Ryan Hotel is a very nice old west hotel. However, it doesn’t TV, although it does have good internet. Also, some rooms are not air conditioned, but that may or may not be a problem, depending on the weather. The hotel is right in town and very convenient to restaurants, shops and tours.

This is a heritage hotel thus one shouldn’t expect every “modern” convenience. That said this hotel is very comfortable, very clean, the hot water is very hot and the cold is cold. We stayed a Monday and Tuesday night and had a room facing the Main Street. We had the windows open and were not troubled by any street noise. The owner Donna is a lovely, calm soul and willing to help in any way she can. The wifi was fast and reliable and the coffee and the light breakfast available in the morning was a nice start to the day. I would definitely stay at the Ryan again!

I consider myself very fortunate to have spent an evening at the Ryan Hotel. They provided me with everything I needed to know upon my arrival and my room was very comfortable (it did include a bathroom). To be honest, I feel they should be writing a review about me, and not the other way around, since I failed to abide by one of the instructions in the bathroom about not twisting the shower knob too hard! I felt bad about that, but they did not hold it against me. The area around the hotel is very walkable, and you can easily park on the street. I had a microwave in my room that I used to make oatmeal in the morning. They did a good job of communicating when I needed to arrive, and so that did not become an issue.

Buyer beware: I would love to give this hotel a great review because the staff was so kind and happy. And if you want \"historic\" and \"old fashioned\" I guess you might like it. But the only reason we stayed here is because it received high ratings which, in my mind, are unjustified. No A/C (it was a minimum of 80 degrees in the room and no way to bring in a breeze--- the window literally opened up to a brick wall 3 feet away), no elevator (you ring the bell and staff runs down stairs just to let you in), sketchy WiFi, \"breakfast\" of a few granola bars and a banana or apple, and generally run down. To top it off our rate was $180 which I would have never paid had I seen the property ahead of time.

I was upset that there wasn't an elevator and the hotel was a flight and 1/2 up the stairs. The wi-fi was sketchy at best. There was a small fan, no TV, and the shower was tiny. The breakfast was coffee, juice and nutri-grain bars!!

We loved the night we stayed at the Ryan Hotel in Wallace. A short time after three we rang the bell and the owner walked down to let us in. She lives on site and seems very nice. The hotel itself is across the street from the Oasis Bordello Museum and located a short walk to everything in downtown Wallace. Unless you're leaving town, everything is walking distance from the hotel (restaurants, museums, the train station, mine tour, bike rentals). Our room didn't have a TV or phone but I think that adds to the charm of the place!

The property (as well as others in town) represents a turn of the century theme (claw-foot tub instead of shower, etc.) and the amenities reflect that. As long as you know and understand that everything is OK. Understand that, there is no TV, air conditioning, etc. During our stay (June) an open window sufficed and air-conditioning was not needed, however.

The Ryan hotel is quaint with simply appointed rooms. Ours had a claw foot tub. The room was spacious and had a dresser, mini-fridge, desk and chair. In the mornings they have coffee and assorted bars and fruit. The bags of grapes were a nice and appreciated touch.

However, I didn’t realize the rooms don’t have A/C, which means cracking the window and letting the street sounds from the nearby highway come in all night, which isn’t great when you’re traveling with little ones.
