I travel for work and stay in hotels frequently, so I generally have reasonable expectations, especially in smaller towns. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The room door lock did not work, leaving only the manual latch for security. The bedding had a large brown stain on the comforter and was covered with long black hairs, making it clear the room had not been properly cleaned. The bathroom walls had dark stains, there was visible dust throughout the room, and debris in the corners suggested the room had not been vacuumed. Because of the condition of the room, I ended up sleeping on the couch in my clothes and shoes.

The problems continued the next morning when a hotel employee entered my room without permission, despite the Do Not Disturb sign being displayed. The explanation was that they thought I had checked out, but no effort had been made to verify that before entering. Combined with the broken lock, poor cleanliness, lack of staff availability when I tried to report the issues, and excessive noise throughout the night, this stay raised serious concerns about the property's maintenance, cleanliness, and management. I would not recommend staying here.

Security doors were ducked taped open so anyone off the street could enter. The Security lights in parking lot were out; we informed the staff - they were not replaced by the time we left. We stayed 8 days for a funeral and extended visit with relatives - it was made known upon check in that there would be no room service unless we removed all our belongings. We had to bring used towels down to receive new ones and clear out our own garbage. Staff complained when asked to service us, so we purchased toilet paper, Kleenex, Lysol spray, new towels for our stay at the local Walmart. The hallway rugs need to be replaced; the rooms and accommodations were filthy. We will not stay at this comfort inn again and will inform family and friend about the conditions. - New Management is warranted.

This was on no part of Expedia. The hotel from what pictures they have provided are false. This hotel is absolutely disgusting, the owner refused to give a refund for cleaning the toilet in our room, along with dried toothpaste in the sink. While I do know people can locally rent out rooms like an apartment, it almost seemed like we got someones permanent (for the time being) room because of the things that were “visibly” dirty. Just called it a “wash” with already having the room paid. Went and reserved a room same day at the Best Western in Norwalk, very nice there!!

Was a very odd hotel. The people that run it live in the hotel. There were still dirty towels on our room upon arrival. Hotel was dirty and the outside doors were always open because they had duck tape on the latches so they never locked . That’s not safe! They had no cleaning staff. We had to bring our dirty stuff down when we left. Our toilet didn’t work and still didn’t move us. Just a very strange experience!!

I had to ring the desk bell four times and finally yell to get someone to check us in. The guy at the front desk gave us a list of does and don’ts. One of the don’ts was that we couldn’t leave key card in our room when we checked out or they would charge us. They DIDN’T clean our room either day, not even fresh towels. They threatened to fine us $20 if we brought pool towels back to our room. Idk how else we were supposed to get clean towels! The pool was too cold to us to swim in, way too cold. I pick this place by accident and I’ll never step foot in there again. It was a horrible experience!

Im assuming the owner is who checked me in. Not very nice during check in. And then he came to ask my kids and I if we had a reservation, while we were swimming, asked my last name and room # and asked if we shut the door, To the outside(door went to the outside from where the pool and spa were) we did not, it was shut when we got there. Assuming for humidity purposes, but he wasnt very nice about it. And acted like we had snuck in to swim. This was on the 2nd night we stayed. However the guy on morning was a delight. I think he cleans the rooms, checks out and does the breakfast. Was very helpful and super nice. Got anything we needed and made sure we were OK! The owner could take note on this behavior. Hit tub wasnt very warm, and I was afraid to turn it on. Made a loud noise. There were no signs not to use.

The breakfast was decent. There is not any housekeeping services available. If you need fresh towels, you need to bring the used ones to the front office for exchange. The issue I had was when I brought the used ones to be exchanged, they didn't have any clean ones available. The staff informed me that I would have to wait for the laundry to be done and I could get them later. The other problem I had was an unauthorized charge to my card on file that they charged the day of check in. Not only did they not disclose or inform me of the charge, it was for services not rendered. Staff refused to reverse the charge. Also, it was always hard to find staff to communicate with.

Never book here. There is NO HOUSEKEEPING, looked filthy from the moment we walked in and we didn’t even make it into a room.
The owner lives there and is a complete jerk.
Reserved a room for two nights, had a last minute mishap and were only going to be able to make it to our second night. Attempted to call property twice the day of check in to inform of our late arrival with no answer and no option to leave a VM. We understood that we would be eating the cost of the first night. At the front desk are many handmade signs “missing towel fee $10”, “no housekeeping”, “call operator for front desk service”,just to name a few. The owner comes out from the back office, asks for my husbands ID and credit card. Swipes the card and tells us he doesn’t have a room anymore because we didn’t check in yesterday. 2 hours later we make it to another hotel, thankfully, and get the notification that he charged us for the whole 2 nights. He never told us what he was swiping the card for, we assumed it was to pull up the reservation.
Per Choice Hotels (corporate) we were told to ask for a “Walk Policy”, when we called and spoke to the owner for a copy of this policy he quickly said “We don’t have that here” and hung up.
Completely baffled as to how this property is still running if that’s how he deals with customers.

There’s signs posted all over the desk explaining to dial “0” or ring the bell for assistance. I immediately notice a sign on the counter in bold red letters saying “NO HOUSE KEEPING SERVICE” which should’ve been my immediate red flag. I was in the room for no more than hour before noticing dried up pee stains on the wall, dead bugs, roaches, stains all over the bed sheets, stains all over the towels, and hair literally everywhere. The shower is disgusting and the toilet seat is filthy. The hotel isn’t even secured as the back entrance to the hotel has duct tape over the lock to prevent it from locking so literally anyone can walk through. I pack up my car and return back to the front desk to check out and see if I can get my money back. The attendant INSIST on seeing the room after I inform him that I’ve taken pictures of everything if he needs to see. He ignores me and goes out the back entrance of the office. He spends all of 30 seconds in the room barely glances at my photos before YELLING at me that he’s not giving me a refund because he sees nothing wrong. He then yells at me to leave and shoves us out the room. I partner with Expedia- Expedia reaches out to the hotel to get my refund and he yells at Expedia too! Claiming he’s seen nothing wrong with the room! Now I’m out $100+ because he’s a scam?!

The key card machine was broken, so we did not get room keys. The bed was full of food crumbs. The floor had food crumbs swept under the desk, and there was toothpaste all over the sink. We packed up our things within an hour and left after asking the front desk for a refund due to the room being completely filthy. The front desk said he would complete the refund process through Expedia and refused to give me a refund or receipt. I called approximately 4 hours after leaving and spoke with the front desk, and he said the room was clean and that he would not issue a refund. As I was asking to speak with his boss or the manager, the front desk hung up on me. This was a completely unsatisfactory result, and I will never book with Comfort Inn again. I would give this 0 Stars if that were an option. I would advise people not to stay at this hotel

I made this reservation through Expedia. I was disappointed with this facility. It did have a great location. I am not sure if this particular time was a down time as far as the season, but this location was pretty much do your own service with this stay. There was no housekeeping service. No changing of the sheets, no making the beds, no clean towels, no restocking of the supplies and no trash removal from the rooms. All of those tasks were the responsibility of the folks who paid for the room. I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. I have stayed at Comfort Inns before and they were nothing like this experience. There are many motels around this location and I will chose a different facility the next time I am in this area. There were many signs posted at the front lobby stating all of the do’s and do not’s. I thought that I was in an elementary school. In addition, in order to get an employee at the front desk, one had to dial the phone and call, in order to get some assistance. Rod Serling would have had a field day with this place.

Hotel was nice. Rooms decently clean. But housekeepers not friendly. Housekeeper lived on property and made me feel awful about my super young kids being a little rambunctious. (When we arrived later at night we had just got off a 6 hour drive and kids were restless.) she was living in the room below us. Threw a fit the next morning about noise and what not. Definitely not the cleanest place

The staff were friendly but hardly ever at the desk. The room hadn't been vacuumed in some time, hair on the floor, food wrappers in between bed and nightstand, straw wrappers under the edge of the bed and crumbs all over. There was a dirty hand towel left hanging in the bathroom over the shower and the floors in the bathroom were dirty. All the bedding was terribly stained. The alarm clock was covered in something sticky and the charging ports in it broken. To get clean towels you have to bring the dirty ones down, wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk, then count the towels out in front of them before you receive clean ones. There was hair floating in the pool and enough chlorine to burn your eyes without ever going under the water. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Its sad when children say mommy can we not stay here again its dirty.

Before we even arrived, we were hung up on and when we did get through, we were told it was a $25 charge to check in early. It was 1:30 so we waited until after the car show. When we finally checked in, the couch in the room was covered in crumbs and debris. Called the front desk for house keeping, but the front desk guy came up, was rude and used a Dustbuster and swept the crumbs on the floor. He went to just flip the cushion, but that only revealed all of the stains. The curtains were shredded like in a haunted house. There was peeling paint and mold in the bathroom and shower. I thought the shower was cracked but realized it was just hairs. Yuck. The doors had stains, the chair looked like something I would throw out, the table had gunk on it, and the mirrors had spots. There were flies on the mirror and most the light bulbs were dead. Since it was late, we tried to sleep, but the air conditioner fan never stopped running, even though the compressor wouldn’t kick on. The sheets got moist, and we both woke up with bug bites. Fell asleep around 4 but was woken up by a fire alarm at 5. No one evacuated and there was never an all clear. We were charged $263 for this nightmare. Manager has not responded to me.

Hotel was extremely dirty -hair everywhere, floors not vacuumed, boogers on bathroom and shower walls, dried urine on toilet seat, stains on headboard,etc. Do yourself a favor and sort reviews by 'most recent' to skip all of the obviously fake 10 star reviews. There is absolutely no way that ANYONE would rate this place 10 out of 10.

We checked in 4 hours late due to traveling and our room was not cleaned. We walked up with all of our luggage to a door wide open and dirty towels, bedding and linen. When going to the front desk to ask for a different room I had to ring the bell and phone for 10 mins before someone came to the front. He rudely said I’ll just give you a refund and I explained that there were no other hotels in the area with vacancy and asked to just have the room cleaned to stay as we had no choice with several children to drive around finding a new hotel. 30-35 mins later the room was cleaned but sheets were stained, and comforters were not changed out. Rude staff, dirty rooms, unprofessional. I would never stay here again

Before reservations were made we called to be sure everything worked. It was reported it did however upon check-in we find out it didn't work. Also I requested a wheelchair accessible shower room and found my room wasnt only not a wheelchair accessible shower room but thanks to a door stop in the floor it was barely accessible for my wheelchair. There was no housekeeping and charges for everything.
We were required to turn in our dirty towels to receive clean ones and even then we also requested the sheets changed in my daughter room because of my granddaughter spilled pizza sauce on it and we were told we'll see what we can do then all they did was make the bed without changing the sheets. When my son went to turn our towels for clean ones he was asked why we needed new towels. All of these were done by the same guy on the daytime desk.
The only very bright side was the extremely nice lady who ran the night shift she was also the only reason for the other bright spot in our stay which was they actually had a nice hot breakfast that her n her aunt cooked each day which was excellent.
For me as a early riser as I went out for a smoke at 4am she allowed me to get coffee as they didn't have coffee full time availability. Also on the last night there once again at my 4am trek I come to find my lighter wasn't working and she went out and found me a lighter and again gave me fresh coffee. She truly was the only bright spot in our stay here.

Breakfast is horrible. Eggs were cold. Hashbrowns were still frozen.

The gentleman that checked us out was very polite and nice.

But the guy that checked, the sand was very rude and couldn’t understand the word he said.

Area seemed unsafe in general. Lots of vagrants hanging around outside.

This experience at this hotel was disgusting and completely unsanitary. First off, I checked after waiting in an empty lobby for 30 mins, then after I checked was verbally made aware that the elevator doesn’t work, we were put on the third floor. Then after I walked past cob webs in every corner of the stairs and past holes in the drywall, we made it to our room. The room was gross the first thing I saw was a huge white stain on the couch, so we started looking around and found SO much hair in the bed, dirt specks, what could have been a spot of blood, urine on the toilet seat, hair in both sinks and the bath tub, as well as built up dust and grime in every corner of the tub. There was spilled beer that was sticky on top of the TV cabinet with multiple rings where someone set cans. There were very thick cob webs in the corner, so visible they show up on camera! This whole experience made my skin crawl to the point we just had to leave. Asking for a clean room wasn’t an option, as it was already after 8pm and that was provided as a “clean and ready” room.

On the surface, looks like a bad area, hotel hidden behind run down properties. Inside, had to ring a bell even though he was right behind the wall, should have heard me. Was charged extra fees that \"Expedia never charged\". Only had two towels, asked for more, he waited in hallway for the dirty ones - ok, fine, but then he ushered me I to the back laundry room and was basically asking me to walk in the back to put my towels in their bin by the machines!! There were hairs everywhere, in the shower, on the floor, on the couch. Stained, moldy shower curtain, curtain rod nearly falling off the wall. Cup rings on dresser, so WAS NOT CLEANED.

We stayed with our family for the 4th of July weekend. I have a baby and an 11 year old. At firat glance, the hotel seems shanby but clean, and the staff were friendly and easy to work with. The issue came when we went to get ready for bed after a very long day. There were used contacts on the floor by the vanity (not ours), crumbs on the sheets of one bed and blood on the sheets of the other. The front desk clerk was kind, apologetic, and brought us new bedding immediately, but couldn't move us to a new room because they were fully booked. Even with changing the bedding, it have me the ick. The only reason we didn't check out is because there were no other availabilities in the area (holiday weekend) and my babies were exhausted. I definitely would not rebook here.

Some areas could use a good cleaning,but overall it was clean. Security issue. The doors had tape over the locking latch. Anyone could walk in at any time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would consider staying there again should I be traveling to the area.

The room was overall nice… however. The lock on the door was completely broken, our keys did not work and the manager had to come unlock our room for us. There were fecal remnants in the toilet and we found trash items on the floor such as a piece of a beef stick, and a gum wrapper. The bathroom door also did not lock. Besides the beds being made, the room was not clean. And we were not offered a discount for our safety being at jeopardy with the broken lock.

Arrived to the hotel as a late check-in. Found the side door with the latched taped so no key needed to enter the facility. Confirmed with the proprietor that they were having issues with the key card reader so they taped it.
This is unsafe for not only the guests but also the night clerk working.
The proprietor didnt seem to concerned a out it when confronted.

Our room was not ready until 9:45 pm. The toilet and bathroom walls, floors, tabletops and backs of doors were not clean and the room was in serious need of a deep cleaning. I was very glad to have clean linens and bedding. The overall condition of the room was nice, just needed a good cleaning. Maybe they were short staffed. Seems to be the trend these days.

I stayed at this property after a long day at work after getting checked in me and my family
Unpacked out stuff walked into our room and it stuck so bad my kid almost threw up on the floor i then went and told the front desk i was canceling my booking and told him the room was dirty and it stank he walked to the room and came back a couple minutes later with the food in his hand saying “okay bye” then i called in the morning to try and get my refund and he would not give me anything about . This HOTEL MAKES THERE MONEY BY PEOPLE MAKING RESERVATIONS AND THEN CANCELING DUE TO DIRTY AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

The room was clean and the service was good but the hotel needs some serious upkeep. The floor tiles in the bathroom and entry area were loose and moved when I walked on them. The curtains were torn. The couch was terribly stained.

Sketchy room !! Would not stay again!!

This room was unacceptable at best.. I stayed because I wanted to have a nice New Year’s Eve away from home.. and to use the hot tub and pool. I didnt feel comfortable leaving my room unattended as this door was not really securable .. looked like someone had tried to break in at one point.. you need to have that door replaced! Scary and I should have left or changed rooms! But the front desk person was not approachable and when I checked in I’m not even sure he would have known what I was saying or asking of him !
