El lugar es bonito, el desayuno tipo buffet pequeño pero rico, camas cómodas, muy bien ubicado, contras no hay agua caliente( como la mayoría de hoteles en cartagena), sin embargo con el calor es tibia y es agradable, la habitación que nos tocó tenía muy mala insonorizacion en un sector con mucho ruidoytiene un muy mal manejo de la humedad en la mañana el piso estaba gmojadisimo.

El baño no tenía una puerta por la que se le salía el agua fuera y el baño en general se llenaba de agua, aparte era demasiado pequeño por lo que resultaba incomodo. No cambiaban las sabanas ningún día y las toallas estaban manchadas y había que estar pidiendolas. Tampoco colocaban una toalla o similar en el baño para que el agua se centrara allí.

Casa Amanzi is nicely designed, right in the center of Getsemi, with music, wall art, good food and easy walking around the Walled city. The colors are vivid everywhere.
The staff at Amanzi are very helpful and always there with a ready smile.

The property is very run down. The plumbing is really bad and toilet runs with lots of sound throughout the night. I made a complaint to staff as I knew it would be difficult to sleep at night. They sent someone in but he couldn't really fix it and throughout all the units they were bad (this room was my second attempt).
I asked if they could give partial refund, perhaps on last two days of four day reservation, and they said no but to try Orbitz/Expedia.
Unfortunately conversations with Orbitz/Expedia were as bad or worse. A woman listened and asked about the issues I was having and then told me she will email the correct department (though they are Off Line) and I would hear back within 4 days. I told her that is inadequate as I wont be able to sleep, can I have someone to speak with or email. She said No that they are Off Line. I then told her that is there way of saying they will avoid all responsibility. She laughed.

Terrible/Terrible experience. Staff was nice and it is in a GREAT part of town. the place is just too run down.

First of all, there is no hot water in the shower so be prepared for that. Staff doesn't speak any English so you need to speak Spanish. The hot tub didn't seem to work and was filled with cold water as well.

On the bright side, the hotel is in a very touristy area where you have all the restaurants, pubs, etc.

I stayed here for two days. The rooms are very small but clean. When I went to the bathroom my shoulders are literally wall to wall when I’m trying to brush my teeth. It’s super compacted. When I brought a visitor for a hour they charged me $30 more. I did not realize this til I checked out after two days and saw a bill for $60. Their staff doesn’t speak any English at all so it might be tough. Place was clean and ok for solo travelor. Was irritated that my room bill basically doubled. And I didn’t figure it out till I check out. A warning would have been fine because I would have check out. Otherwise rooms are small and clean.

The good thing is they allow guests and they don't try to charge you or hassle you! Rooms are small, you have about two feet of walking space all around the bed, kind of like a dorm and it has no windows. the rooftop terrace is cool

Black Mold!

I have never had to leave a hotel or hostal we booked until this one. We could only stand to stay here one night. The hostel was the most dirty place we have ever booked. The bathroom was filled with black mold and the smell of it was unbearable. It was a complete safety hazard that would not be tolerated most places in the world. The bed only bad a sheet on it and no blankets and I had to ask for a second towel because it came with only one in the bathroom.

Nice location to go to restaurants and historic sites. However if the plan is to go to the beaches then you need a taxi. Good breakfast at their near by restaurant but service was slow.
Rooms are clean with good A/C but very small.
There is no elevator and going down the spiral stairs might be dangerous if you are carrying a baby. Pay too much attention and hold the rail tight!!!

Did not provide room as described, charged for it.

I had reserved this room for several months prior to my travels, and when I arrived, they proceeded to attempt to give me a substandard room, with neither a hot tub or a view (the windows were 2 portholes in the walls), with a queen sized bed and 2 single beds along one wall. And still charged me for the room amount I had asked for (the one with the hot tub and view). I inevitable had to call Orbitz to get help, and the desk help attempted to say she didn't speak English (I don't believe this to be true). Three hours later, I was moved to another hotel at about the same cost that was much, much nicer (The Kartaxa). The biggest problem with what they did was it was Naval week in Cartagena, which means most of the rooms in the city were sold out. This could have been disastrous. I do not trust this hotel.

For the price, excellent value. I paid around $35 for a single, that was comfortable and clean, with pretty good AC. My biggest complaint would be the wifi which was spotty on the 3rd floor. The lobby has a much stronger signal. Very kind / friendly staff.

This hotel was pretty generic. Nothing makes it stand out one way or another. Except, perhaps, that all the windows were blacked out so you felt as though you were in a windowless room. Also, breakfast time should be extended--7-9 is business traveler hours. no Cartagena hours. The staff were nice, the rooms were clean (though I did find a mouse) and the AC worked well.

5 nights at Casa Victoria. All rooms are around a noisy central courtyard, its hard to get any peace and quiet. Expect to be woken up by noisy guests or cleaners at any time.

Beds were very comfortable but the sheets were not very clean. Mine had hairs stuck to them. The bathroom was small. Coldwater shower only. No ventilation so the ceiling was mouldy. Water didnt drain off the floor and so ended up getting into the bedroom.

Breakfasts were pretty poor. Same everyday, scrambled egg, juice, tea or coffee and a tiny piece of fruit. Portion control to the extreme. No going back for more.

Free tea and coffee in reception but its awful coffee.

In summary, its a place to get your head down. Comfortable beds in small rooms with AC. Local vicinity reasonably safe, lots of strange people but not threatening. Local restaurants ok but nothing special. You have to pay to get good food in Colombia.

Es un lugar muy accesible y céntrico, al salir de las calles ya te encuentras en el ambiente caribeño, sólo detalles de mantenimiento en la habitación pues fallaba la puerta de la regadera y la tapa del retrete se movía, también en ocasiones no había las toallas suficientes.
Ocupé el servicio de lavandería y fue satisfactorio.

Hotel na rua da muvuca onde tudo acontece

Hotel bem localizado, perto da Praça San Domingo e do Castelo de San Filipe. Nessa rua há bastantes bares e restaurantes com variedades de comidas, incluindo as típicas da região. Há também bastante casas de câmbios o que facilita na hora da troca, assim como agências com pacotes de passeio pra todos os gostos. Porém, tem que ter cuidado com os golpistas da rua que ficam abordando as pessoas pra trocar dólar ou euro, fuja que é cilada.
Sobre o hotel. Os donos investiram na recepção, na parte externa do prédio, nas escadas, iluminação, chave eletrônica na porta dos quartos e esqueceram dos quartos, o que deixa a desejar. O quarto é um cubículo, pra não dizer uma caixa de fósforo, muito pequeno. Não tem espaço pra nada, o mesmo acontece com o banheiro que é bastante pequeno e não tem água quente, suporte pra sabonete no box e o que eu minha esposa ficamos a pia tinha vazamento. O quarto não tinha ventilação o que gerou muito mofo e mau cheiro (ver fotos). O chão do quarto era todo tempo molhado pela umidade, não tinha cortina no vidro da janela da porta o que incomodava na hora de dormir. A cama é de casal, colchão mediano, lençóis e fronhas branquinhos. Toalhas ásperas que enxugam pouco.
Não crie expectativa com o café da manhã, pois só é oferecido duas fatias de pão ou patacones e ovos mexidos. Oferecem frutas, refresco, achocolatado, café com leite e chá de sachê. A internet oscila muito.
Minha opinião: se for só pra dormir se hóspede aqui!

As fotos são enganosas, o quarto era bem menor e estava em péssimas condições, com muita umidade, cheiro de mofo e um banheiro com vazamento que piorava a situação - molhava o chão do banheiro e de uma parte do quarto. Mesmo após a troca de quarto, os problemas persistiram. NÃO HÁ ÁGUA QUENTE e nem potável no hotel (saia branca e leitosa da pia), e é muito barulhento, prejudicando o sono. Embora os funcionários sejam simpáticos e atenciosos, a qualidade geral do hotel não justificava o preço. Não voltaríamos.

The photos were misleading, the room was smaller and in very poor condition, with significant humidity, bad odors, and a leaking bathroom that made things worse. Even after changing rooms, the issues remained. There is no hot water in the hotel, and it was very noisy. Although the staff was friendly and attentive, the overall quality of the hotel didn’t justify the price. We wouldn’t return.

El servicio de recepción es malo, se fue el agua y la solución fue darnos un late check out el cual no se cumplió porque las señoritas afirmaron que regresó el agua temprano. Para darnos la compensación nos dieron un cuarto en mantenimiento que no tenía ni banca solo pudimos utilizar el baño. Adicional las habitaciones son muy muy pequeñas.

Realmente las fotos engañan, la habitación que nos asignaron estaba en malas condiciones, tenía humedad y se percibía por las paredes en mal estado y el mal olor de la habitación, pese a que la limpiaran y le colocaran muchos aromatizantes. El baño tenía una fuga de agua y cada vez que me duchaba se filtraba el agua al resto del baño y se hacía un desastre en la habitación y como no tiene ventilación empeoraba la humedad. Solicitamos cambio de habitación, en vista de que mi esposo es atópico y no aguantaba la humedad, lo hicieron pero la nueva habitación tenía igualmente humedad. Lo único bueno fue la atención del personal encargado de la comida y de limpieza, muy amables. Realmente es una pena porque están ubicados en una excelente zona, muy turística pero el hotel y la atención que ofrecen no es la mejor para el precio que pagamos por nuestra estadía, no volvería.
