- The shower switch has hot/cold opposite. Takes a long time for the hot/cold water to stabilize.
- Breakfast has a lot of choices, unfortunately, it is not delicate enough (similar to a local street buffet for a low budget type). The buns are not soft but taste stale.
- The sauna/hot-spring room has very few people (no one there when I came in). The temperature is too hot (set in an extreme hot temperature that is hard for children and skinny people to step in).
- Overall, not qualified for a 4-star hotel.

Exceeded expectations

The Fullon turned out to be perfect for a week-long work trip. I was very comfortable, and things mostly worked well. The room was fairly spacious, which I appreciated. It was a quick taxi ride to National Taiwan University, and centrally located for exploring the Da'an and Xinyi districts. The 7-11 right next door added to its convenience, and there are also restaurants within walking distance. The staff was always helpful and kind. I think the Fullon was a good value for its quality, and I'd stay here again.

Can’t beat the size of the room 400sqft + of room space. Also loved the hot spring pool. The hotel is getting old and it shows at many parts of the hotel. Will stay here again for sheer size of the standard rooms.

This property is so overrated. It is beyond outdated and worn. The carpet was caked and gross. There was blood stains on one of the pillows. The were hardly any outlets for charging devices. The only thing good are the staffs. They were very friendly and helpful.

I liked the hotel, our first room smelled like smoke, but the staff was super courteous and moved us to a different room that was as good or better. The WIFI is good and streaming was possible. All the rooms are carpeted, and I don't think I've ever seen such dirty carpet, I think they need to rent a carpet cleaner, or replace the carpet over time.

I stayed at Fullon Taipei Central Hotel for three nights. It was very disappointing. Do not be misled by the pictures. The hotel lobby is opulent but the hotel is old and the room has scratched furniture and very worn and stained carpet. Whenever the toilet is flushed, a strong sewage-like smell came up. Even worse, the room has mosquitoes. I had many bites, heard them, saw them and killed one (with blood). One afternoon, I returned to my room about 3:30 pm. It was a warm day (high of 85). The room temperature was 26.5 celcius (about 80 farenheit) and the AC can't be adjusted (set on auto). The hotel is conveniently located but to me cleanness and comfort are important. This is not a 4.5 star hotel as rated on Orbitz. In my opinion it's no more than a 3-star hotel.

The breakfast is the worst place of all. No smile, no greeting, no service! Not much choice of food and quality of food is poor as well. When we asked for hot fry eggs, the eggs were fried and put aside and became cold until we asked the Chef.
At last we got the hot eggs in the last morning.
The best staff is the bell boy at the main door who is the only helpful staff with pleasant smiles.

It was a smooth checking in upon hotel arrival I got a nice view in my room all the staff and managers of the hotel are courteous I would lile to commend them all, they also help us to get to taxi and ask the driver to drop of us in the airport overall my stay is very good and pleasant will definetely come back here. One more thing that I need to clarify because it was included in my room package that I can get a freedy phone during the entire stay but none in my room.

Location is okay. You need to walk 5-10 minutes to the nearest metro station. Also its right next to the sunday flower market (under the freeway). The room right next to the private restaurant on the 11 floor was very noisy. You can hear people singing karaoke. On the other side is much better. Room is very clean. Bathroom is nice too.

Had a good stay at the Fullong Taipei. Check-in was smooth and room comfortable. It does get quite bright in the room early in the morning because although the curtains in the room do a good job at blocking the light, those in the bathroom don't, and the room and bathroom are only separated by a (tinted) glass door.
Somehow I couldn't connect to the wi-fi.
Appreciated the 12:00 check out which allowed for a swim in the pool in the morning.

Good location close to subway and the Jiangou holiday flower and jade markets. These were a lot of fun. The best feature was the pool. 1.2m deep so you can do flip turns. However, dead bug in men's steam room, and baby lizard in change area!

Gym hours mean I won't come back

As a business traveler who works out every day, the fact that they don't open the gym before 7:00 AM takes it off my list for future stays. That is unfortunate because the location is GREAT! Kitchen staff even prepared me some custom dishes that I requested for breakfast. The carpet in the room was also a bit dirty and the internet connection was a bit intermittent, but overall, the stay was really okay if not for the poor gym hours.

Nice hotel with amazing staff

I specifically selected this hotel for the swimming pool. There were other Hotel options in the vacinity with vacancies for around $100 less. Expedia had this show up in my filtered results with only a few others in the area that had a pool. This was the sole reason I selected this hotel instead of others for the first day of my vacation in Taipei. When we arrived we were very disappointed to learn that the pool was only available seasonally and wouldn't open until May (we stayed here in April) the hotel manager came and spoke with me personally. He upgraded my room and sent some drinks and a fruit basket. While I would have much preferred to have the pool that was expected, I'm very satisfied with the staff and the way they handled this. Very kind people. Expedia on the other hand is terrible for this and lately every hotel I book through them has a similar problem. I blame them solely for listing the hotel with a pool and I'll likely stop booking through them.

Very good hotel in residential area, crappy gym

The hotel is located near to Da'an Park, one of the biggest parks in Taipei, and generally in a residential area. No restaurants or bars in immediate proximity but a 7/11 right next to it.
On a road where you can always get a taxi easily.
Check-in was fast and easy. Reception staff are not all fluent in English, but they always get someone quickly who speaks decent English. They help in writing names of venues in Chinese letters if you want to go to a specific place like temples.
The pool is nice, but an outdoor pool, so from October on it might get chilly. Sauna and steam room are just okay. The gym has five cardio machines of which all are cheap and not working properly. No other machines and a bit of free weights. In comparison with all the other great amenities, this gym is crap.
Breakfast is quite Asian and not international (okay, you can get eggs any style and the soggiest bacon ever)but good quality and medium size selection. If you compare to 4 and 4.5 star in other Asian countries like Thailand, it is not great.
Rooms are clean with good space and the bathrooms are nice. Vanity area for one business traveler is fine, if my wife would have joined me it would have been too small.

Centrally located near Daan Park, Fullon staff was thoughtful and welcoming. Room amenities were a nice surprise--fresh fruit, English newspaper, note from manager for holiday. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Spa is great with limited, but high quality services. Try the hot springs bath!
Weak point was the food. Breakfast is served in a tacky, over-accessorized room. The large buffet appears impressive, but you'll quickly see that the foods offered are worthless. Rock hard, pre-made breads are inedible. Cereal containers are empty. The hot items are actually cold, as the chaffing dishes are not turned on. 5 potato dishes, 2 grain-porridge offerings and noodles bulk up the buffet cheaply. A pile of over cooked fried eggs has turned cold while three cooks are on display doing prep for the next meal but nothing useful for this breakfast. Lobby bar is so dreary and unappealing that I didn't even use my \"free drink\" coupon.

Nice place...

Overall, a nice hotel, but for some reason housekeeping seemed to be skimpy on providing new shampoo and soap in the room. I think it might be management's instruction to cut cost. It was so hot and humid, we took a cold shower at least twice a day and swam every day with our son, so we used up our allotment each day. We had to call them for these items. I also didn't get lotion, and noticed they had it, so I liberated one for my own use. ;-) The continental breakfast is so-so, we tried it once, and didn't go back.... they put out old fruits and veggies and it is obvious. Who wants that for breakfast?

We stay in this hotel on 8/7/16 in room #911; the carpet is dirty, the water won't drain in the sink and the toilet is clogged. We call for the service, they did come quickly, but the condition didn't improve a lot. The WIFI suppose included and there is no WIFI in the room. It make me mad the most is that I have been misguided by the Hotel.com for the reviews of this Hotel is 4-1/2 stars; actually, it is only 2-3 stars quality.

This hotel has large rooms with nice bathroom amenities. Good value for money. The staff is great helping with all our needs and requests. The spa was nice. However, it appears that the carpets in the rooms and common areas have NEVER been cleaned or replaced. It was scary the dirt and stains that were in our room. I had the staff move us to another room that had less stains and dirt. Furniture is also dented and damaged. Definitely needs a refurbishment.

The Fullon Hotel is a good place to stay in. The staff is friendly and offers good service (taxi, directions). The room was big and very pleasant. Not possible to use TV in English. Rooms are definitely not soundproof. As always, air conditioning is too cold even if set at max temp.
The breakfast presents two buffets (Japanese and Chinese), the western section is very basic though.
Room cleaning was not good at all. I had to complain as pillows/bed cover remain on the floor, cups/glasses weren't changed and freshly changed bed linen were dirty.
Hot spring, sauna, steam water, very basic gym, and outside swimming pool available and in good conditions.
The hotel location is good as it's walking distance from everywhere in Taipei.

A nice and quiet hotel in Taipei

I booked a deluxe room for a two nights stay and I was delighted to get an upgrade to executive room on the 5th floor. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but no much view from the window. In fact the window was facing another block of building which was about 30 meters away. At night, the curtain had to be drawn to maintain privacy. Check-in and check-out were hassle free. The room has a coffee-maker with ample supply of bottled water but the mini bar was a complete let down with only 2 cans of coke. Breakfast has enough varieties but no surprises. I had not used many of the facilities provided so I couldn't comment much about the quality of the service. I had used to the sauna though to ease away the days of walking around and sadly not many people utilized the facilities, in fact I was the only one to use it on my first night. The hot pool was nice with spring water but the not all jets were working.
A 7-11 convenient store was located next to the hotel and the nearest MRT station was a 10-12 minutes walk from the hotel. The MRT which has a water theme with music fountain on an hourly schedule could be one of the most beautiful MRT station I have seen.

Modern Hotel and Centrally Located

I booked a room with a king bed. The linens were high quality and the bed was a bit on the firm side. A lot of nice modern design touches in the bedroom and in the bathroom that had a large shower and big tub. Amenities like shampoo and soap were L'Occitane French brand.

We had the brunch buffet which was very reasonable based on the variety of food offered e.g., Chinese, Japanese and American. Everything tasted very fresh like the steam buns and fruit.

For instance, I expected the outdoor pool to be in a more private location, not right on top of the entrance for everyone to see! Also, baggage storage was right by the front window, which is unsightly. These small details made the stay less than ideal, considering the price of the room.

Nice Hotel for a good price

I like the hotel. One of the better hotels in Taipei for the price charged and even nice for hotels that cost way more. Totally nice. Good Price.. I have to travel here a lot and i found this to be in a good location. Walking distance (couple blocks) from shops and easy taxi ride to Taipei 101. Also Taxi are cheap in Taipei so that always works. Hotel Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast good. There is also a market across the street that sells Garden Stuff and a Jade Market. It is cool to check out on the weekends! so many shops so close to hotel. I would recommend. Hotel room was a little dusty but nothing crazy. I would like more outlets near bed but that it soooo minor..

Fullon Hotel passes with flying colours

After a 14 hr flight and arriving at 8am, I was disappointed to find their checkin is 3pm. That's way too late, especially for foreign businessmen. However, they checked me in at 10am and I appreciated that so much. Hotel rooms were stunning. Nice bathroom with rain shower head and jacuzzi , bedroom with big screen and small living room with city panorama views. All you can eat breakfast for about 14CAD. Amazing food !!! Very friendly staff!! Hotel location is excellent and 5 minutes to Center of Taipei. Not much in the neighbourhood around the hotel, but you could again be dtn in 5 minutes so no problems. I'll definitely stay there again!!

Small supermarket store is next to the hotel and it's open 24/7 which makes you life very easy if you forgot something to buy during the day. In general, the area is very quiet and I felt safe for all the time. The room was really big, with very good size bathroom (separate shower and bathtub). What I didn't like was the pillow covers (they had holes which I think in this kind of hotel is not acceptable). Their staff doesn't speak good English, so you could have difficulties to communicate.

Nice people, clean rooms, comfy.

Great hotel, all good with nice pool and thermal hot tub. My only issue was that the Wi-Fi in the room was very poor. No excuse for that!

Nice place with everything you need inside urban area

It is not easy to find a hotel with sauna, steam bath and outdoor pool near metro station. This hotel has everything we needed which is within 15 min walk from metro station. We were surprised that it has self laundry machines which were useful for us. Getting there by taxi is also easy and affordable. The breakfast was OK but not as good as the 5 stars level we expected.

Comfy room and bed

Lady at the front desk tried but didn't understand English. We asked if the 2 bottles of water in the room was complementary. The lady ended up deliverying 2 more bottles to the room. My husband asked for a 2nd key. She got all confused if he already checked in or he was a visitor.

Reasonably priced, comfortable gem

Wonderful little gem of a hotel. Very comfortable room. Good firm beds and nice duvets. The bathroom is beautiful. Wifi is fast (for once!). Breakfast is superb with a selection of Western and Asian foods and also reasonably priced. Best part is that they have a hot spring spa in their hotel. It's small but the water is great. Real hot spring water from Tamsui -really relaxes you before bed time.
The only negative is the location. It's a 10 minute walk from the MRT (and I walk fast)

nice stay in a nice city

good stay, nice people, very nice rooms, but breakfastroom and breakfast presentation was really poor. breakfast is my most important meal a day and to sit in a dark room without window is not motivatin for the day.

Great easy stay

All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great for buses to central station, Memorial and 101 building.
Do not miss the woderful dimsum restaurant downstairs.
