Perfect when traveling with pets

My husband and I stayed for a night, driving from SC to ME. We had our dogs with us, and it was truly amazing to have a room that opened up into the fenced-in pet area!! We've never had that in all our travels. Having been in a car for over 10 hours, the dogs loved being able to stretch their legs and be off-leash for a bit!

A great place to stay!

We were very happy with our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Newark. The facility was clean and welcoming. And most importantly, the entire staff that we interacted with were all happy to offer assistance with speed and pleasure. They all got the memo:)

We have a dog, and we were given a room that opened on a grassy courtyard where we could take our dog on a leash. It was really nice.
One complaint: Instead of free coffee in the lobby for room guests, we had to pay $3.50/cup from a Starbuck's machine. That seemed cheap, given the room rates!

Upon arrival the bathroom floor had random hairs on it. Made me want to vomit. I cleaned the floor so I could go to sleep. This didn’t set a good tone.
Beds seemed clean. If you are like me and need a firm mattress this is not the place for you. Very soft! I asked and was told all rooms have the same mattresses.

Everything was great except the front desk person Kayla was less than friendly. Another couple was checking in at the same time and we waited 3-4 minutes without anyone attending the front desk. I eventually walked behind the counter to the back room to ask for help. We needed to get to our room to get ready for a wedding.
The room was clean and spacious, good shower pressure, comfortable beds, dark room. The women at the breakfast/Starbucks counter were very pleasant and friendly.

Probably got the worst room in the hotel. 1st floor next to lobby, but we had to get to a dinner so didn't have time to request a change. Noise from elevator, parking lot and adjoining room had a dog, so not a great experience. Room was clean, but shower curtain was too small for shower, so was tough to not flood bathroom while taking shower. $3.50 Starbucks coffee machine in lobby. I expected better from Marriott.

Was very disappointed to find the pool permanently closed. Also started getting a smoky smell in our room and had to change rooms which meant repacking and unpacking again. An EXCELLENT short trip

The stay was wonderful the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating always there to answer any questions and help with any issues, our Toilet stoped working properly one morning at 5 am when we notified the front desk they came up immediately fixed the problem so we could get ready for our day. Amazing. The staff at the restaurant and coffee shop was super friendly and fun, quality of food was decent and good quality and price. making our stay relaxing. The workout room was on a smaller side but had what we needed to get our work out. Good location would definitely stay here again.
