I absolutely enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I’m a New Yorker who moved out of state but travels back to NY ever so often for work and friends. I’ve stayed at other badly managed properties but was very happy to see that this hotel was very clean with nice decor, lots of outlets and a comfortable bed. The housekeepers and staff were all friendly and helpful. I did notice that parking in the back was very limited and tight, luckily I got the last spot when I checked in. I will definitely be booking this hotel during my next visits to NY. Thanks Glo staff and Expedia!

This place is excellent except for the parking situation. On Expedia they say there is parking but there were only 7-8 spots available for the whole hotel. Having a rental car, this information is misleading. In the end, I lucked out with a handicapped spot after some concerned people exchanges with management

The Staff are the best. I had been in many hotels in the last 2 years in NY and the staff ( front desk specially) in this hotel by far are the best, they are amazing.

Not a great neighborhood but it is directly across from the police station so we felt very safe. Not a neighborhood you want to be wandering around in at night. But then not many big cities are walkable all night either. The rate was good for the area and the manager was beyond sweet and helpful with us considering our flights were cancelled and we were reluctant tourists of NYC that were supposed to be in Portugal instead! Clean rooms. No hot breakfast they only had to go bags with bagels and yogurt and other goodies to go. Basic continental. Upside of that is when you sleep in and mix breakfast because of your late check in you still get it back to go at 11 o’clock! 😂

The front desk staff was super nice and my room was really clean. However, my room was in the basement with really no window. It was 58 degrees when I got in there. The free breakfast was non existent! No coffee, no access to a water cooler. The gym was closed even though it was supposed to be open. (I think fresh water was in there, behind the forever locked door.) and the neighborhood around this hotel isn’t great. Very little worth walking to and no real restaurants within 5 or so blocks.

We really liked the management but felt that the cleanliness of the hotel was not up to par. We also felt like the amenities in room weren't replenished and the workout room is still closed.

The hotel room is small but clean. There is only limited street parking near the hotel. But the biggest problem is the noise. 1-2am in the morning, someone was yelling loudly in the hallway and 3 or 4 am, there was a lot of noise right outside the window. I probably slept less than 3 hours and that was not pleasant.

I picked GLo because it was close to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, a $20 cab ride away, relatively affordable & a Best Western property. Very short on amenities (tiny room, no restaurant or even a room frig & my Norton disabled the wifi) the staff was very helpful & there were delis, a post office & laundry within a few blocks. NYPD's 72nd precinct is next door but only 7 small parking spaces on the premises. Overnight free parking on 4th Ave is pretty easy but otherwise its NYC. Very good for 1-2 days.

It's right next to a police huh, so I felt safe. There is a gas station right across the street, so that was convenient. The room was very small, our bed was supposed to be a queen, but it was barely the size of a normal full size and the fold out \"sofa\" was more like a chair as it was only twin size. Totally worth the money you pay for your stay!!! There’s a parking lot on the backyard of the hotel, it has a charger for electric cars. You cannot reserve a spot though, if there’s one you get it. Street parking was easy as well!

I felt real safe walking the area, because The NYPD 72nd Precinct is right next to the Hotel. It’s not too many tourist, and it’s a very low-key part of Brooklyn that even most Brooklynites don’t even know about. I will definitely be returning back to this real cool Hotel.

I was late for work in the morning when I tried to check out because no one was at the front desk for over 45 minutes , the problem was they let someone from Nebraska park in the NO PARKING SPOT in the back blocking my car in. When someone finally arrived he was nothing but rude and nasty and said he is human too that he needs to sleep also. They did not care at all I was late for work by over a hour and DID NOTHING to accommodate me , later when calling Glo to speak to the manager he hung up on me like it wasn’t a big deal.

Our check-in was fairly smooth until it came time to receive very mumbled, rapid-fire instructions from the front desk. We honestly had a very difficult time making out anything that was said, with the exception of the directions to our room and what time a drink and granola bar would be available to us at the front desk, for \"breakfast.\" We arrived at our room and before settling in, I was sure to fully inspect all sheets, pillows, and pillowcases, only to find hair that appeared to be both from someone's head as well as, pubic hair. I also found one pillow to be stained with blood, which I quickly removed from the bed. The sheets appeared to be mostly clean. I also noticed the appearance of grease on the desk in the room. The room was very small, though good enough for our one-night stay. There were two windows with adjustable blinds but only light in the entrance, a light in the bathroom, and two very dim lights in the bed area. It was difficult to see much because of this. We headed out to our concert and had a great time. Upon arriving back at the hotel, at around 1 am, we quietly headed to our room and went to bed. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any sleep. From the time we arrived, until 9 am, which was the time our alarm was set for, the noise and chaos in the halls and other rooms, was non-stop. I heard everything from constant yelling, drunk and belligerent laughter and running, televisions at full volume, and loud music. I won't ever stay here again, sadly.

Nice size rooms, only complaint is there’s no fridge in the rooms, the floors are hardwood, and the door to the bathroom leaves a huge gap when you close it (so if your showering and someone walks into the room they can see you thru the gap) other than that the property location feels safe with a police precinct right across the street. Also they don’t charge an incidental fee like other hotels they just ask for a card to place on file.

The bathroom was updated for a modern look. Loved the big shower. Free parking was a plus. But limited to 8 parking places, first come first serve. My only real cons are there were no coffee cups in the room, just plastic water cups, and the area the hotel is in didn't have many walkable dining options. Plan to do door dash.

Only thing that didn't make me comfortable was having to constantly approach someone to fetch my stuff from the fridge, and having to wait on them if they are not at the front desk. My suggestion is they include breakfast, and monitor people who come in the communal area. That would do well.

The hotel is nice! Definitely great for one night. Only issue is we requested a late check out which was granted but housekeeping still knocked on our door in the morning. We even had the Do Not Disturb sign on our door which made their interruption very annoying.

We stayed there because there was a gym, on-site parking & breakfast. There was no spots available for parking (6 total on-site), the breakfast was a bag with a yogurt, apple and bags of cookies and the gym was closed with no communication.
The room was FREEZING, our second day our room wasn't cleaned until 6pm after we called at 3pm. There was no hot water for longer than 5 minutes, and once it was cold it didn't heat up again.

The building, the staff, and the room itself was nice. Not great, but not bad. My 3rd floor room overlooked noisy 4th avenue, and the windows had very little sound insulation. The traffic noise was bad enough, but directly across 30th street was a NY City Police station and fleet repair facility. This is where the install and test sirens- sometimes as early as 5am. Then I was told there was breakfact. The breakfast room look promising with coffee machines and chafing dishes. But in the morning there was no food to be found. I went to the front desk to inquire, and they handed me a paper bad with airplane like snacks. There's little reason for me to return to this hotel before trying others. Sorry.

Don't fall for the parking trap. If you don't show up early, the garage will be filled. Maybe call ahead. I found street parking a block away, luckily it wasn't too cold and no precipitation was falling. Most importantly, there was no hot water in the morning. I had to take an Ice cold shower. They said to \"turn on all the water and it will come\" but it never really did. It got slightly less cold enough for me to quickly rinse off most of the soap I was covered in.

I’ve stayed in a lot of different hotels, especially before COVID. I’ve been apprehensive about staying in hotels since, but have had to stay in some anyway for various reasons. The GLO Best Western was by far the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in before and during COVID! The room was clean and welcoming.
The staff was also very friendly and helpful when we needed anything.

The staff was helpful and should not be a reflection of my below average review. I am more concerned on how it advertises itself. There are roughly 8 parking spots in a courtyard that is first come first served and should not be advertised as parking available. Area is not ideal and walking around at midnight for a parking spot was not safe. While I was checking in, there were another 2 people with similar concern.

While they only have 10 parking spaces for 80 rooms, if you are lucky enough to get one, great. If their parking is full, they are in a area with a lot of side street residential parking. We stayed 4 nights and I used street parking for the first night before a spot opened. Walking distance to Greenwood Cemetery and plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

The biggest drawback about this hotel is that the rooms only have a huge tv, bed and nightstands. There is no desk, credenza, or CHAIRS. If you want to eat in your room, you are eating on the bed. If you want to hang out, you are sitting on the bed. Our old backs did not like sitting for extend period of time on the bed. There is also not a lot of room to unpack things. There are very few flat surfaces or drawers to use. The bathroom also was lacking in flat surfaces.
The thing that really annoyed me was that the hot water ran out during my shower! I complained and the front desk said to run both the sink and shower. I should not have to Jerri rig my hot water.

Super low budget - Instead of a hot breakfast (like Marriot) we received brown paper bags of chips, process food, orange juice and water bottle for breakfast. Nice location, the room could have been cleaner (finger prints on headboard and TV mount). Likely will not stay at this location again.
