Centrally located about ten minutes' walk from the Historic Centre, this charming hotel is appealing in its design, the rooms are well-sized, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is pretty good. Minuses are that there's no lift and the staff's grasp of English isn't brilliant. However, for the price it's hard to beat.

Charming, small scale hotel in a historical style, waterfront, within walking distance of the historic town and Getsemani. Nice terraces (3), including one with a jacuzzi.
Excellent, welcoming and capable staff. Well appointed rooms, very clean. Great breakfast on a communal table, to share with other travelers.
I was made to feel at home during my stay (June 18-25) and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and well taken care off.
The only down sides are the club next door and the amount of traffic (especially the party buses and party boats in the evening), but a pair of ear plugs takes care of that.

I had a wonderful stay. As a solo traveler the staff made sure all needs and services were met and they were very friendly. The food was amazing too. Had a nice view from the lounging areas in the place. I liked that the location was very local to common areas and felt safe as well. Only downside there were a lot of bugs (bug spray solved the problem) that came from the bathroom window and I didn’t have hot water in the shower for the first 2 days

Best location in Getsemani

The breakfast here is amazing! And the customer service was wonderful throughout the entire trip. Please note, the hotel shares a wall with a popular nightclub and is on the main route for the party buses. It was a little loud but nothing we couldn't sleep through. Also nothing, this has the perfect location in the city - less than 10 min walk to the walled city and where the tours depart. It is directly across the street from the water. We only used a taxi once (aside from airport transfer) which was to get to Bocagrande. Otherwise, you simply cannot ask for a better location!!!

Great location, within easy walking to the conference center and the old city. Looking over Cartagena bay with sailboats passing by. Very clean, extremely friendly staff, catering to special requests for breakfast. Beautiful terrace off the upstairs hall with views of the bay.

This place felt like home, the staff was wonderful and very helpful, Candelaria made sure our room was always clean and our breakfast was ready every morning.
William was very attentive too.

I had the best experience on my 7 days in Cartagena at this Hotel.
I felt like I was a home visiting family members.
They took care of my like I was was special.
They listen and had a great conversation and were so friendly at all times.
The cleaning staff lady was loving and caring like a Mother cooking breakfast for us every morning. So special her name is Candelaria, what a beautiful loving soul. She remains in my heart. The administration gentleman was so kind and nice. I am so happy I met them . I will return for sure this Hotel.

My hotel room had a lot of street noise, even before the night club next door opens and plays music till 1:00 am. I wasn’t shown the property and found out 3 days later about the rooftop jacuzzi with an amazing view. Is nice because is near everything, beautiful bay view, but the windows are tiny! The rooms are old, tv only works with basic cable, ac constantly stops working. It was an ok one time experience, but definitely not one to come back to.

Muy limpio, staff muy servicial. Si no puede subir escaleras debe revisar si le resecan la habitación de primer piso o segundo que las escaleras son cortas. A pesar de estar en zona de ruido no molesta para dormir. Volveré.

Just far and close enough

This was a great location to stay in Cartagena. It’s just outside the walled city, but so easy and close to get to. I liked the vibe here. Beautiful graffiti and streets to wander down and take pics.

I also appreciated that my room had an excellent working ac unit and hot water. Great value for the price.

The frondesk lady was very nice but I did reserve a room for me and my girl friend they give me a separated bed in the room but the room was under the roof with no elevator and the stair are not safe the get access . Any way they change me to an other hotel that was with a lower class bedroom .I think I get rip off for what I did pay .

The hotel is an 8 room hotel, very clean and the workers are very friendly!
Ana Karina who is person that checks you in is very nice and always with a beautiful smile!!
Juliett is the person who prepares the breakfast and clean the rooms is FANTASTIC, her breakfast are delicious!!
Christian the night watch is also very attentive to your need!
I was a little skeptical at the beginning because after I booked the hotel I read about the nightclub right next to the hotel but to be honest you can't hear much from the rooms.
Overall I would recommend the hotel is away from all the tourist.

The hotel is next a very loud club which was open and going on till 4am on a Monday. The windows are not flushed but also the base comes through the walls. The stairs to my room was extremely steep with narrow rungs and no good grasp on the railing, you basically need to crawl up especially with suitcases. The staff speaks zero English and we had a lot of misunderstandings which caused a lot of invinvenniences including nky being able to confirm the cancellation I requested through Expedia. Overall, very frustrating experience, fior not that cheap of a price.

I felt at home. The hotel is clean, cozy and The staff is friendly and helpful. Maria’s breakfast are fantastic! She always greeted us with a smile.

This hotel’s location is perfect! A short walk to the center and Getsemani’s restaurant area; however, there’s a lot of clubs around it and the party bus stop is right in front of it. Needless to say it is very loud at night. There’s nothing this excellent hotel can do about it, so I recommend bringing ear plugs.

The positive-The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was ok.
The style of the room was outdated. No hot water.
The biggest issue was that the hotel was next to a club. You could hear the music in your room.
This was a big problem- especially if you are a light sleeper.

The location is ideal . Loved staying in Getsemani. The club next door was not noisy from our room . We enjoyed our breakfast, it was made to our liking . If you have bad knees ask for the downstairs rooms . We liked our room upstairs but the stairs are steep. I would stay there again, the o my negative I have to share is the following : We were offered to check out their other hotel nearby (Dorado) and my husband and I decided to give it a try . There was poor communication between hotels and it was awkward since it’s an all inclusive, and we didn’t have bands, the front staff was quick to point out that we were unwelcome there . Once it was all sorted out paying for water down cocktails we decided to check out their nightly entertainment and stay for the “disco” (big regret) . The entertainment was so/so and the disco is only for the guests so it’s was not worth paying for mediocre drinks . My advise is to stay in Getsemani and have cocktails at any of the restaurants near the Trinidad Plaza .

Charming and welcoming, overall very lovely

Great service, they were so welcoming, helpful, and kind. There's a disco next door and I could hear it through my wall, but I was so tired it didn't really make a difference. Lovely breakfast in the morning. It's on the street that's a bit on the outside of Getsemani, close enough to walk in to the middle of it but not in the thick of it, if that's what you want.

Made Me Pay Extra

I booked this hotel last minute on Expedia and was really disappointed with the experience. This hotel made me pay an additional night for having my sister sleepover despite the room having 3 beds. When I tried to argue my case with the hotel employee he basically told me I only booked the room for myself and no one else is allowed.

Was a nice place to stay, surprisingly there were real. Ice food trucks across the street by the water which were all clean and very friendly. The only suggestion, would to bring ear plugs, because the music 🎶 from the nightlife are fun but loud and will keep you up till 3 am.

Casa De Arsenal was a very cozy place to stay. It was clean

This is a bed and breakfast, not a hotel.

The owner is very unaccomodating to any needs ofv the guest. My brother and I stayed in a room one night and the next night when my girlfriend arrived, they refused to let hey stay in my room without charging me extra, regardless of the fact that my brother purchased another room for himself. Also Calle Arsenal, the road on which this \"hotel\" sits, it's one of the noisier ones on the entire city. Good luck sleeping.

Great hotel to stay in while in Cartagena.

Staying in this hotel was such a great experience. I was there with my bf for 54 days and we had an amazing time. This hotel is very well situated. 5-7 min walk to the old city. The area was pretty quiet, safe and well secured. This hotel has an amazing staff. From the moment that we walked into the hotel to check-in, to the moment of the check out, the staff of the hotel was exceptionally friendly. Candelaria in particular is am amazing woman. She was very kind and assisted us in all our needs. The breakfast was very delicious and different every morning and the fresh made juices were to die for)))) Hight recommended place to stay and enjoy the beautiful city.

Do Not Stay Rooming House

This was not a hotel a converted house that rents rooms, we never checked in, room was not as described as a superior room. Steps to climb to third floor were unsafe and not ada compliant for friends father. construction, dust and no A/c in common areas. Hotel has not complied with expedia. after two weeks still cannot contact hotel management. This rooming house should not even be on expedia. Shame on Expedia for not vetting hotels.

El hotel está muy bien, la ubicación es inmejorable, en el barrio histórico de Getsemaní, se puede recorrer todo el centro histórico a pié, muchos restaurantes en la zona. Las terrazas del hotel son recomendables, el desayuno abundante. Las escaleras del hotel están muy empinadas y pudieran no ser aptas para personas muy mayores
