Amazing spot to stay when visiting Barcelona. It's pretty central and walkable to all main sights. The breakfast was worth getting, freshly made to order meals, coffee, smoothies and a breakfast bar. The staff was very helpful with recommendations around the city. 1000% recommend!!!

100% would not recommended. Small, uncomfortable room no space to even open a suitcase no place to put your toilette bag, the shower was dirty, the sheets were rough and the staff unhelpful. The bed mattress was cheap and very uncomfortable Looks like a place for remote workers and hipster travelers who don’t know better. Who allows a laptop at a nice hotel bar? Never again. Not worth the instagram up charge. The food at the restaurant also made me sick. Shame.

The room was nice, there were three of us on this trip and we booked the Deluxe Triple room. I got the sofa bed and while firm it was still comfortable. The shower stall was nice and large and I liked that the toilet had a sliding door to separate it from the sink. The water pressure was a little weaker than I’m used to but still pretty decent. The room also had a mini fridge, safe, and a hanging rod for your clothes. While the room didn’t come with an iron/ironing board, we just called the front desk and was able to borrow one. The room also came with a full-size hair dryer, bathrobes, and bedroom slippers. Location wise, Casa Bonay is conveniently located to a lot of the tourist spots (we simply walked to Sagrada Família), plus the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The hotel also has multiple dining options. Had an enjoyable stay and would stay here again.

We found this hotel after being extremely dissatisfied with our original hotel. I must say…it was amazing. High ceilings, very clean, kind staff, spacious, nice amenities, great location. Safe to say we very much enjoyed our time here. They even have beach towels you can borrow too. Only odd thing was the electricity sometimes didn’t work for short periods of time. Otherwise, we LOVED it here.

We had a room with a terrace overlooking a courtyard. Even though the hotel was in the middle of a lot of activity our room was quiet. The 3 eateries in the hotel were all excellent. I loved that there was an ice machine! A rare find.

Well located and walking distance to main attractions. Hotel has a coffee shop, cocktail bar, rooftop bar and a tapas place which makes it convenient. Room had things you’d expect from a 4 star however, we had to call in reception multiple times to ask for things that were missed by housekeeping but we weren’t bothered by that. Staff is very friendly and quick to respond. Overall enjoyed our stay here.

Our experience at Casa Bonay was outstanding from beginning to end. Santiago was very helpful and was able to get us an additional night stay in an upgraded room with just a few days notice. My husband and I were there for a combo business/vacation. We spent the first couple of days at another hotel which was terrible and left early to switch to Casa Bonay. So glad we did. We had a deluxe room overlooking the main street. It was super comfortable and had lots of character. The restaurant was excellent (need to make a reservation since it gets busy) and we loved the bakery and the lounge which had a great vibe. The hotel is centrally located and near a metro so easy to get anywhere. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

This was an adorable little boutique hotel. The design was so cute, loved the fun wall paper and prints everywhere. The room itself was very comfortable, albeit a little small. They brought by water everyday and made sure you didn’t need anything. The Malin + Goetz toiletries were also very nice. Great service and staff. The coffee shop was also delicious. It was in a great location as well with bus stops and the metro right outside.

Honestly the best hotel I've ever stayed in. We visited for our honeymoon and staff were incredibly helpful and lovely - they even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. They answered every query or request immediately. My wife and I both have dietary needs, and they were very well catered to with the excellent breakfast. Everything was spotless, and beautifully designed - definitely hipster vibes going on! Amazing cocktails and the rooftop bar is so nice. Lovely location, close to two different metro lines, and bus stops right outside the hotel.

Perfect spot in Barcelona! Loved the vibe and style throughout. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. We had the most amazing experience at this hotel. Celia was so helpful with dinner suggestions and booking onsite Covid tests to re-enter the US. Maila was also so friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious for 3, and had wonderful windows that we opened for fresh air. The breakfast was great. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel with a great staff. On-site restaurants, bars, coffee shop are great, but location allows for exploration Barcelona. Room size is nice and amazingly quiet. We stayed immediately above the main bar with a DJ playing and couldn't hear any noise from below. The design of the space was fresh and modern but many of the original features of the building retained. Location allows for exploration of El Born, Eixample, and Gothic Quarter.

Awesome hotel, very “hipster” vibe, clean & super comfortable room that was quiet and had black out curtains. We loved the specialty coffee shop that is attached (Satan’s coffee) and the swanky cool bar/restaurant (Libertine) also attached for great cocktails and wine. I wish we had booked for more days because it was truly amazing. Kind, personable staff that went above and beyond to give us individualized recommendations on restaurants and places to go (thank you Berta for being amazing!!!) we highly recommend casa bonay!!

Great boutique hotel in heart of Barcelona

Cute little boutique hotel in the Exiample district. It was walkable to a lot of great spots and super close to the Metro. Staff was accommodating and the cafe, bar and restaurant were all very good. The rooms were small but had all the essentials needed for our week long stay. The rooms were also very quiet and bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Barcelona!

Easy 10-15 min walk to the center and a few blocks from the metro. And if you take the bus from the airport (costs $5.50), it’s a straight 15 walk. I also walked to the port, Sagrada Família and Casa Battilo. Beautiful room overlooking the city too. I walked up the terrace but the winter cold kept me out.

Breakfast was standard and solid. It’s a nice boutique hotel with good vibes. Often times, it felt like a Co-working space in the restaurant/lounge area. I’d stay here again.

Bit expensive compared to other hotels at the same quality level. Stayed in a room with double bed and a sofa. We’re just a couple and it felt pretty tight. The location is good. The hotel sits on a busy street but the rooms do a good job at blocking out the road noise. When we stayed the roof was not in service, which seems like a big feature.

Great Hotel!

The staff members were friendly from check-in until check-out. We enjoyed the bookstore at the front of the hotel and bought a book for our baby on the way. Satan's Coffee is one of our favorite cafes in Barcelona, so it was nice to have it on site. We liked the products in the bathroom and that many of the items in the room were local. The location was good. The wifi worked well. The shower was nice and hot immediately, and we found the room comfortable. They have British Netflix on the T.V. which is so much better than the Spanish Netflix we suffer through. Yay!
The only negative was The Libertine doesn't have good enough food to live up to the hotel. While again the staff members were all friendly and professional the food just wasn't great. The cheese plate was a joke, and the pasta was just ok. The food should match the interior more and overall it should just be better. We rarely eat at a hotel for this reason, but because I'm pregnant and was exhausted we thought since everything was going so well at the hotel that we would give it a try, but I don't recommend it.

Excellent location, and we were even able to borrow their bikes one afternoon, too! I'd skip the upstairs bar and opt for one of the many choices within walking distance. The location is ideal. Not too close to the noises of the busier part of Barcelona but close enough to walk everywhere. We walked from this location to Sagrada Família & it was a beautiful stroll. Love this hotel, we really didn’t it leave it much of the day as our patio was the perfect lounge spot & the restaurants in the hotel were better than any of the food outside. Highly recommend this place!!

If I can describe this hotel in one word, it'd be \"hipster\". My boyfriend and I stayed at the Premier Double Room, it's cute and hip, but the thing I had with my hotel room is that I felt like they kind of cut a lot of corners and hid that behind the fact that they're a hipster hotel. For example, the \"coffee table\" was made out of three tiny pentagon wooden chairs. The \"closet\" was made out of an exposed and simple black metal rack nailed against the wall with 5 wooden hangers. The \"nigh stands\" are just two small floating wooden shelves on the wall next to your pillow. While all together they definitely give you a minimalist and hipster vibe, I couldn't help feeling like everything was on the cheaper end. There's no wall art, there's nor fancy decor per say. I'd say this hotel is more for people in their 20s who wouldn't mind to spend some extra. But if you're in your 30s and who wants to enjoy luxury and being pampered on vacation, this is not for you. One thing though, I have to give extra kudos to the service and friendliness of the hotel front desk staffs. They are super helpful, and very knowledgeable (with great english too).

A beautiful chic hotel that's very close to everything you need to do in Barcelona. The staff was very accommodating to native English speakers and helped us out with anything we needed. One of the best perks is staying in a hotel with some of the best food and drinks in the city. Highly recommended and will return.

Great hotel, spotlessly clean, loved rooftop residents garden/ chill out sunbathing area. Would highly recommended walking distance to Arc d’triomph, metro & la Rambla. Would stay here again

Lovely little hotel in the cutest neighorhood!
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
We loved hanging out at the rooftop bar as well as Libertine down below.
Also loved the free bikes the hotel provided- best way to see barcelona!

Nice, quaint hotel in a great location, with a beautiful rooftop terrace. Our room/suite was big and comfortable. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. I just found the safe in the room kind of low.

Great location, good value

The hotel was in a nice location, but had some in inconsistencies that were frustrating. For example, the wonderful rooftop bar (Chiringuito Bonay) was often open different times than advertised. And on the weekend when we wanted to eat there as an alternative to packed nearby restaurants, it was inexplicably closed. As for the rooms, they are nicely designed but some fixes would make them more comfortable (especially fixing the window shades so they actually close, helpful for adjusting to the time difference, and fixing the shower doors so water doesn’t flood the bathroom). The hotel prides itself on supporting local artists and this adds a cool factor, but also seems to mean things are always changing and never quite as advertised.
