Booked a room that was supposed to be handicapped accessible to accommodate my mom who is an amputee and is in a wheelchair, not only was the room too small to easily manuever the wheelchair there were also no handicapped accessories in the bathroom to assist with transferring. The toilet was much to low to the ground as well.

Check-in: woman at the desk was rude, unkind and not helpful. I had arranged a late check-out of 1pm in advance as a Bonvoy member. After driving 5 hours from NY, I was informed by the woman at the front desk that she didn’t see any note for a late check-out and that I must be mistaken. Well, if a member and customer tells you that she arranged it, are you accusing your customers of lying? This was clearly an error on Marriott’s part, but she did not try to rectify the situation. I asked to speak to a manager. A man came out and said the best he could do was 12:30 and he wasn’t allowed to give me 1pm. Really? We are going to argue over 30 minutes. When I woke up in the morning, the woman at the desk was much friendly and accommodating. She helped right way and said that 1pm was ok. Staff needs to get their act together. You are running a business and have a reputable name to stand by. Upsetting and insulting a customer after a long drive is not acceptable:

Staff was friendly and recognized us to say good morning. Room was very comfortable and AC worked well (we like to keep a cold room). Area was walkable to the DCU Center which was the main reason we were there but very walkable to other locations and events happening during our stay. I had a great experience at the AC Marriott. I debated between AC Marriott and another location and this turned out to be an excellent choice because I could walk to my planned events. However, the staff did nothing to address significant disturbances in the middle of the night-people who are fighting in the rooms running up and down the hallway is slamming doors. A housekeeper entered our room before we had even checked out, barely knocking and walking in. But the room itself was lovely

We immediately complained and were given a different room but disappointing that management would try to put us in that room that they clearly recognized was substandard.
