This a scam from Expedia, the pictures are fake, there’s no such thing as they said. The location is almost 3 blocks away from the beach. But Expedia sells it like the hotel in in the beach area. Be careful booking with Expedia. The manager said, Expedia sells pictures that the hotel located in the beach but it’s not true. The condition of the hotel is old and part I’m the room are broken. So no recommendations to this place. Don’t believe what Expedia is posting on the pictures because it’s not true. It’s a scam.

First red flag I should have know was the number listed was not answering 2 days prior to booking I left a message then realized when I got there and asked the number they had was different then the one listed on Expedia which i feel they use to their advantage. Upon arriving was hit with a “remaining balance” fee that I couldn’t get an understanding of aside of “this is because you booked through Expedia” after trying to understand for nearly 10 minutes going back and forth with the manager. She then tried to convince me that my stay for what I was getting was well worth it (her opinion) being that I had no choice but to pay or lose the total I had already put nearly $300, I paid. Got into the room to realize there was absolutely no AC but a small circulating fan luckily it’s not summer opened a few windows notice only 1 out of 5 had a screen. The beds weren’t very comfortable and to top it, all the complementary breakfast was was literally a bagel or a choice between 2-3 cereals. Not even a dining area for that either. There seemed to be a lot of sketchy people wandering at night and was a little worried leaving stuff in the room. This is not a place i recommended anyone unless it’s a very last resort and even still don’t expect much. There was only one staff member there that was helpful. Wi-Fi password wouldn’t connect due to the amount of devices already online. Being on the same block as the beach is probably the only positive thing and that’s me looking for one.

Run down wreck. Tv is impossible to turn on, even the staff couldn’t figure it out! Then at arrival, they demanded $18. More than the Expedia rate. Or you can’t stay. The wall plugs to charge your phone, half didn’t work

No staff on site when you need staff. Just a nightmare

I’m only 71 yrs old, traveled the world. Perhaps there is a worse place to stay. For now, this is number one.

There was for sure no ocean view. The room was very unkept. One of the bathrooms didn’t have a waste basket, toilet paper holder, and there was no bar of soap to even wash your hands with. The shower was dirty. There was soap left over from the previous people who there and it was in horrible shape. I will never stay there again! It was not anything that I expected. It looks really nice online and the pictures look really pretty but it’s total opposite of that. This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my life. When I checked out, I told the woman who takes care of the front desk about how bad the room was and how dirty the shower was and she just shrugged her shoulders and didn’t say a word. Horrible front desk service. This hotel needs to be condemned.

The shower head needed cleaning to improve the flow. Otherwise staff was ver helpful and welcoming. The decor is very appropriate and location is supurb.

Do not book through third party. I was overcharged. Look at the shores site. Half of the pictures on this site aren’t even the hotel I stayed in. Definitely deceiving. You’re not on the beach, but you are in walking distance. Things were questionable here. I think people lived at the hotel…? Very odd vibe. Luckily we were barely there. Wouldn’t go back.

This place was disgusting. The room was nothing like the photo, the water only got to luke warm for our showers, the towels were dingy, the walls were very thin and you could hear every sound. I believe there were people who lived there full time and the staff was rude and completely useless. Then to top it all off one of the beds had bed bugs and we left with bits covering our entire body. We were also over charged and the hotel refused to credit us for the double charge of the “hotel fee.” This place should not even be an option on Expedia it was terrible, disgusting, and completely gross and the staff was rude, unprofessional and awful, they even hung up on my husband when he tried to talk to them about the over charge.
Do not stay here!

Needs an Upgraded hot water system as the water was cold or Luke warm at best plus the bathtub leaked and it was hard to get jacuzzi going and stopping. Beds were way to soft and you could feel the other person move your body when they get in and out if the bed because there was no support. Chairs should be wider and more comfortable. The tv came on in the middle of the night.

This is a horrible property and the owners overcharged for booking on a third party site. In the middle of the night, the battery for fire alarm went dead and caused the unit to trip with ear piercing shrills. The ice machine is dead and seems they have no urgency in providing ice. The room was dirty with sand on the floor. The TP ran out. All the front office gave was lip service. The parking worked. The location wasn't bad.

Walking distance to beach and dining was about the only good thing about this place. The photos shown on Expedia was certainly not the room we were in. The front of the hotel looks like your average budget friendly beach motel but the room we were put in was in a separate building. When we arrived there was a note on the office door to call a #, I called and someone came to help get us checked in. The Lady was very nice and said the room we’re in is a “studio unit”. They “ran out of keys “ so I had to download an app to be able to get in and out of our room. When she took us up to our “studio” I was shocked at the condition of this place! It is clearly in the process of being renovated and was not ready for anyone to stay there!! It was hot (no A/c), smelled like paint and was filthy! The “patio “ fit one chair and the wall was literally rotting away! The bed was up against a window with a broken screen that bugs were flying in from. The bathroom was ok until you saw the shower! An old jacuzzi bathtub with disgusting buildup in all the jets, hair, bugs and a rusty drain and shower head. I couldn’t bring myself to take a shower in there. The bed sheets smelled stale and like paint. Thankfully we were only there for one night on our drive home. This was probably the worst motel we’ve ever stayed at! Absolutely false advertisement!! I would have never booked had I know this is what we were getting! I honestly feel we deserve some sort of refund.

This hotel is horrible. The beds were lumpy. The shower was dirty. It had no fire alarm. The service attendant was rude and not at all helpful. We booked and paid for 4 guests but only received two towels and one shampoo and conditioner. It has no air conditioner and only a noisy fan that you are required to use to ensure room does not get stuffy. The window had no screen so even if we had wanted to open the window to let in a breeze it was not safe to do so. I am very disappointed, especially since this was a birthday trip with my 88 year old mother. Will never stay here again.

I reserved a room because I had to check in at the hospital very early morning and did not want to drive three hours that morning. I drove down after work, arriving late at night, no one was in the lobby and a note was on the door that said Welcome please call phone number. I called several times with no answer and the voice mail was full so unable to leave message. I even text the number. I ended up having to find a different hotel that night. The next day I received a message saying We do apologize. We can give you credit

Parking was an issue. The guest were a bit loud but its basically a party area. Great location! Beach two blocks away. The hotel was a bit run down but had it's charm. My only comlaint was parking and a not so great running toilet, a plugged tub and no A/C. Otherwise friendly staff and great location. don't expect the Marriot, it has an old beach charm to it.

Bad bad bad! Not what its cracked up to be

The place on the app dipicts clean beachfront poperty. There was no keys available for our room so we kept having to borrow the managers key and bring it back to her immediately. It was really run down. No a/c in the room they had a small fan that was plugged in. No towels. We asked the front desk if they had shampoo and conditioner and she opened up a childs apple smelling hair,face and body shampoo and poured it in a clear plastic glass. I had to refund everyones money who came with me as we split it 4 ways. I felt bad and embarrassed as this was a buisness trip we had no view and everyone was loud and the window had no screens and it was so hot in the room but i didnt feel safe enough to leave a window open.

By 5 pm 6 commercal.trucks with10 worker checked in and drank beer in plain sight of office until 11:20.At 4:20 am all guest were woke up them warming up their diesels.people on 2nd were yelling ..At 8:am I told the office I was checking out because my wife and I would not do that 2 nights in a row. The man behind me agreed with everything I said at the office .After 5 days no refund or call from management with apology..

Don’t stay here it’s a joke! This place was awful didn’t even stay 10 min in the room!!!! We left checked out asap .. The pictures online are photoshopped, it’s down the street from the beach pictures show it right on the beach. You walk in the room there’s so many holes in the walls it feels like your being video recorded, they have a cabinet with Ethernet cables falling out probably surveillance for the room . The bed was so stained it was gross.. they won’t refund my money I pre paid, maybe they can use it to buy a new bed and sheets! The bed was as bad as the rest of the place you sink to the floor it’s so old! Pubic hairs in the tub, the little fridge was repaired by “I can do it cheaper” had rust 😬 thought I was gonna get Tetanus. The plug next to the tub in the room is a shock hazard not up to code & broken this place doesn’t take any pride in the upkeep . I should have stuck with my gut instinct and stayed away from this place! Motel 6 looked nicer as I drove off .

An expensive disappointment.

This property had no one at desk to assist with their client needs. Rooms were poorly maintained especially showers. I requested bottom floor due to disabled adults and hotel unable to accommodate. No daily check from housekeeping for any needs.parking was sparse if you went out and returned after 2pm. There free breakfast was a joke!..positive it was by the beach.

I purchased a room with a jacuzzi but got a room with a spa bath. The shower head didn’t work and the knob to turn cold to warm was very hard to turn, I struggled with it. Pictures online do not look like what was booked. Room was about 500 feet from the beach which was great! No room service, no bath essentials. Just a room that hasn’t been updated at all.

I was charged an additional twenty for booking through Expedia. The property managers child was yelling down the hall until midnight when the power went out for the third time. And they finally decided to leave the breaker off which meant no fan or lights. I had to use my phone flashlight in the restroom and shower. Plus it was hot and I sweat all night. Don't stay here, it's not worth it.

We rented two rooms (104 & 220) 1 night.
Upon arriving, the manager asked the housekeeping lady on the balcony if room 220 ready? YES she said.
(ready for WHAT is what we should have asked)

Rm 220: Upon entering room: blonde and red hairs on the mattress. Within the hour we discovered: inoperable shower, dead electrical outlet, faucet leak wets clothes on counter. (My daughter had to come to our room and shower in 104).

since we booked the rooms through Expedia the manager agreed to refund the fee for each room.

For $184 a night, I expected better. There was trash in the parking lot and there seem to be people that are actually living here. Hanging out smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee in the morning and in the evenings. We wanted to open our window because it was stuffy, but there were no screens and people were right outside the window talking. The hotel staff were nice, and the beds were decent. For the price, I would go a bit more inland and probably get a better stay and value for my money.

The photo on Expedia shows the hotel with a beach front which is totally incorrect. It is a worn piece of property several blocks away from the beach. Very deceitful.

The dresser and the chairs looked like worn out garage sale items. I refused to sit in the chair. There was a broken door lying in the hallway next to our door.
The ceilings were cracked as well as walls.
I refused to use the bathroom as the floor was dirty and bath was dirty as well.
The bed may have been clean but didn’t want to chance a good nights sleep.
There was no refund policy as it passed but I still chose to go to another hotel and had a great experience there.

STAY AWAY. This is a terrible place. The room was filthy and had a strange musty odor. There were black marks on the walls, and the bathroom door looked as though someone had tried to cover dirt with paint. The shower temperature control handle fell off. The kitchenette sink faucet was so corroded that water spouted out the side. The mattress cover had 2-3” round brown stains on it I’m concerned that I have bed bugs now despite the place saying they have a rigorous bed bug prevention protocol.

I’ve stayed in some sketchy spots but this takes the award for the worst.

While the hotel itself is in a peaceful and quiet location—just a block from the beach, which was very convenient—my overall experience was disappointing. I had booked a room with a king-size bed, but when I arrived late in the evening, the front desk staff quickly handed me the keys and rushed out, as it was “closing time.”

When my partner and I got to the room, we found it was not what I reserved. Instead of the king bed, we were given a room with a queen bed and a shower placed inside a hot tub/jacuzzi setup right next to the bed, with no privacy. My partner has knee and back issues and couldn’t safely access the shower, and we both had trouble sleeping in the smaller bed. It felt like we were just given what was left for the night, which is incredibly frustrating considering we paid in advance for something else.

We tried to resolve the issue through Expedia, but the hotel was unreachable, which made the situation worse. I would have appreciated honesty and the opportunity to make a choice when we arrived—rather than being rushed through check-in with no explanation.

The location is nice, but the lack of communication and failure to honor the reservation left a bad impression.

The title and discription is misleading. There are no 'beach cottages' and the image used for 'beach front view' is approx 2 blocks away. The picture of the 'breakfast' is misleading: no waffle iron ... and according to front desk ... not for a long time ... not just recent OOS. I chose this property because of the beachfront and waffle breakfast! And when asked about the promotiom picture, breakfast pic, pic of the beach and 'cottages', the reception guy was rude, the guy says 'dude-you're at the beach'. Not really ... Plus the dozen-ish ppl in adjacent public pkg lot in evening either doing drugs or an AA meeting. Security car watching. Had trouble sleeping... something biting at my legs in the bed ... maybe sand fleas from my walk on the sand ...? I described the Shore and Cottages beach pic to receptionist at another hotel on the beach.. she said they often get guest arrivals mistaking their property for Shore. This has been going on for some time. Expedia is partly responsible. Needs to monitor its listings. I am a frequent, easy traveler.

Not what was advertised on the internet. Photo was not even close to what the room was like. Front desk staff was great. Room and overall site was questionable. A lot of transients in the property. Wife did not feel safe.

Don't stay here! We booked online and arrived at Reception a few hours later only to decide NOT to stay based on: its dirty (must sign a bed bug waiver); the rooms are not on the beach (2 blocks away); a \"lady of the night\" was out front trying to book a room/borrow a phone; there were fees that were not disclosed on the booking app; we were not allowed to speak with a manager when we asked to; etc. We have stayed in some pretty rough places but this was too much and we decided to lose the money rather than stay here. You have been warned! (Also, they tried to convince us to upgrade to the beachfront 3-bedroom house for an additional fee, which we also declined).

It was fine if you just want to sleep. No A/C which you don’t necessarily need. No fridge which I did need. Overall, it was fine to simply sleep there.

Lovely vintage motel by the beach within walking distance to different dining options. Motel was clean, staff kind & courteous. Loved the fluffy pillows and soft bedding. Pleased with our stay. Would definitely come back.

This hotel was a dump, smelled bad, no air conditioning, beds were uncomfortable, shwets were like sand paper, the motel worker fired up his loud sports car right outside my room late at night, worst place i ever stayed
