This motel is just one and a half blocks from the beach, 1. 6 km from Ventura Harbour, 13 km from Channel Islands Harbour, and is surrounded by every type of restaurant imaginable.

Founded in 1962 in Santa Barbara, California, the hotel chain is synonymous with great travel value. The first hotel in Santa Barbara still carries the torch today, but a lot has changed for the motel chain that pioneered the first real economy motel designed for the no-frills traveller.

The air-conditioned hotel welcomes guests in a lobby. Basic room amenities include an en suite bathroom with a shower, double bed, direct dial telephone, TV, radio and wireless Internet is available in select rooms for a nominal fee.

I had a very comfortable stay. All was very clean. Check in was pleasant and there are so many places nearby to suit your needs. The freeway is very close, for wherever you need to go. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

The a/c wasn’t working
I had to move my room after checking in I asked if they could change to double bed for inconvenience , rude and told me nothing can happen bc it’s hotels.com booking. The shower had dirt on bottom I had to wash off. And the towels had stains on them. Totally get what you pay for

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. They held onto my luggage after check out as I did not have a vehicle there. Everyone very pleasant. Was close to beach and city with many restaurants and options walkable.

Was charged 30$ for a guest who came at my previous stay. I was unaware and sleeping when the person came in the morning an the person did not stay the night there and was still charged 30$ will not b staying there again.

Ac was struggling shower was struggling. Ordered a king and got one maybe queen. Only one human sized towel. Tv is whack no channels. Pool is cold out by the street. All amenities at the front desk area very far away. Weird activity at night. Not a safe feeling. Parking lot kinda weird and cracky. The people hanging out. No security. Over priced no coffee machine in the room. Only good thing might be the ability to subsist for a night so you can rush home the next day. At least the water was warm. The bed was hard and soft squishing on one side. There was only cold white overhead light. This was a disaster. Glad I brought my own blanket and pillow. Found dirty curly pubes on the sheets. Just deplorable.

I would never recommend this motel 6 to anyone. First off there shampoo, soap, hair dryer, coffee maker. Beverage machine was broken, when I went to go to the office to ask for shampoo and soap the attendant was rude and said there was no soap or shampoo. This place only wants your money and could care less if your stay was good. I can’t proof it but one hour after we checked out we got an alert from our bank and was told someone was trying to use our credit card and this was the only place I used my card. They should give us a total credit refund because this motel is operated poorly and by bad management. Even when we got there to check in there was a bad disturbance and the police were in the parking lot looking for the people causing the problem. The location for this property was the only thing that was great. Closed to the Ventura Pier and the fairgrounds. The one Quyen size bed room has a decent size and cleaned. The amenities is a meh. No in-room coffee maker or shampoo/conditioner or b body shops. They provided 2 small bars of soap and that was it. For the rate that this place demands, only mediocre coffee was offered at the front desk

The cable TV was not good. The way to access the TV guide was to turn the TV off and turn it back on. Then the guide did not show all of the channels that were available. I did not find this out until the last day. Very frustrating. This needs to be fixed. Also, the hot water in the shower was hard to access. The faucet handle had to be in the exact location to get hot water. This was room no. 107. I have stayed here many times and have not had these problems previously.

I'm a senior adult and I was actually a little worried about the area at first but I think it was fine in the end. The building needs some refreshing as far as the structure goes. Interior was fine for the reputation that motel 6 has. Lots of working class people, should have better options.

I booked room for 5 people. The rooms are small and did not accommodate us. It may accommodate 2 adults and 3 small children but in my case it was 2 adults with 3 teens. We had to get an wxtra room upon arrival. Overall good for its price and clean.

The room had a weird smell coming from the AC exhaust, the toilet wouldn’t flush even toilet tissue properly. What prompted this review though was the fact that there was someone else’s hair everywhere in the room. On the floor, and only really noticed it after I showered and dried off with the hotel towel. Gross, I had foreign hairs all over my body. Absolutely disgusting.

I had a very disappointing experience at Motel 6 Ventura Beach. The AC in my room was not working, so I went to the front desk to request a room change. Unfortunately, the receptionist closed the office door in front of me without responding and put up a “shift change” sign while I was standing there.

I waited for about 20 minutes, and when he finally opened the door, he spoke very rudely and was not helpful at all. There was no apology, no professionalism, and no concern for the inconvenience caused.

Overall, this was one of the worst stays I have experienced. Basic hospitality and respectful communication were completely lacking. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves customer service for future guests.

I wouldn't stay here again.. Was just passing through with my pup heading to Santa Cruz... Decided to stop for the night.

Good customer service, close to beach, cheap...

But man, the rooms suck, the beds are uncomfy, the shower is torn up and moldy by the shower head and I was lucky enough to have some crack heads above me - making damn forts, playing musical chairs, and tap dancing all night. We couldn't sleep it wasnt quiet at all.

The guy at the counter was nice tho.

The room was very clean. My puppy spilt his water. I cleaned it up with a white towel and the towel was still white. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was great. Programming on tv is very limited but I didn’t mind. Staff was wonderful. I stayed 2 nights. McDonald’s is right next door Wienerschnitzel across the street. Short walk to the beach.

I was sexually harassed by workers that were guests. They sat outside of their rooms drinking and drunk until well over 130am. Then again waking every one up at 5am to leave for work. Manager was of no help and basically didn’t care. Shower is nasty and chipped all over. The rooms smells old and dirty. Stain on bed sheets, toilet would not flush right, floors were not mopped. Homeless pulling carts in front of rooms all night. No one cleans up the dog feces. I recommend to stay elsewhere
