Very dirty bathroom, doesn't look like it has been cleaned in a long time. Pink bacteria on the shower curtains and on the shower tile, missing caulk in the tub and growing mold, mold on the shower window and a loose bar of soap left from the previous guest. The rest of the room and property is rough around edges... I get it is old, but the bathroom was unacceptable. I usually stay in chain motels so I didn't expect much and just dealt with it because it's temporary but I will not be staying here again.

I did not expect this place to be as disgusting as it was. When I first walked in, it seems like a typical motel. But I went straight to shower, and I have never seen so much mold in any shower. At first I noticed it on the caulking. But the mold was everywhere on the tile, tile grout and all the up to the ceiling. The towels were also stained yellowish. I kept finding hair, that did not match my hair all over - in the covers/sheets, shower, all surfaces. The ac also could use a clean, there was a lot of visible debris. I woke up with itchy bumps and a bug on the comforter of the bed. I took a picture and showed the front desk clerk. He said that they were not bed bugs and that he could not help me, walked away and refused to speak with me!

Stay away from here. The room was dirty, blood stains in the bathroom, moldy ceiling, stained towels, headboard was damaged, window screen was nailed on, and the property was in general disrepair. So bad that I didn't complete my stay here. The photos online are misrepresentative of the actual state of the property. Tried to get a refund and was declined.

Booked a 2 night stay room had random dirty underwear in the room, the bathroom had mold in the shower, the maintenance crew dropped nails and pieces of wood over the room and cracked my windshield and did not have any care at all, overall a disappointment and a annoying start to a great mountain,would not stay there again!

Due to road conditions, we didn’t get up there until 2:00 in the morning. We called and the manager met my son at the door to the lobby with the room key. He just let us in, and said we could check in properly the next day.

The bed sheet is yellow, and you can see some brown spot on the sheet. There are dirty water splashing spot on the wall. The window is single layer with a towel inserted to stable the window. The heater is very noisy. It is hard to reach the front desk. Parking is difficult. I won’t stay in this hotel again.

Hotel is super run down, bed had someone’s hair in it. Mould in bathroom. Chairs are dirty and have stains on them. Breakfast - pass!! Air con/heater so noisy we could not sleep!! Walls so thin you can hear neighbors. The manager at front desk was super polite and kind and called me when I forgot my glasses in the room. He is doing his best with what he has which is an old hotel with desperate need of capital input …. Everywhere. I would not stay here again and the price I paid (during peak) on Expedia was ridiculous for the level of hotel. Feel completely ripped off. Never again.

Hotel is under construction.
Entire place is filthy.
The room was dirty, the heater didn't work, but he was going to show me how it worked.
It didn't work for him either, so I requested another room.
Furniture looked like it was Frankensteined from different eras and hotels. Microwave didn't work, and turn table inside didn't fit in microwave.
If I didn't prepay we would have looked for different hotel.
It's a motel, not a Hotel.

So much noxious cleaner used on floor I had to keep windows open (below freezing); cigarette burns on counter and other places; hairs in bathtub; broken bathroom window taped over with painters tape; moldy caulking, moldy baseboard trim; lock broken on one of windows (ground floor); deadbolt extremely hard to lock; window peep hole and various holes in walls plugged with toilet paper; dirty towels; stained linens; stained sofa and chair; muddy under sink; and later in afternoon what looked like a bed bug bite appeared on my wrist. Only reason I'd give 1 star vs 0 stars is that the owner/manager was a kind man. (Although no other rooms available.)

I booked the room for January 1st to 3rd and received a confirmation from Hotels.com. I've never had an issue with any Hotels.com booking. When I showed up to the hotel, the hotel said my dates were from January 2nd to 4th and told me to call Hotels.com, who proceeded to confirm my dates as correct. Nobody was taking responsibility. The worse issue was the hotel was all booked and so were all hotels in Mammoth. The Hotels.com rep promised to find me a room, but failed. I ended up sleeping on the couch of the hotel lobby on the first night since I had nowhere else to go. I appreciate the hotel for allowing me to sleep on the couch.

I got a room for my 2nd night. The room had renovated wooden floors and painted walls. The AC/Heat unit was old. It was either too hot or too cold.

If the parking is not plowed of snow, it would be a pain to park. I almost got stuck in the snow.

Location is very convenient to Mammoth. Shuttle stop is really close to hotel.

Arrived late due to a snowstorm and was already exhausted. At check-in, the front desk gave me a key card to an occupied room, which allowed me to walk into another guest’s room—a serious security and privacy failure.
The facility is old and poorly maintained. The shower was dirty, the AC is extremely loud, and sound insulation is very poor, so you can clearly hear people walking around.
At 9:00 AM, housekeeping repeatedly knocked loudly on my door, despite checkout being 11:00 AM. It was loud and disruptive and completely unacceptable after an already stressful night.
Overall, this place lacks basic cleanliness, professionalism, and concern for guest safety. I would not recommend staying here.

I stayed at this hotel on December 30, 2025. The property appears very old and outdated, and the overall condition did not meet expectations. Cleanliness was a concern, as the room did not feel properly maintained and there were roaches present during my stay. Because of these issues, the experience was uncomfortable. Improvements in cleanliness and upkeep would be needed for me to consider staying here again

The inn canceled my reservation without any kind immediate notice. I had called the inn 2 days prior to let them know that i was going to be late. Around 12am and they said it was ok. But the day of, they canceled my reservation. I received an email when i was driving so i couldn't respond until i was at a gas station. They said my card was declined but i had also booked another hotel for February 14th 2026 and it was fine. Yet this inn said my card was declined and canceled me. The whole area was either booked out or unavailable by the time i arrived. This ruined my whole trip. Extremely disappointed.

The owner is a wonderful man and very kind!! The exterior is in need of much updating and repairs. The room was clean and somewhat updated. I think they are working on updating. While I had concerns when I arrived, I feel like they are trying and he is very concerned about his guests! It felt pricey for the condition, however.
I think most everything in the area this time a year runs about what I paid.
It is a 'Bear Aware' town also!! Just an FYI.
