Disappointing experience

Terrible experience. The front desk woman was abrasive and unhelpful. The place was as advertised, but still a let down compared to the pictures. However, it is close to a night market and within a 5-10 minute walk of two MRT stops.

The website photos show very nice and looks new, but when we arrived saw it so disproportionated, one of double two bed room the carpet was really really dirty and smells awful even wall paper and bathroom have mold, doesn’t worthy this price to stayed there, it was very bad experienced in all my trips, I hope they can improve it

Terrible receptionist service. Apparently the receptionist was the manager. If a person like her can be a manager, I am very skeptical about the top-down culture of this hotel. The hotel and tourism industry is obligated to give good travel experience to travellers. We are providing income revenue to the destination country and the entire eco-system that follows. Such bad service is zero-tolerance. Never book this hotel.

The staff was incredible and helpful and amazing.
However the property is extremely out dated and my room did not match the photos that were on the orbitz website.
The my room peronally smelled very bad. Staff was great and willing to help but I was not able to move rooms. Hallway on the 9th floor did smell of cigarettes.

Check in time far too late for arrival. Air con temperature fluctuations. When do not disturb lite was deliberately left on cleaning still took place. Staff was helpful when we departed the breakfast staff turned lights on for us to start breakfast. Canteen staff were also very polite and welcoming. Canteen music was a bit too loud we tried to speak up coz the music was drowning our morning family conversations.

Hotel close to Raohe night market.

The hotel is 3 mins walk from a night market so lots of choices for dinner. It's also close to MRT train station so convenient to get around.
The room was clean but a bit small. The hallway outside the room was run down and has a damp carpet smell, not pleasant.
We really enjoyed the breakfast as they provided a good range of delicious food.

Wouldn't Recommend this place.

Terrible Strong Cigarette smell in the Room and lobby. All the rooms including the lobby are on the same floor. So basically it is a 1 floor hotel in some random building. Worst part... front desk lady couldn't speak English. She didnt understand anything like call taxi or how much will it cost to go to the airport or what time is the check out. Super annoying. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Not a HOTEL for sure and it was a waste of my money.
Dirty, nothing is handy.
It looks like a swamp.

Nice boutique hotel with good breakfast

Wonderful choices of Taiwanese and western breakfast in the restaurant. Room was up graded with the window and full bath room. Recommend to the room without window if you are sensitive to the noise. Safe neighbors with nice night market.

Good, but beware if you need an early breakfast

Room was great, shower nice too. Only down-side was breakfast. Breakfast was from 7am. I went at 7:10am and it wasn't ready. Had to leave at 7:30am to catch a train and most of the hot food was still not out. Having breakfast was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, so it was a disappointment.

the room service was very good, our beds were made everyday. Towels, toiletries and even the bedroom slippers were replaced everyday. It is 5mins walk away from a night market, very convenient!

Comfy and nice hotel

I was initially skeptical about this hotel as it is housed on the 8th and 9th level of the building. Managed to find a cheap parking lot nearby and was pleasantly surprised that the room, toilet and furnishing were excellent quality.

Location is near Raohe night market so there's plenty of food options available.

I would recommend friends to stay at this hotel when they visit Taipei.

Visiting Taiwan in Songshan

Shin Shin is a nice hotel in a decent district of Taipei. I didn't have much time to tour the neighborhood but there's a night market right around the corner and they had some really great food vendors there. The hotel itself looked like it wasn't going to be very nice from the outside, but once you take the elevator to the 8th floor and walk into the reception it's a completely different experience. Overall, I liked the bedding, choice of tv channels and quiet environment of the hotel.

Rooms look different from pictures. Our room stinked (musty smell). When it was brought to their attention, they did nothing about it. The AC/heater was also broken. Bad experience overall would not recommend. I booked a hotel last minute and this was my basically one of my only options

Decent no frills stay

Decent for a night's stay. The hotel receptionist probably can improve by having staff that have more common sense. We arrived early and they said we could leave our luggage at the lobby and they would use a cloth to cover. However when we returned, there were no cloth covering our luggages. Thankfully nothing went missing.
When we checked out with all our luggages on hand, I requested the receptionist to help call for a taxi. When I told her it was to go to the airport, she said the taxi we called for was a regular one and would be based on meter. She could have had the initiative to ask if we were going to the airport, since common sense did not take place.
Don't expect much. Walkable distance to Raohe night market and close to Songshan airport. Recommend to stay elsewhere if you are spending more days in taipei.

這次是住806，一進房間，房間很熱，冷氣一開聲音超大聲，剛開始向櫃檯反應，先生有教我如何使用，結果想說外出買個東西，冷氣應該會涼一點，結果還是沒有，我繼續向櫃檯反應是否能換一間房間給我，這次是一個阿姨，她竟然說沒有房間了，雖然有給我一隻電扇，不過整晚房間又悶又濕，真的感覺很差。

位於小巷子內的老舊大樓8樓，但房間空間算大，挺乾靜舒適的，隔音效果不錯，沒有聽到隔璧的聲音，而且還有免治馬桶，小缺點是熱水溫度比較難調，總體而言cp值還算蠻高。

トイレと風呂がとても気になるが、それ以外は良好

ベッドメイキングはバッチリでした。

泊まった部屋のトイレにはウォシュレットがあったのですが、便座の暖め機能以外は稼働しておらず、トイレ自体も一度では流れきらないことがありました。

バスタブはカランとシャワーの切替ができるのですが、カランにしてもシャワー側に少し湯が行ってしまいました。

部屋自体はとても清潔で、観光夜市へのアクセスもしやすいです。細かい点をどうにかすれば、とても良いホテルといえます。

在巷弄中住家旅店混合區，地點接近觀光夜市，四週交通便利，房內設施基本上都有，窗戶隔音很好，但浴室內部淋浴空間的蓮蓬頭和蓮蓬頭座其實可以改善，這樣可方便淋浴使用。

A eviter si vous etes tatillons sur la propreté

Odeur de remonter d égout dans la salle de bain, odeur de moissier dans la chambre.( on a du acheté des désodorisant mais ça a empirer l odeur) Chambre pas nettoyer. Poussière partout ( surtout dans le placard). On a retrouvé des petites betes rampantes. Les boutons des toilettes japonaises ne fonctionnaient pas et debit d eau faible ( faut tirer la chasse 3 fois rien que pour un papier toilette). Literie avec des taches. Bouton de clim non reglable ( on a du la fermer sinon on allait mourir de froid)

Seul les lieux extérieurs qui sont pas loin rattrape un peu la note de l hotel ( taipei 101 30min a pied, marché de nuit 5min a pied)

旅館是在一家大樓裡的八樓，電梯有點舊會有卡卡聲，第一次搭會有點怕怕的，之後就習慣了，離遼寧夜市很近走路5-7分鐘就到了，離內湖花市，華山1914,松山文創都很近，開車很方便，開車的話對面剛好有和雲停車場可以停車方便，但停車費不便宜就是了，附近沒有路邊停車格，如果要過夜的話就要斟酌一下，雙人床算加大很好躺整體很乾淨，只是地面有小屑屑，人員也很親切

明明法規規定旅店全面禁煙，但內部都是煙味，未明確要求住宿者不可抽煙，免得會被罰款，大大影響住宿品質（吸食二手煙更可怕），蠻可惜的，要不然其他項目都還可以

4박5일 대만여행동안 사용한 숙소입니다.

*숙소가 깨끗한 편 : 대만은 기본적으로 습한 곳이라
생각하고 있었고 숙소 처음 들어갔을 때 생각보다
공기가 괜찮았음.
*무난한 내부 시설 : 건물 외형은 보면 허름한 느낌도 좀 있는데 내부로 들어가면 최신까지는 아니지만 깔끔함.
*주위가 유흥가가 없어 밤에 조용함
*송산역과 난징산민역 사이 중간 정도에 위치

*프론트 데스크 직원이 영어를 하는 분이어서
불편한 점은 없었음.
*아침 조식도 7시부터 먹을 수 있고 방키 들고가서
보여주면 됨(중국어로 방호실 이야기해도 된다고는
하던데). 흰 죽과 반찬류 4가지 정도 있고
식빵이나 커피, 그리고 간단한 과일도 있음.
단, 너무 늦게가면 양의 거의 적을 수 있음.

沒有大要求的可作考慮

好的地方：地點近捷運站，路程約8分鐘。很近夜市，路程約5分鐘。早餐尚算滿意，但需要早一點來吃。
不好的地方：冰箱內居然有喝過的飲品，使我在第一晚是不敢使用。地點在內街，所以較為僻靜，男士或情侶居住我覺得沒有大問題。女生不大建議前往
