Very basic no frills. I originally booked the standard room but found that windows there actually faced another building wall and very claustrophobic.
I upgraded my room and paid extra to the street facing side room with view of Taipei 101. Provided with two pillows only for a superior room with queen size bed.
Room was made up daily as expected.

The room was worn and beat up looking. The outside window facing a wall was super dirty. The bathroom had tiles and plumbing that needed updating. There was no hand soap, so you had to reach into the shower for body soap after you used the restroom. I asked for soap, and was told they can’t supply it via Taiwan rules, however another hotel I stayed at supplied it.
On the plus side, the hotel was pretty close to a good night market and good restaurants. The subway was also pretty close. The room was pretty clean and the beds were fine. You got bottled water every day and the housekeeping cleaned every day.

Staff is friendly and effective. But the room is pretty old. There's a smell of smoke in the bathroom. The queen bed consists of two twin beds, which are easy to fall apart. There is only one outlet in the room, and that's not even by the bed.

Perfect for a solo traveler and thought the room was amazing, comfortable, and in a convenient location. It’s a less than 10 min walk from the station (green line) you’ll catch a couple convenience stores and a handful of food options walking to the property.
Highly recommend if you want to explore Taipei 101 area , as it is very close and a more affordable option.

The Guide is very conveniently located: walking distance to the MRT, the Xinyi district some interesting bars, restaurants and banks! The staff ladies at the front desk are extremely helpful (the dude not as much).
This is a basic hotel: you get a furnished bedroom, small complete bathroom, a TV, yea kettle and nothing else. There is no dinner, this no breakfast or room service. You don’t even get an outside telephone line. So, if all you need is a place to rest your head at the end of the day, The Guide is a good choice. Otherwise, keep searching….

It was very convenient location for getting around. We were nearby Taipei 101, lots of food options in the area, 7/11 was also nearby. The hotel building and rooms seemed worn out since this was an older buidling. The room was a bit dark and the bathroom didn't look as clean. Friendly staff that spoke English.

This place has really gone downhill facilities-wise since staying here ~5 years ago. It is grimy through and through. Towels and threadbare, and they don't refill toilet paper. I think this has to do with a lack of staff and probably COVID, rather than staff not doing a good job. All the staff that I interacted with were great, including the maid service. But there seems to simply not be enough employees working there to keep it up.

On the plus side, the breakfast is good (they got a new coffee machine that is solid, when the past it used to be an instant coffee deal) and the location is incredibly convenient. Pros and cons. But I won't be staying here again in the future.

Our first day we opted out of getting our room cleaned. The second day we requested a room cleaning in the afternoon. We did not return to our room till past midnight and we were shocked to smell cigarette smoke in our room. It was strong and did not dissipate. We checked a comparison with the hallway and there was no smoke scent outside our room. My partner had allergies throughout the night which he hadn’t the past 2 nights. We shared this with the front desk the next morning and the staff member laughed and apologized. On another note the rest of the hotel was clean and the breakfast options were plentiful.

Very unappetizing and miserly breakfast buffet spread. Room was old with paint peeled walls and bathtub was a bit rusty. Gym and laundry room had a mustiness about it. Bed was quite comfortable though. 5 min walk to train station. Will not book this hotel for future trip.

Best value traveller hotel in town

A comfortable three night stay in a no frills hotel ( no unnecessary mini bar stock etc) but with all necessities ( bottled water, beverages, good WiFi etc) for a comfortable stay provided. Bathroom was spotless and unexpectedly spacious ; bed comfortable, room clean and odourless. Overall very good value for the money. Only drawback: about 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station

Good hotel close to Raohe Night Market

Our room was relatively spacious, there was a small table, a sofa and the bathroom also has ample space. Location is good and is very close to the Nanjing Sanmin station but still not as convenient as Wanhua or Ximen area.

The best part though is its proximity to Raohe night market and the dumpling shop beside the hotel also had some really good food. The main Chia Te bakery is also just a few minutes walk from the hotel, and so is the Living Mall and Sun Yat Sen memorial.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here!

It was a very pleasant place to stay as the room was nice and clean. The view is great at night from the patio roof garden. The gym is small but functional though could be a bit cleaner. The restaurant is a bit pricey considering the area and the selection limited.

LeaLea is a chain of hotels in Taiwan, and they have good consistent service quality. The rooms are nicely appointed and are very clean and comfortable. Good size for Taipei standards. The Reception staff are most helpful and speak simple English. The overall Hotel ambience is nice and very decent for a small hotel. We were very happy. Only downside is the general area, there's not much in terms of shopping or sighseeing. But there are a few cafes in the backstreets behind.

We had an amazing time at Lealea Garden Hotel. Hotel was clean and toiletries are provided everyday. The breakfast buffet was very basic serving continental and Asian foods. Location is near MRT and night market. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. It’s worth the price.

This is my second time staying with LeaLea and I still enjoyed it. The price is very reasonable, location is near city center/ Taipei 101. Walking distance to MRT. The room is comfortable and service is excellent. Convenient store is just nearby as well.

Only comment is on the shower. I personally prefer strong shower pressure. Other than that, everything else is good! :) Will come back again for sure.

The hotel staff is incredibly helpful and the room is very nice and spacious. Hotel is getting a bit tired and needs a refurbishment here and there. Also breakfast selection was a bit too extreme for a western preferences. Location of the hotel was superb- very close to major shopping, a subway station and a major train station. Complimentary bottled water is provided and free laundry service (and a washing powder!) and gym is also available. For the price, recommended.

arrived at 1:30pm, the reception said cannot give me a room since the check in time is at 4pm, that is the rules! very unflexible.
since it was on my bday on the day of the check in, and asked if there could be an upgrade. the staff said no immediately then bluntly said \"I will see if there are other rooms available for you once it is time to check in\" , so I left my luggage at the front, she wrote me a tag that says \"room 801\" on it. when it was 4pm, I came back to the hotel, the receptionist just gave me the room 801 key, so nothing was done. happy birthday to me! I felt soooo special! thanks!

the actual room was ok. not too big nor small (compared to fx hotel I stayed at last june which was spacious),
the bathroom was big. there's a two in one (shampoo and body wash) and no conditioner.
the bed was too soft, some extra blanket in the closet would had been nice coz it doesn't have heating in the hotel so It got cold in the middle of the night.

the travel distance from mrt to hotel is 5 mins but the mrt station this hotel is at is not city at all. it is close to the concert hall but if you are there for a concert, I suggest taking the taxi and live somewhere that has more things to buy and eat.

This is a small business hotel in an average, accessible, neighborhood in Taipei. It is close to interesting places such as Taipei 101, Raohe Night Market, and Xinyi New Life Square (a series of shopping buildings, food courts, and restaurants).. Room size and amenities are fine. Some rooms are quite dark since there's inadequate lighting and when you open the window, you will only see the firewall next door. You cannot control the temperature inside your room that's why sometimes it was too cold and other time it was too warm. The quality and choices of food in the breakfast buffer is below average. That's why after the first day, we did not take the buffet breakfast again. There are a lot of small eateries and restaurants nearby that serve cheaper and better breakfast. Service in the reception is good but the servers in the breakfast room are quite rude. It is always better to book an international branded chain when it comes to 3-star budget hotels (such as Ibis, Park Inn Radisson, or Holiday Inn Express) because you will be assured of the quality of rooms and service. Unfortunately, Taipei only has local chain such as Lealea Garden which really did not meet the 3-star expectations.

Okay in my opinion

For the price i thought this was an okay place to stay in. Staff and hotel amenities were decent. Hotel was neat and clean however I thought it could have been cleaner (dusty). My biggest complaint is their policy on certain things. For example, they only give out one towel per person and if you need extra you'll need to ask everyday. And what upset me the most on my stay was that they can remotely change your thermostat. One night I woke up at 4AM in the morning to ask them to lower my room temperature. It seems that the increased my room temperature throughout the day and the middle of the night so the whole family woke up sweating.

The hotel was quite far from the nearest metro (sun yat sen memorial hall station) or even TRA station (Song Shan station). It would take an average of 20 minutes to walk to these stations.

Unfortunately, on the first night of our arrival, the air conditioning was very poor and so was the wifi. We informed the staff the very next morning and they got someone to look into our air conditioning. It was pretty warm those few nights. However, the good service in the hotel and clean rooms made up for it. You could even see Taipei 101 just at the door step of the hotel!

There are plenty of convenience stalls around and even a very huge shopping mall (Living Mall) opposite the hotel. It is also very easy to flag for a taxi outside the hotel.

staff was friendly if a little bit inexperienced. I was given a late checkout which was helpful though the key had to be reset because it was automatically disabled at the time of regular checkout of 12 o'clock.
Overall a very good hotel.The only drawback was the distance to MRT station, more or less fifteen minutes to SYT Mem..

New and Modern Hotel

This is a nice new and modern looking hotel. The lobby is refreshingly large and uncluttered, with a lot of enpty space. The staff on duty when I checked in wasn't as friendly as the reception staff at other hotels I had stayed in in the past (both more expensive and cheaper ones compared to LeaLea). The room was very clean and well designed. With the use of glass as separating wall, it made the room feel bigger and modern. The breakfast spread was sufficient. The neighbourhood is not near MRT or main shopping area although there is one shopping mall nearby. Many massage places near the hotel.

Nice staff, budget but nice hotel. Room design a bit weird with a glass enclosed bathroom (The fancy door slides, but doesn't seal shut.) It's a bit of a walk to the train station, but cabs are relatively cheap. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on! Great view of T101! Convenience store one block away.

I went there last week (6-10/8/2012), the room condition and the overall condition are not bad, absolutely good for travel. BUT, their cafe is totally rubbish, my package is included the breakfast. The location of the hotel is ok, just one block from a mall. We took free shuttle bus from the mall to subway station almost everyday. Our superior room was ok layout but very noisy, since it is located next to the elevators. As I could not slept for a couple of days, we requested to change our room. The staff were helpful and finally changed upper floor room the next day due to full occupancy. However, we think we will stay there if we could book a deluxe room and so.

quiet alternative

The hotel was very well decorated and the staffs are friendly and helpful. We have problems unlocking our luggage the first night and they offer to help right away. Beddings and towels were changed everyday. Breakfast was ok, pretty much the same thing every day. Room as super comfortable, and the tv has many channels to choose from.
A little further away from the core of Taipei, but transportation wasn't hard at all. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that could get you to the major hubs around the city. it's only a 10-15min walk to the nearest metro station (with airport shuttle). It was totally doable for us, even with our luggage.
All in all, It was a lovely stay. We would totally stay there again next time!

To be honest, I chose this hotel as it was very close to a friend I was visiting who lives in Taipei but was quite frankly stunned. Advertised as a 3 star hotel, it felt like a definite 4. Room was breathtaking and very refreshing, with a view of Taipei 101 building.

Comfortable hotel at a convenient location

Nice little hotel in the centre of Taipei with all the amenities for a good price. Very clean room with a comfortable bed plus free wifi access. During our stay we were able to take advantage of the free laundry facility available on the rooftop, and to our surprise also had a magnificent view over the skyline of Taipei.

For those who are intending to stay at the Richforest, my suggestion is to make the most of the free shuttle bus between Taipei City Hall MRT station and the Living Mall - This is the quickest way to get to the nearest MRT station.

Nice Hotel

The hotel service is very good. Room size is okay, after all it's in Taipei.

Cleanliness is so and so: bed and bathroom nice, but other details eg. under the window and under the sofa.

No MRT station near by. Old surroundings.

However, you can take a taxi to the nearest MRT station or Xin-Yi shopping area, and it won't cost over NT$100.

The hotel is generally nice. I got a very competitive price on Hotels.com, so what I got from the hotel is more than I expected.

Nicely-furnished hotel room.

Check-in time for this hotel was at 3pm, which I felt it was quite weird since most hotels are at 2pm. I stayed in the deluxe room. There is a transparent glass window that separates the bathroom and room, easily shield with the blinds. LCD TV, many TV channels of many languages. Good assortment of bath amenities. Bathtub with separate area for the overhead rainshower. Front desk staff was helpful. This hotel is not easy to find though... There isn't the hotel name in English stated on the signboard. So you have to REALLY locate it based on the unit number. There is a shopping centre nearby, which I did not visit. The MRT station is a distance away, nearest is either the Sun Yat Sen MRT Station or the Nanjing East MRT station, but please do take a cab to the hotel from these train stations. For the price that I have paid, it has certainly met my expectations, and exceeded it in fact! Breakfast was provided in my room package, but I skipped it for more snooze, so I can't comment on the breakfast. Overall, a good place to stay at for a night or two.

My family and I very upsetted and disappointed to stay at this hotel in our Tai Pei trip. I requested 3 persons when I booked it from you. I was forced to pay extra/more $2,000.00 Tai Wan currency for getting one single bed when we checked in at the hotel. The people of reception department of the hotel said that our order was one king size bed. The room was quite small which could not fit in 3 persons. I wondered your selling and arrangement at our business. I was clearly to mention we were 3 persons to live at the hotel room through our booking. But you sold 2 persons room to us. It was a bad impression to us. So that I decide to withdraw my membership from you.

A gem in Taipei

The Richforest Hotel was more than I expected at a respectable price. I was greeted with open arms as soon as I walked through the door. Check-in was a breeze and the front desk was very helpful and spoke good English. They even went out of their way to write down addresses for me in Mandarin for taxi drivers. Impeccable service! The room was very clean with a modern feel. Free breakfast in the morning with a variety of foods. Free laundry service and wifi. The location is a little off the beaten path but is in good proximity to everything. About 100NT to get around the city. It's about a 15 minute walk to the closest MRT, but an enjoyable walk. There is great 24hr coffee shop right across the street as well as convenience store. I enjoyed my stay and this will be my go-to hotel if I get a chance to visit Taipei again. I guess the only negative is that the cafe/bar closes fairly early. I will recommend this hotel to friends!

Richforest Hotel: NIce and quiet

Stayed one night on the strength of good reviews of the hotel. The room was fine and clean, a bit small with windows that face a back lane no more than 10 feet wide, so no view at all and totally dependent on artificial lighting. Breakfast at the hotel was pleasant at the back of the1st Floor. Overall, it was alright.

This hotel offer an affordable option to more expensive hotels in the center of taipei.
Located only few blocs away from 101 and xinyi it can be a great base to explore Taipei.

The rooms are clean, modern with nice bathroom with big window.
Not very large, but still ok

The service is ok, not best, but acceptable for this price. Staff speak ok English.
TV offer english channels.

Breakfast is served in a nice room and include both western and chinese options.

DO not miss the rooftop on the 9th floor with great view on 101.

The hotel offer free self service laundry and has a small Gym.

Warning: can be noisy if you have a china mainland tourist group on the same floor.
