The staff was extremely nice, the room was also nice and clean when we arrived. My only complaint is the hidden fees they charge you a “resort fee” that isn’t included in the initial payment and the amenities of the hotel aren’t that great. So don’t expect your deposit back because it’s ate up by hidden fees.

The room was great. The staff was courteous but my husband did go down with a question and was totally ignored. He waited quite a long time and no one ever even said we will be with you shortly. He finally just came back to the room.
I also feel like charging me the amenity fee and saying it was included in my confirmation was not right. It should be included in your total so there are no surprises .

I don't even know were to start .This suppose to be 4 star hotel, BUT ITS NOT !!!!!.
We arrived pretty late its a very small , narrow hotel , we checked in ok, went to the room, the room was freezing 60 degrees .we put on the heating or we thought we did and we woke up many times middle of the nights trying to do rise the temperature of the room, nothing worked , we rang reception at 6 am saying its so cold in the room we cant do this (outside was cold too 29 F degrees ) they told me they gonna send someone up soon, the technician will start soon, I was waiting 2-3 hours - nothing. I went to the reception i was like guys come on I have to wear jacket in the room,the guys came over few hours later saying he needs to reset the system cos its not working. The general manager previously told me she went into the room and said i had it on the wrong setting - which was a lie! Next morning at the reception all staff was wearing winter jackets and hats, and the bartender just told us ,, oh we have heating problems for the past week- which means GM was lying to us!!nice. We paid nearly 3000 dollars for 3 nights and was horrible ,we wanted go to the bar on the roof top 2 nights in a row and was closed for private event , bar downstairs was closed too ha ha, We got a flu from sleeping in the cold, we asked reception for cup of hot water to mix the medicine in- they said they cant do it - i mean what 4 star hotel cant do hot water ?and the last the gym- please don't call that gym-

It's a nice room and the staff are great. However, the breakfast that came with my reservation was peopled by one person doing everything - it took forever and the service, despite the effort, was terrible.
Checking out was even worse - checkout is at 11 but we were locked out of the room at 10:30 and couldn't get in after 3 trips to the front desk. It was finally fixed and the housekeeping staff were very kind but this is ridiculous for any hotel.

The rooms are tiny in this hotel. I hit my head on the shower head. Only one side of the bed has a bedside table. There is no closet. No way to open a large suitcase by the floor. One person could be fine in this but very tough with 2. Good housekeeping and air conditioning though.

The location was fantastic! However, when checking in, we discovered that the room type we had requested was unavailable. This was unfortunate and disappointing. Additionally, we were not informed about an ongoing event that would have significantly impacted our stay. Unfortunately, this event restricted us from using the rooftop/lounge area, which was a major disappointment considering it was our first time exploring NYC. This oversight made us feel like we had been taken advantage of regarding the hotel’s amenities.

Location was absolutely ideal for us. We loved being able to leave the chaos of the city but still have easy access, it was about 5 min walk to Wall Street subway stations. Walking distance to several piers was a bonus we weren't expecting.
As with all hotels in New York, beware that the room is SMALL. You definitely want to be comfortable with someone if sharing a room with them as you will have no privacy and you will be sharing every bit of the space. If you have more than one big suitcase between you plus cabin luggage you will struggle.
I paid for a premium / high rise view but we were looking directly into an office building opposite us so I wouldn't pay extra for that next time.
The lifts can be slow on the weekends as the general public can access the rooftop bar (if you're used to London rooftop bars don't expect the same here, it's a very small space and limited seating options). They do give you a credit for the rooftop as part of your destination fee, but beware you may not be able to use it. We tried and were told they couldn't do this so our credit just went to waste and we ended up paying full for our drinks.
Staff were friendly and helpful when we had queries. They also were able to hold our bags free of charge when we had time to kill before our flights.
Overall a decent stay, would stay here again purely based on the location and cleanliness of the hotel.

Mixed thoughts on our stay

Clean room - a bit smaller than we typically experience, but this could be due to the location. We paid for our stay in advance and upon arrival had to pay a $35 additional convenience fee (not sure why this wasn’t part of the price online) which included 2 bottles of spring water. There was no declining and it felt a bit dishonest.
Rooftop bar was nice and location was fantastic being able to walk to places we wanted to go.

The rooms are -very- small and poorly designed. There is a desk without any working outlets. The bathroom has no shelves inside the shower to place any soaps, shampoos, etc. There is a small hanging closet but no drawers for clothing — even in our upgraded room.

Nicole was super welcoming. The area is under a bit of construction, but not noticeable once inside. The room had everything we needed in small quarters. Weird they didnt give that info upon check in. ALSO this is probably worse, but in less you like to wait 10+ minutes for an elevator don’t stay here. I waited over 10 minutes (no exaggeration) for the elevator to come to my floor…

My wife and I take frequent trips to NYC and often stay the night. In the past we have stayed at the Hotel Indigo on the Lower East Side as well as the Hotel Indigo Wall Street. We made reservations to stay at the Wall Street site as in the past, our experience was very positive. Prior to the event we were attending, I dropped off a bag as we were too early for check in. Upon returning for check in, we were advised by the hotel representative that there was an additional amenity fee. Really? When booking the reservation, there was no mention of this at all on the hotels.com website. As a matter of fact, upon returning home, I checked the site for future travel; and when a rate was quoted, a balloon appeared stating that there were no additional fees. We were advised by the hotel rep the fee applied because we booked through a third party (hotels.com). Now $30 is certainly not a big deal, but clearly there was no mention of this prior to booking. If so, I probably would have booked a different property. The only a amenity we were able to take advantage of us was 2 bottles of water.
So we check ii and I presented a claim ticket for the bag. Ten minute wait to retrieve the bag! But it gets better. We go our assigned room, open the door and there is luggage, an unmade bed and wet towels on the floor. Back to the lobby and the hotel rep responds\" we can that luggage right out of there\". No thanks, we'll take another room. Decent room, but poor customer service.

We honestly love staying at this location in NYC! Everything you need is all in walkable distance and the surrounding area is quiet and feels safe. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day, and your sleep is not interrupted at all by outside noise or lighting.

Solid Nights’ Sleep in Manhattan

Hotel Indigo exceeded my expectations in all the areas that are nonnegotiable for me:
quiet, comfortable bed, good shower, ability to adjust the temperature to a comfortable level. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. It’s not always easy to get a great night’s sleep in Manhattan, but the Indigo made that happen four nights in a row!

I am a reqards member and I was disappointed that there was no genersl microwave. We had food with us and could re heat it. Then someone walked in on me and my man which was crazy. Rhe BIGGEST issue is no Wi-Fi service on your phone. Even with the connection nobody was able to reach me.
