Perfect for us

This place exceeded our expectations. Conveniently located with restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions just metres away.
A beautiful old building with a friendly feel, we enjoyed the balcony overlooking the main street where everything happens. Special mention goes to staff at reception and ladies preparing fresh breakfast. Highly recommended.

Pros: Excellent location and great price. Cute decor. Cons: No hot water — though the lukewarm water was sufficient in the hot weather. The room did include AC, but they don’t give you the remote to control it. Also, I stayed for 3 nights, and my room was never cleaned and I was never given any new towels. Also, the windows in my room did not fully close, allowing mosquitos to get in and I got a ton of mosquito bites.

Nasty and dangerous!

Nasty horrible place and dangerous. Is horrible in all sence, the place is absolutly nothing like the pictures and bugs are everywhere. Worms and cockroaches. A lot!

This place was fine. Nothing overly exciting or pleasant but nothing terribly wrong either. It had a weird vibe though and the lobby was very uncomfortable to be in.

Nice place, good location close to center, nice staff, trying to help as much as they can.
No hot water at bathrooms. There are too many staff members that are involved in everything you need, we got a very weird feeling after paying for 3 nights and the day after we got a receipt for 2 nights and different amount...

Simple clean room in great location!

Good clean room. Friendly staff. Upgraded to a bigger room after my first night but no complaints obviously! Staff are very lovely and approachable and happy to book tours etc or give you local info. Only thing they could improve on is daily housekeeping wasn't always the case (they aim to be environmentally friendly with towel/sheet changes). They provide a laundry service for a small fee. Breakfast was simple but included which was nice. If you want a clean room in a good location this is the place for you! I decided to stay a couple extra nights here which was great!

When I got there, they didn't have my reservation. I waited and after like 40 mins i was finally able to get a room. The next morning I requested another room because some birds didn't let me sleep. They were willing to move me to another one but that one was close to the kitchen. The hairdryer didn't work and they didn't have another one for me to use. overall it was an ok experience. The hotel is close to a few fun places to hangout and walking distance to the centro.

Charming place with a good location

This is a small hotel. We found our room charming and the balcony was nice to watch people in the streets. The location was within walking distance of the main walled city and only a few blocks away from the local area square that had nightly activities. There are a lot of good affordable restaurants nearby.

A great budget hotel near the old city

This is a wonderful, cozy budget hotel within 10 minutes walk to the old city. It has a few rooms and feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. In its category, I will rate it 5 stars for cleanliness, safety, comfort and friendliness of the staff.

They could do better

Don't become to friendly with the staff, I did and paid the consequences they will wait until we leave the hotel and they will turn off the AC and Cartagena is too hot so when we come back the room is hotter than outside, the water pressure is horrible, the breakfast is ok and going back to be friendly one morning I was the first in the kitchen and Mary ignored me and gave breakfast to the other guest , the wifi half of the time doesn't work and more little things that at least if I ever go back I would not stay there. This is not that I'm mad is just they should paid attention to this details to make the place better. The good thing is right in the center and you could walk every where you are close to everything. It was our first time there and we love Cartagena but the owner should paid attention to the cleaning of the room.

An oddball hotel

This is an odd hotel. The location is excellent for access to the historical centre and local restaurants. The rooms back directly onto reception and the breakfast room so you are always woken by the morning breakfast preparations. The bathrooms also back onto the breakfast area but with only a wall and no ceiling separating them! As you might expect parties on both sides of the wall can hear each other whether they want to or not. The hotel reception is very disorganised. Nobody speaks a word of English and we spent nearly one hour using Google translate to decipher a simple credit card rejection without success. Breakfast is fresh fruit, omlete, toast, coffee and juice, the same every day. The room is clean and comfy.

Good for a budget option

The hotel is in a good location for tourist just a short Wally front the Wallis city an in a neighborhood with lively locals. The hotel was good for The price but not spotlessly clean and The tv reception in the room was poor. The bed was quite firm but i found It comfy. Also Fyi The owners were nice but do not speak any english so brush up on your spanish if you stay

Das Hotel liegt in einer Strasse in Getsemani und alles ist gut zu erreichen. Trotzdem ruhig.
Das Zimmer war vielleicht sauberer als es aussah oder mir vorkam. Mein Fenster ging zum Fruehstucksraum, daher habe ich die Vorhaenge die ganze Zeit geschlossen gehabt. Zum schlafen okay...Badezimmer oben offen und auch zu dem Raum; ist nicht sehr angenehm. Fuer ein Zimmer mit drei Betten ist das Badezimmer sehr klein. Auch so gerade ausreichend.
Nicht sehr flexibel bei Aenderungen der Buchung; aber ich konnte meine Koffer bis abends im Hotel lassen.
Touren und Services (Massage, Manikuere etc.) werden angeboten.
Tresor und Kuehlschrank im Zimmer, Terrasse und das Fruehstueck wurde frisch zubereitet.

Perfecta ubicación !!!

La ubicación es perfecta, muy cerca De la Torre del Reloj, el hotel cómodo sin lujos pero con lo necesario para pasarla bien.
El desayuno de una sola opción pero sirve para empezar el día.
Lo único que no advierten es que hay que subir gradas bastante pronunciadas ya que el hotel está en un segundo piso ... y sin ayuda subir la maleta fue toda una odisea !!!
Hay muchos servicios de restaurantes y supermercados donde comprar lo necesario
En fin ... repetiría la experiencia de alojarme en Balcones de Venecia ...

Quiero comenzar con algo positivo, la atención de los empleados es buena.
Lamentablemente, el lugar es muy feo, hay hostales que por la tercer parte de lo que vale este ofrecen mejores condiciones.
No lo recomiendo para nada.

El hotel en general no me gustó,en tres días no limpiaron mi habitación,todo es muy chico, la luz del baño funciona a sensor ( en medio de una ducha y te quedas a oscuras,por ejemplo)rescato la buena atención y predisposición de la sra Liset ( creo que se llama así) por la mañana atiende la recepción,teléfono,prepara desayuno para los que allí se alojan y además limpia. Solo se accede por una escalera empinada y mi habitación estaba pegada a la recepción.

Excelente opción económica.

La atención fue excelente, estoy muy satisfecho. De todas formas es un hotel económico donde el precio es justo por la comodidad ofrecida. Las habitaciones no son muy grandes pero son limpias, lo recomiendo para un viajero económico.

Não havia água quente para banho. Encontramos baratas no banheiro à noite. O sensor da luz do banheiro não funcionou no primeiro dia, foi consertado no dia seguinte, mas apagava enquanto estávamos tomando banho, pex. O café da manhã era preparado pelos funcionários, te falavam o que tinha e vc escolhia basicamente entre ovos mexidos, pao tostado, suco/iogurte/café e fruta (não estavam saborosas). Ficamos no quarto para a rua, e era um pouco barulhento. Ar condicionado bom, funcionários atenciosos. Localização a uma caminhada curta da cidade amuralhada.

O local é bastante simples, conforme o preço baixo indica, muito limpo tanto as áreas comuns quanto o quarto. Ar condicionado + ventilador de teto no quarto foram um feliz conforto na quente Cartagena. O quarto também conta com cofre e mini-refrigerador, além de mesa de comer, para quem prefere tomar o café da manhã no quarto e não na cozinha do hotel. A refeição é de café ou chocolate, torradas, ovos e suco natural de frutas (cada dia de uma fruta deliciosa e diferente). O pessoal é discreto, mas gentil e disponível para prestar informações. A localização é excelente e prática. Recomendo para viajantes econômicos e que acordam cedo, pois a partir das 7h se ouve o barulho da cozinha.

Es war mehr eine Pension als ein Hotel. Das Zimmer wurde nicht wirklich jeden Tag gemacht, war aber völlig ausreichend, da die Handtücher täglich gewechselt wurden und der Müll gelehrt wurde. Dafür gab es jeden Morgen frisch zubereitetes Frühstück, wenn auch nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Wäsche wurde für kleines Geld ebenfalls gewaschen. Internet war ok, Lage i.O. (eine Menge Restaurants, Bars, Bäckerei, Lebensmittelgeschäfte) in unmittelbarer Umgebnung. 5 min zu Fuß zur Altstadt. Zimmer ruhig, gute Air Con. Sicher. Hatte einmal einen Gast dabei, wurde nicht beanstandet

旧市街の中にあるので、クロックタワーまで徒歩で5分位で行けます。旧市街の街並みや観光買い物徒歩で行けます。泳げる様なビーチではないけどカリブ海近いので直ぐに行けますが、砂は黒ぽいので海も色は綺麗ではないけど近いので行けます。ボコグランデまでタクシーで10分程で行けます。あるいてもいけるみたいですが、バスかタクシーで行った方が良いです。
部屋はTVシャワートイレがあるけど、バスタブはありません。水しか出ないです。温度はそんなに冷たくないのと気温が、30度前後なので、そんなに気にはならないです。もっと高い部屋選べばもっと快適かもしれませんが、スタッフは全員フレンドリーですが、スペイン語しか通じません。喋れない人は翻訳アプリをダウンロードしておくと便利です。Wifiは無料で使えるので、Hotelでパスワード聞いてみてください。

I was stay in Cartagena for 8days .first time in Colombia I'm not speak Spanish difficult communicate with local people. Some people speak in Englush if you difficult communicate with on Spanish I recommend downloading translation app it's useful to communication .
Hotel was located old city you can walk to clock tower by walk about 5min and othre spot in old city you can walk to go shopping dinning shightseeing every thing close and convenient .
Hotel no both tab my room only shower no hot water but wheather is hot every day here I was ok stay here. But if you want to more better service you should spend more expensive hotel to stay .
Hotel had free wifi you can ask password to hotel staff.
They made breakfast every day between 7-10am you can ask front desk. They can make for it when you ask.
Over all I was stay ok I can recommend this hotel.hotel staff was friendly to me if I can more speak in Spanish more enjoy stay in Cartagena .
