I've stayed here a few times flying into, out of and through Detroit. It's close to the airport and has a 24 hour free shuttle. It's a common place for Delta to send stranded passengers so the shuttle (and check-in) line can get long if you hit it wrong.

The atrium area is really nice. I like hanging out there. The free breakfast buffet is among the best I've ever had. The eggs actually tasted like real eggs. They had a great spread of the typical stuff including make your own belgian waffles. The coffee was fine and there was plenty of it.

The main downside is the upkeep. Many things in the room and hallways are worn or straight up broken. Usually it's just cosmetic stuff but this past time, the shower didn't work and our toilet was clogged. This is an area of concern for sure.

Overall, I'd stay there again if I need a quick night near DTW.

Being handicapped and traveling for a medical proceedure the hotel generously gave us a suite with two bathrooms anfd2 places to sleep. The master bedroom had a walk in shower that was great except it had nothing to hang on to and the shower curtain remained from a previous tub that was no longer there. The problem was the curtain bowed outward watering the floor and there was no way to prevent it.

What I liked about the stay there was a in door pool, the restaurant with the bar was ok. They had a bigger restaurant that served breakfast that was very nice. I didn't like the fact that we couldn't take the food upstairs. My friend couldn't walk that much. They should allow disabled people to have their food in the rooms. Also when we got there the room we had at first the floor was very very sticky and the heat wasn't working. They with no problem gave us another room that was better. I wanted to wash some clothes but the laundry room wasn't working as well and it was very far. For the most part everything was ok. We just stayed over night

Room was ok but don’t eat at the restaurant. The food was only burgers and fries. Burgers were burned so bad could not eat them. Told me to eat the fries and make new burgers. They did and then carded 74.00 for meal. Ridiculous.

Went with my wife and daughter for 2 nights to attend a close family graduation. Very odd policy of a $150 cash deposit. They wouldn't let me use my cc, had to be cash. The actual property is beautiful with a courtyard in the middle but too many rules like breakfast cannot be eaten in the room. Pool is locked and you need permission to enter. It was closed both days saying they were short staffed and unable to open. Then at checkout you have to wait while they inspect your room. Horrible experience and will not be back.

We got down for. Breakfast about 20 minutes before closing and they were already out of most every thing on our first morning. 2nd day we got there around 8:30 everything was good but not hot. Our holtel room appeared to be dark. The curtins dont close to well Had to use clips to make sure they were closed.

Eva at the front desk isn't absolute Angel to work with she accommodated us with everything she could and went above and beyond with suggestions. The shuttle driver Mike offered to pick up my partner from the airport and have me ride with him even though we didn't shuttle from there when we originally flew out. Lisa in the palms bar and grill was also very attentive and very pleasant. Michaela at the front desk was also very accommodating and pleasant. We met no unpleasant people during our stay the breakfast is amazing the pool is great the hotel itself is like being outside in Florida in the summer even though it was April in michigan. Would highly recommend. In fact we stayed an extra night even though we only live an hour and a half away.

The room was okay, but it was hot. We couldnt turn down the heat. Just blowed hot no matter what you did. The beds were hard. We had 2 queen beds, but one was on wheels! Why?! We couldn't sit on the bed and lay back on the headboard without rolling away from the headboard!! Seriously?! We had places we had to be so we were busy. Our room was near the steps to the side door where we parked so we never went by the front desk. I tried to text them about our issues but no response. Pool was cloudy, ice machine leaking really bad, really cold in some parts of the hallways. Etc.. etc..

The main reason I gave a 3 was the first room we were given had a water leak, the second room the door did not close finally settled in the third room didn't realize until the morning that door also did not close the only reason I can think that this issue with the doors is because it's right by the pool and between the moisture and steam humidity maybe the wood is expanding and whatnot however I will see that the staff was very accommodating in professional and took care of what we needed to the best of their abilities

I checked in on the 13th at 4:30. The power went out at 5:30. They said it will be back on at 10 PM that night. It did not come back on. I asked for a refund that morning. I had no lights I slept in a cold room. It was so cold. I had to leave out at 2 AM to go sit in my car in the hotel parking lot to keep warm and I’m waiting for my refund.

Staff was great and the rooms were clean. The atrium garden was very nice. Ample, safe parking. Good selestion of snacks/drinks at the lobby. My only complaint is that the restaurant on site left a lot to be desired - I would suggest eating off site.

3 staff members said there be 2 shuttles since we had a party of 12. We paid for the stay and fly. Got to the lobby in the morning and there was only 1 shuttle. The staff member that was working apologized and said they only ever run 1 shuttle and didn’t have any idea why we would have been told different. Hotel is outdated but kind of neat that way. Our room didn’t have a working thermostat so it was cold when we got in and hot the morning we left. Bar in the hotel is cool and great service.

Room was dirty and not well kept, smelt bad. Halls smelt worse. Power outage caused pool to be closed but no other hotels we called had this issue. Only booked for the pool. Looked nice on the photos was exactly the opposite in person. We actually left and didn’t stay the night. Only positive was the front check in lady was very polite and kind, when we decided not to stay she didn’t hassle or question it.

The wall between my room and the next door room had no sound protection and the other guests conversations were clearly heard plus their TV. I couldn’t sleep the whole night will never gonna stay there again.

The door was damaged and it was open when we got to the room. We had to push hard to close it. The room was incredibly hot but the thermostat was set to 70. We changed it to 69 and at various points woke up sweating. The power went out on one of the outlets.

Before I checked in I had to give them a $140 deposit in cash. They wouldn’t accept credit card, and I had to go back out to my car to get the cash.

Hotel was very very sketchy and insanely dirty. These reviews claiming it’s clean are absolutely lying. I had to wipe my feet every time I got back into the bed because my feet would get caked with mystery crumbs and wads of hair. The privacy curtains didn’t close so the sheer curtains were all there was to block inside from the parking lot. Would never recommend.

The breakfast food provided was a good selection and it was hot when brought out. However, the breakfast area was very cold and that made the food cold very quickly. And food was not allowed back to the rooms. I understand why but when most of the people have to wear outside coats because the area is too cold there should be allowances made.
Also the climate control in the room was rather noisy and I had to set it as high as it would go simply to get the room to the low 70's.

The staff were very welcoming and courteous. However, at check in I noticed a propane cylinder being used to heat the space at the reception area. There was another cylinder inside the main entryway. I believe this is a safety violation. Our first room didn’t have wifi so we had to be moved. At night our heating/cooling unit shut off so there was no air circulation. No window to the outside. Carpeting was good..

Stayed here a few times, the breakfast is the best part but they’re picky about you taking it back to your warm room… they keep the lobby area freezing along with the pool. One of the times we stayed here we had kids banging on our door and running away as we were trying to get rest. But other than that the hotel is okay for the price.

The airport shuttle was fabulous. Picked me up promptly at midnight at Detroit Metro. Parked my car at the hotel while I traveled. Very convenient. The interior of the hotel was once magnificent. Now the plants and foliage are in really neglected condition. Sad. The room was just fine. Nice linens. Comfortable bed.

I enjoyed my stay because the staff was so accommodating. The bed was quite comfortable, and it was quiet. But it had some issues, like it needs new carpeting, the door didn't line up. I had to slam it in order to close it. There was some mold in the corner, the lamp stand was shaky. But all around enjoyable!!!

What an amazingly positive experience I had at this hotel. First, the young woman who worked the desk for checkin on Nov 17th was kind, helpful, considerate and patient. She smiled! The hotel itself is beautiful! The atrium! Wow! Loved the complimentary, pleasant shuttle to the airport. Loved being able to leave my car at the hotel. The bedding was lovely. A great experience all the way around.

I would rate it higher but the air conditioning was heat only, the indoor pool was freezing cold, the eggs at breakfast were kinda gross, and the TVs were zoomed in weird. Other than that, everything was perfect. The beds were comfortable, the shower felt nice, the staff were VERY helpful and so was the airport shuttle, and the location is perfect for the price.

Property is run down. 1st room we were sent to was in what seemed like a deserted wing of the hotel, door was broken, lock/handle was broken/falling off. Door wouldn’t close. Second room was a little better with a working door. Still felt a little grimy. The front desk lady was really friendly.

I had a great stay. Airport shuttle pickup, breakfast (eggs, hash browns, sausage, cereals, bagels, waffles, yogurt, juices) there is a restaurant open for dinner, vending machine and snacks in lobby, garden and lots of seating in the middle of the first floor, pool, gym, my room was clean, very comfortable bed and pillow selection. Better than expected for the price! Great deal.

Bugs in the room. No refrigerator , and tried to get them to bring one in, they kept saying it would happen and didn't after 4 days. I ended up having to switch rooms first night cause of the bugs. Got to my room and toilet wouldn't flush. I had to have my daughter come from pass Ann Arbor just to fix my toilet because they didn't do it after I waited all day for someone. Not to mention my phone didn't work so I couldn't call down I had to leave the room and go down to the desk for anything. I've stayed at these properties and had no problems. Warning to all ,they do everything backwards. I paid for a week. When I ended up leaving 4 days early and I paid $300 and credit card. When refunding my money,,refused to give the cash part back. They made me wait 2 weeks for it to go back to my card. And they don't give you a receipt upfront when you ask for it either.
