The stay itself was decent, the bathroom however was not great. There were stains and streaks of mold. Worst of all, the shower door was not able to fully close, causing water to spray everywhere outside of the stall. This took away a star. Then there's the next part, which was how dishonest this hotel was. When I first booked the stay, I was told I have 24 hours to cancel and still be refunded the full amount. It just so happens that I had to cancel so I can add an additional day to my stay. Then for the next 5 days that I haven't received the refund, I thought it was just a processing delay from the hotel but then more than a week passed and I still haven't received it. So I called Expedia and turns out the hotel was withholding the refund from me for some unknown reason. After some investigation, it was confirmed that I did cancel the order well within the 24 hour period so a full refund was issued through Expedia. For a hotel to do this to their customers is just UNACCEPTABLE so for this, I took off two stars. If you're looking to book a stay at this hotel, do keep this in mind and don't just assume the refund will be processed automatically. Best to always contact Expedia as they will be the ones to back you on their promises.

Cleaning condition was not good and peeling from painting screeding near the window. Dust was found under the bed. No hand soap is provided. However, staff is helpful and friendly and stay patience as can see they are shortage in manpower. Also, there is smell inside the lifts even with air fresheners and guess smells are from lift pit …maybe underground water smell.

Great view for a reasonable price

The great thing about this hotel is the view, if you get the right type of room. My room was on the 15th floor with an all window wall with a view of Taipei 101, and it was a joy to stay there. The rooms are small, but neat. The breakfast is very good, and vegetarian friendly.

Small room but clean and nice. Breakfast included is a plus cuz you dont need to waste time finding breakfast nearby. Most hotels in this price range do not include breakfast so this is a plus.

Location is convenient, walking distance to 101 shopping mall, 8 minutes walk to MRT station (but actually half of the time is waiting for travel light to turn green at the crossing).

Staff is friendly and helpful. They have self-checkin & checkout machines for guest to use, but there's a staff around to help out if you have problems.

We booked a room with window. The room did come with a window but it was fully covered by a metal plate outside, so I feel scammed. I approach the front desk to ask for a room change, but he said the hotel is fully booked and that’s the only available room. We kept our blinds closed for our entire stay, as we do not want to stare at a the extremely uncleaned glass window and metal plate.

The hot water supply during shower fluctuates…. While you’re showering the water suddenly becomes cold for a few minutes and return to like warm, then cold again.. very unpleasant.

Cleanliness.. just say, I’m glad I brought my own towels :)

the room was fine, a bit dark and the light switches were quite complicated to figure out. Also, the shower door opens at such an odd angle that when you are getting out, you have to put yourself against the cold tile wall for a second to open it all the way. The staff though was the highlight of this place, very friendly and helpful.

Worst experience at a hotel

I arrived very early from a 13-hr long flight and asked the staff if she could find a room for me earlier. I was told that they would have to wait until the room was cleaned which was understandable. Then a few hours later the staff came and told me the room was ready but I had to pay an extra 500 NT an hour (for 4 hours) if I wanted to get the room which amounted to almost a one-day room rate. I thought it was a rip-off and so rejected the deal. Then at around 2 pm (after I'd been waiting for more than 6 hours) I asked again if they could accommodate my request. This time they said the room wasn't ready and I had to wait another hour.

I know there's a business policy that they have to follow but it's a service business and with a little compassion and common sense they could've made a guest feel so much better. I wouldn't mind paying extra if I thought it wasn't a rip-off. When they knew I wasn't paying and said the room wasn't ready even though it was ready a few hours earlier when they wanted to rip me off, I knew something wasn't right. I've been around the world and this is my worst experience at a hotel.

I never reallynleave review but I decided that to help my fellow people who is looking for a place to stay I think it’s good to leave a honest review without a bias and somehow can help others. The location is really good it’s walkable especially the Taipei 101 few blocks away. The place is not the same as what you see in the picture. The buffet breakfast pls stay away. They recycle the food and taste is so bad and they are frozen and reheated. Especially the bread hard as a rock and you have to put it in microwave to get it softer. The place is definitely dirty. I only wanted to stay here for a lay over and even for a short period of time this place is not a place you wanted to stay in my experience this is one of the worst. Even the receptionist area you can see how unorganized the place and messy . The receptionist can’t even find our booking and she’s going through each papers that place everywhere. And your luggage they can store in the corner where everyone eats if you have luggage to leave before you fly I don’t have any but since I saw where they place your luggage it’s near the kitchen. . I definitely do not recommend this place . I paid 100$US and still for few hours for a dirty place. If I am staying here for more than few hours I would definitely ask for refund. Again don’t waste your money in this place

The hotel is in a good location, only a 10 minute walk to the nearest MRT station and Taipei 101. Some rooms even have a view of Taipei 101, but it is also a quick ride down the elevator for a great unobstructed street view of 101. We stayed here for a week leading up to and a few days after New Year’s Eve to watch the fireworks.

The room itself is pretty small/cozy with two adults. There wasn’t much room for our luggage without creating a tripping hazard in the room. The heater wasn’t working during our entire stay, which was horrible. The room blasted AC all day and night, even when we turned off the thermostat. Our room got down to 14C (57F) one day! We complained to the front desk and they gave us a space heater, which slightly counteracted the AC but still wasn’t ideal. We also questioned the cleanliness of the room. The towels didn’t seem like they were changed out even when they were left on the floor, and the shower hose was so dirty that it turned an entire hand towel brown when we wiped it down. The tea and coffee wasn’t replenished consistently, nor were the coffee cups cleaned after use.

The free breakfast is decent, with mostly the same offerings every day: congee, sautéed vegetables, cold noodles, scrambled eggs, bacon/ham/sausage, and fruit.

If you’re just looking for a cheap place to sleep for a night, this isn’t the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’m not sure I’d stay here again though.

Great hotel at a great location. Only 1 block from the subway (metro MRT) station and two blocks from Taipei 101. Area is very safe, even for walking late in the evening. Room was much smaller than expected. After opening suitcase, there is little walk space. Just one foot of space for passageway. Have to be careful not to trip over my suitcase every time I go to the bathroom. Wonder how the room can even fit two people.

Bed was comfortable. Pillows are soft. This is a plus.

Room was not cleaned properly. I happened to notice several strands of hair on the floor while packing my stuff. After two days, the hair is still there despite daily housekeeping. On one of the days, the staff has changed the garbage bag but neglected to throw away the bag of rubbish. The same bag of rubbish was in my room for two days until I stuffed it back in the garbage bin again. Quality of housekeeping needs improvement.

Soundproofing was bad. I can hear my next door neighbour talking and the sounds of door slamming shut. Wooden floor creaks when I walk around in my room. My room was facing the main road so the sounds of traffic continue through the night.

Breakfast was dismal. Unappetising. Pretty much the same items every day. I skipped breakfast on most days.

Hotel is in a good location. 10 min from metro station and taipei 101. Hotel has no drive through at the lobby as the lobby is on the third floor. Hotel entrance is easy to miss as it's pretty small. Look out for the Meat Love Korean BBQ restaurant sign. Taxi cannot stop right outside the hotel as it is a busy road. Stopped a short distance away.

The location is good if you are attending a conference or business meeting. AT hotel is just in front of Taipei International Convention Center, very close to Taipei 101 and Metro station. You can move easily to different places just waking or taking the metro.
The room is really small, but acceptably clean, and you can have breakfast in the morning (buffet service) with eggs, bread coffee/tea and some typical food.
