Managment was very nice and the staff was friendly. However, the room was small, the wifi was slow, and I couldn't check out with a credit card and almost missed my flight. Overall, it was a positive experience but little annoyances kept it from being great.

Exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect for walking to all the things you want to see, the value was outstanding and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the Las Islas room. It had a bathroom on the first floor with 2 sinks and a nice big shower, up some (steep) stairs there was a nice bed and also a small sitting room with a desk and a large TV. There was also a steep little stairway up to a third floor with a roof top terrace and a private hot tub and outdoor shower. It was very nice and comfortable.

What an awesome place to stay. It is right in the heart of the action, but removed enough to be quiet. We had an incredible breakfast, and Paco was so accommodating to us. We were sad to leave and would book it again in a second!

I love this place. Great location in the heart of Getsemani. Outstanding and friendly service. My room was cozy and comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast was delicious. The common area is small but cute, with plants and a house tortoise. I used the jacuzzi on the roof deck which was cool not hot but perfect after a day in the sun. I helped myself to the drinks they stocked in the fridge. They helped me settle in, did my laundry, and helped get me on my way with tickets. Easy to come and go. 5 stars!

Staff was very nice. Fresh made breakfast every morning was delightful. Loved the resident turtles! The location was great, walkable to everywhere. I stayed in the Up in the Sky room, which did involve going up a narrow spiral staircase, so be aware with luggage. The room was so cute though. Loved the open air bathroom and the private balcony and pool.

Absolutely loved our time at Les Lizards! It was just the quaint Colombian experience we needed. The home is lovely with plants and vegetation everywhere. Paco was wonderful. He gave amazing recommendations, was so much fun to talk to, and was a gracious host. Cumo was the chef and we loved our breakfast time every morning. It by no means is a fancy chain hotel, but rather an experience that I highly recommend. Perfect location!!! Oh and the turtles who reside at the B&B. Wonderful trip!!!

This this property is tucked away, and you would think that being in the middle of the town, it would be noisy, but quite the contrary, it is most appealing quiet with a fabulous manager who takes care of all your needs they recommended restaurants give us a phone number to call anytime and we really felt at home. The room we had was a suite so beautifully decorated our stay was beautiful. The breakfast we got was custom made for our needs and we had it in our little patio. It is better than the five star hotel that we stayed at which had a whole lot of things that we didn’t want. Highly recommend this place.

This has a bit more of a hostel feel than a hotel (albeit with private rooms) but if you are open to that, you can meet some fellow travelers and get the chance to stay affordably in a wonderful neighborhood.

Beautiful clean room La Mer in a very quirky house. I loved the open shower, the turtles, the jaccuzi on the roof top, the owner and staff were extremely helpful. The street was quiet yet very close to the restaurants and bars. Getsmani is a very lively interesting neighbourhood full of history. Loved our stay.

This place is amazing! It was an oasis for us especially after getting sick at our stay on Isla Baru. The family is kind and sweet and go the extra mile for you. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable. My only regret is that we did not get to stay here longer.

We stayed at this place for two nights while we were in Cartagena. They made our trip so enjoyable. Nice and cute B&B with a lot of value add services. They offered free airport pickup. The breakfast was tasty. And they allowed us to leave the baggages after we’ve checked out and even allowed us to take a shower before we headed to the airport. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Cartagena!

There were ants all over our room and bed, the window was broken and ac was barely working. We had to book a different hotel after one night, the manager told us we would receive a refund for the remaining nights but refuses to honor that.

What an amazing stay I had ! There was nothing about this experience that I would change. Marcus (the owner) was very accommodating even before I arrived due to some issues I had on my end. Once I arrived, paco gave me a tour of the property and showed me to my room. He shared recommendations, and was not only attentive, but very friendly and accessible!

I enjoyed my stay here mainly because of the daily breakfast, price and location. We were walking distance to everything we wanted to do. I booked two rooms. One of them was the safari themed one and my aunt stayed in there and it was clean but the humidity would linger and smelled like it. Otherwise the service was good. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit , eggs and natural juices. The room I stayed in was clean and big enough but the additional bed was actually like a day bed so I wouldn’t recommend anyone taller than 5’3” to sleep in it. My feet were almost hanging off. They gave us towels to take on excursions as well. I appreciated the airport pick up for our arrival as well. We booked an uber on the way to the airport at the end of our trip and it was only 25000 Colombian pesos

The Up in the Sky room was so cozy and the little pool was a welcome respite from the Cartagena heat and humidity. The plants and flowers all over the hotel were beautiful. The daily breakfast, made to order, was lovely and if you hang around you may catch site of the on-site turtles.

An excellent location for Cartagena. A ten minute walk into the old town and to boat trip departures. A few hundred yards from the evening delights of Getsemani. Quiet location just off a popular plaza. A quirky hotel, with staff always willing to help. Breakfasts were excellent.

We stayed in the Africa room. It was too small for three of us, not enough room for luggage. Also, there is a table set up right outside the door of that room where guests can have breakfast or hang out, so it was noisy early in the morning.

Hands down this is just a perfect stay! We loved Les Lezards so much we extended our trip and stayed for 8 days! This meant we got to try out different rooms. All the rooms are special - they are themed - Africa (our favourite), Mexico, Santorini and La Mer. They each have a unique style. The hotel is simply beautiful - full of plants - from an open air shower we could pick mangoes (if they had been ripe!). The a/c is really efficient so the rooms provided a respite from the heat of Cartagena. The hotel is ideally located - a 5 minute walk from the centre of Getsameni - thus meant it was also a quiet haven but you could be in the thick of it with a short walk. What makes this hotel stand out though is Jean - the owners son. He went above and beyond to help us have a fabulous stay, He booked tours and gave us tips on where to go. This is a very cozy B&B in the heart of Getsemani. It is safe, clean, within walking distance to attractions such as restaurants, bars, and night life. The staff (Luis & Roman) are extremely nice and helpful. The food is delicious. You're given a map with an explanation of locations of places close to the accommodation. The owner (Marcus) was also helpful with suggestions of places to eat and drink within walking distance. We'll definitely stay in this place next time we are in cartegena.

I had a great stay but I arrived at the property without using their pick up service offer so it took me a couple of minutes to get in the property because the main entrance isn't clearly identified. There is a door that has the properties name on it but it's not main door they need proper signage.

This was a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were so friendly!! So kind and so informative. Luis was very knowledgeable in the city and gave us a map of the walled city and told us some places to go and things to do and not do. He also gave us the great recommendation to take a mini bus instead of the regular bus, like i was planning on doing, because it would be much faster and easier. I contacted Luis prior to my visit to ask if he could do anything for my boyfriend's birthday and he decorated the room with balloons and a streamer and it was great and very kind of him to do. This experience here felt personal and welcoming and i loved the property. The rooms very nice and clean and the bed comfy. We had the Santorini room so everything was blue and white themed and it was a nice vibe. The stairs in this room and leading up to it are super cool but i will say they are narrow. The shower was amazing that it was basically outside. With enough privacy that people couldnt see in but still enough openings to be in nature. The breakfast was light but good. One tip, i would sleep with the outside light on and a small towel shoved by the bottom of the door to stop bugs from entering. Of course there are bugs in nature that can't be controlled but this will help at night. This hotel was my favorite stay of my trip and I really liked how the bed had its own little area with the tv in it too. This room is great for couples. Overall an amazing experience here with great service!

From our initial arrival to our departure seven days later, this was an exceptional experience, with Marcus and the team doing everything above and beyond to ensure that our stay was a good one. The ambience of the place, chilled and informal, and the comfort of the room could not be faulted. Great breakfast made to order every day, with fresh fruit, juices, and eggs, got our days off to a flying start, and the location - right in the centre of Cartagena’s historic, vibrant Getsemaní district - gave us easy access to everything that was worth exploring.
Whether we needed directions to where to eat and what to see, or just wanted to relax with a book on the patio - or better still, soak in the rooftop pool - there was always friendly advice available, and even a cup of coffee to make our downtime even better.
Like a quiet oasis in the lively surrounding neighbourhood, and with a boisterous tortoise thrown in for good measure, this has been one of the best accommodations on our South American adventure, and we’ll definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Les Lezards! Marcus and all the staff exceeded all expectations and were the most hospitable hosts one could imagine. We were impressed right off the bat with excellent communication and then were overwhelmed by Luis’ ability to accommodate us with a quick early check in when we arrived much earlier than expected on a red eye flight. The room was an incredible oasis—a bohemian luxury treehouse with its own private terrace and a romantic soaker pool for two! The breakfast was delicious and the location was superb—walkable to the old town, the vibrant nightlife of the neighborhood, and Castillo San Felipe—yet still quiet. We loved this place so much that we extended our stay. We really couldn’t think of a better place to start our Colombia trip and would highly recommend booking here! The only tip would be that if you have any mobility issues or are a fat guy, don’t book the “up in the sky” room because there are many narrow stairs.

I really love this hotel. The style is very cool with trees and plants beautifully woven into and throughout the hotel. It is a small and unique hotel in a great part of Getsemani Cartagena. The tightly woven staircase to the view from above is really neat. The service was also excellent especially the hosts Jean and Francois... both super cool. The breakfasts with eggs to your liking...fresh fruits and fruit juices....breads and croissants of quality and good coffee. My room was also very clean and comfortable. My favorite place on my 3 week trip throughout Colombia.

The location was great in the neighborhood of Getsmani which was 10 minutes walking from the clock tower. The owners and workers were very sweet and helpful. What we did not like was our room, Afrique, which was dark and too small for three women to share. The bed was a queen not a king according to US standards. The mattress was too firm. The photos made it look filled with light and bigger. There were other rooms for two people that looked much nicer. The included breakfast and service were good.
