Really nice room, great decor and comfortable beds. The room was spacious, with a big bathroom. The area is stunning with snowy mountains and forest areas. Breakfast selection was ok. Was hoping to see bears, which staff says can sometimes be around, but none with our stay. Would definitely come back and stay here again

The condition of the room #19 was extremely out of date and only had on small sofa that had hard cushions and one chair. The outdoor furniture that was listed as an amenity had a broken plastic chair on the deck. However there were picnic tables out in the open yard that would be fun for people. The shower was something that looked like it was from Star Treck where Scottie was “beamed up” but was clean. We did not try the breakfast buffet. The bed was comfortable and linens nice and clean. We probably would not stay here again. There appears to be more up to date places in the area to stay.

Other than my shower dripping, that's the closest thing to a complaint I can think of for this property. It wasn't necessarily a problem for me.But I think it's probably a problem that they're battling with overall. I think for people who were super picky and upity.You would say that this place needs an upgrade, but for me it was totally fine, albeit prices are elevated just because of the area that it's in. Say what you will, but I skied 45 days straight and I went out for dinner every night and for the most part didn't have to drive unless I chose to. That being said, I'm not lazy. So I was willing to walk to the downtown area, where the ski lift merges into all the eating areas.

I stayed in Room 5. Ground floor and door was inside, so the room stayed toasty warm with the heater on.

However, the room was also in the housekeeping area. The bed was against the wall where the washing machines are, and at 6:42am, they all went into the spin cycle, shaking the wall, bed, and windows. I thought it was an earthquake. Once I was awake, I could hear them as well so I had a hard time falling back asleep.

With that said, I love this property. The staff is always so friendly! Check in is a breeze and the property is generally quiet. Breakfast is delicious. The other two times I've stayed here have been 5 Stars so make sure you have your earplugs (they provide foam earplugs) if you're in Room 5 unless you're planning to get up super early anyway!

I had a wonderful stay at the Cinnamon Bear Inn. The location is perfect—close to everything in Mammoth Lakes but still peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were clean, cozy, and had that charming mountain feel that makes your stay extra special.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, making check-in easy and the whole experience feel personal. One of my favorite parts was how quiet and comfortable it was—perfect after a day of exploring, hiking, or enjoying the snow.

Overall, it’s a great place if you’re looking for a relaxing, cozy getaway in the mountains. I would definitely come back again!

My experience mirrors other recent reviews. Good budget option. It’s loud, slamming doors a constant day and night and inconsiderate loud people. Earplugs or fan white noise a must. But where else can you get a good clean room in Mammoth for this price that’s got walkable great food options? I wish the hot tub wasn’t so gross. At least the bath tubs are big. I thought the value was higher n par with the cost and I would go back.

The room was clean and well-appointed including a gas heating stove.l The property has a lot of deferred maintenance and shows a lot of wear and tear, and finish work is amateurish. For example, the tub filler neck has @ an inch gap from the tile. The dispensers in the shower offered body wash, shampook and conditioner, but would dispense little. There is a bare 2X4 suspended from a ledge from which a light hangs. The hot tub was \"out of order\" and did not look clean. The roof is well-aged wood shakes.

Nice quiet little hotel just off of Main St. The free breakfast buffet included in the stay was great. Not your average free continental breakfast like most of the other corporate hotel properties offer. They make fresh pancakes, breakfast potatoes with peppers and onions and great scrambled eggs with some ground sausage mixed in which was delicious! I would absolutely stay again. Super friendly staff that also quickly handled a little issue I had with my room after checking in.

Check in would have been a breeze had the check in person taken more time to explain where Room 16 is located. My family and I had spend more time looking for the room location outside in the cold.
I decided to checked the email from Cinnamon Bear and I remembered there was a map of the property. I can’t believed the check in person didn’t even asked how was our room…

The sofa bed was also broken ( can’t open the bed). My son slept on the sofa instead.

Breakfast was a plus but food were cold when served. How about coffee maker in room?

I recently stayed at Cinnamon Bear Inn and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The room did not feel very clean—the walls looked dirty, and there was a strong floor cleaner smell when we arrived. With all the snow outside, it would have really helped to have an entry mat by the door to wipe off our boots, but there wasn’t one. As a result, we ended up tracking snow inside, which quickly turned into water.

Staff was kind and courteous. The room was okay looks wise. The floor was incredibly loud as was the bed - just moving or sitting on it led to loud creaking. The room was not completely tidy as there were noticeable spiderwebs, small bugs crawling on the wall by the bathroom, and the bathroom floor appeared dirty.

Staff was unhelpful, guy walked in while we were raising our complaint to say, “ our drain is plugged… again”. Owner refused any refund, told us it was Hotel.com’s issue because they posted the pics. Where did those pics come from ya think? Very dated and worn down place. We actually refused to stay and left the property loss or not.

Room B was a little difficult to get through (lots of stairs and hauling luggage). But the room was clean and cozy! Shower had good pressure and was nice and hot. Bed and couch was super comfortable too.

Breakfast was provided. I went to eat my second morning and the person in front of me used her hands so I didn't eat anything. It smelled amazing though (I could smell it in my room - what a wake up call!)

Room- Our room had a mold smell. One of the sockets was partially melted and broken which could be very dangerous for small kids. The room was small but it was ok for this price.
Breakfast - it wasn't good, just an omelet and a potato that wasn't tasty, either French toast or pancakes. Like a side meal, there was milk with cereal. In the evening you can go and have a free coffee or tea or hot chocolate.
If you don't like cold, have a heater with you. The hotel provided warm blankets.
Parking- was good, convenient but be aware that if you are going in snowy winter, be prepared for cleaning your car 1-2 hours every morning, which is not easy. The hotel provided some tools for cleaning. And the MOST important thing is to have wheel chains, this is for your safety, and put the chains before the snow, which is much easier.
In the heavy snow winter, the Gondola cable was closed due to safety concerns. There is a shuttle which is free and you can go to the Gondola park and return also with no cost. However we couldn't use it d/t the weather.
We left earlier than expected, because it would be dangerous to stay their because of the expected storm and severe weather. I asked for the one-day refund but they refused.

The inn is conveniently located with easy parking, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The views from the property are quite nice and add to the overall experience.

One area that could be improved is the room condition. There was a noticeable odor, possibly from previous pet stays, which made the room less comfortable than expected.

Overall, it was an acceptable stay with good location, service, and views, and with some improvement to room freshness, it could be even better.

The staff was really kind and helpful, specifically one gentleman who helped us with the thermostat. The breakfast was nice for fueling up, it is just a small little room with some eggs, hash-browns and pancakes. They had several toast options, cereal, packets of oatmeal, I wish they had real fruit options instead of fruit cocktail (i might have missed it). But they also have coffee, OJ, Milk, tea, hot cocoa. The location was perfect. Of course it’s a cabin like B&B so you can hear every single step from anyone above, they’re nice enough to give you ear plugs, but nothing the TV can’t help. Subscriptions are on the TV which is lovely. Didn’t book a room with a crazy view or anything but you step outside and boom… perfect view.

The room was clean however the internet connection was very poor. The major issue however was that the TV wouldn’t connect to the internet or anything so we spent the night on our lagging devices. I had planned for my kids and I to watch a Christmas movie on the tv by the fire place and this ruined the night. I called the front desk and the gentleman that answered said he thinks the room we were staying at is old and has not internet connection but that he would come after finishing his dinner. We waited about 40 mins and he didn’t seem to be coming and my kid were getting hungry so we needed up going to pick up some food came back in 30 mins but I never received a call or anything showing that someone came to help. Very disappointing.

Very cute and quaint! I’d like to give 4.5, but it’s not an option. I love the retro appliances and LOVE. the in room Franklin stove.
Our door deadbolt wouldn’t lock, and the TV kept losing signal (like every couple of minutes). I think check in should be 3:00, like most places. Regardless, it was comfortable, good location, and I’d stay again.
