Slopes were definitely walking distance (not in ski boots), but grab an overnight locker and leave your skis and boots at Canyon and walk there and back. It's a huge hill, but so convenient. Buildings were well marked - so easy to find.

It's difficult to tell from the pics online, but this unit was reeeeealy dated. From the appliances, to the bathrooms to the lighting... all original from when the building was built. Paper thin walls too, could hear everything the neighbors were saying clearly. Beds were just good enough not to complain, but visitors should bring their own pillows. It is close to Canyon Lodge and right on the Village Ski Back Trail, which was convenient. Sauna and hot tub were a plus.

Honestly, won't be staying here again. The place is cute and a little dated, but that's honestly not my main concerns. It's primarily the attitude of the hosts/management - let me give you a few examples

\"check in is 4pm or whenever the unit is cleaned\" - just do what it takes to clean it on time, and guarantee your guests a place to stay when they arrive from a long journey.

\"no shampoo, conditioner, or soap due to a CA bill that prohibits using single use plastics\" - every other hospitality business just switched to wall dispensers in order to avoid having their customers bring soap with them to wash their hands. This is just pure laziness

\"Specific units may be requested but cannot be guaranteed\" - loved this one when I chose a room with two beds but ended up getting one bed and a sofa bed. Kinda crazy that its just a pure gamble

I'm just not a fan of giving my money to people who run a business like this, and I hope others aren't either.

Nice property. Pretty spacious for a 2 bedroom. However Hand soap provided as dish soap and was completely watered down. Hand soap in both restrooms same thing- just water. Extra towels would have been nice as well. But, outside of those little things, we loved staying here!

We have stayed at this complex a few times over the years and always had a great experience, except for 1-1-5. This unit is old, tattered, dirty and they need to spray for bugs. The toilet, lights and shower weren’t working. You sleep in the basement, which is really a cold dark cave with beds that bow in the middle. There is a popcorn ceiling that is falling apart (?asbestos). The chair cushions had food on them and buttons falling off. There was really no clean surface for my kids to sit or play. I took pictures but can’t post them; it needs to be remodeled and cleaned. Thankfully, the guy at the front desk was very nice and apologetic; he contacted Expedia so we could get our money back. Expedia made me jump through some hoops and initially low balled me on the refund but we eventually worked it out.

My family didn’t like going up three flights of stairs every time. We had a 79 year old with us. She had to climb. It’s not handicapped or disabled friendly at all. Our view was the back of a garage. Not good at all

Garage parking when it snowed 12 inches was so appreciated! Unit was super clean and had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. More comfortable mattresses would be my only suggestion. Layout was perfect for our family of 5. Took us a bit to realize all heat came from the fireplace which ended up being perfect and great ambiance. Check in/out was easy and onsite management was always available and helpful. Great location to ski out of Canyon Lodge!

Condo was spacious and catered to our needs. It’s clean and in gear working condition. The only thing that was a worry was the sliding door to the balcony would not latch. The room was high enough for us to worry but would have been a safety issue. Otherwise, love the accommodation and the place itself. The proximity to the slope was also a big plus for us. It’s way too convenient. An awesome stay I should say.

The condo was very spacious, clean, and quiet. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was at the top of 3 flights of stairs, which wasn't a problem for us but may be a consideration for others. A single small parking space was provided inside a garage, which was nice since it was in bear country. The only annoyance with the booking was the volume of emails, almost 30 in total from Hotels.com, the condo complex, and the city of Mammoth with check in/out instructions, rules, and reviews. But overall, I'd stay there again.

Great location, just up the way from the village. Close to Lake Mary, not far from Convict Lake (20ish mins) and close to lots of other hikes/bike paths. Our particular unit we stayed in was definitely older and a bit run down, but worked for us. The on-site team was friendly and helpful each time I called before our stay.

Overall we have a pleasant experience staying in this apartment. The biggest complain that we have is the early noise coming from apartments next to ours and the upper floor. Noise insulation isn’t that good and we could hear tv on and children running. Also some fans would have helped with the unusual heat going on in this region.

Location is great, place is cozy and fireplace was really easy to use. Made a big difference during the storm and was so comfortable to sit in front of and watch the snow outside. Setup is hotel-like so don't expect seclusion or complete quiet. No complaint though - would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

We stayed in Bldg “B” and our Unit was newly remodeled. It was great, with full kitchen and more than plenty of utensils. The location is quiet and situated among the trees. We were very pleased and enjoyed our 2-day stay. We wish we had stayed longer!! Next time we will.

These are owned, I think, seperately and managed by the resort. I stayed in #20. The carpet was really stained and the entire place looked like no renovations in 30 years. That being said it was clean. Toilets, shower fridge all clean, just really worn out even blankets and pillows were older. Pool area was nice, new BBQs that were nice. I probably would not stay here again.

Very old building. Bad smell. Very squeaky walls. Whole night you get feeling someone is walking around your room. Bed sheets dont look clean and fresh. Mattresses are super uncomfortable.. Garage gates are heavy to open. They are not automated. You have to open every time you get in or out. There are many nice looking hotels in Mammoth lake to pick from. I don’t recommend this resort ( if you can call it a resort ).

enjoy the stay. Checking was a bit trouble some. A bit more complicated than it should be. It does not automatically direct you to a safe box with a code to open for your key. After hour checking in has to contact hotel before hand. If you happened to contact or call them the day of arrival and after hour, the message say, when you arrive at the office, there is an emergency phone to call. and thats it. Very vague, leaving you wondering if you can even get in when you arrive.

The unit is worn down but functional. Wall heaters and fireplace for heat. Thermostat is not reliable. It took 24 hours to warm the place - it was under 20F outside. Ceiling fan covered with dust.

Covered parking is a plus.

Overall our experience was good. Condo was spacious, clean, and reasonably well equipped. On the downside, we were woken up early on several days by workers doing maintenance/renovations at the facility...very annoying. Was also surprised that the facility did not have air conditioning...some days were hot and the condo was often too warm during the day. TV in the living room was quite old...not HD. Kitchen only had 1 nonstick frying pan that was bent and scratched.

Spending 3 nights there in a 1 bedroom old cabin, dirty carpets, inside cabin has odor and worst thing is the room's window is broken and cannot be open plus there's no screen either if you'd have to open it, the bugs will come inside. Imagine that there's no AC in the unit with 76-78 degree at night because of hot summer and no air to breath. Just realize that no AC for the entire Mammoth cabins except for Westin Hotel, but at least the window is properly installed with the screen and can be open so the natural fresh air can come in and we can breath nicely. Yes, I don't expect new cabin since it is not a new mountain, but the property management is terrible that he doesn't give a good customer service to provide solution and ignore my request to fix the window. But, the front desk lady is kinda help little bit by borrowing a small fan. If the owner of the cabin read this, please change the management to others who can take care of the guests. I will never go back to this cabin!! Please be aware of the pictures that shown in Expedia page, it is totally misguided people as they are not look the same.

A little maintenance please!

I've stayed here a bunch of times and most of the units are completely dated but decent. A big issue on this trip is the unit I was in did not have window screens, and it was quite warm. We were faced with a hot room or a cool buggy room. Bugs were not an option! So hot we were. Management offered a fan. I was not pleased. Otherwise the place is as good as most. I was in unit 20. I would recommend management should have certain minimum standards for all of the rental units.

No surprises!

Our small family of 4 loved this place! It was clean, cozy, and welcoming. The office staff was friendly as well. The best part was that all guidelines and expectations were provided multiple times; prior to and during check-in. That means that there were no surprises! We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi, and appreciated having a garage to park in. I can't wait to return!

The unit was located in a great location and was very clean upon our arrival. It was also very quiet at night. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

A Good Tired Old Place

Mammoth Ski & Racquet club has been there a long time and what you see is what you get. Our unit was comfortable enough and had everything we needed, but it was tired. The bed was not the greatest, the TV in the bedroom did not work and it just felt old. That being said, we were there for a one day ski adventure and with it being right next to Canyon Lodge, it made it ideal. Also, the TV in the living room was tiny, but it did work. As long as you get a good price and know what you're in for, I'd stay here again.

Lots of junk in the hallway, overflowing bear bins, confusing check in, chairs that are one 200+ lb person away from collapsing. Kitchen was well stocked with condiments, which was VERY appreciated and cute.
Broken/closed hot tub was disappointment. Walk to lifts was a bit long in ski boots, unfortunately.

I was expecting a lot considering the price tag, but I cannot say the unit delivered. We stayed in unit 120. The wifi never worked, the entertainment/DVD/VCR unit also did not work and, and the cable TV periodically went down. The beds were also very uncomfortable and provided for restless nights. The sofa bed in particular had a very thin mattress in which you could feel the frame and coils. The unit was billed as a one bedroom, but was a loft so there was no privacy or noise control. We asked the office to remedy the wifi situation, but they only suggested we access a neighbors wifi, which also didn't fully work. I would not recommend this place. Perhaps other units are better equipped but 120 certainly did not fit its description on the Hotels.com website.

Had a great 3 night stay here. Some things were a bit overdue for repair but nothing major, it being used as a ski lodge was perfect! We all stayed very warm and the kitchen was stocked with pots and pans. Will definitely be back!

The place we stayed hadn't been updated since the 1980's. It took 1.5 hours to warm up from 55 to 70 degrees. The TV was from the 1990's. The TV picture in bedroom was distorted. There was no remote for the two DVD players.

Too big for a couple for a 2 night stay. It was big, clean and well equipped. The condo was freezing, took too long to get to a comfortable temperature. Humidifier is a must but did not work. Bed not comfortable. No shades on windows - feels like there is no privacy.

Wonderful Mountain Condo

Great family trip. The condo was well furnished and comfortable. Each condo comes with a one car garage, which was a nice surprise. The condo sits about 1mi uphill from town, it is close to everything, which was nice. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, only downside is they are not there 24/7, but they do allow late check-in via a key drop box. All and all, we would definitely stay here again! It's a great and quiet little area!

Each condo in the hotel is individually and separately owned. The owner rented out the condo. Thus, this is a little different than a typical hotel such as Marriott. The furnitures and items are owned by the owner. You may find food left in the refrigerator (and you are not supposed to consume them!) You have to make clean up the room by yourself upon check out (such as remove garbage, close window and lights, stop heater in summer/lower heater in winter, start the dish washer, etc)

too many stairs!

My wife and I are in our late 60's and had to walk up 5 flights of stairs to room! We also had to carry our 14 year old dog up and down the steps. No elevator. Extremely tiring and painful. Our son and daughter in-law came to visit only once and because of the stairs, never came again. We will not rent this condo again.

The kind of vacation I have been waiting for.

The area was great and mammoth ski and racquet was a quiet, peaceful part of that. The pros of the condo we stayed in are: quiet, balcony, warm pool, nice furniture, kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The cons are : dirty floors, no elevator so we lugged whatever we had to carry up to the third floor, leaky refrigerator, broken microwave handle, no a.c. ( which for the most part was ok during our stay), no washer dryer in the condo but we had one located downstairs that was inexpensive. Overall I would still stay here again. The area is absolutely beautful with so much nature to explore and the town was nice and quiet in August.
