I’m already considering a return visit. If I do make it back, I will definitely be staying at Dandy’s Da’an Park location again. Thank you!

When I visited the lobby area was a bit of a mess because of construction going on. I was a little concerned because the lobby felt more like a youth hostel entrance than what I was expecting based on the price. However, the room was excellent, the front staff friendly, helpful and capable in English, and the included breakfast was way beyond my expectations. When at home, I often eat only one meal per day. If staying in this hotel for an extended period, I could easily have done that with the breakfast buffet. It is far nicer than the typical complimentary breakfast from a mid-tier tourist/leisure hotel.

The location, two minutes from a great stroll in Daan Park and the nearby Juanquo flower market is great.
