If you have the chance, give this lovely little tucked away place, a whirl! My only disappointment was the WIFI was unstable and weak, so I couldn't do my work but otherwise, absolutely wonderful.

Kind people. Our trip to a attraction was in the early time of morning, the staff made us a breakfast to go. Because we would miss the breakfast at the hotell.

The hotel fasade looks abandoned which was quite worrying for me, but we arrived early to check in and were greeted with a lovely receptionist, which tried to find us a room and kindly directed us to a nearby parking.
Unfortunately thst is where the postives ended for us as when we went up the room it was extremely warm, although the fan and windows were open. It was 27c ourside. The hotel doesn't have air-conditioning of any kind or a lift... so this may be suitable for the winter time more than summer days.

We stayed here for 4 nights, booked a standard double room they put us in a family room which was quite large but the bed was up against the wall. Clean , nice modern bathroom, great shower pressure however the bed was hard as a rock and did not get a good night sleep which can effect your hole trip. Breakfast was included which was adequate. Approx 8 min easy walk into the main old square. Located off a Main Street behind Iron gates in a court yard so nice and quiet, but sign outside not lit up and does not stand out. Booked a transfer which the hotel Organised to the apartment from the airport cost us 90 pln and when we left a taxi cost us 50 pln. Reception not very informative

However there is almost no sound proof for this building, you can hear everything from the other room, foot steps, conversations, even the TV they were watching i could clearly hear. It was really loud and the customer above us was having an argument from mid night - 2:30am!!!! Bring your ear plugs.

Prpoerty was a sheer delight, hidden behind a beauriful iron gate through a qaint courtyard. Positioned within walking distance to shops and the main market square. From outside we were a bit dubious. Once we entered the courtyard it was very surprising. We had a quadruple room. This was based on the first floor. The room was very clean & bright, the 4 beds were well spaced apart & we even had table & chairs. They had provided bottled water, tea & coffee. Surprisingly in the cupboard was a small fridge. Plenty of wardrobe space, the shower, toilet was very spacious & modern with a hairdryer. The buffet breakfast was unbelievable. You could have hot food if you preferred, but they buffet had everything from cereal to hams, cheeses, biscuits, salad, bread, rolls,pancakes,toasties, omelettes. Fantastic choice also tea,coffee & hot chocolate. Fruit juices as well.

Nice little courtyard hidden from main road, small but well decorated modern room but very hot in June no air con, just floor standing fan. So much heat coming from mini fridge in a cupboard fridge ineffective hot inside, we had to leave cupboard door open. No lift top floor is 60 steps, bear in mind if you have poor mobility. Breakfast included is very good.

The apartment was a good size, however the fittings were cheap, and there was no A/C so I had to have the windows open. It was situated on a courtyard which got very noisy at times (I had to sleep with earplugs) and people also smoked on the balconies in the courtyard, so as a non-smoker all I could smell was smoke. Also be aware that on arrival you will have to sign a short-term tenancy agreement, as these are apartments as apposed to a hotel. The location of the building was on a very noisy road, and even though the apartments were on the central courtyard part of the building I could still hear trams & people on the main road. So if you are looking for a quiet smoke-free place to stay, this isn't it.

Easy access to old town, but the (paid) parking lot is quite far so you'd better hope there is a spot on the street where you can unload your bags. Cold buffet breakfast was good and there were made to order hot options. Our windows opened onto the courtyard (very cool and nice) but if people were smoking we'd have to close them right away. The front desk has fans if you request them.

The property was a short walk into the Main Square. Very quiet and exceptionally clean. Very well presented. Only thing was I was situated on third floor and there was no lift and no offer to help with luggage especially when travelling alone.

These are excellent value for money apartments just 5 minutes walk from the town square. Its not a 5 star hotel, but you dont visit Krakow for the sun and beach. You visit to see the sights which are all in casual walking distance as are many bars, cafes or restaurants. At the end of the day, Platania is perfect for local accommodation and a good nights sleep. WE will stay there again, when we return to see krakow in the summer.

Only a 10 minute walk to the old town from this hotel which is set back from the street. Spotlessly clean and beautiful bathroom in a quiet room. Breakfast lovely. The only complaint from us was the very hard mattress but I think this might be usual of the region.

For the money paid this apartment was excellent value. It was situated about 10 minutes walk from the attractions in Krakow and was very quiet away from the busy road. The breakfast room was a bit small but food was good. Apartment was clean and adequate for a few days stay.

Very close to the Stare Miasto. About 1km from the river (I went for some long runs along the riverside, great views...), about 700 m from the main train station. I did not use the trams, but there is a tram stop very near. Friendly service. Nice breakfast.

Good apartment hotel with nice breakfast situated near old town square. Ideal for visiting all areas of the city. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant and room very clean. Beds very firm which may not suit all. Access via a courtyard with gates on the street which were locked in the evening meaning felt very secure as access granted by reception only. Would certainly go back.

In Poland the people are generally friendly - so it is no surprise that they were here at this hotel. However what sets them apart is that they went the extra mile at a drop of a hat!!! For example we arranged a tour through them that left before breakfast service started so they kindly provided some food to take with us. In al a very good hotel!

We were disappointed to discover that although we had a fridge it did not work. After enquiring with reception we were given the opportunity to put things in the kitchen fridge which wasn't really the answer! There was a lot of noise throughout the night made by people coming in & out, up and down the stairs. We were given duvets, separate covers (presumably to make our own beds), it was too hot to use a duvet but were not given top sheets so had to use duvet cover as a sheet! On a positive note breakfast was excellent.

Fantastic 4 day stay with breakfast included. Got a bit concerned with lack of air-conditioning but I asked if they knew anywhere that sold a fan on my first night and they said they had a spare!

Great hotel hidden away near old city
This hotel is simple and quaint -- no frills but clean, quiet and very close to the old city at a very great price. I have stayed here two times and am thankful for it. A hidden gem in the heart of Krakow.

The noise and smoking make it a no-go.
Room was excellent, buffet and service superb, but the noise from the courtyard was constant throughout the night and the smoking of people in the courtyard always came directly into the room. Talking and smoke into your room (and I was on the 3rd floor) every night between 11pm - 6 am. Then more people talking in the morning so you can’t even catch up on the sleep you lost during the night. There is no ventilation so you must open the windows for any air - this means you will get no sleep throughout the night from the constant talking and smoking. It’s such a shame, but never again.

You walk in to this little hidden treasure. Through a small courtyard to the entrance of the hotel. Lovely clean rooms staff been so helpful. I asked about tours and they pre booked these for us. And a taxi from the airport, which made it very hassle free for us. Highly recommend and will happily stay here again. Depends how quick you walk but is 5-10min to centre/cloth hall straight down the road. convenient location. Buffet breakfast so much to choose from, and on request they can o oats/porridge, scrambled/fried or omelette.

More than your money’s worth
Myself and my partner have just stayed at the Platinia for 4 nights, the hotel was helpful right from the off and ordered a taxi to pick us up from the airport. Staff were really helpful and the hotel room was spotless. The shower and bathroom was perfect. It includes a breakfast which was ideal as well with plenty to choose from. 10 minute walk from the main square and not too far away from the Jewish quarter. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.
