Loved my stay at White Caps, not the most luxurious motel in Wildwood but the room was great for what we needed and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Had a nice kitchenette with a stove and refrigerator, and the beds were king sized which is rare for a motel I’ve ever stayed at. It is a block and a half away from the boardwalk/beach which is amazing. We went in October so it was the off season but the price was unbeatable and they even upgraded our room for free. I will definitely look to stay there again in the future.

The White Caps is pet & people friendly! Kate & her staff: Kat, Bruce, Teresa & others bend over backwards to accommodate & welcome all guests. Any needs or wants any guest request & the staff delivers! The accomodations are clean, comfortable, there are kitchens available & lots of sleeping spots in every room. The rates are family friendly as well & one gets great bang for their buck! It's a lovely & quaint motel/hotel built in 1959 & we love it!

Great location and great front desk. Teresa was so kind and helpful. The place needs some improvements and some things are re done but its just not done very well. My toilet rocked, towels are horrible, and we hate that there is no ice machine! The dog fee is not huge which is great!

We have been going to Wildwood and staying at the White Caps motel every summer since 2021 and it has always been a great experience. The motel itself is quite standard, but it’s super close to the boardwalk and in such a convenient location. We also love the pool and the staff at the motel. We’ll be back next year.

Great service. Very nice people.

The staff went above and beyond to make us happy. There were a few hiccups in the rooms. Nothing we couldn't live with. Room 11 the electrical outlets in the middle of the room would not hold a plug. I could, however, plug in my phone on computer by the door. There was also wire behind my toilet after I took a shower. But i'm pretty sure it came from the toilet valve. Not dirty water.

Room 9 smelled like bug spray. But it was more updated than room 11. Most of the hotels around were very expensive around three hundred dollars a night. We paid under $200 for this one. So i'm pretty happy with the price versus value.

The pool was nice and clean and they even offered to let us keep the parking spots as till three as long as we were out of the rooms by check out time. Free of road parking and they even give us extra towels right away for the pool, because they knew the kids wanted to go swimming.

We didn't have a pet but pets were allowed and my room did not smell like pets at all. Lots of people brought their dogs.

The rooms had microwave and refrigerators. The a/c was nice and cold

It was clean. Ice machine was broken. Still worth 4 stars.

Our room was awful. The layout made no sense and made it hard to not bump into each other every two seconds. The bed was very uncomfortable and poor quality. The toilet’s flushing system was suspect at best and the supplied toilet paper was as thin and flimsy as cotton candy. The only good thing was that the air conditioner did work. Would never stay here again.

My family has been coming here since the 1970's when I was a child, Later in the 1990's my sister and I brought our families here and now 2025 we continue coming.
One hiccup back in 1917 during Irish weekend we had disruptive \"neighbors\" who played loud music late into the night (speaker set on a table outside our suite) and left their alcohol bottles (glass) all along the upper level walkway. This was not cool. Mentioned it to the man at check out, but he didn't seem concerned.
We didn't go back for a few years but then decided to return and glad we did. This stay was much better. :)

Easy to get to from the Garden State Parkway. Parking on property. Clean room, comfortable bed and good AC. I was there for a show at Seaport Pier and it was a 10 minute walk from White Caps. Theresa checked me in and being it was my first time at Wildwood she pointed out some great food and shopping in the area. Great all around experience.

The motel has a good location, and the pool is small. However, they need to improve their cleanliness significantly. There was a lot of dust behind the beds, the linens covering the mattress looked very dirty and had moisture stains, and the lamp looked very dirty and had moisture stains. The air conditioner didn't have a remote control.

Room was clean but dated. Our room had 2 beds which made the room tight. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great. Beds were comfortable. Only 2 hangers in the closet. There was only 1 small bar of soap provided and no tissues. No coffee maker. No cups or glasses were provided. Super small microwave. Parking was a premium. We were afraid to drive anywhere and lose our spot but easy walk to many things. Apparently, the hotel is pet friendly. Every other room seemed to have a dog. Which was not a problem. It would be good choice with a pet.

The room was very outdated and dirty, hand prints on walls in bedroom and bathroom. The room above us was extremely loud with thuds all throughout the night because the ceiling was a drop ceiling so you could hear everything. There were drunks yelling at each other at night. Kids were jumping from second story balcony into the pool and splashed us as we were leaving for dinner and not in pool area so we had to change. The window to the room had no lock on it so someone could just slide it open and come in anytime they wanted as well as the bathroom not having a working lock on the door. WIFI was AWFUL didn’t work ever and there were no chairs to sit outside your room only chairs in the pool area and half of them were broke so when you sat in them you almost fell. Over all the staff was so very nice but the hotel itself was really rundown and sloppy.

Honestly, this place was awesome; the staff provided everything needed quickly. I had a fridge that wouldn't shut and was leaking a little water. I took my dog for a walk, and when I came back, they were putting a new fridge in within an hour—that's amazing. My only complaints are that they need a larger side parking area and need updated TVs and better cable.

Super friendly staff, very clean and quiet! Check out was 10-11AM, but they let us park in the lot until 3PM so we could hit the boardwalk one last time before headed out. The room was pretty snug but clean and cool from the AC unit. One thing I’d note is that it is one parking spot per room, regardless of room size due to the age of the building and parking lot. This wasn’t an issue for us since we carpooled, and I wouldn’t fault the owners for something out of their control. They were super kind and suggested some other places for free parking if we needed it. :) would stay again!

Overall, considering we booked only a few weeks prior to our stay, the motel met our basic needs. The room did look like it was recently recked by a previous tenant, as we compared to the room our daughter was staying in. The staff was very helpful in getting us what we needed. I would mention that the kitchen materials were sparse and of the mis-matched variety. But for a dog friendly motel, in easy walking distance to the boardwalk, beach, and dog park, it met our needs. I would stay here again, but would be better prepared for using the kitchen. The coffee maker takes grounds ( they have filters on hand), there’s no pot holder or dish towel, no ice bin to fill from the ice machine. This could have been just our room, but be prepared just in case. The ACME is a 2 minute drive.

I seen a mouse run across the floor, I immediately went down and told the woman working at the front desk. She moved me to another room and then not even 2 hours later there was a whole family in that same room!!!! The room I was relocated into smelled like urine and there was mold all over underneath the kitchen sink and it was hidden by a towel! And my window did not lock and I went down to tell the same woman that told me she would check with the owner to see what she could do about my mouse situation and never got back to me for over 2 hours, said she would have maintenance take care of it and they put a screw in the window to hold it open. There was about 50 gnats flying around in that room with an open floor leading to what look to be like an underground basement. I had to cover it with a 100 lb dresser with myself and my child. I was told I can get a refund but I would have to leave right away! I mean come on I'm not telling you that you have outdated the walls and blankets, I am telling you I just seen a mouse run across my floor! And then to put me in an even dirtier room..I would have drove home but I cannot drive at night so I was forced to stay there all night and then leave the second it got light out. The next morning I went down to complain to the owner which I told to be there at 9:00 a.m. and there was no one there and I waited until almost noon see if I can talk to somebody and the door was still locked and nobody was in sight! Never stay here!!!

I’m very torn about what to say as this place is dear to my mother’s childhood memories. Our second night there was a leak in the ceiling that resulted in the tile falling on the beds around 5:45 am. (Minutes away from hitting my toddler.) We lost a whole nights sleep and some of our bags were soaked. Management couldn’t change our room until the next day. We were offered 1 night refund (but not the taxes and the 40 extra person per day fee) and a late checkout. I’m still frustrated that we didn’t receive at least 2 night refund.

However, location was great and the pool was nice enough. The staff treated my parents very well. The accommodations are pretty run down but we were only sleeping there.

I booked a room for the weekend and for the price I paid it wasn’t up to par AT ALL. I legit had to go buy cleaning supplies and clean the room top to bottom, I don’t think they cleaned it at all, not even swept the floor. Being a dog friendly place, cleaning should be deep cleaning done after every stay. I bought a whole new bed set because their set had dog hair and stains all over it even the mattress cover!! I felt dirty even though I took 3 showers a day. The shower curtain had mold on the bottom and there was black mold in the tub on the walls. The door could’ve been easily opened even when locked with just one little push and the window blinds were packed with an inch of dirt. I asked for a room change but they said they couldn’t accommodate that. The TV was like a 33 inch and sitting on top of a refrigerator that had rust all over it. They had no control over the parking as anyone can park in the parking lot, I came back a lot of times to no parking. Only thing good I can say is the front desk woman, who is blonde and tall, she was very respectful, nice and efficient for check in and would answer calls immediately. Other than that, I would never go here again

Comfortable motel in a convenient location. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool was very well maintained and clean. our room was mostly updated with new tile in the bathroom and a new vanity and sink and new backsplash and cabinets in the kitchen. The air conditioner worked really well. There was an ice machine and propane grills. the negatives were that the furniture has not been updated... the refrigerator was not full size... and the property allows pets so I woke up every morning to the sound barking... those were only minor inconveniences. we had a very nice stay

Good location, bad quality of service. Before asking to be moved when they had an opening the 2nd day, we were put in a literal cement hole in the wall with no window (only one in bathroom)! Felt like jail, tiny. This was never told or advertised as such, and most definitely should be disclosed. As for the facilities, no drainage near pool, flooding all around the 1st floor, no functioning ice machine (told it’s broke and has been broke), ants in the room also. Door kept locked and unable to find anyone if towels needed, no functioning TV (one fuzzy channel). Motel hasn’t been given any love in a long time. Needs some cleaning and TLC.
