The pictures online do not match what you actually see! Room had 2 small double beds instead of XL like listed. Ceiling had black spots and popcorn ceiling falling down. I booked because it was close but at 150 plus a night this is pitiful. 2miles away are many worth the cost.

When you pull up, you wonder if you’ve made a mistake. But this place was surprising clean and quiet!! It’s nothing fancy, but it’s a nice place to lay your head, get some breakfast (again, nothing fancy, but what they had was more than fine!), and head to the lake or Cedar Point!!

Upon coming into the room, it’s beautiful. The jacuzzi next to the bed and all the mirrors, looks nice and romantic. It’s 10 minutes from Cedar Point.
However the jacuzzi did not work correctly, it was squirting water everywhere. The shower also had terrible water pressure so you have to stand directly under the shower head. Don’t think it was worth the price.

Driving in my husband was like h*ll no were not staying. Once we got up to the front u can tell they did some renovation, inside the main office looked nice and recently remodeled. We got a room like 2 doors down from the office again looks to be recently remodeled but it was far from a good construction job.....u can tell they just painted over the ceiling damage, in the bathroom there was damaged that was poorly fixed by the bathtub, the pictures on the walls were very gross with what appeared to have water damage, chairs were all stained. Breakfast in the morning was good. Overall I wouldn't choose to stay again but if ur looking for okay and cheap. Go for it there were no bugs or anything that discusted us. My thoughts are if ur gonna spend money or repairs make sure u do it well.

Beds were comfortable. Location was closed to Cedar point. Only two issues the fridge in room need updating they freeze any liquid you put in them. Second the bathroom bathtub faucet need repair you turn the water all the way to hot you get full force cold water if you turn it towards the cold you then get a stream of hot water. Everything else was good with our stay besides that

Super friendly, lovely staff who went above and beyond to help and make us feel welcome. We loved the pool and the pancake maker was amazing. The rest of the food for breakfast was not anything to write home about, but enough to keep everyone happy. The kids loved the pool. They also put in the effort to have bed bug covers on, which is a big deal to someone who has previously gotten bed bugs from hotels in the past. We loved it here. Thanks for a great time!

The property is located very close to Cedar Point amusement park, which is the sole reason for our trip. The front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful, who let us check out 1 hr later for my husband’s meeting and lend their kitchen utensils for our personal use.
Although the property is outdated, the layout is pretty good. The room we stayed is quite spacious, especially the bathroom area.
The complementary breakfast is a bonus.
Should I visit cedar point again in the near future, I will stay at this property again.

This is a great hotel for the price, its not luxurious but the rooms are clean. The beds are super comfortable. Some of the rooms are nicer than others. Their is AC. A decent bathroom. Breakfast in the morning that our kids love. The pool is nice, but outdoors. The last time we stayed there were to many chemicals in the pool and it bothered my daughters skin and that sucked. We go to cedar point allot and it's really convenient and close. It's also located right next to a dollar general and around a 10min drive to a bigger area with anything you could possibly need. The staff remembers us now bc we've gone every year for the last 3yrs multiple times and they are really nice and helpful. We really like it as a family

We are a large family and stayed here for a couple of days to enjoy Cedar Point. The property is so close to the park which made it easy to do a mid-day break for lunch with the little ones before going back for the afternoon. The rooms were neat and tidy, with plenty of space which was really great for us to regroup all together. The breakfast was good and the staff was very responsive to making sure that various items were available; it was a great way to start the day.

However, we were most impressed with the service given when we left a library book behind and didn't notice. They contacted us about the book and arranged to mail it to our home in San Antonio. We appreciate that they went above and beyond for us on this item.

If we find oursevles going to Cedar Point in the future (and we hope we do), we will checking in again at Cedar Cove. Thanks for the hospitality!

The room was surprisingly clean and comfortable. They've got some renovations going on and it looks kinda closed when you pull up. The noise was awful. You can hear and feel every car and motorcycle that passes and the bar across the street goes hard on karaoke night. Free breakfast was a step up from what you get in a lot of chains. Staff was polite and helpful.

Hotel? More like motel. The housekeeper kept knocking at the door from the start at 10am when check out is 11 am. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathtub. The floors were not mopped and barely swept my sock turned black it was so nasty. When I went to check out at 10:50 after the 4th knock of the housekeeper there was nobody there to take my card I stood there for about 15 minutes and just got a pen and wrote my check out time. Will not be staying again that is for sure. It looks nothing like the pictures online.

WiFi signal not good in my area of the hotel. I work remotely and had to use my hotspot as the WiFi was poor. Room was clean but sparse. No desk. No chair. Nowhere to put my luggage. New vinyl floor was improperly installed causing a suction noise whenever you waked on it.

Wasn’t expecting much but got better value at same price from a few other hotels in area.

The Thirsty Pony across the street has great food and a cool vide. I've been staying here every year for at least 15 years. It's my go to in Sandusky.

I got the queen bed with a hot tub. Hot tub was not hot. And shower had no water pressure to hot side if you took a cold shower pressure was fine. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Didn't get much sleep.

Cute place. Rooms are updated with fridge and microwave. They are small the bathroom very small but pretty. They have hand soap dispenser in the bathroom which is so nice compared to bars of soap. Don't come in May, you'll be attacked by tiny midge bugs. Bring earplugs because the train runs all night long. Bring your own toilet paper and tissues, as theirs are hard as a rock. The door wasn't flush and we smelled skunk. We had to cover the door with a blanket. There was little water pressure in the the shower.

On the plus side, there was a nice mini-fridge and a charging bank for our phones. The staff were very nice. We appreciated them.

We will not be back.

First thing I noticed was a kleenex sticking out of the peephole. Then I noticed the furniture was old and beaten up. Next the area between the tub and toilet was very soft like it was rotten. It wasn't till the next morning when I went to take a shower. There was no shower curtain. The location was close to train track. Every hour and a half to 2 hours, a train would come by and honk it's horns. So that woke me up numerous times. The only good thing was how nice and apologetic they were in the front office.

Very outdated motel. Stained bedding, ceiling falling in, ripped wallpaper. There was no comforter on the bed, just a blanket and sheets. When checking in the lady at the front desk said “there’s breakfast but don’t expect nothing much, I’m not cooking, I don’t do that.” Walls are extremely thin, could hear both of our neighbors all night until about 3 am. It’s fine if you’re staying short term and want to be close to cedar point, but definitely wouldn’t stay again.

For a short overnight stay, Cedar Cove was good. The owner was nice and friendly. The room was surprisingly clean (bathroom, floors, surfaces, etc). The linens were of very modest quality but all very clean. The room didn't have any weird or musty smells. It would be more comfortable if the TP didn't feel rough like writing paper. Also, it's not far from a railroad track and right on the road. If you need silence to sleep, bring earplugs.

He called us to find out what time we were checking in and said he’d only be in the office and to call when we arrived. When we arrived we called but he was there and the door was unlocked. It was a little weird. Then when we arrived they had a ring camera on the counter that was on the whole time pointing at me and some guy was talking in indian to the worker the whole time. They also didn’t have breakfast “due to seasonal” this was the reason be booked here in the first place. We were the only guests for the entire place.

Hotel is quite dated but has had some partial renovations. My room was sticky so I got some cleaning supplies from dollar tree. Scrubbed down the shower and all the countertops. The floor was gross so I wore shoes around the room. The bed didn’t show any signs of bugs in or underneath and that was my biggest fear. It was comfortable and I slept fine. My neighbors could be heard quite clearly, so I guess the walls are very thin. The door was kinda sketchy and didn’t always feel the most secure. I didn’t feel nervous persay, but I definitely did feel like someone might try to break into vehicles or rooms on this property. Overall, I would stay here again, just bring my supplies and be prepared. The price was definitely great at $200 for 3 nights. I think the hotel is family owned (maybe). All the staff I interacted with were very kind and helpful. It’s really close to cedar point so obviously that’s the draw to stay here. It’s just not worth a high nightly rate.

I typically don't like leaving bad reviews but this was one of the worst hotel experiences. 1st let me say that the staff was friendly and kind but unhelpful nonetheless. When we got to the room I went to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper. I wasn't angry but did have to go get it. After a long drive, we tried to get some sleep and there was a terrible and loud knocking sound coming from the walls. I called the front desk and despite trying to check ot out, they couldn't figure it out. I didn't sleep all night. When we went down for breakfast the door was locked and there was nothing set up, so we had to go out to eat (an expense I wasn't expecting). Before we went out for the day i stopped at the front desk regarding the noise and breakfast. I was informed that hreakfast wasn't there because the employee didn't come to work on time... essentially there was no staff through the night. I showed them a video that i took of the noise and emailed it to them at their request. They said that they had no odes what it was but would handle it. When we came back 7 hours later it a as still banging away. To top it off, our room door was open for anyone to walk in. I went back to the front desk and asked for a new room and advised them how unhappy I was. They gave me a new room but it did not have the hot tub that i had paid for in it. There was no offer to compensate me for the lack of that amenity that I paid for. The new bathroom was filthy. Don't stay here until they fix it!

The room had laminate floors instead of carpet.
My personal favorite, I was given cold bottled water so I had something to drink at midnight when I arrived! Definitely a wonderful personal touch this place did. And I will totally return just because this was such a personal touch that no other hotel has done.

I could hear people talking really clearly in the room adjacent! So not very private.
I could hear freight trains several times during my 2 nights stay. They woke me every time.
So it’s not the quietest place.
No elevator so you’re lugging everything up a flight of stairs. If you’re on the 2nd floor.
Overall nice place. I would have given a 5 rating. But being woken by trains several times made me extremely tired for my day at Cedar Point.
