Morning staff was so unhelpful while asking for help the lady just turned and started helping the next person. So rude!
Security guard offered a taxi off the fare meter which is bad. Tried to jack the price up on me thinking i was a tourist probably.

Either way this place is horrible for any service if needed. Wont ever come back here.

Check in was good, 1 hour ahead of time. The room was ok, but there was and still is an issue with the AC unit outside the room. At night, the condensate from the units above my room drip onto the unit outside my room and onto the roof below, causing a loud noise during the night. This was reported several times to Reception; maintenance attempted to rectify the issue, however the problem was reoccurring. The breakfast service is outstanding, very prompt and efficient, the hotel really excelled in this area!
The room itself is a little outdated, showing signs of wear and tear, the side lampshades were mouldy, the shroud around the internal AC unit was showing signs of rust, the fins appear to be dirty, again another maintenance issue that needs to be addressed.

This Hotel Wants All Your Money With Little Return

Pros: Staff Customer Service 100%
Cons: The hotel policy is to charge you for early check-in ($500), lost room card ($500), extra toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and bring your own trash liner because there are none for the trash dispensers. While the staff is very kind, when you give pushback on these additional charges, they kindly quote company policy, and that there is no wiggle room. The location of the hotel is questionable at best. Do not allow the low price to fool you. We recommend that you pay a little extra and seek elsewhere, buyer beware. Again the staff was very kind. That is the only positive thing about this location.

The hotel has the bare minimum. The facilities and amenities are super old and degraded. The towels are very used. The shower drying towel was in shreds and dirty. The AC was super old. The sheets were clean but very old. The room smelled. They didn’t have sink soap, as they directed me to use the shower get that was fixed in the wall in the shower. Constant smell from the kitchen downstairs. And the area is terrible.

Definitely not worth the price. \"King\" bed was 2 twins pushed together, not very comfortable. Hot water went out twice, water kept leaking in the bathroom. Noisy construction in the adjacent parking garage that sent exhaust through the vents. Ant problem, couldn't leave food out at all. Breakfast was bland.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but that's about the only upside.

I asked for two days to get a second key to no prevail. I had to have housekeeping let me in to my room. The first key was used to keep air conditioning on it was super hotel and no ventilation. The window had an awesome view of the utIlity corridor which was extremely hot as well. Strange odor in room as well and I got sick after two days. I think something was bad in hotel. I never get sick felt fine next day.

The food was good and would recommend the breakfast . Loved the black rice and thick bacon.

This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star service. I booked a standard room with a queen bed. The bed actually was more of a king size (two twins together). The room had a window, but no view. The view was of an interior building passage - nothing to look at.
The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. I would stay here again for the staff alone.
Breakfast was included with my room rate and is open all day. Yes - you can get the breakfast all day and it is made-to-order as opposed to a typical buffet style.
The location was very convenient. Walking distance to Osmena circle, restaurants, grocery, pubs. Super easy to catch a taxi, habal-habal, or Jeepney around the hotel or at the circle. My flight arrived very late (1 am) and the front desk had my paperwork and ready for me when I arrived at 2 am. I have no hesitation recommending Pillows for anyone looking for a quality stay at a reasonable rate.

Good location near Fuente and Doctors Hospital good breakfast great coffee good service and always smiles and hello from staff Only problem is their towels don’t smell fresh but dirty although they’re clean! Pros:
1. Our room was clean - bed sheets were clean, pillows nice, bathroom clean
2. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Spoke English well
3. Breakfast included in our purchase - eggs, rice, tuna, or you can get meat. Coffee and Orange juice is included (coffee is surprisingly tasty)
4. Location - didn't explore Cebu too long so couldn't say much except that it's a 5-10 minute walk the busy centre. There are malls nearby, lots of food (if you are not vegetarian! haha.)
5. Can sit in the dining area and work on laptop if you need - has wifi and tables

Cons:
1. Pricier for budget travellers
2. Poor and weak WiFi in room (barely worked unless we put our phone or laptop by the door or in the hallway.

I would recommend this place if you can afford it. Mid-range hotel price. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Our first two days travelling from Canada to Asia were spent here and we got good rest.

At first look, room looks rather clean. However, to our displeasure, the staff did not change the necessary sheets every night but simply make the beds. Not sure if this is a practice in this city. Also, there are a lot of house rules that are \"hidden\". You can look out for a small sticker in the room mirror that advise about hair dryer rental charge and gym operating hours written only on the door of the gym instead of at the front desk.
The 2 security guards make up for everything. They are the nicest people we met in cebu!

unhappy experience....i booking 3 superior room for 4 days stay in this hotel.1 face towel is missing at last night in hotel room 308....but we are not use the face towel....we only use bath towel...I say may be your house keeping is forget put at shelves.cause...cause at other room is more than one bath towel..may be is a mistake..after this..the counter staff say we move the towel from 402 room to 307 room...I request to check the cctv to certificate your dictation..but they not do it for prove they dictation.

A safe cheep clean place to stay in cebu

Well being my first time in cebu safety was a worry ..and one thing i can say staying here there was no worry the hotel is very honest and are there to take care of you ..I arrived there at night and at first i was wondering where i was going street is kinda dark but hotel is the one lite place on the street ..Check in was fast they got us right in are room with no problems..the hotel was clean and modern and room looked pretty good for price ..room had a king bed (kinda hard ) but did the job ..had ac but was very hard to regulate temp either to cold or would shut off when it wanted too ,says has hot water out of my 7 days there i had hot water 1 day ..place is clean ..room service everyday but they dont change sheets unless asked ..the breakfast was very good size was definitely good too ..the staff was very helpful ,i even asked them to get me flowers for my gf birthday and the pulled it off perfectly she was very happy ..overall the hotel is worth the money the location isnt bad lots of food around and taxi are always available outside hotel i was very pleased with they stay over all and would recommend if your not looking to spend alot and still have what you need for your stay

Good location, clean room, comfortable bed, but there's loud construction noise most days until 11pm. There are ants in the hotel so be careful with any food or drinks you keep in the room. Wifi signal in my room (507) was weak and could only be obtained by sitting in a chair close to the door in my room. Housekeeping staff did a good job, but unfortunately mark at the front desk insisted on harassing my guests.

The person, nameb anna who is in the front desk has a terrible attitude and is not good in taking care of guest in a phone
I booked a room for my aunt, but the room I choosed accommodate 4 person and three children
But there are three who will accommodate the room that I booked
Now she is telling me that the room accommodate only two
So I argued , no it can accomplish four adults
Its a premium suites
So anyway she dropped the phone and the same thing she did to the expedia person who tried to talk to her

Stayed in a superior room, which isn't a superior room, no tea/coffee making facilities, no fridge,no glasses, beds not comfortable, having said that the pillows excellent... The bathroom although clean ish was grubby.......I have stayed at the Pillows Hotel before in one of the Premium rooms, Recommend these rooms, so to stay in a superior...the difference was amazing, I would recommend the hotel to my friends but only the Premium rooms.

It's a block from downtown but one needs to ask where to walk to get there. Anita's bakery with fresh breads and goodies each morning. The mountains are not close to downtown nor is the ocean. The taxi to and from airport was ten dollars each way. A bit more pollution than expected. People very nice and helpful.

The location is near to the main roads and dining area. Very easy to get the jeepney also the taxi.
Breakfast menu is fixed, but it is enough to start a day.
Our room is near the front road on the third floor, we are able to hear the cars pass by at night. Room is not big and lots of wall sockets. They don't offer hair dryer in the room, 100 peso per day for rental. Only one elevator available for guests and staff.

My second time in this hotel. Its not a four or five star residence, but its clean & tidy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Two minutes walk from the Fuente Osmena circle, where you find shops (Robinsons) , money change, etc. Its also a very short taxi ride to the Ayala Center shopping mall.

It's about more than Pillows

Very pleasant stay at pillows hotel. Staff were all very nice and tried thier best to assist if there were problems. They know the local area so they could answer any questions put to them. Kitchen staff were excellent, I had delicious baby back pork ribs, breakfast to order always done properly and I had the best egg sandwich I have ever received in a hotel! The kitchen staff should all be commended for thier skills and pleasing manners

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world and this is the first hotel to charge me for a stain that's barely visible on a towel..........and would have easily been removed!
Other patrons checking out at the same time were also being charged for a variety of other offences!
Don't stay here.......better and cheaper hotels with friendlier staff in same area.

It was so nice to stay and relax in pillows hotel. The staff was so good to us all day breakfast is plus. Internet is very fast. Clean rooms and pillows are so soft you can sleep like a baby. It is scandalous that a hotel does not consider worth mentioning that the standard room has NO window also it did smell. Felt like living in the celar. Had to upgrade last minute to a suite which was double the price.
Also Hotels.com clearly does a bad quality assurance job allowing hotels to misrepresent

Staff was great and gave a free upgrade without asking. There were noisy neighbors with a baby that hung out in the hallway with the baby crying as well as the adults slamming doors and talking loud most of the morning from 5am-8am. I told the front desk and although they did not want to ask them to be quiet; they did give me a free upgrade again to a suite which was just bigger and had a balcony. It was a little noisy from the street and had a fridge. My only major complaint would be that the suite has horrible water pressure and they room below that had great water pressure.

Good hotel with spacious rooms. Beds are comfortable. All the beds are king singles. If you want queen or king size they just join the beds. Make sure they put the thick mattress cover so that it feels like one mattress. After a few misunderstandings my stay was great. Other slight downfalls were some rooms have the window opening to the hotel garage. Not a big problem but on second last night i was woken repeatedly by noise from there. Apparently one of the cafe staff was breaking ice to make an iced coffee. Big positive is bathroom. Very spacious. Nice shower.

Taxi drivers don't know where this hotel. Hard to get to because the one way roads mostly go the wrong way to get to this location.

The room was small. The window faced pipes and nothing to the outdoors and was mostly blacked out. I felt claustrophobic most of the time when in the room.

The breakfast was good, but not really free. The Aircon needed to be reset every time you left the room and the reset did not work well. The air con blew right on you when you were in bed. Thus, a choice, turn it off and swelter or blow on you all night. I will not return here.

Basic but nice. Local to Fuente in Cebu City. Staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was a fair price and it was good in size. Pillows is not a fantastic hotel, but at least it is a clean and a refreshing stopover for little money. Our 3 nights there were good overall, we were given a nice room and we quite enjoyed our stay there.

For the price conscious traveller who dont care about perks and other amenities like in other larger and chain hotels, Pillows has very clean good sized rooms, clean bathroom with plenty of towels and very comfortable bed and pillows, a safe, a quiet AC, TV and free breakfast. They even throw in a dental kit and newspaper. Location is in a quiet street but just a mere 2 min walk to Fuente. They offer more for the price I paid.
