This was my third time staying at Waypoint. If Waypoint is an option, I will always take it. My teens and I am pretty much used every option available, which included s’mores, bikes, games, fresh squeezed orange juice, cookies, and the lemon chia cups. We walked to the pier, and then walked downtown. Then, we went to Ventura Music Hall and saw The Ultimate Doors (tribute band, of course), and they were amazing! We stayed in The Aluminaughty, and it was the perfect size for three of us. We did notice the shower inside the trailer ran out of hot water quickly, but we just used the other showers near the entrance. I love those showers since they are big, clean, and all of the amenities are provided there as well. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Stayed here during a recent visit to Ventura. Upon arriving, I had a difficult time finding the property due to ongoing construction and multiple road closures. After driving around for a while, I eventually spotted a few small signs directing vehicles toward a detour that led to the property. I tried calling the office for assistance during this time but unfortunately didn’t get an answer.
When I finally checked in, I was informed that I hadn’t received the detour instructions because I had booked through a third-party site. It would have been helpful if this information had been shared more widely.
That said, the property itself was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The staff were amazing—friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. The trailers were also spotless and well-maintained, though quite compact. I understand they’re trailers and not standard hotel rooms, but the bathroom was extremely small—so much so that it wasn’t possible to close the door comfortably for privacy. Because of this, I ended up using the public restrooms near the office when needed.
The bed was a bit too firm for my personal preference, and the trailer did get quite cold in the evenings, though they do provide a space heater, which was appreciated.
Overall, the property has a lot of charm and the staff really make a difference, but a few adjustments could make the experience even better.

This is honestly one of the cutest places I’ve ever stayed. The attention to detail is amazing with their home grown passion fruit desserts, their fresh baked kitchen sink cookies, the smores they hand out to guests for the multiple fire pits, they also provide oranges so you can squeeze your own juice. Staff was amazing. They have corn hole, hammocks, free bikes and a game room. It’s just a stones throw from the beach. I can’t wait to go back!

We previously lived in Ventura and come in for a quick couples date night so we are very familiar with the area. The location and access to the beach, restaurants, entertainment is great. The park has a nostalgic feel with thoughtful touches such as the corn hole set, community fire pit, complimentary coffee and s’mores, water bottles and coffee creamer in the fridge, selection of tea leaves, sleeping/eye masks on the pillows, private patios and beach comber bike access (wish we knew about the free bike usage beforehand). Our only complaint is there were no utensils/plates and the old school coffee pot in the room was a hassle. Why have a BBQ pit with nothing to put your food on? Bright back leftover from a local eatery, better cut up that steak before you bring it back to your trailer. Other than that, the location is great and the feel is wonderful.

The retro RV where we stayed was nicely furnished with everything that we needed. The \"lot\" was nicely decorated with two community (gas) fire pits. The host provided small snacks and drinks in the morning and smores with spiced cider in the evening.

Fantastic place! The staff was very engaging and helpful. So many small things that are big that make it feel like a B&B. Access to games, books, corn hole, outdoor fire pit, s’mores, homemade cookies, squeeze your own orange juice, and more. The only negative was in the 6 trailer court (#1-6) maintenance was doing work on one of the trailers at 8am so it was awkward going out side to sit in your own patio or the fire pit community circle as 6 guys are working 20 feet from you. Looking at map, I had hesitance about being so close to 101 but I didn’t notice any noise as the apartment complex that is in between us acts as a noise buffer. Easy access to beach and pier, walking distance to a great taco bar, and a very short distance to Main Street with restaurants, bars, shops and more.

As many others have mentioned, there are so many special touches. We were able to spend some time at the fire to make Smores and borrowed the bikes in the morning to ride along the beach - perfect!
Other reviews have mentioned concerns about how it is located along the train tracks but this is not a problem. We didn't hear a train from the time we went to bed to the time we got up in the morning. Wish we could have stayed longer and if we are ever in the area again we will be back. Thank you Waypoint!

We loved the “Green Eggs and Ham” trailer, and would stay here again in a heart beat. I needed a short getaway because my family was driving me insane. I picked
Waypoint because I hate hotels and this is as far from a that as you can get without being in a tent. The people that run it are very nice, thorough and professional. The trailers are roomy and beautiful inside. Very comfortable, quiet, great bed and immaculate. There is purified water in little milk bottles, loose tea, and freshly ground coffee with a pour over filter, not a dirty Nespresso machine. There's always fresh coffee and teas in the office. Also, mornings you can make yourself fresh Orange juice. At night it's mulled cider, hot cocoa and the fixings to make s'mores over the fire pit. Finally, it's close to the beach, the pier and Main Street where you can find a plethora of thrift shops.
Waypoint because I hate hotels and this is as far from a that as you can get without being in a tent. The people that run it are very nice, thorough and professional. The trailers are roomy and beautiful inside. Very comfortable, quiet, great bed and immaculate. There is purified water in little milk bottles, loose tea, and freshly ground coffee with a pour over filter, not a dirty Nespresso machine. There's always fresh coffee and teas in the office. Also, mornings you can make yourself fresh Orange juice. At night it's mulled cider, hot cocoa and the fixings to make s'mores over the fire pit. Finally, it's close to the beach, the pier and Main Street where you can find a plethora of thrift shops.

If you want some thing that is clean, and different, this is the place. The attention to detail is amazing as I had fresh squeezed orange juice, and I could make my own teabags. You can walk to the pier or borrow their cruiser bikes. They have a fire with s’mores and hot cocoa and mulled cider. The campers are glamping without any of the work. My sister and I traveled down the coast and this was one of our favorite hotels.

This place is so much fun! You can walk to the pier and beach or downtown restaurants and bars. The grounds are like a really cool neighborhood with fire pits, outdoor games and swings. The trailers are each unique and fitted out with some luxurious amenities. Bed was super comfortable. The staff was accommodating and friendly.I’m recommending this place to all my friends and will definitely come again.

My wife loved it because it was different staying in a trailer. I wasn't so thrilled. The person checking us in didn't know what she was doing. She wanted to charge me $300 when I had already paid for the stay through hotels.com. Some of the outlets in the trailer didn't work and the heater/AC unit was extremely noisy. When the train goes by it is very loud and it makes the whole trailer shake. Fortunately, there weren't any trains at night. At one point the satellite dish quit working and we had to shut the TV down and restart it to get it going again. On the plus side, it is a close walk to the pier and a taco place on the corner which was outstanding.

So fun! Such a lovely little RV community. We loved our over night rental ( we rented the flamingo rv). The attendees at front desk we’re so helpful, check in easy, they even had free bicycles to check out and we were able to bike to the pier for some fish tacos. What a gem! My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay here. The amenities are top-notch: fresh coffee and treats each morning, s’mores and hot cider each night, and a lovely selection of tea and coffee in each trailer complete with electric kettle and pour-over.
