All staff were very nice and helpful.
Room spotless.
WiFi worked great.
Hotel very quiet, couldn’t hear other guests.
Location absolutely perfect to explore Oslo.

Room a lot smaller than anticipated, space could be utilised better.
Only 3 coat hangers as clothes storage between 2 of us is no were near enough.
We had to use 2 blankets as they are absolutely tiny and only 2 small pillows on the bed.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

It’s everything was good, but I got allergy after 2-3 hours of check in. They upgrade our room but there is same problem. I got very big rashes on my hands and too itchy.

The hotel was clean. Friendly staff and the breakfast was an English breakfast with bacon, sausage, and eggs.
Check out the rooms before you pay. Ours was a small room with a twin bed that supposedly fit two people. Impossible! We went down to check-in and asked for a bigger room. They said it was no problem and we changed to a bigger one with a double bed. So nice.

I originally booked the room because the reviews said it was clean and quiet, and it was also inexpensive. However, I felt uneasy with the cleanliness of the room and building. When I first walked into my room, it felt musky and grimey. I saw stains on surfaces, and the general upkeep was poor. The room also wasn't as quiet as the reviews had described. The technology in the room is also outdated, not allowing me to plug in a USB to the TV to play my own streaming services. The TV also wouldn't turn on. I decided to leave the room early and checked out the same day. The showers didn't have shampoo, conditioner, or body wash which would be the first I've seen a hotel lack those amenities. The bathroom floor felt grimey as well, deterring me from wanting to shower in it. The staff was very friendly, however, and the surrounding area is pleasant. It was also very easy to check into the room by myself. The price is also very affordable, but considering there are other hotels nearby for better quality and only a slight price difference I'd probably not revisit this one again.

Visiting Norway I was very excited, I paid for a for a double room. I wouldn’t be spending that much time in the room , but you need a decent place to rest your head. Am I right or am I right ?
When I spoke to the man at the desk about my booking. He didn’t say hi, he didn’t ask anything apart from my surname. He then gave me the key. I had to ask him what floor my room was . Maybe he was having a bad day, maybe his wife had asked him to book a table for dinner and he forget or maybe he was a Ferrari fan and my Red Bull cap offended him but he wasn’t friendly in the slightest.
I go up to my floor and enter my room and I nearly fainted as I saw my room 808. Lucky I held on to the door otherwise I may have fallen. The room was small. For the amount I paid, this wasn’t what I expected. Lucky I am slim, it’s all the 5k runs I do, otherwise walking in the room maybe have been a struggle.
I felt like I was in HMP Wandsworth in London. I then thought I put the tv on cheer myself up, watch some news, have you heard about Israel and Iran? Yeah let’s not talk about that. Anyhow I digress.
TV wasn’t switching on, I tried but it failed to switch on. Notice on wall said I could chrome cast, so I thought I would put on You Tube and play some Tupac, Changes. What a song that is?! Sorry I digress again.
It didn’t work either. I was gutted.
Bed was decent.
When I left the lady at desk gave me a thumbs up. So not all bad I suppose.

Great location a 15 minute walk to major sites. Excellent breakfast, included if room booked through hotel and worth the additional fee if booked through consolidators. All electric outlets are European and need adapters for NA two pronged plugs.

Locationwise, it was good, ten minutes from Oslo central area and everything seemed close. Breakfast was as advertised in the hotel website, particularly the parties. Everything is smart operated as advertised as well. However, I found the double room doesn't fit the description. It was really small that my husband and I could barely move around in the small box given to us. I did feel that we have been scammed into paying for a single room for a double room price. The room should have been booked with a disclaimer on how small it is so people, if they still go for it, would know what to expect.

In 2025 with the world warming places like Oslo need to realise that cooling is as important as heating. The room was small and clean (perfect for a one night stay), but the room was an actual blast furnace and impossible to sleep in. I asked for a fan (which in fairness they brought), but I this day and age if you don’t have AC at lease provide a ceiling fan or a portable fan in every room. Even with the fan it was so hot it was impossible to sleep. Towels are paper thin also, I get this isn’t a luxury hotel but get the basics right…..maybe I’m being harsh cause I’m writing this whilst bloody tired, but I wouldn’t come back without some changes.

The breakfast is nasty, do NOT pay for it! Go outside in the coffee shops around the hotel and get a cheaper, nicer breakfast.
Not great service, under the pretext of being \"smart\", everything is done via computer and the reception staff is lazy and unhelpful.
Otherwise, clean and fairly new inside the room.

Very close to the Christmas market and in a very good location. A lot of public transport options near by. When they say the rooms are small, they are very small but for when you’re out exploring Oslo all day, you don’t need anything bigger. The TV had a chrome cast so having no English channels wasn’t a problem. One thing we noticed was that you had to tap your key to lock your door on the way out or you’ll be leaving it unlocked for the world.

The only thing I still don't like is the protruding drawer under the bed, which you can easily scrape your legs on if you don't bear it in mind when you get out of bed.
It would also have been nice to have a breakfast option other than 'full breakfast' - such as a roll and coffee.

The Smarthotel in Oslo was a major disappointment. The rooms are incredibly small, with barely enough space to move around. They were also poorly maintained and unclean, with stained carpets and dust everywhere. To top it off, the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

Good value for the money, otherwise I would not recommend. The pillows were stained, they charged me twice, and there was no one around the hotel to discuss the issue. At the end I managed to have a refund online, which was a lower than what they charged me... I didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, so at the end I was happy.
