Very happy with this hotel. Found the staff to be friendly, the cleanliness was exceptional and the facilities very good. The pool is quite small and was very cold when we visited but overall it's still a nice pool area and in peak season must be really handy to have. I'd be very happy to return to Hotel Costa Azul

Cans of water in rooms could have been replaced regularly and teabags / milk amounts could have been increased. We had a lovely stay thankyou.

My second visit to the hotel in two years. It's in a great position for watching the movements in the marina (def recommend a premium room with sea view). So clean with e everything you need. I can't comment on food as I always eat out and for that I can highly recommend places in Santa Catalina behind the hotel, or the short 20 walk to the old town. Bus line number picks up from just behind the hotel (5 min walk) for a nice trip to Cala Major or Ses Illetes. Overall I highly recommend and will be back soon.

Stayed here many times over the years with various family members. Stayed in a deluxe room this time. Always appreciate the balcony time.I didn't have breakfast this time as met with friends.
Staff are always pleasant.
Prices have risen for stays. I think they could implement a loyalty programme or offer discounts.
I have found better deals with similar hotels in Palma for my next trip in November.

I booked this hotel despite the higher price compared to others, because we had a flight the next morning and I wanted a comfortable, quiet stay. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. From the moment we entered the room, there was constant water noise coming from the bathroom and another wall. It was absolutely impossible to sleep.

I asked the receptionist to change the room, but he initially refused and only after a lot of insistence did he finally agree to switch us. This is not the level of service or comfort you expect when paying more for a supposedly better hotel. Very disappointing experience.

The hotel is very well located and you can walk to the old town quite easily. It is surrounded by excellent dining options, and some of the rooms have a spectacular view of the harbor and the sea beyond.

On the flip side, The swimming pool is a glorified bathtub. The photograph on Expedia is very misleading.

The restaurant only opens for breakfast. The breakfast spread is indeed very good.

The air conditioning in the rooms is a big challenge. I complained twice during my four night stay but they were unable to get the room to a temperature which was comfortable. Some of my co-travelers had a similar experience.

Javier at the front desk was a real superstar. Sadly, he was the exception. The rest of the staff ranged from being surly to downright rude.

Overall, for the money that we paid per night per room, the hotel was not up to scratch.

The room was spacious and modern with a balcony over looking the road then the harbor. Pool on the 3rd floor and lounge chairs but closed early so I never went. Also the restaurant closed early so we never went. Definitely a modern city hotel without the hours.

We stayed at the Costa Azul several years ago & whilst it's been refurbished since we last stayed we feel it's now way overpriced & given the facilities is closer to a 3 star Hotel. Great location but it's unlikely we'd stay again. Sorry but for us you're way overpriced.

What can I say they made my birthday most relaxing break the staff cannot do enough for you most thoughtful gesture on my birthday they bought in processco and a card even though no mention of my birthday was so so touched . We hardly left the hotel great bar menu lovely pool jaquzzi . Breakfast was a huge selection also spotlessly clean . We will be back I cannot thank the staff enough for the most enjoyable stay Thankyou .

We booked throug Expedia. Staff were attentive. Room was clean but we had some problems with the lighting. We brought to the staff attention and they fixed it. Walls are very thin and lots of street noise after 11pm. Hotel is close to Old town and great restaurants. Very walkable location.

I stayed at Hotel Costa Azul for 2 nights on a weekend. The location is fantastic. It is situated across the road from the marina and tbe view from the pool and bar on that level is beautiful.
The hotel's location is perfect. It is close to many restaurants, bars and clubs and is walking distance (15-20 minutes) to the Old Town of Palma.
My room was on level 3 but was facing the street at the back of the hotel so it was very noisy. This is the main reason that I have deducted one star from the hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean with modern decor and in good condition. There is a kettle in the room, free tea and coffee and free water in the mini bar.
Toiletries were fine - shampoo and body wash in the shower and hand wash and body lotion by the basin / sink.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I had read some reviews before booking about the receptionist(s) being rude but I found them to be pleasant and helpful. For example, one of them called a taxi that came very quickly when I was running late to get to the airport.
I would stay here again but would pick a better room (higher floor, sea facing) the next time.

The lady at reception (Andrea ?) was extremely rude upon check in. After my husband and I checked in and paid the city tax she told us that bikes were not allowed at the hotel and it was written all over their website and Expedia (it is not).
She offered to hold the bikes over night but could not ensure their safety. I asked about the luggage storage and she said that bikes were not a part of it.
Then she told my husband and I that she could lock them behind the door off to the side of the reception but the hotel would not be responsible for their safety.
I told her that it was fine and that we just need to offload our bike bags into the hotel
room as all of our belongings were on the road bikes. Including our clothes. She said okay and to bring the bikes back down.
We were not in our room 5 minutes and she called the room YELLING at me saying that the bikes were not allowed in any of the halls or the room. There was no “hello” but a “ARE YOU IN THE ROOM WITH BIKES!!!?” I explained to her that we were offloading our bike bags to drop our bikes off at the rental shop in C’an Pastilla.
She continued to yell at me on the phone telling me to bring my bike down and I said yes that I would I was just trying to offload the bags.
After getting off the phone within the next TWO minutes she called the room AGAIN as the hotel room door was closing behind me as I was on my way down to reception. Once at reception she again began to chastise me as I apologized and tried to explain.

Hotel is in a good location and is a few minutes walk to the #4 bus into town. We didn't use the pool as it was cold, the hot tub was just what you needed after walking round. The breakfast had a good selection and the omelette was made to order. The staff were very welcoming and there to help if needed. Our room was on the 8th floor,quite big but not much room to get around the beds and wasted space near the bathroom, which was good size. The prom is not finished so sitting on the sun terrace can be noisy & a little dusty.

We were out of season, so the hotel was operating on a skeleton staff. This meant the bar and lounge weren't open at all and the restaurant not open in the evening during our four-night stay. It would have been good to know this beforehand.
The breakfast was very good, although the fried eggs were consistently cold.
Swimming pool was FREEZING as it obviously hadn't been heated owing to the low season. Again, would have been good to know in advance. Hot tub was quite nice though.
Staff were friendly and efficient, but not the most welcoming. For example, we had to ask for a map and in a four star hotel we would expect to be offered this.
Beds had strange mattresses which made it very hot to sleep and I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet with a sheet over me.
Having a balcony was nice, although the extensive roadworks across the road from the hotel made it less than peaceful!!

Lovely three night stay in February. Hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was very clean and modern. Booked a room with view of the marina which was very clean and comfortable with amazing shower. No USB charging in room. Good selection of food at breakfast with eggs cooked to order.
Indoor pool and jacuzzi were nice. Only negative that sauna has to be pre booked.

This hotel was seriously disappointing, since we paid only slightly less than an amazing 5-star hotel less than 10 minutes down the road. There was rarely anyone at reception. It is so strange to walk into a hotel and not be greeted by any staff. We felt that no one cared about our comfort or satisfaction. The indoor pool was colder than the Mediterranean (in January) and the one-person jacuzzi was cold. These amenities were our primary reason for booking this hotel. We were expecting a much higher quality experience based on the price and misleading photos online.

The hotel was very well located overlooking the harbour and just a pleasant 20 minute walk in to Palma city centre. We stayed in a twin room with balcony and had a full sea & harbour view on the fourth floor, despite only paying for a partial sea view.

The room was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and we had a large built-in wardrobe and wide-screen TV. The ensuite shower room was also very clean and spacious.

The hotel was well equipped with a small swimming pool and hot-tub in a patio area, next to a small terrace with sun loungers overlooking the harbour.

The breakfast options on a morning were plentiful and of good quality. The poolside bar also served food and drinks of excellent quality.

The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful.

Our only criticism of the hotel was of the condition of the reception area, where there were some very worn / tired-looking red leather sofas by the entrance doors that just weren't in keeping with the modern decor found everywhere else in the hotel.

The hotel is located along a busy main road and there are roadworks ongoing along the road outside, causing quite a lot of noise for anyone sunbathing on the terrace above. This is unavoidable due to the busy location and no fault of the hotel.

Overall we would rate the hotel 8/10 and would definitely consider staying there again, should we ever return to Palma city in future.

Lovely clean hotel, in very handy location for walking in to Palma town, Bellver Castle, catching buses to nearby beaches with great a view of the harbour. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was the busy road out the front which was being dug up, so noisy when sitting out on the balcony. You cannot hear this inside when the doors are closed.

This place is waterfront and an easy walk to lots of locations. Friendly staff. The amenities are lacking - instant coffee in the rooms for example and a tiny elevator that only fits 2 people - I used the stairs a lot. It was comfortable and clean just not luxurious at all.

Absolutely satisfied with hotel, booked B&B only. Breakfast buffet was extensive with Continental and English options particularly the freshly made omelettes.

We wanted the pool, gym and Jacuzzi as the hotel is on the Marina Waterfront with no beach.

Room was contemporary with marina sea view, large balcony, various tea and coffees with kettle. En suite and large Smart tv. Fresh towels daily and beach towels if required.

All the staff were sociable and helpful with taxis and other travel advice.

Didnt use the gym or snack bar but nice to have.

Location across from marina with easy access to bars, restaurants and fifteen minutes walk to Palma centre.

El hotel tiene un excelente ubicacion justo en el paseo maritimo de la ciudad. Desafortunademente para el momento en que nos alojamos la ciudad estaba haciendo un trabajo de vialidad y la calle estaba super congestionada de trafico auromotor y lucia sucia. El tro aspecto es que el estacionamiento queda en un edificio separado como a una cuadra y hay que pagarlo 26 euors diarios.

The hotel is right on the harbour and easy walking distance to the cathedral snd into Palma. Our room was on the 7th floor, amazing view of the whole harbour. The road outside is busy snd some roadworks going on but it didn’t cause a problem. Room was clean, spacious and obviously recently refurbished. Pool and terrace area not huge but could always get a sun bed. Nice bar and food served too. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly english speaking staff. I’d recommend.

Location, friendly staff, good breakfast spread, clean hotel, small but clean pool, sea view and partial sea view rooms with balcony, many restraunts dotted around and a Hard Rock Cafe around too.

Overall, may not stay here again- primarily due to room size however if that’s not an issue for you, fabulous choice.

Cons:
Room size is very small, overpriced for size of room, pool is small, no facilities for dinner overnight.

We have visited this hotel a few times over the years. It’s in a good location being within walking distance of Palma Centre. It’s good if you want to just have a base but if you are looking for a hotel this isn’t for you. The bar is closed and so is the restaurant at night. The rooms are clean and well maintained. However the reception looks tired and in need of a refurb. Dont think we will return as there are far better hotels for the same price.

It has a nice small pool, spa tub and sunbathing area (3rd floor level), with shower facilities and it also has a nice indoor bar/cafe area.

The room we had was fantastic. Very well appointed. We had a premium sea view room with balcony. Plenty of storage, a nice sized balcony, tea/coffee making facilities. A large walk in shower and plenty of room in the bathroom.

Staff were all very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

It is close to the old town (c.20 mins to walk to the cathedral) and the walk is pleasant.

Lovely hotel, perfect location

I love this hotel. Stayed here some years ago with friends and loved it. This time I was travelling with my teenage daughters. It’s perfect, close to the centre, room to chill sunbathe and swim on the terrace with great views. We stayed in a great family room that was more like an apartment with two bedrooms. So much space, lots of storage, perfect for us girls! Service great, breakfast great choice. This is now my go to for palma breaks.

Not worth the money
Room was basic, could hear noise from other rooms and the toilet system - this was very unpleasant.
Loud construction outside the hotel.
