Prior to our arrival, we inquired about the check-in time and the readiness of our room, eager to settle in. Unfortunately, we were met with an unfriendly response from the receptionist, who instructed us to sit and wait, stating that there were two guests ahead of us. Feeling unwelcome, we left and returned at 2 PM, the designated check-in time. When we checked in, I had previously requested firm mattresses for our special occasion—our 20th anniversary. However, the receptionist seemed unprepared and attempted to assign us a room for guests with disabilities, which had a very soft mattress. He did not acknowledge our anniversary at all, which was disappointing. After expressing our concerns, he suggested we check the mattress in the assigned room. Unfortunately, it was too soft for our comfort. When we returned to the front desk, we were informed that all the mattresses in the hotel were the same, and nothing could be done to accommodate us. After waiting at the reception for about 15 minutes, he finally offered to show us another room, which was significantly better and had firmer mattresses. We ended up in a slightly more expensive room at the same rate we originally booked, which was a positive resolution but should have been handled more smoothly. Additionally, we were surprised to learn that a reservation and cash deposit were required to use the spa. Most guests prefer to pay by card

The staff were very friendly, and our room was ready before the guaranteed check-in time. The room itself was clean and spacious. While some of the furniture showed minor chipping, it had no impact on our stay since we were only there to sleep for two nights.

One amusing detail was the TV placement: it was mounted on the left side of the bed, squeezed between the bed and the desk, so you couldn’t actually watch it from the bed. The only way to watch comfortably was to move a chair and sit directly in front of it, which we found quite funny rather than frustrating.

The hotel is conveniently located, about a 10-minute walk from the city center and close to everything. We also appreciated the ability to store our luggage on the day of departure, which was especially convenient as we had an evening flight.

Had an amazing stay here for 5 nights. The hotel interiors are beautiful, and the property has a parking garage as well (for €15 per day). The rooms are big, bathrooms are actually huge for european hotels and have a nice balcony as well. Staff is super helpful and they even rent you beach towels. Walkable to major sites in Palma city and also to the airport bus stop. Would stay again!

experience. The staff was friendly and check-in was smooth, and the lobby gave a good first impression—clean, modern, and welcoming. The room itself was comfortable and tidy, with a cozy bed and decent amenities, though nothing particularly standout.

One major downside was the underground parking. It was a nightmare to navigate—tight spaces, confusing signage, and very limited availability. Getting in and out felt unnecessarily stressful, especially after a long day. If you're traveling with a larger vehicle or just prefer hassle-free parking, this could be a serious drawback.

On the plus side, the location is convenient, and the property felt safe and well-kept. The hotel offers good value for the price, but I’d recommend they rethink or improve the parking situation. I might stay again, but only if I didn’t need to use the garage.

Very grand interior, much prettier than expected!

Very clean facilities, nice staff, walkable distance from the port, the cathedral and restaurants. Very close bus station that connects you with nice beach areas. The breakfast was of good quality and worth the extra price. They offered us to use the fitness facilities to shower and change on our last day before heading to the airport.

This been said, Palma is good if you are a family, not much to do if you are in your 20/30s.

We are really amazed. The hotel is so beautiful and very comfortable and is close to the center. We found also a lot of restaurants nearby.
Big room, big bed, big bathroom. Coffee and tea in the room, water bottles free. Small balcony looking in the street.

What a lovely property, this is so well maintained, the rooms are excellent and it’s the little touches like the radio in the bathroom, water included that make the difference.
This is located a perfect distance from everywhere, easily walkable in all directions, safe and quiet.

The hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated. The room was large and the bathroom was also large. Really liked the built in radio in the bathroom. Breakfast was great too.
However, the room was poorly soundproofed, we could hear people talking in the other room and we could hear noise from the road. This was the only downside to our stay.
Location wise, the hotel is very close to main streets and restaurants.

What we liked was the size of the rooms, especially the bathroom with a separate shower. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean. This hotel is situated a bit out of the hubbub of central Palma, but close enough to walk into it. Lots of walkable options for good food. The hotel itself is well kept, with clean, quiet, good sized rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. They do have a parking garage where you may park for a reasonable fee- a godsend in Palma. My only disappointment is that the breakfast ( not included) was mediocre and not worth the extra money. Otherwise- very good value!

A short city break

This is our go to hotel in Palma. It’s in a great position not far from Jaime Tres so close to all the shops and all amenities. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean. The hotel has an old fashioned feel which makes it quite grand. I think we have stayed here about ten times over the years which is a pretty good recommendation!

The Continental is our go to hotel in Palma. It’s in an excellent position and has lovely big rooms and bathrooms. It has old paintings on the walls and has quite a grand feel. It’s easy to access the centre of Palma and the stop for the airport bus is just round the corner.

Had a glass of wine at hotel had to ask for it changed as tasted off. Next glass still not good from new bottle. Think they need to rethink their choice of white wine as would have stayed for another drink.

A short stopover

I can’t remember how many times we have stayed here but it’s lots! There are several reasons we return. The hotel is in a very central position close to restaurants bars and shops. The rooms are very spacious and the large bathrooms have been refurbished. We tend to book room only so can’t comment much about the breakfast.

What a great hotel right on the edge of everywhere you will want to be to explore Palma completely. The staff went above and beyond on a number of occasions; in getting us a rental car arranged for one day, for coordinating a taxi when we got stuck at the castle after the gates closed and in helping us with recommendations and maps. Great staff, super nice hotel. Clean and Roomy and I can't recommend enough!

The lobby and check in area where beautiful, very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The room was spacious and well equipped with Tea and coffee, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Best of all it’s right in the heart of Palma. We would definitely recommend it and will stay there on our next visit.

Great one-night stay in trendy Santa Catalina

Everything in the hotel is about space; from the entrance and atrium to the large rooms.
Large bathrooms and super comfy beds for a great night sleep.
Although the hotel is in the trendy area of Santa Catalina with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, it feels very quiet.
It’s got an easy access to the airport (20 minutes bus, plus a 4 minute walk) and walking distance to all of Palma’s amenities.
We tried to use the spa facilities but they only seemed to book them every 3 hours per room so couldn’t get in. A bit disappointed but everything else was great.

This is our second stay at The Continental. It’s a lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful decor, brilliant breakfast in lovely spacious surroundings. cleanliness and great rooms. Cannot be faulted. A perfect location for a city stay. The number 1 bus from the airport takes you to a three minute walk away from hotel.
