The breakfast was excellent, wide range of food, ordered an omelette that was delivered to our table hot and packed with ingredients.
We were let down by the room, could hear passing cars, and faulty air conditioning and bath plug. Was in Birmingham for a convention in The Vox, so only had a 5 minute walk around the lake. Reception and Resturant Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Room was dated, water damaged bath panel and stained sofa bed, we were woken up at 5:30am by delivery’s to the kitchen which took over an hour to unload crashing trolleys in and out of the lorry.. only to then be charged twice for our stay, once by hotels.com amd then again by the hotel !!

Some slight issues on the room on arrival were resolved instantly and staff could not be more helpful or apologetic.
Room spotless, bathroom, towels etc.
Room very comfortable.
Parking extra but on site and spacious.
Great location .
Ate evening meal and a breakfast here and both wonderful.

The meal was excellent.

Always an excellent stay, breakfast has a great choice whether you want healthy or a full English. Staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are looking a little tired with scuffed furniture and marks on the sofa. However the bathroom was clean with nice fluffy towels. Good shower.

Rooms were like something out of the 1980’s so they agreed to move us
In new rooms the tv and aircon didn’t work
Had a bath and water drained into the bedroom leaving a puddle
Went to dinner and had to wait 2.5 hours for a simple meal including bringing us the wrong main dish for my son so he had to wait even longer
Went to check out the next day and charged double for car parking
Was also recharged dinner from the night before having already paid
All in all a very very very bad stay and will not be back

Lovely hotel, but not so lovely beds.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic service, lovely room room and toiletries, however, extremely uncomfortable beds and pillows. We had a family suite and all 4 of us found the beds awful and were waking all night. The mattresses make you roll out the bed where they've obviously been so overused and they're dipped at the sides. Such a shame as it really is a lovely and very clean hotel, but at the end of the day, the beds let it down massively.

The stay was great from the moment we parked the car easily and walked into the lobby. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the rooms were comfortable (a good night's sleep).
Crowne Plaza is next door to Resorts World and within walking distance of the NEC and Birmingham International.

Terrible room

Gave me an accessibility room with a paper thin adjoining room door. I could hear the person in the adjacent room cracking into beer cans loud and clear all night.

Staff were spectacular during our stay. Nikki in the breakfast service was particularly excellent. She was personable and professional. It was clear she loves connecting with people and would remember us and others on return.

We had an issue with our in room fridge which was fixed very promptly. The lobby, bar and restaurant areas are well maintained and clean. Unfortunately I would say the rooms are quite tired and need a good refresh, in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable and worn, the carpet felt dirty because it was so old even though it was clean. The shower in the bathroom also needs updated. This was disappointing as although we were there on a peak weekend, the price for the room was high given the shabbiness of some elements.

Location is fantastic, couldn’t fault it. Close to resorts world and the NEC.

Would stay here again but would hope the price reflected the state of the rooms better.
