The check in experience was a little frustrating because when walking the attendant automatically said sold out but we had reservations. The room was really small. But we made the best of it.

The location is great but that’s where that ends. The hotel in under construction and is loud and dirty. But I am guessing this is for good reason as we stayed in a room the smelled like wet socks and the carpet was discusting! We had to wear our shoes in the room and even the shoes would stick to the floor. The staff was nice and answered all of our questions but in this price range I would look elsewhere until they finish the remodel.

I will say the room was really clean including the bathroom. The place is not in the best of neighborhoods, meaning it's not the worst neighborhood I've been in but not like you will see a Starbucks or anything upscale. I felt safe, basically I was only there to shower and sleep. I had someone with me so I felt safer. The hotel could use some updates, paint, newer curtains but I was surprised how clean my room was and the bathroom was actually spotless. No stains on the curtains either. The check in people were very nice and all smiles which I liked. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were really white. I inspected everything and still did a bleach wipe down but I would do this even at a 5 star hotel. I would stay again because of the cleanliness. I'd rather stay in a clean place than something upscale that is filthy. Check out was great too and I will say Expedia charges you the exact price and I was happy about that because other sites put a $200 or $300 hold on your card so I will be using Expedia from now on.

We arrived at the hotel only to find that they had no record of my reservation. My Expedia confirmation number was apparently linked to another person's reservation for the night before. The staff was incredibly rude to my husband and myself, could not accommodate us because they had nothing available and had charged my credit card for someone else's reservation. I am now working on getting the credit for the charges they processed. I am very upset that they charged my credit card without even looking at the name which obviously didn't match the name on the reservation.

Dont go. Stayed here 4 nights for business. Saw the security guard asleep in the lobby on two of these. Staff is cooking their meals there with something that keeps the entire first floor smelling horribly. Cleaning crew keeps their carts in the hallway 24/7, while sitting in the rooms playing on their phones. Rooms need to be remodeled as there is paint coming off the walls and ceilings. Lastly, its in a commercial neighborhood, making it a long walk to food and entertainment.

The rooms were small but clean; the service was good quality. The hotel doesn't have many amenities but that's fine because it was inexpensive. The neighborhood isn't the most scenic, but the hotel is about a half mile walk to the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station. There were only about twelve parking spaces but there seemed to be ample street parking regardless.

My fiancé came from Maryland we booked this hotel because it is close to my elderly mom & we thought it would be nice. The 1st night we stayed was ok the 2nd night the fire alarm continued to go off with no explanation as to why ultimately through the night it continued to go off.
Needless to say my fiancé did not get any sleep & she had an early morning departure. We booked another weekend a large laundry truck tried entering the small narrow parking lot even though there is a street entrance ultimately the truck broke down preventing anyone with a vehicle from exiting. There are guest there that smoke in the rooms and our room smelled strongly of smoke & neither of us smoke we complained to the front desk with no result it appears that this hotel is also a shelter for the homeless if that is the case we should not pay almost $500 for 2 nights & be ushered out at 11am. Both nights the smoke was unbearable then someone kept slamming a door right outside our room continuously then there were fire trucks called to the hotel & again if you don't ask they don't tell you what is going on apparently someone burned something in the hotel one of the hotel permanent guests. by far this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

I was there for 2 nights. after the first night i was informed that i needed to give them my credit card information for the second night or i would have to leave. after a heated discussion and the fact that i was not in the room at the time and would have to return from my location they were able to use the information i provided when i booked. When I went to check out they said i owed them money for the second night. I had booked this with a debit from my bank account and was able to show them at the desk that it was paid for. the experience was very unnerving. the free breakfast was all poor quality foods that was produced in a overall poor manor. room was not cleaned after during the stay. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

As close as you can get to Coney Island
A.short walk through a dingy industrial area and there you are... Coney island, the rides, the beach, the boardwalk. Couldn't find any place closer. Clean and updated, great breakfast, helpful staff. Adequate security. If you don't want to walk past a few auto shops, take a five dollar cab. But we found the walk interesting enough. Brighton Beach just another half mile down the boardwalk. Subway station not too far. Hey, it's New Yor City. . What the heck.

really small hotel room. Not the cleanest rooms. Rates are high for what you get.. It is about .8 of a mile walk to Coney Island. Industrial neighborhood. hardly any parking. Staff was OK. took photo copy of my credit card. My credit card was compromised the same week.. Shady English is second language. Enjoy!

It was really nice. Front desk was very efficient and friendly. Security and Housekeeping as well. Rooms are small but very clean. Sound proofed, didn't hear nextdoor neighbor considering how small the room is. The only hotel that is less than a mile to Luna Park, Coney Island boardwalk and NY Aquarium. B64 bus will take you to the center of it all in 5 minutes. Just check on the bus time because it has a longer gap of service than regular busses.

Sleep Inn in the city that never sleeps
This is an excellent base for a family trip to New York City. The hotel is a very short walk away from a subway station. It is a very short drive from the Coney Island amusement park and Aquarium. You can go exploring new \"hip\" neighborhoods of Brooklyn like DUMBO, Williamsburg. Hotel has safe and convenient off the street parking. Free breakfast would get you going for the new adventures every morning.

THE HOTEL IS GOOD, ALSO IS CLOSER TO THE CONEY ISLAND BEACH & AMUSEMENT PARK ON THE BOARD WALK. JUST WISH THERE PILLOW WERE MUCH FIRM & THAT THEY HAD A SMALL POOL AT LEAST FOR KIDS. LOVE THE BREAKFAST & THE COFFEE WAS AWESOME PERFECT MADE SPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE KIDS, I NEED IT THAT COFFEE. TV,WIFI & AIR CONDITIONER WAS EXCELLENT. I booked this hotel on very short notice for the Friday of New Year's Eve in New York City. Needless to say, there weren't many rooms to choose from at a reasonable price. I looked at the Sleepin on Coney and saw that it was only 2 stars but I figured it was only 1 night so we could deal with whatever happened.
I have come to the conclusion that this hotel is definitely more than 2 stars. There is Free parking in a safe lot behind the hotel, very clean rooms, a wonderfully soft bed, Free Wi-Fi, and a breakfast bar that included the chance to make your own fresh Belgian waffle or eggs. If this wasn't enough, the staff was very nice too! This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in a long time.

I am super disappointed in room: its dirty and nasty. I took photos to show at the lobby. Mirror is dirty with white strike of tooth paste, carpet haven't been vacuumed, dust everywhere... small room and not comfortable I won't stay there again.
