We always look forward to staying at Cebu R Hotel because it truly feels like our home away from home. From the moment we arrive, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes us feel comfortable and relaxed.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a long day. There’s plenty of room to move around, and everything is thoughtfully arranged to make the stay convenient and cozy.

Breakfast is one of the highlights of our stay. The selection is excellent, and the food is always fresh and satisfying. It’s such a great way to start the day.

What really makes this hotel special, though, is the staff. They are amazing—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality keeps us coming back every time.
If there’s one small thing we hope could be improved, it would be the quality of the blankets. A slightly thicker or softer option would make the experience even better.

Overall, we highly recommend Cebu R Hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a place that truly feels like home.

I stayed at this hotel when it was new and recently opened at the end of 2009. When in Cebu since then I have never been able to return as a casual visitor as they always have been fully booked whenever I have turned up. This time I was able to book online for 8 nights and in fact was able to extend by a night. I would say that the high standards that prevailed on my first visit have been maintained since then.

the furnished bath mat was a joke!! when we put a used towel down we got reprimanded!! but they don't furnish a real bath mat. They had a fee for extra pillows. on line signup had no difference in cost between 1 or 2 guests but after I got there my Filapina girlfriend decided to stay there instead of commuting (about 1.5 hours away) they had me in a spot i could do nothing but pay an extra P9200+ for the 3 week stay when when registering there would have been no charge (I don't know what you call that except extortion in that situation).

Love Cebu R Capital hotel

Had to stay a couple days in another hotel. From now on, will always be sure to have reservations for Cebu R Capital site, as more expensive hotel had sinks that didn't drain as well as no hot water for shower.

WiFi was awful, no matter how many times you talk to them about the issues, they politely do not do anything about them . I was there for two weeks and on the very last day they found that modem was defective and it was supposed to be replaced two days after l left!
You would be pleased with saccharine smile instead all day.

The Air conditioner stopped working in my Superior room. So I transferred to another room. The only room that was available was a Suit. So they gave us a Suit for two weeks at the same rate as the superior room.

Had a wonderful time visiting Cebu and staying in this hotel, was very surprised for the good service, friendly environment, you are treated as a friend not as a guest, check in at 2 pm and if arrive early they (staff) will watch you luggage while you go out to kill time, offered a cold glass of ice tea, how nice, two computers available in the lobby if needed. I enjoyed every single minute, nice tv with more than 60 channels, very clean room, a/c not so noisy and kept room very cool, a few ants but did not bother me at all, for my next visit will definitely stay at this hotel, not expensive and very comfortable, room service, laundry available, cameras everywhere inside the hotel makes you feel safer besides the security guys, no traffic noise, got a very good deal for an extra guest for two weeks, a bargain, if looking for a good, cheap and nice hotel to stay this is the one, besides there are many good seafood restaurants, Seven Eleven and small variety stores nearby, 220-50 pesos from and to the airport, jeepneys everywhere, long rides for 20 pesos, not very comfortable but nice experience, not a very clean city but no city in the world is perfect, some poor kids asking for spare change so carry some loose change to make their day, for 60 pesos a taxi will take you to Robinson's shopping mall, Mcdonalds, KFC, pizza and souvenir shops nearby, terrible traffic at rush hours so caution when crossing the streets.

Hotel is on a small side street. Some taxi drivers could not locate it. Front desk girls are pleasant and polite. Hotel Wi-Fi was poor, many interruptions. AC worked well, but rooms could use an up-date. Overall the hotel was satisfactory, but basic.

Disappointed with check in and location

We booked and had confirmation at Cebu r in Capitol but when we showed up they told us it was full and they had moved our reservation to the other hotel of the same name. On the plus side our cab driver that ripped us off also dropped us off at the wrong hotel after we gave him the address so we ended up at the one they had moved us to. We stayed at the one they had moved us to but we're disappointed because the reason we had booked the other one was to be close to everything and this one does not have a whole lot around it. If we knew we would be moved we would have booked a cheaper hotel in the first place. I would have been pretty unhappy however I got 2 nights of much needed sleep here so I felt like I was in a much better mood when I left than when I arrived.

Nice Hotel close to Mango

Cebu R is a nice hotel ideally situated to most facilities. The staff of course were friendly and obliging particularly the small breakfast lady who was extremely helpful. The hotel itself probably could do with an overall update, the bathroom in my unit looked a little tired. Cebu R shares it's name with another which is located reasonably close, not all taxi drivers are familiar with both, that could be the fault of the taxi driver but some didn't know either Cebu R hotel, a calling card should be essential. An overall pleasing experience.

Welcome drink and consistent friendly, helpful and accommodating staffs all throughout our stay. Good for limited budget. Robinson Mall is not far away from the hotel. Food is great. Fast WiFi. Taxi drivers are familiar with the hotel just tell the driver Capitol site as there are two Cebu R hotel one in Mabolo. My husband and I checked in Cebu R Capitol site for a tour. Like the place as I'm fond of antiques. Would definitely book again.

Very old and dirty shower and toilet big crack in walls and cilling most floor tiles and shower tiles are broken many cockroaches and mosquitos. I never recommend to any one.

Hotel is ok, clean but don't expect anything fancy, it is getting quite old now. The place is quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Free breakfast ok but not too big. A/C could be better, good sized bathroom. Closeby to a couple of restaurants, within walking distance to 7-11. About 100-150pesos for taxi to city center attractions, 300-350 to Mactan International Airport

I stayed in Cebu R in Mabolo and thought it would be similar. It was not. This one is dated. Far from shopping. Breakfast is good (same like in Mabolo), but in this hotel they do not have a restaurant, you just eat in the lobby.

well wen i arrived i was put into an upgrade room appaerntly but it had no view and was warm due to fans being directly outside the window and just blowing warm air into room. the toilet got blocked during my first night there . i complained and was put into a room on 4th floor but that was to my satifaction and enjoyed the rest of my 2 week stay there .

Decent option if you have to stay in Cebu

I just had one night in Cebu, traveling from Bohol and awaiting my flight the next day. I don't know why anyone would visit this city... It felt pretty sketchy, even the neighborhood where the hotel was.

The staff at the hotel were super helpful and the restaurant there is decent too. So you don't really have to go out if you are just stopping over.

The room was older, but decent, clean and had cold AC.

Wifi worked well, too.

Quiet oasis

An amazingly clean little oasis in the middle of a busy, noisy city. Stayed here two nights to recover from a 16 hour flight. The rooms were immaculate, staff was incredibly friendly. The included breakfast was OK (eggs, white toast and instant coffee). A couple decent restaurants were within walking distance as was a coffee shop and 7-11 (for bottled water, beer and snacks). Would definitely stay here again if I had to revisit Cebu.

I had booking 2 room and when i check in i been told by staff breakfast was free ! But after finish breakfast i get told must pay breakfast to child, yes only 150 pesos but i get angry when they say somthing and do something else. i understand it was a trainie so check me in it was a lot off Young Girls as staff Not profisional at all i get a sorry but still need pay breakfast so i was told was free !!! Manager have a work to do whit the staff, to be more profisional !!!

I would recommend this hotel, it's not fancy but has everything you need and very nice staff. Our only complaint was that was asked them to do our laudry the morning before we left and made it clear to them that we would need it by 8am the following day, but at 8am they still hadn't even dried our clothes and kept us waiting until 5 minutes before we had to take the taxi to the airport. This is all ok, but they also lost one of my socks and destroyed a brand new shirt - it was covered in dark brown sports that I couldn't get out after washing at home. After all of this they still made me pay half of the laundry fee - my ruined shirt cost 6 times more!

Oustanding Budget Accommodation

This is quite possibly the best budget accommodation I've ever stayed in. The price was excellent and the room and bed very comfortable, with plenty of space and a nice bathroom. The additional breakfast each morning was great value and a good range of options on the menu. The service was outstanding! On the first night I arrived, I had a stiff neck and inquired about massage services..I had barely unpacked and received a call that the masseuse had arrived and the quality was excellent also. On another occasion, I requested laundry service and within several minutes of submitting the request, someone was at the door to pick it up. The only downside was insects in the room and the hotel itself was a little hidden and out of the way. Otherwise, couldn't recommend this enough.

Good: staff was friendly and always there for us. Room was clean, spotty Wifi, cable TV worked fine. Shower was ok nothing great but worked. They tried hard and it showed but its a beat hotel really.

Bad: view, our view was a wall that was 2 ft from window....and a dog barked half the night each night. Told staff, they said, 'ok'....and no other rooms with a view they said. Free breakfast was not good to me, but if you were starving it worked I suppose. Room was tiny and it was supposedly a large room for the R.

As I said, if you stay more than a few days the room would get small FAST....but for 2 days it was ok considering the price. Would not advise friends to stay there however.

As I said, staff was nice and friendly and helpful but the proof is in the pudding and the hotel is just not there yet.

I booked this hotel for my wife and son for a health test from Cebu Dr. Hospital. This hotel is very close to the hospital and also located in the city. We booked for standard room for 2x but they got an upgraded room with no additional pay due to any availability of the room we have chosen. They served hot food inside the room quickly after ordering it with affordable service fee. Breakfast was comparatively much good when you consider similar quality and size of hotels, though corned beef was bit salty according to my wife :-). In short, my wife and son were pretty happy in stay at this hotel and we had a talk that we always choose this hotel whenever we go to Cebu and in need of a hotel stay.

My comfortable stay at Cebu R.

Cebu R is an older hotel but well maintained. On first glance one may feel it is in a not so desirable neighborhood. This is not an undesirable neighborhood but a older neighborhood with traditional, Filipino culture. I walked the streets in the evening and felt almost as if back in my old neighborhood in Boston, MA. USA. People were friendly. The neighborhood must be the only reason that my hotel fee was so affordable because the staff is among the best I have encountered including the finer hotels in the heart of the city. The room service was totally up to standard and though the rooms were old, they were clean. I was surprised at the hot water here as it was plentiful were in the better hotels it was always an issue! I have to find a less expensive hotel when I leave the island to stay in the city but naturally I don't want to compromise my comfort. I have found that place at Cebu R Hotel. I shall return again and again. Oh! I'd like to thank 'Michele' the young lady at the desk, for solving my PC issue! Thanks Michele!

Cebu City Hotel that is Spacious!

For a few extra pesos, I enjoyed a great breakfast each day. In addition, the hotel was not far from Magellan's Cross and Lapu Lapu City! Both of these locations were polar opposites for Magellan---- source of pride for Christian Converts and his death at the hands of Lapu Lapu. If you enjoy history, walking in Magellan's footsteps is a must.

This was the most pleasurable hotel stay ever. It is very clean and comfortable and the staff is really very attentive and friendly! I really cannot find a negative! They went out of there way to find a button that was lost at a local laundry, in fact it was the owner who went out to purchase one for me and I never even met the owner! I highly recommend this hotel for a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay.....and the prices are really good too!

A very pleasant surprise

Although not perfect the Cebu R Hotel is a great value and we had a very pleasant 4 night stay. The staff and friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, the bed comfy but the shower/bathtub were \"filipino\" style meaning impossible to shower without getting the floor all wet.

The big surprise was the little lobby cafe where the service was great and the food tasty.

Clearly the Cebu R Hotel is not a 4 or 5 star establishment but it was a great value and has a convenient location. We'll stay there again.

First impressions

First impression on arriving at the hotel is that it is located in a slum / shanty area, which it is. However, the hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. The surrounding neighbourhood is interesting and seems very safe. The people are very friendly and helpful, and there are some excellent restaurants / street cafes withing 5 minutes walking distance (1 great seafood restaurant and 1 street restaurant selling buckets of shrimps). For sightseeing, this is not the best location, however, taxis are cheap and plentiful, and the staff will arrange sightseeing tours. Excellent value for money.

Decent Hotel, Incredible Staff

The Hotel is decent. It is a step above a motel 6, but not much more. The room was clean. There was a crack in the wall. The shower was large and the hot water was welcome. The staff was excellent! They are a 5 star staff. It was easy to get room service. Laundry was completed in a reasonable timeframe. Getting a massage in my room was easy too. Just call and the masseuse gets there pretty quickly. They helped us arrange for a city tour. The food was great and delicious. I stayed for over a week and am very satisfied. I recommended this facility to my friends and family.

Great Hotel and Very Nice Staff

I stayed at this Hotel four nights and really enjoyed my stay. First off they gave me a free upgrade to a suite, which was perfect. The suites are very spacious and like your own condo. Second, the staff is extremely courtious and helpful. I asked them often about locations of places and tourist recommendations and they were very knowledgeable of the area. And last I really enjoyed the free breakfast and coffee. Overall a very pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again when I come to Cebu.

all staff are kind and they were trying to help me when I need theirs help. But if you want to stay here, dont go out at night. few poor kids follow me and asked some money from me. its really hard to say no. then danger.
but here is chaep and location is close from robinsons mall. Great condition ,free wifi and served breakfast will make you feel comfortable in the hotel

You need to consider before staying there...

Overall, it was not too bad choice but if I have a chance, I will choose another one. The hotel suffered damages by the earthquake last 2 weeks, and you can see the \"arts\" in the hotel's walls. The room was fair, but the noise from \"old-style\" air conditioner was terrible, unless you was too tired and forgot it. The receptionist was very nice, but she charged me PHP 50 for electric adaptor (i just wanted to borrow to charge my laptop). The breakfasts were simple but OK.

Great Service

A family friendly hotel in a great central location. We stayed only one night at the end of our holiday to wake refreshed for our flight home. The staff were very polite and friendly. The room basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast included was very nice. I would not hesitate to stay here again and found it great value for money.....especially for a family of 5 where just finding a one room for us all to stay in is difficult. Thanks to all the professional staff.

Cebu R Hotel is located near Capitol Site. It is walking distance to Osmeña circle (about 4 blocks). For most foreigners, Ayala mall is walking distance but there are plenty of taxi and jeepneys. Across the hotel is an awesome BBQ place. Highly recommended. Wi-fi is great too. They have complimentary breakfast but too small in Western standard. Try their congee, tuna and tocino. I recommend paying 1st night through online booking to secure your spot and pay cash when you get to the hotel. It will save you money.

i didnt like the toilet. its ig but the tiles used leaves the floor wet always.but the rate is incomparable.its reasonable.great for family and group of friends.

Excellent in every way, Highly Recommend!!!!!!!!!!

What an awesome place, I had the pleasure of staying here July 3rd to July 17th 2013 the staff is so friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here. The staff here planned my surprise proposal to my girlfriend, they are all great. She was so surprised. She is now my fiancée. We will never forget what they did for us.

The cost is very reasonable, the food is excellent, and the free breakfast is very good. The service is top notch. The staff is excellent. A safe and secure location to have a vacation or business trip.

I would to give a very special thank you to Aileen the manager; she went far beyond our expectations, also her staff deserve a special thank you.

People are nice and easy to talk with

Excellent service, clean rooms, bed was comfortable and good food. No its not like staying in a 5 star hotel, but it is 5 out of 5 for the money! I would stay there over and over again.

Cheap and friendly

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much, for the price of the rooms I was really impressed and I would stay there again all services provided by them was excellent, the only slight drawback is its a bit of a distance from the attractions of Cebu but this also has a plus side as it's very peaceful and quiet at the night.
