I opted for this venue as it’s heavily marketed on many sites as a very popular gay adult apartment hotel. The term used is gay hotel Sevilla - the accommodation had more heterosexual couples and families than gay travellers.

It’s convienently located very central however it is in a very busy district so if you have a room window facing the street it will get very noisy. Rooms are decent sized, hot water can be temperamental but it eventually starts running hot if you leave the tap running.

There is a room top spa & naturist area however this is only in the white building (22) - the other half of the hotel is in the red building (19) which is on the opposite side 50metres down the street so access to the spa isn’t easily convenient if you are given a room in block 19.

Check out is 12pm on which is a positive however there was pressure to leave the room before 12 which was a bit disappointing. Staff: one was friendly the other seemed grumpy all the time. Big positive is that all access is by code includes the room too so no need to carry any hotel room cards

I liked the fact that it is located at a walkable distance from many attractions (15-20mins) but still far enough from the crowded areas. I liked that there were room service, a fridge, forks, bowls, wine glasses, etc.

Noise: it is next to a club that is only open on Thurs to Saturday nights. Luckily, we did not hear music all night. We hear some shouting at night on the streets. Inside, you might hear your neighbors checking in if they are loud but it wasn't a major issue.

Staff: they were very nice to us.

Price: there were majors events the week we were there so the booking price was high.

The stay at Apartamentos Doña Lola was absolutely perfect! It was a walking distance from many of Seville’s tourist attractions as well as local shops and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful regarding how to navigate the city!

Great location, really nice people, the room is nice and clean, the bathroom was clean (very important). The wifi is really bad, I could't work with my computer or watch Netflix beacuse it failed a lot; also the bathroom door is not opaque enough and that is unconfortable.

The hotel bedrooms are in an overflow building away from the breakfast area, away from the pool and terrace. This is not clear in the photos or description.

The front door of this property was always unlocked as it was broken. The front door is a very heavy metal and glass door which squeaks and groans when pushed open or closed and this will always wake you during the night. As the point of a hotel is to sleep this is something of a problem.

WiFi seemed to be turned off at night so if you can’t sleep or get woken and don’t want to pay for roaming you’ll be out of luck.

The floor of the bedroom was cheap vinyl.

Quite liked this place. It’s tucked away deep within the narrow streets of Sevilla. Got lost a few times trying to find my way back to it. The hotel is located in 2 separate buildings and reception is in one of them. Not too keen on the passcode system to enter the rooms, prefer a card, but would work for late check-ins I imagine. Daniel was very helpful. Loads of places to eat and drink nearby and very central for all of the sights.

AVOID! THE PICTURES ARE A LIE

Wow what an awful place to stay.
The pictures on the advertising are not how the property is now.

I wish i could post a video as there is no roof top solarium only crap everywhere. Roof top pool non existant.

Room was clean the rest a complete ... hole.

Staff have attitude and tried blaming hotel.com as they posted the incorrect photos on their website. I went on to the hotels site direct and it was the same pictures.

Reception said they couldn't deal with the complaint as we booked through hotels.com so i complained to hotels.com who contacted the property who told them that they have a strict refund policy that you cant be refunded unless you cancel 24 hours in advance! How were we to know that we were mis-sold the hotel in advance.

Room was clean but TV wasn't on the wall only holes. Toilet roll holders falling off the wall. Light hanging by bare cable.

No hot water we were told to keep the taps running. Following day looked behind the boiler to look for a switch only to find it unplugged. The only socket to plug it in was halfway across the room!!!!!! See pictures.

Hotel rates in Seville have gone up considerably in 2022 but overall this property was overpriced. Very little about this hotel was as advertised for us. We traveled with a newborn and we chose this place because it was marketed as an aparthotel. In fact, our room was in teh \"apartment\" side of the property. The listing for our unit included a \"griddle\" and \"coffee and tea in public areas\". None of that was there. When I mentioned this, the staff told me it was probably an error and to their credit, I saw how they changed their listing in Expedia. Our \"Deluxe Room\" was changed to a \"Comfort Triple Room\". Good for them, because there was nothing \"deluxe\" about our room, which was tiny, tight and half-baked. There even was a floor lamp by a corner that was disconnected because there wasn't a single outlet you could connect it too! It did look nice, though... when the sun was out and you didn't need to turn it on. The were no nightstand lights, so you either had to be in the dark or have the entire room lit up, not ideal with a newborn when you have to wake up every two hours to nurse. The bathroom had very awkward towel hangers and the shower was too cold or scalding hot, impossible to find the sweet spot. And then there was the internet... totally useless. I had to use up my cellphone's data package to use it as a hot spot because the WiFI was garbage. You could barely browse, let alone stream anything. This is a pimped up pension de toda la vida at boutique hotel rates.

I really enjoyed my stay in Seville. I will start with the negatives
1)would have been nice if kept the jacuzzi open longer during the year. 2) out shower didn’t drain well so leakied on the floor 3) slight smell in the room.
However these were minimal and plenty more positives.
Beautiful building, the bed was huge and comfy as was the sofa, kitchenette was adequate and the staff were extremely helpful and nice. The Dona Lola is situated in good place to access the sites. I would definitely stay here again!!!!

Lovely apartment, great location

Our stay here was amazing! The location is perfect: not in the heart, but just on the edge, and the street was quiet. We stayed in the studio apartment, and everything was as described. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace, which is lovely. The next time we’re in Seville, we will definitely stay here again.

The actual apartment itself was very nice and it was great to have two bathrooms for the 5 of us. I appreciated they were using the WhatsApp to communicate ahead of time and during as we were from the US. The location turned out not to be the most convenient for what we wanted to do. It was hard to tell what kind of neighborhood we were in as most things were closed.

Second stay here. Was told by the receptionist I couldn’t access my room to 2.30pm even though it says 2pm on my reservation email. Enjoyed the terrace - it’s seen better days but has clearly been refreshed since my last stay and the tub was a real luxury on a hot day. Sadly the aircon unit in my room (which didn’t have a front panel) leaked water onto the floor at such a rate that I had to put a bucket under it. I told reception immediately and the guy just said it always happens and he couldn’t do anything about it but would tell someone tomorrow. Given he didn’t take my room number or name (and hadn’t checked me in), I’m not sure how he would do that but suspect he just didn’t care. No offer to change rooms even though there were rooms available online. I had to empty the bucket in the middle of the night then the noise was so loud I had to just switch it off and try to sleep - not easy given the heat and sad state of the mattress. Best to go to one of the many other places nearby that offer better value for money and care if their guests are comfortable.

This was a perfect place to stay in Seville as the location is excellent. It is very close to the Plaza del Duque where there are shops, bars and restaurants and El Cortes Ingles and the number thirty two bus stops there which takes you to the Santa Justa station. The Plaza de las Armas bus station for the airport bus is about a five/ten minute walk. The historic centre it is also only a short ten minute walk via the main shopping street Calle Sierpes to get there and the Metropol Parasol is just up the road from the Plaza del Duque. I was pleased that I was staying in this area as it appeared more local than the historic centre which was more touristy. In addition, it was a few minutes away from the Alameda de Hercules, a large plaza with bars and restaurants again very local, on Friday evening you could see the locals out enjoying themselves. A friendly bike hire shop - Bici4theCity was also at the end of the plaza and the town hire bikes were also there but I believe these are for locals only.
All the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a studio room which is across the street from the main hotel. The room was well equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, hot plate and even an iron and ironing board, plus there was a sensible strong hairdryer in the bathroom. It was all very clean. On the roof of the building there is an area to sunbathe with sun loungers and a jacuzzi and for those people who want to go totally naked a separate section.

Very enjoyable Holiday.

The Dona Lola is very well situated in the city, not too far from the major tourist attractions and very close to one of the best squares in Seville for eating the 'Alameda de Hercules'.
The hotel is small, although the rooms are not huge they are big enough, clean and serviced daily.
The rooms are very well insulated for noise and not much light got through the curtains so we had a really good nights sleep.
The staff are very friendly and always had a smile when you asked them a question.
My only criticism would be that that they don't supply any kettles in the rooms, if you wanted coffee you had to go downstairs where there was a coffee machine and take it back to the room, they also supplied a microwave for heating things up again downstairs.
We also got 4 days for the price of one on the city bus tours, see Victor at the back gate to the Cathedral, look on line for 'Hearts of Seville', for free walking tours of the city given by students.
To sum up, a very enjoyable stay 4.9 out of 5 for me.

This place is perfect for me. Located on a quiet street. Rooms are very clean. Staff is accommodating. Interior is old Seville awesome. Only issues are no soaps and no coffee. So come prepared. This is no 5 star hotel but it is 5 star for the budget traveler looking for more than what you expect to get. Great find!

My Mum and I stayed for 5 nights in October 2017. The staff were very helpful and friendly, offering lots of suggestions and advice for things to see and do in the city. The location is great, a few minutes walk to Metropol Parasol and about 20 mins walk to the Cathedral. It's such an easy city to walk around and we had no problems getting everywhere we wanted to.
The room was clean and smart although lacked storage (no drawers in the room or cabinets in the bathroom but there is an open plan wardrobe). Air conditioning was good and the double glazing on the windows worked extremely well which was welcome because there were road works outside when we stayed.
If you need a cup of tea first thing in the morning (like us) best to take your own travel kettle. The hotel mentions breakfast for a supplement but, aside from a coffee pods machine in the communal area, we didn't see any on offer. That didn't matter though as there are so many cafes nearby to get breakfast.
I'd definitely recommend Dona Lola.

Cute apartments, but for two people, be sure to book a queen or king size bed. The room we got had a double which was way too tight and I had to sleep on the futon which wasnt particularly comfortable.
Excellent location -- near alameda de Hercules and plaza del duque.
Receptionist was super friendly and helpful.
We did not use the jacuzzi but it sounded great.

Stayed at Doña Lola for a recent business trip to Barcelona. The room and facilities were basic but exactly what was needed. Room was clean, quiet despite overlooking a popular street and had a microwave, hob/hotplate and fridge-freezer.

The staff were helpful and provided information about where to eat out in the local area.

Hotel room was very small barely room to move. There was poor lighting in bedroom area and they need to install overhead light or more lights. Had to go to bathroom to see or read. They wrote in description they had pool. It's across the street another building small jacuzzi- freezing cold water & dirt, mold across the top of it. Plus side good location, friendly staff, clean room, ready earlier than expected time. Appears modern decor/new.

We checked in on Sat. afternnon and they gave us our room. We booked this hotel because it said they had a swimming pool. With it being 100 + degrees we wanted a pool that we could come back to in the afternoons to cool off in while we were visitng Seville. The pool is not a pool, it's a jazucci with cold, dirty water. Then to make matters worse, our room's airconditioning did not work the first night. So they moved us from our 1 bedroom apartment, to a studio (very small, there our 3 of us) so that we could have airconditioning. I am very unhappy with this hotel and we still have two more nights here. I don't feel that we should have the pay the full amount since we booked a 1 bedroom apartment and are now crunch in a studio apartment with the 3 of us. The description of this property was very miis-leading. The only think I can give 5 stars is the WIFI, I booked through Hotels.com and I am very disappoinnted that they would even have a property of these standards on there site.

Budget hotel close to places of interest in the old town of Seville. Parking available, at an extra daily cost, was below ground of the studio apartment opposite. Parking must be reserved in advance. Difficult to find hotel in maze of narrow streets. Reception poor. Had to pay immediately on arrival. No reception after 9 pm so had code entry to main street door. No-one available overnight although an emergency contact telephone number was given, but we had no phone. We had to wait till reception man arrived around 9 am each day before we could go for breakfast. He had to manually write a small card for each room which we had to hand in to the staff at a bar about a three minute walk down the street. No food available in the hotel. Lift did not work with 4 adults plus bags so we either went separately or used the stairs. Room fairly clean, towels thin bit changed daily. Bedding changed daily but did not fit properly. Window overlooked high wall and not patio as advertised. En-suite was a decent size but the laminate flooring needed attention where water had leaked from the shower. Overall it was not a good experience for us seniors but guess we got what we paid for.

Rude staff, did not get what I paid for.

Booked a superior double room for 3 nights. On hotels.com webs. it says these have a balcony or terrace with a city view. I had also asked for a higher floor room, a small refrigerator in the room and a room with a bathtub. When I checked in I got a ground floor room with a tiny terrace with 4 floor high walls on each side, no city views whatsoever, a shower not a bathtub and no refrigerator (knew that one was a stretch). Talked to the receptionist, who spoke very little english, he seemed to understand the trouble but said that the hotel was full, everyone else was checked in and there was nothing he could do. Said that a room would become available the next day with city views and he would look into putting me in it. I got settled into my lame excuse of a room, which was far from superior in any way, went out to find dinner and on my way past reception the same receptionist asked me to wait a minute. He was serving another costumer for 10 minutes before he finally told me that the room that would become available the next day, also called a superior double in their own system (which he showed me on their computer screen), was more expensive than the room I got and therefore they would probably not be able to let me have it UNLESS I PAID MORE. He said that they would look into it the next day. The next day I was told that there had been made a booking during the night and I could not change rooms. I stayed in my terrible room for 3 nights. And jacuzzi is in another building.

This is a very nice boutique hotel. The young man at reception (Santos) went out of his way to make us welcome. Although we were early we received our room soon after arrival. He also provided us with lots of helpful tourist information about attractions. The hotel is well situated for sightseeing, eating , shopping etc. A number 32 bus takes you to the RENFE train station. There is a roof terrace with tables and chairs. Negatives - room was a little tired, for example sliding bathroom door, water temperature was only cool for showering. However I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable, good value stay.

The hotel receptionist was very friendly and helpful, he gave us a map and immediately pointed out the major things to see in the city. The room was big, I was with a group total of 5 and we were all accommodated in one room. It's located in downtown area, very close to everything, food/shops/cafes etc. BUT when we came back to the room (located on the 1st floor) from touring the city we found a roach roaming around the kitchen area.

Generally decent hotel. Problem is the toilet barrier is see through, which poses a rather awkward problem when travelling with friends. Also, the neighbourhood is loud at night, but I slept through it. The WiFi isn't great either. But it's cheap, great location, Comfortable.

staff friendly but not as attentive to resolve issues. Maid didn't come one day and the answer was she knocked on the door and there was no answer so she thought I was asleep. the terrace is pitch black at night tripped when coming out of elevator because I couldn't see. when I mentioned it to the front desk he said they would look into it, but was still pitch black when I left two days later. My previous review for a different hotel posted it on this one by mistake

Perfect location middle of old town

Good budget hotel perfect location can walk to everything plenty of restaurants. Staff helpful 1 bus from train or bus station then only a few blocks to hotel close bus stop for return. Only problem is it is impossible with the shower doors they have to take a shower without getting the floor all wet.

Not what I expected but okay

Overnight stay in central Seville. Excellent location within cafes, shopping centers and 10-minute walking distance to the Seville Main Bus Station at Plaza de Aramas through unique narrow lanes - very safe! Unfortunately, windowless room - for the cheapest room you cannot expext for more. The young parttime receptionist was very very helpful and friendly. He even offered to help me carry my luggage.

Location was good. Hotel staff very helpful. Even though English for one or two staff was poor they tried to communicate and understand my needs. George who could speak very good English was always pleasant and extremely helpful. The room was clean bedroom area small, bathroom suitable. My one complaint would be no window for fresh air. For me it was claustrophobic. Due to the heat it was necessary to run the aircon in order to feel comfortable.

Economical and close to the city center

I would recommend this hotel to people on a budget but who are tired of the typical +/-50 EUR experience of worn-out, dingy rooms-- this is clean and modern, with a simple but fun color-coding theme for the rooms.

A couple of things to note: it is partnered/run by another hotel just around the corner, the Casona San Andres, and check-in/check-out (and all other staff requests) must be done there. There is no reception or full-time staff in Dona Lola. Although indicated on the reservation I made, it does not seem that breakfast is offered. The only amenities the room has are well-functioning air conditioning (very important in Sevilla) and a hair dryer. As throughout Spain, electricity and water only work when there's a key card inserted in the reader, and this is not a hotel where staff leave an extra card in the slot for you. In other words, no power when you're away, meaning no charging of phones, etc.

During my stay, San Andres's staff were always polite but not particularly helpful-- I needed to wash my clothes while staying in Seville and, as self-service laundries are rare in Spain, I had to do some asking around to find one. Turns out that there is one right by the Casona San Andres, but desk staff there had no idea about it nor seemed interested in trying to help me find one.

Although the neighborhood at first seems a little grittier than the postcard image of Sevilla, none of that is very far. In fact, being right between the center and the Alameda de Hercules has its advantages-- the latter offers a lot of good day-to-day services and less expensive restaurants.

Hotel Dona Lola, Seville, Spain

After searching and searching for a decent, inexpensive, place to stay in Seville, I lucked upon the Hotel Dona Lola. Hotel is very clean and comfortably appointed. The check in process is a bit of a hassle (you need to check in with a near by hotel, Casona de San Andres) but once that is done everything else is a breeze. The staff at the Dona Lola were very helpful. Breakfast is no great shakes, but considering most hotels in Spain provide no meals, a cup of coffee in the morning was a welcome sight. I would highly recommend the Dona Lola, especially the Murado room. Despite the fact this room has no view, it is comfortable, sunny and very quiet!

Atendimento péssimo, nunca apareceu uma pessoa para nos dar assistência, quarto sem trava interna, térreo, de frente para uma boate, onde ficam pessoas bebadas gritando na janela a madrugada inteira. Viajei com meu filho e fiquei preocupada com a segurança dele, não recomendo esse hotel.

Avisé que había una cucaracha en la habitación y nadie se hizo cargo y tampoco fueron a retirarla. El wifi funcionaba muy mal. Había una luz que prendía y apagaba sola todo el tiempo. El mínimo ruido de otros huéspedes se escucha.

3 nuits chambre 001. Odeur d’égout prononcé dans la salle de bain. Pas de chaise. Aucun accessoire à part des cintres. Bruit de l’accueil et distributeur de boisson. Logement situé au 22 de la rue alors que la réservation etait au 19. Animation nocture dans la rue tres très bruyante du fait de la proximité d’une boite de nuit. Passez votre chemin.
