We came in later in the evening only to stay because we were catching an early flight the next day. The Gale working the counter told me that I hadn't paid yet even though I had. She insisted on charging me again and when she realized l was charged twice she said they would work it out the next day after I've left. She wanted me to sign for the room. I wrote on there that they were going to take care of refunding me the second charge and she told me that she would not accept that on there. I had to sign for the room and she wouldn't guarantee the refund of the second charge. When I told her that it was not acceptable she threatened to have me removed from the property by the police unless I was willing to sign without any guarantee of being refunded the second charge. I'm 65 years old and in all my years I've never been treated so poorly by somebody working the front desk of a hotel. The man that handled the shuttle (Ali) helped us out and apologize for her. The next morning when we went in to get a cup of coffee she told us we had no right to the coffee and we had to wait outside. She said we weren't allowed in the lobby. I would definitely warn people about staying there because the help they have is very poor with a lack of intelligence. That's probably why the room is very inexpensive.

I always stay here when I have a quick turn around in the city. Near the airport, clean, comfortable bed, hot water with good water pressure. This time around, the heater didn’t really get hot, but it was warm enough that I didn’t freeze.

For a 1 night stay before going to the airport this Inn was fine. Very convenient to Airlines Parking which we prefer and the Detroit Airport. This is a older motel showing it\"s age, but was clean enough, parking right outside the room door. Restaurant in the Inn was good & also convenient. Check in person (male, name?) was wonderful. Would use this Inn again.

It is what it is- a room before your flight. Rooms are older but clean and it is close to airport. Our first room had a heater that made incredible noise so they moved us no problem.
There is a reason they are one floor motel type- that being any taller and the planes that fly directly over the roof would hit them. They sound like they are landing right above you so don’t expect sleep.

I like that this place is super close to the airport and its an active place. The property room smellwd like smoke when i entered and it was a super strong smell. The office staff offered to give me abother room but the location was not that great. I asked for spray and they did get it to me. It was quiet challening to sleep in the room because of the smell. After leaving a day ahead of schedule, i infomred the new staff about the smell and they assured me that the maid would work on the room. Overall staff are friendly and accommodating. Cool place to stay for affordability, location and friendly staff.

Do NOT Stay Here – Absolutely Disgusting
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The place was disgusting and clearly not safe. The property had homeless people hanging around, the parking lot was completely empty, and there didn’t appear to be any other guests—which should have been my first clue.
We specifically booked a non-smoking room. The second I opened the door, it reeked of smoke. It was obvious the room had been smoked in heavily. To make it worse, there was a bag of used baby wipes on the bathroom floor, mold in the corners, and overall the room was filthy. I didn’t feel comfortable even setting my bag down.

Lesson learned: if you ever book through Hotels.com, pay extra for the trip protection insurance, because clearly they do not stand behind the hotels they advertise.

Our room is under the landing flight path to 3R runway, you need to change your description of the rooms because there is no tea/coffee makers in the rooms now and you have to go to the reception for either tea or coffee which is inconvenient.

It’s only plus is its proximity to the airport. Our room had a terrible musty odor and we had to leave the exterior door open to air it out for three hours but it was still there. The toilet seat was broken and it was never repaired while w were there. We spent two days and there was no cleaning service at all in our room. The towels are low quality (they look forever to dry) and there were only two. Bathroom floor felt “sticky” and unclean. Breakfast ended everyday at 9am and consisted of boxes o cereals, mediocre bagels (no cream cheese) and muffins. We took this hotel based on previous reviews which certainly did not agree with our experiences. One positive: the shuttle service to and from airport was excellent.

You get what you pay for. Reviews are one thing, but star rating is another. Best price in the area during commencement weekend, but the 2-star rating shows. Too bad Expedia doesn't make the star rating conspicuous. Check the rating in Google before booking this place. Breakfast was next to nothing - no cream cheese for bagels, coffee was terrible.

The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was extremely thick and comfy, the TV was large, the mini fridge actually got cold and it was clean! The parking was right outside the door which is a plus when you get back late, and its cold and you have food or bags. We were able to auto start the car in the mornings, and keep an eye on it. I really wish I had found this place earlier, it would have saved a lot of disappointment with other hotels. My husband and I both agreed that this is were we will stay anytime we come back for a short trip. good price, and a great, clean cozy room. I would definitely recommend! Also, the young registration agent who had just started there was so sweet.

You can tell there are people who are living full time in the hotel as well. Our last experience we checked in and 10 minutes later found out our flight was cancelled so we were going back home and the hotel wouldn't give us a refund.
