Upon checkin the room was so dirty and moldy that we immediately left. We have been trying to get a refund, but the rep at hotels.com was very unprofessional and lied about not being able to contact the facility. I was standing in the lobby talking to the clerk and the phone never rang. The facility said they didn't charge me, but hotel.com did so I want my refund.

Absolutely disgusting room, nasty damp smell when walking in, sheets not changed from previous user, full of hair and stains of all colors.
Pillows the same.
Bathroom was very dirty, towels too, one of them full of grey and black stains.
I slept with my clothes on top of bed cover, used a sweater over the pillow.
Absolutely disgusting, $80USD/night not worth it.

I checked in on Monday after 3p, got my room and was happy it was clean....my check out was on Thursday and left early....total of 4 days and 3 nights, now I normally dont use motel rooms so I could be wrong but no one changed my towels or new bedding...so I dont know if i should have called but in others they always came and took care of this....

Property was, not at all, what was shown on EXPEDIA. There were broken down cars in several of the parking spaces. They used cement blocks as part of their landscaping. Further, there were numerous potholes in the parking lot. The OLD sign for SUNRISE INN, is still up; and, only a tarp above the front office reflect the TraveLodge name.

Probably the worse hotel/motel I had ever stayed at. Got a non-smoking room that smelt like smoke. Carpet was disgustingly sticky. And showered with my slides on. The room was hot, and the AC took hours to cool it down. When I texted management, (their preferred communication), they never responded. Also, no Wi-Fi.

There was a truly awful smell, in the office and in the room. The clerks did not speak to me except to ask me for my ID. No instructions, just handed me a paper to sign and my room key card. The entire property was run down, and felt unsafe. The room also had a number of insects in it. It was dirty, from the walls, to the carpet, every surface looked to have a latyer of grime, even the doors. We were exhausted after traveling, so bought insecticide and air fresheners and took out chances for the night. Around 2:30 in the morning, we were both awakened by a commotion outside our door- someone yelling, throwing things. We left first thing in the morning and cancelled the rest of our reservation.

The was the most awful place I have ever had the displeasure of staying. Firstly, there was mold in the bathroom and on the shower curtain. The room was not clean then there were ants all over the room. They gave us the option to change rooms and second room was worse than the first. The third room was subpar, so we tolerated it because we could not move to a new hotel. We had a hard time getting clean towels and washcloths other large years were complaining about not having tissue. The staff was very rude and every day that we went out, my key card was deactivated, so I had to go to the lobby every single night to have my key reactivated. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The area that the hotel is in is dilapidated. If this lodge had been clean, it would’ve been tolerable, but it was dirty.. incredibly dirty

Very polite folks working at the registration desk. Efficient. It is obvious that effort has been made to improve the condition of the property, but there is still a lot more work to be done. There was no secondary security lock on the entrance door (it had been pulled off). The shower curtain was covered with black mold. The television worked and the AC unit worked perfectly.

It was awful. I left 20 minutes after checking in and the only reason it took that long, is that I was afraid to go outside to walk to my car. The room was disgusting! The smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling, the beds had crumbs and leaves on them. There was rotting food in the fridge. There were people blasting music in the parking lot. There were people smoking pot in the parking lot.

A nightmare hotel

The hotel was a nightmare! We walked into the room and it was filthy and moldy and the bathroom had paint peeling! Just outside our door there was a group of young people smoking pot and the door lock was busted! We did not feel safe so we immediately went back to the front desk and told them we could not stay here, The front desk man,
. Mike offered another room but it was not safe! We only chose it because it said Wyndham Travelodge. False advertisement since there was a plastic banner up with Travelodge on it and the real name was Sunrise Inn!

We checked in, and got a room. The bathtub was broken (holes on the side of bathtub). Holes on the floor in front of the bathroom (dangerous). Moved to adjacent room, but we had to help move the table and chair from the previous room. The AC was too noisy. Difficult to get a good sleep. We left snacks/food on the table and it was eaten by a small rat (we saw it sneaking). No TV remote. The cabinet had non functional drawers.

The hotel room was extremely dirty with cockroach droppings everywhere.
The bathroom was moldy and the carpet was extremely dirty.
The bed had hairs and the sheets were wrinkled.
I was offered another room that was not much better. So I had to make another reservation for a nearby hotel.
I asked for a refund and i was told I would get it. It's been 3 days since I checked in and I haven't received the refund.

There were bed bugs and/or rodent feces in the sheets, as well as numerous stains. For two people for two nights, we were provided only one towel and an extremely stained floor mat. The wall had an open/broken access panel to the pipes and the exposed insulation had water damage. The refrigerator was unplugged when we came in and had black mold and a weird smell inside it.

The exterior was decently maintained. The two hoteliers were firm, but professional and warm enough. Most of the people staying there seemed to be long-term stays.

The mattress was surprisingly firm and comfortable, but everything was very dirty and I couldn't help but worry about bedbugs. I only sat on it for about 20 minutes before we decided to leave. No refunds, but it was worth it for the peace of mind to sleep elsewhere.

This is definitely a hotel to avoid if you have a family or kids. Looks like people live there on a 1 night at a time basis. Car stereo parties spilling out into the parking area, some doors tagged with graffiti, and a general feeling that if you look at someone too long you'll get into a fight or worse. Hotel employee couldn't locate my Expedia booking so just handed me back my ID and basically said goodbye. The helper came in and managed to find it but then gave me a 1 bed room when I had booked a 2 bed. Turned out to be a blessing as the first room stank of cigarettes and ironically I had to pay $25 extra for a non-smoking room in case I smoked in it... that was refunded at checkout, but seemed to be a very strange policy. Stick to the nearby Elkton Lodge or Motel 6 if you don't want to worry about your hubcaps being stolen while you sleep.

I asked for a refund and was told they could not refund the room but give me a new room. The second room was just as bad. While I was waiting for the new room there were two police officers that showed to deal with an issue with someone who lives there full time. There wash trash everywhere outside. It is basically a place that rents weekly to people who are not able to rent a regular house or apartment .

I ended up just booking a new room somewhere else and left losing the 70.00 dollars and 25 dollar deposit I paid.

It was a horrible, nasty place. I definitely wasnt going to stay there with my two grandchildren that i went to spend the weekend with.

Bugs everywhere. Roaches on the bed . Crawling all over body . One woke me me crawling my ear. I’m not if he ever got out .
Somtimes i think I feel him.
The bathtub also had roaches . Not so fun fact they can swim .

I tried flushing the roach from earlier out my ear , I think he’s still there. I have videos .
It’s was filthy and a mouse came in and out of the hole in the bottom door . So Stuart little was my roommate.

Then the location of the room , they assigned me a room in the back were the residents were likely long term guest. They had a whole lot of children out side all night until 3 am playing kick ball hitting and damaging my car.
I will absolutely love a response.

Let me be honest! I stayed for three days, and what i noticed was that the staff are nice,friendly and welcome you with a smile and the rooms are clean with nice fitted sheets and towels and calm atmosphere and free parking lot. Its a budget hotel with in your reach and you have fast food close by and also its with in the hub of other hotels surrounding and close to free way. What more to expect for the price we pay

Not the nicest place to stay. Property is in need of a lot of improvement and is pretty rough. Not a great place for families. Room was old and outdated. The only decent area was the overly small bathroom which was the cleanest part of the room. There is aTV with DISH so it got a good number of channels. The WiFi worked except in the last day. It is a cheap rate so sometimes you get what you pay for, although I will not make the same mistake twice. The front desk staff was polite.

I was a little concerned based on the other reviews, but once I registered and got to my room, I was no longer concerned. The room was well kept and functional. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom and shower were clean and everything worked as expected with no dripping faucets or constantly running toilets. The staff was friendly and kind. It appears that some of the units are used as long-term rentals. However, there were no noise issues during the night. All I was looking for was a place to sleep and shower while spending the weekend in Elkton. This property met my expectations. The Waffle House within walking distance was a nice added perk.

I’m not one to write bad reviews but I felt I needed to this time. The inn is badly out of date and in great need of cleaning up. It appeared to be a permanent residence for some. I was stuck at the back of the property basically by myself, except for the 2 large dumpsters in the parking lot. There was trash strewn everywhere. The room needed a thorough cleaning. It appeared as the carpets hadn’t even been vacuumed in a while and there was a lot of hair from previous people still on the shower wall. The phone and the remote in the room were not working. I asked the front desk and they said they would send maintenance to take care of it. I never saw them. They only offered coffee in the morning but not any healthy sugar substitutes were available.

The people were not so pleasant and there is a maintenance man that has been here for however, many years that is very creepy and I searched his name come to find out he’s a sex offender, and he did a lot of years in prison for doing stuff little kids not just touching either. The place was not clean at all. They actually came to clean our room a week after we were here they made us stay out of the room until 330 which they originally said at first from 12 o’clock to 230 but they were an hour late and letting us in our room because they said they weren’t done cleaning it when I got in my room. The only thing that was done was the sheets were changed, and the pillowcases weren’t even changed. The toilet wasn’t cleaned. Neither was the bathtub nor the sink. The floors weren’t swept or mopped and they didn’t even dust not to mention they only have two washers and two dryers in the laundry faculty and only one of which work so that’s only one washer and one dryer and every time I go to put clothes in there’s already clothes in it, so how is that a faculty?

Entire hotel was too old and broken. No hot water so we needed to change room. Bathroom door didn’t even close.
