Friendly desk staff. Good location. Good complimentary breakfast with different options. No in-room coffee maker, but the breakfast opens at 7am. The room was small with no closet. It needed some pegs for hanging clothes, a small shelf in the bathroom for toiletry items, and a light for the small \"desk\" area. But overall, a nice little hotel and a comfortable stay. I expect to return.

Please invest in ironing boards and irons if you are operating in an area likely to invite business visitors. Would be nice to have the TV work and not be hanging on top of the already tiny desk space. No kettle, tea, or coffee in the room. Despite two calls, no wake-up call? Was advised cleaning is done every third day? No amount of sweet-talking staff makes up for lacking comforts.

The room was clean and had a nice style/decor. However the room I got was certainly small and unfortunately faced inside (into a shaft) so it was dark, not much by way of natural light! Staff were all courteous, pleasant. Be aware the free breakfast that comes with the rate is merely only Continental. One of the hotel pics features what looks like a buffet station but that is completely misleading! So, I expected eggs and other hot items but that is not at all the case.

We LOVED our stay at FIDI NYC! The front desk workers were all professional, nice and very helpful! The hotel rooms and all areas were very clean! The hotel provided a warm, elegant atmosphere (during happy hour) to meet and connect with other guests while enjoying cheese, crackers and wine; (or you could just enjoy that time with your family &/friends)! That area also have a nice balcony view too! Lastly, every staff member was awesome, and we felt safe and secure during our stay! We look forward in staying here again!

The rooms were not at all what was pictured on the site. Payed for a room with separate sitting area and pull out couch bed and got one king bed room with not even a chair I. It and barely any room to walk around bed. Parking is hard to find as well. When I brought my room situation to the employees attention she gave me some excuse that made no sense and made no effort to fix the problem. This left my third party with nowhere to sleep except the floor because myself, my baby, and partner were occupying the bed. I booked the specific room to ensure privacy for my family as well as my friend. I also booked a room with adequate sleeping arrangements but did not receive what I booked and paid for. Rude front desk lady in evening better service and attitude from morning attendant. Not for families or parties this hotel caters to business travelers in the financial district and that's about it.

Very small rooms, AC/heater has not been cleaned and do not work properly ( You can get sick because of a/c). We reached hotel at 3:45pm and check in time was at 3:00pm but the room was still not ready and they could not even give a time to check in. Would not recommend for a comfortable stay.

The hotel itself was nice and near subway station. The front desk was courteous and helpful. They had evening wine and crackers every day but you had to go early if you wanted to crab some of that cheese and crackers. The reasons I deducted a star was the breakfast (lots of pastries and sweets but no eggs or warm meals); and the housekeeper didn’t make up the room then once I notified the desk they sent her to do it but was already late so we asked just for some clean towels but one had a black hair on it and another was torn. Had some higher expectations considering the price we paid.

I am honestly not one to leave reviews, but I had to because my fiancé and I had such an amazing experience with this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming from check in to check out. The area felt safe with a nice bar right across the street and a subway station conveniently steps away. The room felt clean and comfortable and there was not a ton of noise keeping us up. We both agreed that we would definitely stay here again if ever in NYC. Thanks for a great experience!

Courteous and very friendly staff. Though little expensive than expected for a basic stay but its within the financial district. very much a comfortable stay with neat and clean rooms. Moved us to a bigger and spacious room as the bathroom door needed fixing. Traveling as a tourist to different places and routes was super easy.
Expedia charges the destination fee of 25 USD per night plus tax separately which is a lot and springs a surprise if not noted early.

“Destination fee of $29.99 per night was not clearly communicated until we arrived at the hotel. Even the superior king was quite small with a tiny closet and no drawers. Other than that the room was clean, the maids and front desk staff were excellent. The Whitehall subway stop is at the end of the block with other options a 10-15 minute walk. Many dining choices in the neighborhood and a variety of cultural opportunities and shopping from high (Printemps) to low (Centery 21).

My room - a deluxe King - was tiny and, save for the bed (which was comfortable but definitely not a king-size), functionally useless. I get that it is New York - I lived there for 10 years and understand that all accommodations are necessarily compact. The problem was that nothing was done to make it useful. There was no closet, no hangers (!), no iron... not even a coat hook. The desk was about 2 feet long and 8\" wide, with its surface entirely taken up with what amenities there were (an alarm clock, a phone, some tissues), so in the morning when I needed to do some work, I had to sit on the bed. I left stressed and rumpled (again, no iron, no hangers, no coat hook....). Overall, the room did its job, but I would never return.

The hotel itself is very average all around, which is fine. Unfortunately the service left much to be desired.

I had to cut my trip short due to an unforeseen event and I asked the management if it was possible to grant some type of credit (not even a refund) for the days in my reservation I was going to have to forfeit. The manager was extremely dismissive and rude in declining to provide any type of solution.

For a hotel which is already very average the service makes all the difference. This hotel does not pass that test.

Hotel room was very limited. Lacked storage space, hooks to hang items, no robes. We didn't have a luggage tray or section. I asked for extra towels, ice and tissues and it was never delivered. Phone in room didn't work. \"Happy hour\" on 2nd floor was only available Mon thru Fri and it was uneventful...limited wine selection. However the attendant was very lovely (she's Dominicana). The executive suite should've offered additional amenities. The bed seemed liked it ready for an upgrade since it squeaked. The front reception team was just OK...I guess I just expected more for the location and ambiance.

This hotel was very accommodating, clean, and located in a safe area. I loved the architecture around it. If I needed to go to Upper Manhattan, I would just hop on the subway and get there easily. The Financial District is tucked away in Lower Manhattan, but it’s close to the Brooklyn Bridge—perfect for a walk—and also close to the Staten Island Ferry, which is free.
Overall, if most of your plans are in Upper Manhattan, staying in FiDi may not be ideal, but it’s a great option for the price.

Also they have complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese hour.

The room was modern & clean. The front desk attendant was very polite. Positives were the evening wine, room cleaning service and location. Negatives were the breakfast could have had more variety (different flavors oatmeal, coffee creamer available, maybe cereal) the breakfast was basically out by the time we got there at 9:30 to eat. My husband booked a room for 3 we had our daughter with us and beware the hotel only sleeps two. They did not have any rollout beds or cots. Lastly surprised by an additional destination fee once we got there.. I thought all fees were paid now when you book things online.
