The only window in our room faced the hallway of the hotel. I was very unhappy about this. I intensely dislike rooms without windows. I asked every day if I could move to another room. I made it clear that I was willing to pay more in order to have a window. The hotel was obviously not full, but they refused to let me move to a different room. I would never stay there again. The cleaning staff skipped our room entirely one day and on other days failed to replace the wet and dirty towels.

The TV access did not work in the 2 and a half days I was there, the front desk staff was informative and polite, but did not see any willingness to take a step further, other than just saying \"there is a problem with construction outside\"
one of them dared to say, yes there was TV earlier in the day, like I was going to spend my vacation days locked in ! The intention was to watch the news late evening or early morning.

Is not a luxury hotel and did lack some amenities that you’d expect from a luxury hotel but it is a charming hotel with a lot of character and the staff members were extremely welcoming and helpful especially Luz.

The location is great. The Walled City is in walking distance. There are also great restaurants and bars close by too

This was a hidden gem. The room was spacious and the hotel was so conveniently located. Even though it was at a busy intersection, once in the room you did not hear any outside noise. The location was spectacular. You could walk to many, many local attractions. I was a solo traveler and I walked to several places. The restaurant options and night life in the area are also awesome. This place has a small rooftop pool that I used almost exclusively by myself everyday. The breakfast was good and the staff pleasant and helpful. The best part is that you can pay them right in the lobby to take you to the airport and the cost is extremely affordable.

Don't recomened a room with a window towards the streets. It is very loud outside until 3 am.

The room was clean, had air conditioning, and was very spacious. We got a king size bed and it was pretty comfortable. Pillows were a little soft for my liking. The toilet and shower were separate which was great for my friend and I. It was in a central location and located around lots of restaurants. It was a walkable and safe area. We even got a massage and it was so nice. Wifi was actually good. My only issue was that the city decided to do construction and it was located outside our door. There is no noise restriction in that area so we could hear them breaking concrete at 0100. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel. It has a Juan Valdez coffee shop attached and the breakfast was traditional Colombia food (you don’t get to pick what you want so if that’s a non-negotiable, the this isn’t for you). I also used the pool. It’s very small but was nice to have on a hot day.

Everything was great!, the hotel crew are always willing to help and guide you on any questions about the city. The room was great, bed so comfy. I would only suggest to extend the stay in the pool after 7pm, I guess 8pm would be great. Nothing is better than going to the pool after walking a lot.

I was a solo-female traveler staying here and I had a great stay. I felt safe in and around the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. I don't speak much Spanish but a good amount of the staff spoke English which was a bonus! I got an economy room which was perfect for one person. The room was small, but clean.

They provide water, gatorade, and beer in the mini fridge, which I appreciated. The free breakfast was nice and filling! The location is perfect-- super very lively, easy to find something fun to do or good to eat. I had a couple of things delivered to the hotel and the staff brought them up to my room which was so kind. The hotel is super cute, but it is not necessarily a luxury spot - just to be transparent; however, this was perfect for just a few days!

Very pleasant stay. Like many properties in Getsemaní, this was formerly a large family home. Our standard room was very small but adequate. There are options for larger rooms. There are also several areas to sit and relax outside the room. Staff are attentive and friendly. Great location to explore Getsemani neighbourhood and walkable to Centennial Park, port, and walled city.
Would stay here again.

The room was great and perfect for my dad and I ! Thank you so much for accommodating us and making us feel at home.
The breakfast was delicious and staff very nice and courteous. I asked for towels and as we got to the door the lady was already there as we were just coming in from a tour. I definitely 💯 recommend this hotel. Beautiful historic hotel located within walking distance of the main streets (food, music etc etc)…Great location ! Now, the pool is located on rooftop and it was beautiful up there. Relaxing and totally recommended for families 🙏 I carillas had the pool all by myself yesterday and was able to see the sunset 🌅 absolutely stunning.

Overall great stay. Location is wonderful and the building is a super cool older colonial era house. Staff was very helpful and the building felt very secure. I arrived early and departed late, but was able to store my luggage in their locked storage closet.

There was one odd moment though where the maid called me back into my room to give me an in-person scolding for having some spotting during the night. So light that I didn't even notice it until she pointed out the evidence on the sheet. I get that it's annoying but if you are in the hotel business, I imagine you encounter evidence of menstruation here and there. This was so mild the reaction seemed overblown.

But, this was one minor issue during an otherwise very pleasant stay.

This is a great option if you want to be close to everything. It is literally a 2 min walk to Getsemani, and maybe a 10 min walk to the historic Centre. It doesn’t feel like a walk to the historic Centre because there are bars, restaurants, stores, palenqueras, etc along the way.

- if you want a relaxing and quiet stay, this may not be the hotel for you. Maybe stay in bocagrande. Also if you want a “regular” hotel, stay in Boca grande

- if you want to stay at a location that’s close to everything, then this is the hotel for you

- much like many of the buildings in Cartagena, it is a refurbished colonial (?) type dwelling so they lean heavily towards that aesthetic - wooden ceilings, brass type bathroom fixtures, concrete flooring.

- the breakfast is the same everyday but I didn’t mind it because it was worth it to start the day

- check in and out was smooth. They adhere to 3pm check in so keep that in mind.

- there’s a Juan Valdez cafe attached to the building

- if you’re afraid of lizards - this definitely isn’t the hotel for you. I’m deathly afraid of them and had to ask the front desk to remove 2 that I saw in my room. The front desk staff were understanding and helpful. But be mindful that these creatures are apart of Cartagena’s historical identity, apparently.

- I stayed in the superior room and it was spacious with a “living room” and 2 bathrooms/showers. The bathroom area was a bit small but I didn’t mind it.

I believe a few minor adjustments would greatly enhance the guest experience. It would be helpful to have the option for early check-in, and I found that the water pressure in the shower could be improved. Additionally, providing a microwave in the room or offering guests access to the kitchen at all times would be a convenient feature. Also, ensuring the mini-bar is consistently refilled would be a welcome service.

Lastly, a more flexible policy on visitors who are not staying overnight would be appreciated, as it felt restrictive to be charged for a guest who was only visiting for a short time.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. While the property itself has a beautiful aesthetic and the morning breakfast was enjoyable, the overall experience left much to be desired. The room felt more like a basic motel than a hotel, and the number of mosquitos inside made it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. I’m glad I only booked a short stay. With some improvements to the rooms and pest control, this could be a much better experience considering how lovely the common areas are.

Hotel is beautiful, well located with our balcony facing San Felipe Fort and old City wall. Walking distance to excellent restaurants, places to see in Cartagena. O hotel é confortável e razoavelmente bem localizado - 10 minutos de caminhada do centro. Só me hospedaria novamente se estivesse sozinha no quarto, pois é super pequeno e a parede do banheiro não chega até o teto. Isso significa que você escuta aboslutamente tudo que a outra pessoa está fazendo no banheiro. A cama e o chuveiro são bons. Quarto escuro.

Todo estuvo magnifico, pero el desayuno es mu6 limitado en opciones, no en porciones. Pero siempre hay huevos.

La zona no me pareció muy segura, había demasiadas motos afuera con gente haciendo escandalo. No es una zona tranquila. Me sentí insegura apenas saliendo del hotel. Las instalaciones son bellas.

I have traveled quite a bit across six continents. I've stayed in $5/night hostels and 5 star luxury hotels. That said, I like to get what I pay for. This hotel isn't that at all. The hotel is old, and has next to no amenities. The management is weird about you bringing food or beverages into the hotel. OK. But...it is absolutely NOT a luxury hotel. And its at the intersection of two major roads. The noise is incessant 24/7! Avoid at all costs. This is coming from someone who has lived in Manhattan NYC for 30 years. I mean CRAZY LOUD.

Find a place deeper into Getsemani. The few blocks make a massive difference. There are many, many we have found that are cuter, quieter, and less expensive.

Enjoy your stay in Cartagena. The city is lovely.

For the price of this property you really can’t ask for more. The properties inside are crazy expensive, but for the price of this property you’re nearby enough to walk without any hassle, and be away from too much of the craziness. While at night, it’s not exactly the safest to walk back, it’s still fine.

The staff were absolutely amazing, they were super sweet and took care of us every step of the way.

The room itself is fine, the bed is clean but its dusty and quite old, so do be prepared for that.

Breakfast was also good and filling. Again, for the price it’s worth it.
