What a great hotel - charming, comfortable and lovely decor; friendly professional staff; great location as removed from town so very peaceful but can get to town easily; great pool area with plentiful sun beds - no waiting for sun beds; adults only so very quiet; affordable prices for a five star. Free upgrade. Definitely coming back! Highly recommend

Elba Palace Golf Boutique Hotel has the potential to be an outstanding establishment, however on my visit it was not perceived as a 5-star hotel.
I arrived on a Saturday, and the spa was not available.
On Sunday the pool was closed for renovations - when I enquired I was told all guests were informed prior to their stay - regrettably I was not informed.
The spa still not available.
The food served in the breakfast room was not appetising at all, so I resorted to the fruit, however the watermelon was spoilt as well.
Dinner was a good variety, however after the second and third day it became apparent that previous desserts were being rotated and dressed differently to appear as a 'new' variety.
On Tuesday, the orange fruit at breakfast was once again spoilt, and I landed up being sick.
Besides the above, the room service staff and a few other staff members were exceptional...pity about the facilities on site.

Beautifully appointed hotel with quality furnishings and fittings superb huge bed . Spacious rooms and social area's. A bit of maintenance required but nothing in your face. Friendly and helpful staff the room always clean and immaculate. Lovely surroundings Lovely restaurant with good food. It's a golf hotel so the emphasise is on golf leaving something to do for non golfers a bit lacking. The tennis court is for paddle tennis which is a bit weird but you are discouraged from playing it by being charged 20 euro's per hour. Probably because of it's inappropriate location next to the pool area. The only other criticism is that the air con in our room was barely adequate. Great hotel, loved our time there, can't say the same about Fuertenfura.

The hotel is in lovely grounds and the rooms are a good size, comfy bed and large bathroom. The big downside on this hotel is that if you think you are going to a 5* hotel and will experience 5* food, you will be very disappointed. The breakfast is ok... not great. I have been to 4* and had far superior. Dinner main course is pretty good, starter buffet is grossly overpriced for what you get but is “ok”. The desserts on the other hand are beyond bad in every way. They are poorly presented, cheap bought in rubbish and what little is made in house I’d so bad and looks terrible. We visited a few 3* and 4* hotels nearby and the comparison on quality and presentation was huge. If you like good food, go to one of the other Elba 4* hotels !

Th staff always go the extra mile and could not be any more accommodating. Food is great and the selection is more than enough. The location is 15 minutes taxi ride from the import and is the easiest way to get there. It is a quiet hotel, which is very clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend to others and return ourselves.

This is a fantastic hotel. If you are after a peaceful relaxing, quiet yet well-appointed hotel, this is great value.
The location is excellent just 10-15 minutes and 18 euros in a taxi from the airport. It’s a 20 minute walk to the beach, shops and supermarket, however the hotel runs an hourly shuttle bus to Caleta via the other large hotels in the area.
We have stayed twice and loved both visits. Staff are delightful and we received plenty of complimentary drinks and other treats during our stay. We stayed b&b first time around but opted for half board for an extra 2 euros each per night. That gave us 3 course dinners for the week for £25!
Rooms are spacious- separate bath and shower and double sinks in the very large bathroom. Huge bed and lovely balcony overlooking the golf course, hills and sea. V quiet air con.
Pool is fab, no fighting for sunbeds, no getting up at the crack of dawn either as you aren’t allowed to reserve them, not that it gets hugely busy anyway. We also got served fresh fruit by the pool in the morning and afternoon which is a lovely touch.
I’m not a golfer but the course looked lovely and didn’t seem hugely busy either. Very well maintained. Nice gym on site. The staff are just lovely throughout and pay attention to detail. Highly recommended for couples who want a nice romantic week or two in the sun. Not really a party hotel so not for those wanting a lot of nightlife. Very accessible hotel too, step free access to all areas.

Beautiful Hotel, comfortable spacious rooms, ours had a balcony with a lovely view over the golf course down to the sea. We loved the pool area, spa, Patrick playing the piano whilst eating and then singing in the piano bar after dinner.
The hotel isn’t massive and being adult only makes it quite quiet as it is also set away from the local town ( to which there is a free shuttle bus hourly).
If we had a complaint it is the food which isn’t 5 star and the service particularly at breakfast is somewhat chaotic. But we would return.

Rarely do we go to the same place, but this is our second visit in 18 months to this hotel.
Everything about it is fantastic.
It is immaculate, the rooms are spacious, food is plentiful and of an excellent quality and the staff can not be faulted. Nothing is too much trouble.
Being at an adult only hotel feels more relaxing and Cava at breakfast was an added bonus too.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet and overlooked the golf course which is adjacent to the hotel. There is a driving range also adjacent to the hotel. The swimming pool area was nice The hotel restaurant served a good choice of food at breakfast and the dinner menu had an abundant choice of dishes, with a self service starter buffet and sweet course. Although we did not use it there is an in house spa and a gym. The hotel also runs daily walks, exercise and stretching classes for guests.

My wife and I had a really relaxing holiday at this hotel. We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed every moment. We are not golfers but enjoyed breakfast looking out over the course.

We hired a car for the length of our stay and enjoyed exploring the island.

A peaceful hotel stay

This was a late booking that was well worth it. Located In a quiet area. With complimentary bus to the beach. The room and large balcony over looking the golf course and the facilities are lovely. The staff were very welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed water aerobic and walks. Would definitely recommend this place if you want a peaceful holiday.

I'll definitely be back

I love the Elba Palace. I know a lot of people stay because of the golf course, but for me it's either to completely chill away from everything, or alternatively as a place to stay when I'm working in the area. It has a very relaxing ambience, feels very luxurious and the staff are very helpful. I like the fact that it's a smaller hotel - there seems to be a higher than normal staff to guest ratio.

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel can't say enough about it the staff are all lovely and so helpful breakfast is amazing plenty to choose from then a la cart dinner is brilliant lots to choose from the hotel is 10 minute walk to the shopping centre and beech fine chance to walk dinner off!!!!!!! There are always plenty of sun beds available and a brilliant golf course on site can't wait to return

A 5 star stay

everything from the moment we checked in was excellent. The reception staff were extreemlyhelpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant and bar staff were the same. The houshold staff were second to none and very pleasant.
Room was very clean and spacious, balcony a tad on the small size but ample for 2 to sit outside on. The bed was the biggest I have slept in and relativly comfortable, the facilities were again not wanting in any department from the free WiFi to the complementary dresing gowns and slippers. Only one downfall, all the sockets in the room were being used for something, lamps TV etc which meant that you had to rearrange a few items to use a socket and the wardrobes are a stange design with the hanging facility on one side not deep enough for even a shirt to hang freely.
Food in the restaurant was very good. We were half board, the breakfast buffet was very good with the exception of the sausages and bacon (needs improving) but the rest was very good. The evening meal was a buffet starter (or al la carte for a small charge) the choice was exceptional and very varied each day. The mains were exceptional and a great choice plus a fantastic wine list.
The outdoor facilities around the pool were ample even if the hotel has full ocupancy everyone could have a sunbed with shade if needed (no getting down early to save a space) and poolside towels are provided which is a must nowdays with the baggage weight restrictions on most flights.

A lovely hotel, no too many rooms so it meant that you felt like you had some space to relax around the pool or in the courtyard without feeling on top of your fellow guests.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating of any requests.

Beautiful Luxury Hotel

My partner and I who are in our early 20s, stayed here this July. We were incredibly impressed, the reviews we read and photos provided were all accurate, it is a beautiful hotel with really helpful and friendly staff. The rooms and grounds are lovely, our balcony overlooked the pool and gardens. The food was excellent but it is definitely worth booking half board as it looked very pricey if you hadn't gone for it included. The atmosphere at dinner was lovely, smart dress, a good excuse to dress up a bit, we had a live singer each night who was fantastic and it was a very peaceful atmosphere. The hotel provides a shuttle coach throughout the day to take you into the town which was great, we took it to the shopping centre each day and walked along the beach for lunch and cocktails in the town which are very reasonably priced. All in all it was a fantastic holiday at a very reasonable price and we will definitely be returning.

Disappointing 5* more like a 4*

Good welcome on arrival and first impression of hotel was good The room we were allocated was large with a lovely bathroom both well furnished however the balcony was small and didn't have the golf course view that we had booked and paid extra for, the view we had was of palm trees! The linen on the bed was clean however the sheet had a hole in it. Air con was useless and what with the view we complained as was moved to another room. The next room overlooked the golf course however was smaller in size and needed re-decorating. The wallpaper was badly stained, lamp shades were marked and dirty in places, the shower door was badly fitted therefore water leaked onto the floor. Both bedside lamps were risky to use, move or touch the wires and they went on and off! Good mini bar which we used as a fridge.There was plenty of wardrobe/drawer spaces, good tea making facility and comfy chair (but only 1). Condition of bed linen always clean however there were holes again in a sheet and pillowcase. As all rooms had tiled floors you could hear people walking around in the rooms above, below and adjacent also doors closing which was extremely annoying. The food was of a good quality however repetative especially as we were staying for 10 days. The restaurants were clean with plenty of choice for seating. The pool is very small however lots of sun beds available but these were quite grubby. The area around the pool was only washed once during our 10 day stay

Stunning hotel in tranquil setting

Perfect hotel for couples - we will definitely go back! This is a fantastic hotel, 15 minutes walk from the golden beach and Atlantico shopping mall in Caleta De Fuste. It is another 15 minute walk into the town centre, but there is a free hotel bus running on an hourly circuit around the resort.
The hotel is in traditional style, but is relatively new. We had a double room on the first floor, the least expensive room available, but it was large and well appointed - 7' wide bed! The bathroom was large with separate shower and bath, 2 sinks and screened off toilet/bidet area. The patio was also large, overlooking the golf course and gardens and had 2 luxury sunbeds and a cafe style table and chairs with plenty of room. All guestrooms open into a courtyard with plenty of seating and open areas around. Free wifi worked well.
There is a golf course on site which looked great.
We loved our stay. This is not a huge hotel like many of the others in this resort, so service is very personal. It still offers the luxury that you would expect from a large 5 star resort hotel. The facilities are super, with restaurant, bar and cafe on site as well as a spa and golf shop. The pool area is lovely and we never struggled to find a sunbed - in fact there seem to be more beds than guests! It made for a refreshing change - no running out at 7 in the morning to put your towel down!
We had a few meals in the hotel. It was lovely. We paid just as much in some of the other restaurants in town

On arrival we were happily surprise with our choice of hotel. We were greeted with a friendly smile and glass of prosecco which made us feel very welcome. The hotel was perfect for a chilled vibe if you're looking for peace and quiet. There were only two downsides. Our room air conditioning/heating did not work. Also to get to the nearest town a taxi is needed so can be quiet costly on transfers. However the hotel does run a shuttle and certain times during the day.

Relaxing, welcoming and enjoyable.

The size of the hotel meant that a relatively small number of guests filled it, however it was not reflected in the service. The buffet breakfast and dinner were always well attended and we felt well looked after. If I had to moan about anything it would be the level of staff at busy lunchtimes when there were extra guests from the golf thus making the service from the kitchen quite slow. The rooms would benefit from mosquito nets on the doors so they could be left open at night as the air conditioning in the winter months is on reduced power. All in all we had a very relaxing and enjoyable week and would return. The option to have dinner as part of our half board deal in two other restaurants nearby was also a nice touch and much appreciated.

Fantastic small adults only hotel. The staff really want to help you have a good time. The pool is lovely and warm and there are plenty of sun beds available at any time of day. The rooms are spacious and clean with very large beds and bathrooms. The food is generally good with a lot of choice available - if there is anything extra you want they are always happy to oblige. Lovely lady in the gym. Golf course looks good although a little on the expensive side. Great weather everyday during our 9 day stay - will definitely return.

Great hotel just what we wanted.

Six nights for a short golfing trip couldn't have chosen better. Pool and golf course gym and practice ground all in the same place. Bars restaurants all very good. Caleta de fuse is a 15 - 20 minute walk away along with the beach.

Fantastic hotel

the staff made our stay the most welcoming and their service is of a high standard. Mario(the fastest man in the hotel), Carmen, Laura, Makki, Alfreido, etc. I cannot fault the food especially at dinner, we were lucky as fullboard guest, which meant we could also have dinner at the 5*Sheraton sister hotel and the beach restuarant. I loved the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. The gym is small as mentioned in a review but it's the right size as it's hardly ever used. The sauna and steam room is relaxing but a bit costly. For the adventurous, the reception has a excursions book to browse a wide range of things to do and recommend a hire car for these. The beach is a 1.4 km walk which takes half an hour but there is a free bus that takes 5 minutes. nice pool and scenery. We didn't play golf but it seemed popular. I would highly recommend and will most likely come again.

A good quality hotel

Enjoyable from start to finish. Staff very friendly and attentive. The hotel is on the golf course slightly away from the main town area and is a peaceful location which suited us and generally as an adult only hotel any children were restricted to the hotels general public areas but to say there were no children would be incorrect. This is a good quality hotel and we had an enjoyable stay and will go there again. The only adverse comment would be the evening dress code which implies smart casual but is not enforced and airline staff who stay there occasionally can be seen at diner wearing vest and shorts.

Will be returning to this hotel again

What a super hotel. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival from Pilar and her attentive reception staff. A nice glass of cava and a refreshing towel! Shown to our room by Mario. The room was very spacious, with a large king size bed and a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom was equally spacious, with double sinks, separate bath and shower. We stayed on B & B basis, but were offered to upgrade to half board, which would have cost 20 euro per person per day. Breakfast was buffet style with seating inside or outside on the sunny veranda. Plenty of beds around the clean pool area, no rush to put towels down. Free shuttle bus down to the local shopping centre and from there a short walk into Caleta. All in all, with had a wonderful stay and will be returning to this hotel in the future.

Fantastic relaxing break with great pricing for golf on a decent holiday track. Hotel staff very attentive, friendly and with no children pool was a pleasure. We were booked into a double deluxe however we were put into a suite on arrival.
This was very spacious with lounge, large bathroom, separate toilet area, and a bedroom with a huge bed which was very comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and we're always willing to make our stay enjoyable.

Relaxing, luxury getaway

The hotel is in a lovely quite location, despite being only about 15min drive from the airport. Only saw/heard the odd plane during the week. Set in a lovely golf resort the view from the room was beautiful.
If you don't play golf there is not much to do in the immediate area but the helpful staff advised us and arranged trips to explore the island.
Can recommend the spa which offers an excellent sports massage and also the jacuzzi and steam room, all very relaxing.
The pool area was vey quite and had no problem getting a lounger.
An excellent relaxing luxurious base from which to explore the island. Highly recommend.
The food was high quality with a good choice and variety.

this is the most beautiful of hotels, with exceptional staff.Who work tirelessly to meet their clients needs. Upon our arrival at checking we received a welcomed glass of fizz and from that moment our every request was met. the only down side was a group of 14 Middle-aged male golfers, who were extremely loud, rude and clearly not representative of the hotels other guest. this was addressed by the management, however I do feel that this group could have been accommodated away from other guests at meal times.

very pleasant stay. Not easy to find due to its remote location but in a quiet residential and golf course position. The balcony is rather non private as you are very open to the next room and when you sit in the balcony you do not see the golf course view but you see the railings or balustrade instead. Wifi is non existent in the room only on the lobby or square. Breakfast menu is adequate and quite varied. Overall it was a relaxing stay as the hotel is used by adults only.

Nice quiet, comfortable hotel

We stayed in a suite which was a good size with balcony overlooking the pool. Very comfortable bed and separate sitting area. Large bathroom. Excellent breakfast selection every morning serving a wide range of hot and cold food with plenty of staff constantly replenishing supplies. Meals in restaurant were very good but menu was the same every day so maybe a bit limiting if staying half board as only one restaurant on site. Restaurant has a piano player every evening who then provides music within the bar area until late. Pool area was very nice, plenty of room and some protection from the fairly strong winds. Nearest beach & shops etc. within a half hour walk so would advise a car. Staff very helpful. Very nice hotel in a quiet location, only 10 mins drive from airport.

Nice hotel with free shuttle bus to shops and town

We had a great time. Golf course was great, staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Downside slow service in the Piano bar.

Nicest hotel

Only had one night at this hotel, but wish it was more. The staff at check-in and were very friendly and polite. One of the best hotels I have stayed at on my travels. I travel around all of Europe each week, and look forward to returning for a holiday. Thank you very much

Comfortable hotel but old and out of date.
I chose it because it was stated to give buffer dinners, but in fact only the starters and sweets were that, and one has to sit waiting for the mains!
Worst of all, you are forced to sit half outdoors for breakfast while the icy wind froze us - doors all open.

Moreover the bath/shower flooded half the entire room two nights, before it was repaired.

NEVER AGAIN!

Beautiful hotel situated on the Golf Course.

It was our fourth visit and so we knew what to expect only this time we enjoyed a suite with a view overlooking the golf course and pool. Once again we found the staff happy and very friendly and prepared to help in every possible way. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels and the whole experience was worth the expense.The atmosphere at breakfast is casual and friendly followed by a slightly more formal ambience at Dinner. With background music played on the Grand piano there is a varied choice of food each evening,beautifully presented and always tasty. The Golf course was much better presented this time round with the greens very much improved.
Regretably, our whole experience was rather tarnished when towards the end of our stay two large groups of golfers landed in our mist.This situation altered the entire atmosphere throughout the hotel and especially at Dinner. Given tables of ten so that they could eat together the noise level rose appreciably and was completely opposite to what this particular establishment represents and what the typical guest expects.

Good quality hotel with a relatively good golf\n

Excellent customer service, comfortable surrounds and 2 golf courses to play from. Restaurant good for dinner, lunch not so good. Convenient to the airport and to a decent little town with a beach.
Room fine; frustration in that the internet was very variable and too often not available.
Pool area very good; overall a very good hotel, and the whole trip vert reasonably priced.

Great staff but not 5 star .....

Great staff, nice hotel but room was not great. Leaking tap, hair in shower tray and floor not cleaned on first day. Tap repaired next day. Room telephone and internet not working during whole of stay. Engineer arrived on the last day. Did not fix phone. Internet for about 10 minutes! We had a fantastic New Years Eve. Staff worked so hard to ensure that everyone had a great celebration. I didn't think that the food was 5 star but it was plentiful and varied. The pool area was excellent. Pool staff excellent. Good hotel if you play golf (we don't) or want a quiet, relaxing break (we did)

Quiet relaxing break in the sun

Hotel lived up to its previous reviews. Everything about this hotel was 5 star. The food was fabulous, both breakfast and evening dinner. Great size of bedrooms with stunning views of the golf course and pool. Staff were very friendly and helpfull.
Not the place to go if you want a lively, fun hotel. Ideal for couples & singles wanting peace & solace

Another enjoyable stay at Elba Palace

Returned again this year for a weeks golfing holiday. The rooms are spacious, clean & comfortable and the level of service from staff is always high. Breakfast is good as are the main courses including the specials at dinner but the desserts were disappointing this time. All in all we like this hotel, enjoy the golf & would stay again.

Lovely hotel quite during the day

We came on holiday for a bit of peace & quite to de stress, this was easy the hotel is mainly for golfers therefore the pool side was so quite during the day the only real company being the ducks that visited daily, the room was very clean and comfortable and any little problems were sorted by the very helpful staff, I read a lot of reviews before we came and like those reviews I agree if you want a peaceful relaxing holiday that's what you get, the shuttle bus comes most hours and takes you down to the main area for shops etc, the only thing I could have a little moan about was the food it was maybe a little rich for me but I'm a very fussy eater there was always something on the menu I could choose but not quite enough to change each day but as I say that's me . Thank you to all the staff for making are stay a very happy onex

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The beds were really comfortable with excellent linen, small balcony but fine for our purpose, bathroom v good though small quibble was that we could find no-where to hang towels once used. Superb swimming pool - so quiet - breakfast always good but sometimes when busy was slighty overwhelmed and items tended to run out. If you hung on they were replenished. Staff all professional - service top class. If you are a golfer then this is the hotel for you. A bit out of the centre but there was an hourly free bus service and it is quite a pleasant walk downhill otherwise. Will be back!

A Quality Hotel

This \"adult only\" Hotel was very well appointed and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and willing to please. The food was very well presented but we found that the main courses at Dinner tended to be a bit disappointing in that they promised more than they achieved. However, overall, this very well managed Hotel fully met our expectations for comfort and standard of service.

We thought the hotel was very elegant and the rooms very spacious. Sadly there were some issues and they are as follows:- Air conditioning was not very good and we had no control of the level, there were never enough towels for the pool and we kept getting told they were at the laundry in a 5 star hotel I expect them to have more than required. Not enough staff so when we ordered drinks at the pool they never arrived, when question the bar staff said that he was the only one working and that he could not leave the bar. Breakfast could be improved, we did not dare have dinner or lunch.

Sun and Golf

For anyone wanting a quality hotel with a good golf course, then come to Elba Palace Golf. The course is challenging, particularly in the wind, which is almost always a factor. It has also hosted the Spanish Open. The greens could be better but then I would not relish keeping them in good condition with searing head and warm winds.
The only real problem I have was with the dinner. It was by no means poor, but because the ambience and the service is so good, it is a shame the food isn't better. This is even more so, because the wine list is first class and extensive (there is a wine cellar which keeps the temperature down for the reds.) I had an outstanding 2000 Rioja Reserve for €15 (special offer) and a Rioja Crianza for even less.
Transport to the town centre is via a air conditioned bus, running throughout the day until early evening. If you are going out in the evening, get the bus out and a taxi back and it is only €6 or €7.
