Our whole experience staying at this hotel was great, the reception staff, cleaners and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful. My husband and son ran the valència marathon, the staff were very helpful with directions, food places,etc and once we arrived back from the marathon, they got a really lovely welcome

This hotel was a modern, echo friendly meeting with nice breakfast, and restaurant and bar. Rooms were clean and the service was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to variety of dining, shops, attractions, etc. very nice hotel, period. One item that needs change is the automatic light for the bathroom. If you go to bathroom in the middle of the night, the light would come on automatically and stay on for 5 min to shut off, waking your partner up, most possibly!!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is in a very good location close to shops restaurants and sights. It has a nice terrace for drinks. Check in was easy, they have luggage storage and will offer to sort you taxis. The room was nice and had a nice view the only downside to it was the beds they were not very comfy and very squeaky if you even rolled over. Did state a double bed but I got singles pushed together with separate sheets.

Well placed smart hotel

Well placed for visiting valencia friendly receptionist and well arranged room. Warm in hotel and room for us but luckily we could open the internal window a little for fresh air. Bed comfy but oddly the quilt didnt have a quilt cover and was simply between 2 bedsheets. Overall great for a weekend stay.

Front rooms too noisy

The hotel is very convenient for the train station and metro.Checkin was fine.
It has a lovely terrace outside the lounge/bar area. Our premium room was a good size, very clean and well appointed. But at the front of the hotel and very noisy, loud music in the evening and traffic for a lot of the night. We had asked for a room at the back but apparently they are all standard rooms and were not available. I would certainly not stay in a front room again..

The hotel was good it was clean and modern and well located for the historic centre. Staff were very helpful and recommended three good restaurants which we used and enjoyed. The terrace was a big bonus as we had no balcony but you could sit out in the sun. However the food in the restaurant was inedible the burger and chips were cold and the steak was raw.

We were given the wrong room on arrival, a small double bed instead of two singles which meant sleeping with my friend! There was not a great apology and we had to push for any compensation (free breakfast the next morning) we were then moved to a different room but they would not help with moving luggage, we had to take back down to reception, then pick up later that day and take to our new room. We then had a ceiling leak in the bathroom, the female receptionist then rudely kept saying we are full….not that we had even asked to move. This was fixed to then get a blocked sink. We had a very mixed reaction at reception, some staff were nice but one female receptionist was extremely rude. We have to say the bar man was fantastic, great service and couldn’t do enough for us. Mixed stay

Overpriced for what it offers

Checked in with not the friendliest of hosts. Very weird room layout. I walked in to find my \"bathroom sink\" immediately to my right. The toilet was behind 1 door & a shower was behind a door opposite that. The entrance, which housed the sink, wardrobe area, toilet & shower could be seperated from the bed by a thick curtain if you wanted privacy.
I had booked a double room, single use stay & requested a double bed as opposed to single beds. I got the 2 singles.
There was complimentary nespresso & there were 2 bottles of still water on the counter top. There were more items in the minibar & a price list that listed the still water. When booking, the website said \"free bottled water\" I asked at reception what the deal was & was told, no charge for the water left out of the fridge. No more water was left out during my 5 night stay & when i questioned this, i was told that you only get the water once per stay! I think this is very bad policy. The room was not cheap & its little things like this that would put me off returning/recommending. The toiletries were nice & slippers are provided. The bed i found comfortable but the countertops had ringstains on them & the floors were dirty when i arrived. The location is good, v central & 5min walk from Xátiva Metro which is a direct 25min line to airport. The main train station is closeby also if you want to do a daytrip to Madrid. You can get a bus to the beach from carrer de colon. Overall i think it was overpriced for its services

very nice modern hotel and right in the city centre, we walk everywhere and easy access to metro for the airport, very convenient, the terrace bar is nice for a few quiet drinks too when need to chill out

Convenient and good quality

Convenient Hotel in center of Valencia. The room is a bit small. Would prefer not to have a glass door to bathroom as the bright light comes through at night when someone uses it. A young woman at the front desk was so kind, friendly and helpful. She remembered and called us by name (with Mr./Mrs.) and made recommendations and then reservations for us for dinner. Her suggestions were excellent.

Does the job. Great location in town. Rooms are a little small but nothing you can't cope with. We didn't have any problem with the bathroom mentioned in other reviews. Gym is not a gym though - 10kg dumbbells and two bikes, that's it.

The air conditioner didn’t work in our room. The elevator was broken so we had to take our luggage down the stairs to the parking garage and one of our party was handicap. Someone had dinner and try to bill it to my room. There were only one set of towels to use. I could go on and on !

Room was small but very functional and laid out well, we had no view, which made the room nice and quite and didn't bother us as we were only in the room for sleeping. Staff were very friendly and assisted us if we needed anything. Hotel is very central to explore the town. Bar facilities and terrace looked good.

SH Colon is a modern, convenient hotel located in Valencia’s city centre. It’s in the main shopping area and close to the historic old town. This made it easy to get around, and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

I booked a standard double room and it was clean and comfortable. Unlike usual hotel rooms though, this room didn’t have a separate private bathroom. Instead, there was a toilet room, a shower that led straight out to the bedroom, and a separate sink and vanity area. This wasn’t an issue for us since we’re a couple but could be awkward for other people staying together. I would’ve preferred a separate bathroom—which you can probably get with a premium room.

There was no natural light in the room because the window looked into the hotel, but it wasn’t a big issue.

I liked that they provided many different toiletry items and a hairdryer. Housekeeping was great every day. AC made the room comfortable. Overall it was a great stay and I’d choose this hotel again.

We arrived on May 4 we arrived around 1 pm one of the lady at the reception was very rude but not Celia who was very nice. The rude one has long auburn hair she told that everything I request when I reserved the room was not possible. When it was time to pay my husband pay with a credit card,twice the paiement did not go trough because she retrieved the card to fast my hus!band had to tell her not to go so fast and it works she was upset. When we arrived in our room we were surprised because we had everything we ask for, far from elevator and not facing the busy street. When we went out she was at the reception we told her that the room was perfect we had everything we asked for!! Please put her in a close office where she belong

Great location - small room

Good location-very close to the Old City, shopping and the Metro to the aiprort. Nice breakfast and friendly waiting staff.

The bedroom was quite small and disappointing for a so called \"premium room\", suitbale for single occupancy but not as a double. Hotel lobby is also small with space only for the desk and a couch.
