I love Mammoth but the rooms at MMI are old and really outdated. Rust, mold, paint peeling, etc mostly in the bathrooms. Parking gets worse and worse with only about 35 parking spots in the covered parking and it’s really narrow and tight.

This place just needs a major overhaul

The only thing this hotel has is the location. The staff is not very accommodating. They refused another hour of late check out. They kicked everyone out of the hot tub pool area at 9:55pm. The rooms are dirty and old.

1. Walking distance to Main Lodge. 2. Nice staffs.
A. The property is very old, so is the room and its condition; the air conditioning is super loud. The management should consider a holistic air conditioning solution instead of those individual window units.
B. And the phone line to Front desk and House keeping has been busy, I tried to call them at least 6 times, none works. I have to walk to the lobby for assistance, which is two houses away in freezing cold.

Great location for skiing however rooms are very basic and outdated for the price we paid. The room we stayed in was also very noisy. We could hear people talking in the hallway and next door very clearly. Staffs in the hotel were nice and helpful.

great location; great view from our room and appreciate free upgrade
rooms are spacious and clean but a bit worn and in need of updating
lobby is homey and impressive
a little noisy at night with other guests in main lodge area at night--it was the humans and NOT the dogs that were the problem
food is pricey in main lodge and only OK though drinks and the short rib fries are great
also would help if hotel guests in main lodge got priority parking in the parking lot next to lifts; I know there is other parking but further away from the lifts and if you have to walk in ski boots from covered parking--not a whole lot of fun
glad they allow dogs without size restriction as in future I would consider bringing my big guys in though it would be nice if there was a nearby fenced in area for them to romp around in to burn off energy and keep them from getting bored

Extremely convenient location right next to Main Lodge. I love the valet service for the skis and it’s wonderful to be able to drop off your gear after a long day of riding. The large suites are wonderful for a huge family. The only negative is that they’re pretty outdated in terms of the carpet and appliances that overall wonderful experience and we booked again for next year.

Made this an easy ski trip, in and out, no delay getting to dlipr and more time spent skiing. Room was comfortable for two. Had so much fun in slopes had little time for anything else. Easy accessibility to town for dinner. Would def stay again.

Amazing location - cannot be beat! The lifts are right in front of the hotel. You can sit at the bar and admire the beautiful mountain. The hotel rooms are a bit outdated, yes, but they are clean, equipped with very comfy beds, coffee machine (non-Keurig), fridge, DVD player, hairdryer and good shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Try to stay in the West House as the 4 hot tubs and pool are located there. The East House is 2nd best, otherwise it's a short outside walk from the main hotel.
Food at the restaurant was delicious. Another night we ordered, picked up and ate in the room. The Yodler next door has delicious German food though it sadly closes at 5 PM.
Skis and boots can be left near the reception. So convenient!
We will definitely be back for another ski trip and will stay at the same hotel if the price is right.
Highly recommend this hotel.
Note: The Village with other restaurant/ bar options is about 4 miles away and hotel provides a free shuttle.

Ski slopes are right out your front door. 1-2 minute walk through the parking lot. The rooms are a little outdated but they do the trick. The staff is LOVELY. It was my first time skiing in mammoth and the desk clerk was super helpful and gave me a map etc. I will definitely be back :)

From felt neglected. Dirty and old. Popcorn ceilings. Stains and dirt and grime on walls, blankets and furniture. Room had a unbearable heavy odor. Staff was short and dismissed feedback. Book for two days but checked out a day early. It needs TLC. I would recommend the LimeLight Mammoth instead. It was clean, comfortable and convenient as well. free breakfast was great!

Location is good and staff are great. But the hotel is completely run down and falling apart. Heater didn’t work. So we had to actually sleep with jackets on us!.
Restaurant upstairs in the main building didnt have much of good options. Just basics. Bar was missing some of their beers that was on the menu.

The room was very dated. The worst part about it was the heater - it made terrible noise and barely produced heat. It is winter now (late January), so we needed it to work. However, getting a good night's sleep was not possible. The bathroom was also pretty old - the shower/tub switch was very difficult to use. If you are staying there in the summer and it is hot (at least in this room) - there is no A/C, heater only. The ski-in/out part is also overstated - it is definitely close to slopes (short walk), but the closest you can get to is the parking lot, from which you will need to walk 5-10 minutes, depending on which \"wing\" of the hotel you are staying you are staying in.

Best place to stay for a ski trip to Mammoth! You walk across a driveway and you’re at the gondola! Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Bathroom use a little update but who cares when you are ski in ski out. Great restaurant and bar right in hotel. Didn’t need to leave the mountain for anything except church. Shout out to St Joseph’s Catholic Church. The priest was incredible! Will definitely stay at this inn again!

Someone did a hit and run on my Silver 4Runner while I was parked in the Mammoth Mountain Inn parking garage for 2-1/2 days and I was told by the Mammoth Mountain Inn receptionist that there are no security cameras so due to the lack of security I will have to pay at least a thousand bucks for car repairs since I don't have the criminal's license plate number. Additionally, Mammoth ski resort closed due to snowing, while they could have at least opened opened one run at the base of the mountain. For these major reasons, my stay at Mammoth Mountain Inn was terrible.
