They need to update there rooms. No iron was in the room. No ice bucket in the room , no communication. Asked for late check out via link they send they didn’t check and constantly kept banging on the door. I would not recommend nobody to go to this hotel . I stayed at other days in that was much better.

I was charge an extra $100 when I called they said because the room was trash and the blanket was missing. They tooled the blanket from me during house keeping and didn’t give me another one and when I left any garbage that I had I place in a bag and put it in the front of the door so they can take it. They said they have pics. I will have my lawyer called to get a better understanding of this falsehood when the day shift come in

Dirty, smelled like weed coming through vents. Mold covered ac unit, linens were dirty( I took pictures) and when we were leaving we saw them just pre making beds without changing the linens!!!! All vending machines were broken, the “pool” was a swamp- nothing like photos at all ! The tub was a disaster and highly doubt anything was cleaned before we stayed there- completely nasty! Oh and breakfast was coffee
( which I don’t drink) blueberry muffins with no expiration date or oatmeal also with no expiration date. No bottled water available. Also very noisy and sketchy!

My stay was long and the housekeeping staff was terrible. The trash cans were small so I had extra bags of trash in my room. They would come empty the trash can but leave the other bags of trash. Leave clean towels but not clean sheets. Never vacuumed and you could CLEARLY see the floor needed to be vacuumed. The lady at the front desk was very nice ,polite and helpful.

OK look, you get what you pay for. And this place is cheap.
Pros: The neighborhood. If you're worried about safety, this is a good pick. Its in a sparsly populated part of town with no foot traffic but commercial services are close by.
Cons: Poorly maintained. I had an electrical short in my bathroom, my office chair was so nastly I didnt even use it, and the carpet felt damp and sticky.

Would I come back?
I'd probably look around for better options, but if price was my top priority, yeah, I'd probably go back.

Unfortunately there is nothing that I felt was good about the hotel, except for respectful staff, other than that nothing else was even decent, building is in pour condition, pool was fool of green mold water, room smelled terrible, elevator is terrible, laundry machines in terrible conditions, very disappointing. I use to be a maintenance supervisor at day in years back, I know this does not meet Days in standards, unfortunately I would not recommend this facility at all.

The place was fine not bad nor good. Check in was a nightmare. The hotel said expedia didn’t post the payment correctly and I needed to call expedia. I called twice and was on the phone forever with an expedia employee who had no clue how to help me. I ended up having to pay the hotel directly and have yet to get my refund. It has been a week.

The room was WAY outdated.
Paint pealing, Toilet seat was loose, Phone did not work, had to unplug the fridge to plug in the microwave, furniture looked like it came from good will.
They left the pool uncovered which was green and disgusting. Whoever is in charge of maintenance should be fired today.
Good: Staff was friendly, Our beds were clean and comfortable, Applebee's right next door, 5 miles from UDEL.

Room was dirty. Looked like blood stains on the ceiling above the stained sofa. Bathroom floor and walls had unidentifiable stains. Bed was uncomfortable. Our room was next to the office and their living quarters. Very inconsiderate about the amount of noise they were making especially with their children. Television did not work at all despite our best efforts and believe me, we tried everything. One night was enough at this place. Thankfully, we were headed back home a few hours away. We just stopped to rest up for our drive and rest we did not get. I would never stay or recommend this place to anyone.

For some reason, housekeeping entered our room when we were not there. I only know this because towels were folded, although the beds were not made.
No one should enter your room. Since when did they do this? There wasn't even a door sign for me to put on the outside of the door saying to please do not enter. I would not stay at this property ....ever.

The check in itself was very easy , the ladies at the front desk was very nice and respectful. The room was nice and clean for the most part. The bathroom could’ve used a little more TLC. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the TV worked and had good channels. There is a microwave in the room but I didn’t have use for it so idk if it worked or not. The refrigerator doesn’t not get as cold as it should. Other than that the room was perfect. The inconvenience I had was the steps being “out of order”. I had to walk all the way to the other side of the hotel to get to the steps when there is steps right outside my room that was “out of order”. Beautiful , peaceful stay and will stay again if ever need be.

Affordability sometimes comes with risks. There was mold in the room. In the vents, sink and you can smell when you enter the room. Booked on Expedia so couldn’t get a refund. So just spent a few hours to rest and was out first thing in the morning. Any longer I would be feeling sicker. Sink and bath were clean as well the sheets. Vending machine needs to be fixed. Couldn’t get a water :/

Don't book this place unless you are being cheap!!

Place is TRASH!!! Should not be advertised on any lodging website. Place needs ample renovating. Mold everywhere. I rented two rooms for myself and family members. Mold in both room. Dirty, unclean sheets, floor, appliances. A place for people transitioning from halfway houses and/or prison.

Only good thing was the bed; comfortable!

On our first morning, coffee was gone at 7 AM. Juice machine was broken, and stale muffins were on display. Really sad reception. The rug in the room was so dirty my white socks became black. There was mold on the wall in the bathroom. And the door was splintered.
I would think a company would like to put travelers separate from smokers and non-smokers. When we walked to our families room, there are many people outside smoking. They were also quite noisy. There was evidence that they were more permanent.

The Days Inn was okay. Not special. There was no real breakfast although it was advertised as free breakfast. I was given a bag of snacks. I also didn’t realize it was a motel. The pool was not functional. I received a message about that after I booked the room. Overall, it had a bed and TV and it was what I needed. For the price, I expected better.

Close to main roads but did not hear traffic. Broken ice dispenser first floor. Broken juice dispenser at breakfast. Lumpy bed pillows need to be replaced. Tiny breakfast area with no tables and chairs. Close to a number of restaurants. Stained sofa. Room was a nice size, and included refrigerator and microwave, which is one reason we chose it. Desk chair needs to be replaced. More towels stocked in room would have been helpful.

Not worth the money spent! The overall appearance of the motel does translate to the amount spent for one night. The elevator made all kinds of clunking sounds when I used it. The main part of the room was clean, but the bathroom had mold growing around the door jam. Breakfast, if that is what it was supposed to be, consisted of coffee, juicy, and prepackaged muffins. Normally I would not write such a review if I spent less than a $100 for this type of property. However, because I spent $170 I believe Hotels. com needs to know the condition of this property.

I recently stayed at the Days Inn in Delaware for a two-night visit, arriving late at night to what I thought would be a nice budget hotel based on the online reviews and pictures.

The moment I opened the door to room 347, I was hit with an overwhelming stench of mildew. The smell was so strong it was hard to ignore, and it lingered throughout the entire stay. The only part of the room that seemed remotely clean were the beds, which is hardly comforting given the overall condition of the space.

The bathroom was the worst of all: mold lined the walls and ceiling, and it was clear there had been a poorly patched ceiling leak in the corner of the main room. When I turned on the bathroom sink, the water emitted a foul, stale odor as if it hadn’t been run in weeks, it took over 30 minutes of running the water before the smell began to fade. The shower stall was visibly patched and in poor condition, with mildew and grime along the edges. Dust and dirt lined the floors, suggesting the room had not been cleaned thoroughly between guests.

The property itself had a constant odor of mildew and sewage, and the ice machines were broken. This hotel is severely run down and in desperate need of a full renovation. The photos online do not represent the current state of this property — do not be fooled.

The front desk staff were kind and courteous, and the towels provided were clean. But sadly, that’s where the positives end. For $110 per night, this was a complete waste.

Unfortunately this was a negative experience. I realize this was by no means a \"nice\" place to stay but I still believe in certain baselines. The room was dirty there was trash on left out, hair on the floor etc. The beds were made with clean sheets but that was all. TV didnt work either. Lastly, I picked this place because it advertised breakfast included. The only things they had were little packaged 2 bite muffins(likely from costco or similar.

I think the room should be properly cleaned upon arrival and the listed amenities should be in place or its false advertising.

The hotel said they couldn't cancel the reservation, so we paid for a room we did not even stay in. We had to leave immediately. Is there a way were we can get a refund from Hotels.com
