For what we paid, been to many hotels in the San Jose gam area and this hotel was the most expensive so far, when we arrived the reception said they just finished preparing the room for us, there was 1 towel we were 4, the pillows were terrible. there was no soap in the shower. The hotel is in a good location for downtown accessibility. It is a 45 min walk or a 13 min Uber ride. The rooms are basic and clean. We had to be moved twice due to lack of hot water the in first room and the shower flooding the room the second room. The third room was good. The hotel staff that we connected with on these issues were very sympathetic and accommodating to get things right for us. The breakfast was good with 4 hot table options, an omelette and waffle table, fresh fruit and juices, cereal and yogurt and of course great coffee. The lounge bar was comfortable and a nice place to meet fellow travellers. The pool area is shared with the adjacent hotel property but the gym is in Palma Real property. The best part of Palma are the 2 concierges that we met and helped us navigate the highlights of San Jose and the surrounding area tours. They rate 6 stars.

Do not trust this hotel , i pay Expedia for this reservation and the hotel charged my wife for a new reservation, they ask my wife for a credit card for any additional charges and they just make a new reservation, Expedia need to stop using this hotel or solved this matter or i won't uses Expedia again

Staff was excelent! The only problem i had is that the A/C is not strong enough and can get a little hot. I was down at 2 am since i couldnt sleep and they gave me an electric fan and upgraded me to a suite that could regulate the temperature at will, still the A/C was a little lacking but it was enough for me to get comfortable.

Very friendly reception and helpful staff. You can see that cleanliness is a top priority. The food was very good as well. They offer a secure, enclosed parking area that is monitored by cameras next to the hotel.

Great property close to the Estacio National. Checkin is at 3pm but does have a luggage hold. Walking distance to the stadium with lots of dining options in the area. Walkable part. The staff was wonderful and the hotel super comfortable and very clean but Hotels . Com led me there when I specifically asked for the above requirement s, I found out too late when I was left at the airport waiting for a shuttle, next time I’ll book directly with the hotels myself, no 3rd parties 😡

Hotel is well located - it only took 20 minutes to walk to the city centre and is right next to La Sabana Park. The staff were nice and helpful, the room was clean and had most of the essentials (there was no safe), and breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again if in San José.

Estuve aquí dos noches y realmente JAMÁS volvería. La primera noche fue muy mala, me dieron una habitación con vista a la calle y el ruido era increíble; la gente fuera del casino no dejaba dormir. Las camas sumamente pequeñas (casi que para niños), y la habitación completamente falta de mantenimiento; el televisor no funcionaba y el teléfono tampoco. No había bata de baño, kit dental ni pantuflas, al preguntar en recepción indican que no cuentan con nada de eso. Ni siquiera una botella de agua de cortesía. El room service cobra $3 por llevarte cualquier cosa.Los pasillos huelen a humedad/moho, los cielos de las habitaciones tienen manchas de humedad.
El desayuno es EL PEOR de todos los hoteles en los cuales he estado. Variedad muy limitada (a lo mucho 4 opciones). Al preguntar por otras opciones, mandan a la cocinera a hacer un omelette, que sólo tenía cebolla cruda, jamón (que realmente era mortadela barata) y queso blanco. Además la señora muy grosera y enojada por tener que atenderme. Lo mismo con la mesera del desayuno, cero entrenamiento para tratar al cliente.

Overall i had a decent experience. The hotel was clean. Room service changed my sheets and stuff everyday although one day i put a do not disturb sign on and they still came in! My room also had no microwave or mini fridge so that sucked. The tv had a decent amount of channels in English. The views out the window of my room were pretty much non existent.(i was on 2nd floor) the shower was cool although it had no way to actually close the glass of the shower. The beds were a bit firm but i slept pretty well. The breakfast was pretty good.. they had a guy making omelet everyday.. 2 fruit options every day and plenty of other things to choose from as well. If u try to bring a guest to your room they will charge you $40. I didnt like that. Nearby the hotel is a huge park called La Sabana.. Its within a 4 minute walk of hotel. I enjoyed walking there after breakfast. On the weekends its hundreds of people there playing sports. Vendors selling drinks and such. KFC and Subway are within 3 minutes of the hotel. And plenty of other places are within a 10 minute walk or less as well. The hotel also has a casino attached but i never went. And wen u get to hotel they give you a voucher for a free drink at the bar. Overall my stay there was pretty good.

A great place to stay if you have a day or too to spend in San Jose before going on to other location in Costa Rica. It's about 20-30 minutes from the airport and has shuttle service for $15/person.
