I loved my stay at Eslite during a trip to be with my son and daughter. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and it had an excellent free minibar that was restocked on a daily basis. The area is convenient (walking distance to two MRT stops) and there were many good dining choices nearby. I would definitely stay here again:

However, I realized that the Breakfast was downgraded compared to my last stay with limited choices. Also I never received upgrades or VIP access from my last several stays including this time. It was our first time staying at Eslite Hotel. We love the clean line design. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the room which was clean, spacious, and had lots of shelving for storage. I highly recommend Eslite hotel to travelers who seek to have calm cultural mind in the center of Taipei. The books in the lounge and room bring new encounters. The bird sound from the garden in the morning is so beautiful from the balcony. The creative facilities around the hotel area never make visitors get bored. At the same time, 101 and other gigantic shopping buildings are in walking distance. I would like to return to Eslite hotel again to calm down and be open minded.

We booked twin room, but it was extremely small — there was barely any space to open two suitcases, let alone move around comfortably. The bathroom counter was tiny and not practical for two people. While there was a large bathtub, it felt like a waste of space for travelers who spend most of the day out exploring and don’t have time to soak in a tub.
What was most frustrating is that there was only one power outlet next to one bed. In this day and age, especially in a twin room meant for two people, this is a major oversight. It caused a lot of inconvenience!
Also, we were surprised that for a hotel at this price point, basic toiletries were only provided upon request. That really did not feel premium at all.
For the price we paid, it felt very overpriced — especially by Taiwan standards. Overall, we found it disappointing and not worth the cost.

The back entrance opens up to a serene view of Taipei 101 framed by lush greenery—very modern yet calming.

Attached to the hotel is the Eslite spectrum with its 24 hr bookstore. This was especially helpful while overcoming jetlag.
The only downside is the nearest metro station is located next to the Taipei Dome which is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel entrance. The nearest uBike rental is also about a 10 minute walk away.
